Tapas Tapas in Sefton

Fab experience as always. Was a busy night but never once felt the service was less than the normal. The staff make you feel very welcome and try always to accommodate any requests. I have mobility issues and therefore struggle with stairs and high stools, but I let them know when booking and all was sorted on arrival. The food was excellent and the standard was as good as on previous visits. This seems to be a problem in many restaurants we have found recently is maintaining consistency, but not here as so far never been disappointed. Our problem only is we over ordered, not difficult with so much choice. Every dish was delicious , our favourites being the gambas pil pil and the bacalao with pea puree and chips, yum. An all round lovely evening at a reasonable price. Tapas Tapas has been here for over 20 years and long may it continue

Excellent food & service. Best Spanish food I have had in Liverpool. Amazes me places like this aren't very busy but the likes of So Salsa and Lunya are when they serve up crap.

Out of 4 people, 2 got forgotten about. We had to remind them. So half of our company started to eat 20 mins after the other 2. Started badly with the waitress delivering a bottle of wine to the table with the cork stir in situ. We got one of our bottles of wine for free. But it didn’t negate the poor experience we had. This night followed on from a similar experience there a month ago. The food was really nice. But none of us will be returning anytime soon. Twice bitten thrice shy.

One of our favourite restaurants. Food is always amazing and service is great. Last night they seated us downstairs, our son had a bit of a meltdown as we usually sit upstairs. Quick word to the waiter and he accommodated us promptly. Empty plates all round. Can’t recommend it enough. We’ve been going there for about 18 years and keep returning.

Enjoyed eating lots of small plates of tapas here on Saturday evening. Good value, great atmosphere and very tasty food. We especially enjoyed the belly pork with cherry sauce and the ribs with BBQ sauce. Everything thing served was piping hot and well presented. Wine is also very reasonably priced. Enjoyed a couple of generous cocktails too. We were very well looked after by Ella who was both friendly and knowledgeable.

It's perfection food always amazing staff are so friendly and polite. Can't wait for my next visit

Went here as a last minute thing, and we weren't disappointed! The food was excellent, with generous portions, and the service was great. There was so much on the menu we wanted to try, but just couldn't fit it all in!

Lovely place, eaten here many times with my wife and the family and the food is always amazing. A great selection to choose from and always specials to try. Always looking forward to the next time we are going.

Came here about 20:30ish yesterday as online it says it's open until 10pm. Asked the waitress if they are still servicing food to which she said yes, then out of no where comes a male member of staff he said something along the lines of "oh no no we usually do but not tonight" had a big pause (to think of a lie presumably) then continued to say the chef has had to leave due to a family accident. The waitress looked completely confused at him saying this and frowned as if to say why would you say that. It was obvious the man was lying as I don't understand how the waitress wouldn't have been informed of this and also judging by her response to the man with a puzzled/confused look. Perhaps the man wanted an early date and to close up earlier as it was quiet on a weekday evening. But to tell a lie like that is bizarre he could have just said no sorry, the interaction was pretty bizarre and unprofessional especially when it was blatantly obvious he'd told a lie to customers.

First time here, won't be the last. Staff were efficient and really friendly. The food was delicious with great variety.

Second visit to Tapas Tapas to celebrate my Mum’s birthday and it didn’t disappoint. Fab food, great atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. Would recommend highly.

Very friendly restaurant, helpful, happy staff and fantastic food. We had 12 dishes between 4 of us and every one was delicious. Our 1 year old granddaughter even picked at some of the food! She loved the fish. My favourite was the belly pork, it’s so nice!

First visit to Tapas Tapas after a friend's recommendation and reading social media reviews. I was not disappointed. From a friendly welcome to a lovely atmosphere, fabulous menu (spoilt for choice), great service, and first class food, I left wondering why I had not been there before. We visited Tapas Tapas many years ago before we moved from the area but having recently moved back decided to book for our anniversary. Excellent Choice! Cannot fault the food, best Tapas we have had in this country, or even Spain for that matter. Reassuringly the dishes did not come out at an unbelievably fast rate, which made us realise that most of the dishes we ordered were cooked to order and all lovely, fresh and hot. We had joked with the man in charge that we hoped the Sangria was as good as one we make at home, which it was, but fortunately we could still stand-up after theirs!! All the staff work their socks off and are all friendly and helpful. I was concerned about disabled facilities (which was not a concern at all when we visited years ago) but no problems at all with access and toilet facilities, I just mentioned on booking that we needed a ground floor table and it was sorted. Fab little place that we are lucky enough to have on our doorstep

Love this local tapas bar! Consistently great tapas, friendly staff and fab cocktails. Never fails to impress , so lucky to have this little gem on our doorstep!

Really lovely food. However, there aren't many staff on the floor if you need anything. I had to grab the girl at the bar's attention for a drinks menu as your paper menu is taken away when you order and the drinks are on there. Cocktails are lovely though, quite pricey at 9 pound a go which is expensive.

Every dish was incredible. One of the best restaurant meals we've ever had. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. 100% recommend!

There was 3 of us and we ordered 9 tapas. One of them was croquettes and we left 2 cos they were so dry. Told the waitress thought it would be taken off the bill but no. On their website said did early bird menu but got told no longer do it! That was the main reason we went. Wine very pricey wouldn't go back!

As always a lovely meal, well attended and presented by charming, friendly people. Love going to Tapas Tapas. :-)

I have been going here for over 20 years, and it's amazing that the standard has never faltered. It's my favourite food served my favourite way. Delicious tapas, staff are amazing, great atmosphere, and you should really try the cocktails while you're here.

We had never visited before but having read the reviews we wanted to give a try. From start to finish I haven’t had a meal like that in a very long time. Staff were amazing and attentive but not pushy, the cocktails were the best I’ve had especially with the candle floss. The food though was just wow. We got 5 small plates and just unbelievable. The pork belly, the perfect steak, the most amazing halloumi to the rack of ribs. And for tapas it was so much we got a takeout. Absolutely outstanding

Lovely tapas restaurant. I stopped in with my wife and 2 young kids. There is a small kids menu but it's a good selection and deal of a main, drink, side and ice cream. Overall, food was great, the staff were really friendly and fun, the atmosphere was chilled and comfortable too.

We went here for my 21st birthday as we absolutely love Spanish tapas. This place did not disappoint and the food, cocktails and dessert were amazing! We were so shocked to find that neither owner/chefs were Spanish as the place was SO good. Highly recommended to anyone and will definitely be visiting again. The servers were also very attentive and kind.

Great Tapas Friendly professional service

It's lovely and well priced. We went with our 2 Yr old and to be honest, it's not the best place for loud toddlers as it's a small and intimate place so we really felt like everyone was sitting with us as our child loudly ate his dinner. We ended up leaving early because of that. I think next time we will ask to be seated upstairs as its a bit bigger up there.

My favourite meal from my trip to Liverpool was from this restaurant. The staff were absolutely lovely and attentive and the atmosphere was amazing too. We ordered the steak with rosemary potatoes (personal favourite), pork belly, paella, calamari and pan duo and everything was just so delicious. I would say to keep in mind that each tapas is quite filling so make sure to not over-order and to definitely book a table in advance since the restaurant was quite full when we went on a Friday night.

After years supporting tapas tapas had a disappointing time tonight. Firstly asked for a table upstairs none available then watched 4 people who had not booked taken upstairs then 2 more who had a short wait who also had not booked taken upstairs. We were told it was a large table who had finished but we never saw anyone leave whilst there. We ordered and the olives we ordered first never came but we did get someone tomato toast ( sent back) We then got 3 meals still no olives. The Olives arrived so l had to send my food back as it would have been cold. Altogether a very disappointing meal. They offered to take off the olives but we ate them and l believe in paying for what l get. Disappointed.

Most of the food was great, really very tasty. The breads could of done with been charred on the grill and the steak was a little let down compared to the rest of the food.

Hi wife and I were visiting Liverpool and walk past on our way to the hotel. Something about the restaurant just look right so we went back in the evening. We had a great meal with good wine and very good service. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant at all.

The best restaurant to ever exist. If ever I’m asked where I want to go- Tapas Tapas . Bad day- tapas tapas. Celebration - Tapas Tapas. My last meal if I were to be on death throw, would be from here. Best food ever. The atmosphere is amazing & the staff are absolutely fantastic. It feels like a second home now. My only qualm is that I didn’t find this place sooner.

Lovely tapas restaurant and friendly attentive staff, would reccomend!

This is a great place, still great after the 5 or 6 year gap since we were last here with two of our grandchildren. Reasonably priced, excellent quality, good range of tapas. Remember to book on a Saturday: if we'd been five minutes later we'd have been disappointed.

Was ok would expect a bit more for the price. Food was burnt with not much flavor.

I come to Tapas Tapas quite a bit, if I could I'd be there once a week. Drinks are amazing, food delicious as always, service outstanding! Always a joy going down. Big shout out to Aiden, one of the service staff, proper outgoing lad proper sound but all staff are just as amazing. Couldn't decide between two cocktails (Strawberry & Balsamic Daiquiri / Candy Flosa Sour) so asked one of the women there to surprise me , got the Candy Floss Sour and was not disappointed. Also got the Blood Orange & Mango Mojito, my girlfriend got the Berry Nice. Food wise, the Goats Cheese is my favourite but the Croquettes are to die for. On the day I visited they had a special on, I went for the cheeseburger tacos which were lovely too. Overall, I 100% recommend heading down and trying out the food and drink and even heading down to see Bodega Del Lobo their newly opened bar! I know I'll be back soon, so I'll see you all again!! Thankyou!

All the staff were lovely. Aidan, our waiter, was an absolute joy - really welcoming. Food was quick to come. Generous portions, great value. My candy floss cocktail was lush. Really clean. Relaxing atmosphere.

The only positive thing about the restaurant is the service. We went to try it since it had a very good score, obviously the score has been given by people who have never eaten in Spain. We ordered paella, one large (only seafood) for three and two small ones (meat), all the paellas had very stale rice, the small paellas tasted burnt, the large one had nothing to do with a paella, it didn't taste like anything . One of us complained, they took away her plate of paella (small paella) and took it off the bill, the rest of us made the effort. The croquettes were not that bad (4 come), however the Iberian ham flavor did not exist. The steak with potatoes, I understand that it is "tapa" but the price is exaggerated for the size, it was not even half a steak, plus it was very fine for £9. The only similarity to patatas bravas is that it has potatoes. The prawns alone, almost £2 per prawn. The olives and bread are very good. In general we left super disappointed, Spain only had the atmosphere and the name.

Lovely tapas restaurant a short walk from Crosby beach in the heart of Waterloo. The service is friendly and super quick and the portions are generous, tasty and nicely served. Can't wait to go back to try more of the food :)

Terrible service dirty not clean at all, the family who Owned it originally no longer run it, it’s been a while it was a beautiful establishment 10 years ago since the new owners it’s gone down really bad. I was so Disappointed the sangria was just flavoured juice with a few chunks of fruit filled with ice cubes there was blue bottles flys everywhere I don’t normally complain but the atmosphere was terrible. I didn’t stay for my food I was put off by the appearance sorry to say it’s not worth travelling out too so disappointed

The staff are professional but also friendly, you can have a laugh and joke with them. I love the food and the atmosphere here. It's accessible for me and my daughter, we are both disabled and use crutches or walking stick and sometimes a wheelchair...

We looked for a Tapas place in Crosby after visiting The Iron Men and searched reviews to find Tapas Tapas. We were highly impressed and left happy. Food, drinks, portion size, ambience and everything about the place was great. Staff were so friendly and fun. Brad was particularly great, and helpful with a few things, including advice for a friend with a severe nut allergy too. Couldn't recommend more highly. We'll be back!

The food here is fabulous and a great selection of tapas and drinks, and a really good vibe. My daughter and I have been going to Tapas tapas for many years now, and much prefer it Spanish restaurant in Liverpool centre. We're so lucky to have this fabulous restaurant on our doorstep.

Huge portions. Staff really friendly. Food OK. The meatballs were good, the fish batter was way too thick and the potato dishes, although voluminous, were a bit dry and bland. Wine not at silly prices.

Food was tasty and generous portions, reasonable price. The only problem was that the tables were small and became cramped when the dishes arrived and the fish goujons had quite thick batter. Staff were friendly.

We attended this restaurant this afternoon and was so impressed!! The food was gorgeous, very big portions, the waiter (I think his name was Bradley… sorry if that’s wrong) was so nice and friendly. Loved the concept of writing on the menu what you wanted (that way nothing could be missed) The goats cheese was the nicest I’ve ever had!!! Thank you

Came here 28/02/23 with my boyfriend for a little date night. Our server was absolutely fabulous from the get to, couldn't have been more helpful, we didn't manage to catch his name but he was a youngish lad with braces, absolute credit to the company...

Our new favourite place in Waterloo. The food is amazing with huge portion sizes for small plates, wonderful freindly staff and i would highly recommend the Prawns and the pork belly bites but everything we hade was delicious

Great Spanish place in New Brighton.

I’ve been to Tapas Tapas many times they have really raised their game recently they have moved away from the cocktails and concentrated on quality tapas and service. Probably the best place to eat on South Road ❤️

Great sangria, food and staff. Lovely vibe about the place and they are so happy to ‘tweak’ the dishes to suit- sign of a ‘proper restaurant’ to me.
