Came in yesterday was served by Connor who was very friendly and always had a smile on his face. It seemed that he was working on the bar and in the kitchen if he was the breakfast was spot on and will deffo be returning again soon

Came in for food and got perfect service. Connor was in the kitchen and made a great bacon and cheese toastie. Stayed in for the footy and also grabbed a bacon and cheeseburger which was also lovely. At a great price… was served by Nathan and Becca who also had a massive smile on their face and delivered quality service. Thank you all! Will be back. The Shanghai Dave was also on in the nighttime which created a great atmosphere as there were plenty of shouts!

Went for breakfast with family lovely staff and food was served quickly and nice and hot with friendly staff the atmosphere was also very friendly staff happy to help couldn’t fault anything cleaned dishes away when finished in good time we even had a vegetarian with us and staff went out of there way to make sure everything was fine for us

Great time with the family on Friday, food was amazing and the service by Nathan was unmatched! Will be back again! Recommend the fish and chips too

I have never left a bad review ... ever .... however I feel like I've been literally robbed!! Ordered off just eat through 'dough masters ' advertising authentic pizzas made with sour dough bread .. looked great!! ( italian vibe ) 2hrs later delivered 3 pizzas each filled a quarter of the boxes they were in ... looked like tesco kids pizzas !! I'm not exagerating ! 2 portions of chips ( dry and cold ) £52 ... no number to contact dough master I literally had to track down the address and found its the valentines pub !!! Tried to phone them ... off the hook !! I would never have ordered if I'd known it was a pub ... livid ... I have complained through just eat and I will be going in to see the manager . Totally unacceptable to front as something u clearly are not !!!!!

Lovely place to visit for food or just for drinks. Walking in I was greeted by Bec and she was an absolute delight all night, always very polite and pleasant, a real joy to be served by. Shannon as always a pillar of the pub and a credit to her craft, ensuring all the guest are comfortable and having an amazing night! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good food, great laughs. All around great pub with fabulous staff.

The new £5 menu is bizarre! I’m really not sure the quality of burger or fish etc you can get when it’s less than £5 worth of produce. Very disappointed the small plates have gone, the lunch time menu and the Sunday menu, also the normal menu, such a limited selection of food. Not sure who this £5 menu is aimed at. I’ll be going to the Blue Anchor from now on.

My sister and I came for breakfast at 11am. We were served by very polite and friendly staff. We both had a traditional breakfast, one meat and one veggie, both were delicious, I would highly recommend a visit and I will definitely be back.

A group of 27 of us attended for the lunch and Motown event on Valentines day. The food and service were excellent. The drinks were very cheaply priced. The singer had the whole pub rocking. I will certainly recomend this venue to others.

I am regularly served here by Kate. She is the most beautiful kind and helpful member of staff I have ever been served by in my whole life and that’s saying a lot because I am never off the ale. This lovely young girl should really be rewarded with a pay rise/ paid night off xx

Lovery atmosphere on new years eve 😊

I go here often for food and I've never had a bad experience. Fast forward to Christmas day, me and my family went last Christmas and it was chaotic. To the point we had to take our deserts home because they hadn't organised the day. This year was miles apart. Food was lovely, portions were perfect and the staff were great. Glad the management team took their time out to listen to last year's problems and rectified them.. whole day was great. Already want to book for next year

Came here for our Christmas dinner. The food was great and we really enjoyed it. Service was definitely better than last year as we had complete focus on us and all the diners. While other staff focused on the drinkers. Would definitely book again,well done to Shannon,Natalie and team as well as ste and Dan the chefs.

Class gaff, one of the best in Aintree. Becca is one of the best Bar Maids L10 has ever seen, her guiness pours have definitely got better!

The steak was tough and gristly. The barman was on his own doing everything. The chips were awful oven chips, all the small bottom of the bag kind.

Heard on the grapevine this place had new management so thought we’d give it a go. We were not disappointed.. Great choice on the menu,enough choice for all the family. Reasonably priced food and drink, will definitely revisit in the future

Called in with family for food and drink, the staff were really friendly and made us at home. The food was great quality and no waiting at all. We had a few small plates which went down a storm. Some of the group had fish n chips and loved it. Was nice to have a choice of mash, chips or waffle fries when ordering. We will return very soon great pub

Visited 14/6/23. Very clean and friendly pub. The food was very good, will be going back soon.

Visited for a meal. Food was served really quickly and the staff were very friendly! The manager in particular (I cannot recall his name) was lovely, offered a free dessert for the birthday boy! Dog friendly too, which is always a bonus 🐶 The only negative is the lack of on site parking, but there’s plenty of on street parking nearby, so it wasn’t a problem. I’ll be back!

Looks like a lovely community pub. I only stopped for a quick pint on a little walk around the area as always passed it by car. Will be visiting again.

First time visiting the Valentine the staff were so welcoming especially Gemma she was lovely and a credit to your company. Now onto the food we ordered sharers and steak the food was piping hot and the steak was cooked to perfection. I will be recommending to my family and friends. Will deffo be back again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came here for my daughter's 2nd birthday. We pre ordered Sunday lunch which was taken down wrong. We where compensated with a bottle of wine. Food was good but we weren't able to have a conversation as it was very loud. Would come back but not as a large party.
