Fantastic service from Lewis and his team of young ladies as always, today we had the Wild Mushrooms and the French Toast which were both exceptional, coffees were also gorgeous and our little dog was made very welcome.

Okay breakfast. Terrible service and terrible coffee. Waited 45 mins for food. Sat over 15 before for coffee order. Complained. No real apology. Have been here three times and always slow. Progressively worse each time. Will never go back.

Beautiful restaurant, great food, but terrible service. was sat outside for more than 10 minutes no one service no anyone gave me menu. staffs were standing the bar chatting no one came to me ask me what I need when I walked to bar.

Had a delicious lunch here with my mum. I had the truffle, mushrooms, bechemel and poached eggs on sourdough - it was amazing! My mother had the caramelised onion and goats cheese wrap and very much enjoyed it, which is high praise as she is a fussy eater. Good selection of juices are available, a bit pricey, but very nice and full of goodness. It has to be said the service was a little slow. However it was incredibly busy. It’s a bustling little place, with a great atmosphere. Only the lovely blonde girl appeared to be on the ball and was the only one who realised when we wanted to get their attention. We both very much enjoyed our lunch and would love to return soon.

We reserved a table in the Tearooms on Saturday for a together with friends. The staff were really helpful and friendly especially Lewis. We all had drinks and pizzas and had a lovely night. Thanks Team Tearooms.

I had the best Avocado with Eggs on Sourdough here. Lovely chunk of thick bread, nicely smashed Avocado and perfectly poached eggs. Mr J3 a breakfast sandwich with Avocado and fried eggs. Massive and tasty. Will definitely come here as our go to brunch place.

Shocking service. Waited 15 minutes from paying for drinks at the bar to actually getting drinks. They need to ditch the table service. Wasn’t that busy on a Saturday afternoon. Gin and tonic didn’t taste like it had any gin n it. Lots of bar staff standing around chatting rather than serving drinks Probably wouldn’t come back. I might die of thirst first!

Really enjoyed my visit here, i had brunch full English which was very nicely presented and delicious! Coffee was good and service was attentive. Highly recommend coming here for food.

I came for brunch with my family and we were served really promptly. I had a hazelnut cappuccino which was so good. I also had a toastie and added cabbage soup which I was a bit on the fence about before ordering, but it was so good and portions are huge. I'll definitely come back.

Again another excellent breakfast experience; made so by Caroline, who is charismatic, highly efficient, helpful, kind and always with a smile. Caroline is both a credit and an asset to the Tea Rooms. If only all there were like her.

A great place to eat and drink, both inside and out. The staff are always nice and attentive and always happy to chat when they have a moment to do so. I was served by Aimee the manager and Caroline today, who are always very pleasant, and not just with their regulars but all their customers.

10/10 food was excellent. Went for chorizo eggs and th flavour was beautiful and portion size was good too. Mrs had the wild mushrooms and was excellent also. Would highly recommend. Chef Nicky was amazing as my Mrs has a few allergies came out and guided us through brilliant every step.

Awful food - food undercooked made me feel ill very disappointed staff not bothered in the slightest very disappointing

I came here with my partner and our little puppy here to have a quick drink. The lady and the guy were really nice and as soon as they saw our puppy they offered him a bowl of water which I really appreciated the most. We’ll definitely come back again. We came on 19th February night time:)

Lovely, dog friendly, reasonably priced venue. Great staff and atmosphere David and the young lady that were in 19/2/24 were very attentive and accommodating. After looking through the reviews it seems very clear that the negative ones are from people that would be better suited in a wetherspoons... the only possible improvement to consider would be for the owner to sort out the taps in the gents so that both work xD

Great place. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious. I had avocado, cream cheese and halloumi on toasted sourdough bread and my husband had soup of the day and goats cheese and caramelised onion on toasted sourdough bread. Both were delicious. First time we've been an8d we will be going again.

Food and service are superb here. Breakfasts are lovely and it's a relaxed atmosphere. Added bonus is that it's dog friendly inside and out so we can all visit.

There was a long wait, which was explained, but seemed a little ott. Food actually came quicker than expected. We all had various breakfast dishes, fairly good, but expensive for what it actually was. Coffee average and overpriced. Overall a little pretentious!

Had a coffee there many times. Called in last night for a drink. Charged £7:80 for two Halves of lager. Yes £7:80 !!!!!! That’s £4:90 for half a pint of lager. Ripping people off won’t be going in again ! My advice stay well clear

Went to Tearooms with my sister for my birthday lunch today and couldn’t have been more disappointed. We were served a drink and were told by the waitress she would be back in a minute to take our order. 25 mins later we had to ask if we could give our order. I ordered a Croque Madame. When it arrived it was nothing like I expected. It was a small croissant (not toasted) with bacon inside a load of sloppy cheese sauce and a fried egg on top. It was disgusting and I did express this when it arrived but as we had already been there for almost an hour and you can only park for 2 hrs on the street outside I decided to give it a go but it was awful and I sent it back. Croque Madame is a cheese and ham toastie with bechamel sauce on both sides and fried off in a hot pan giving a crusty finish and then topped with an egg. This effort failed on all levels and they were charging £8.50 for it. I am a local and will never eat there again.

Really liked this place, but won’t be going again. A large coffee is now £4.50!!! It’s the most expensive coffee we’ve had in Birkdale and surrounding area!!

Tonight in tea rooms the latest news, David has been found and well providing the most refreshing beverages. Always so happy with his service and positivity. So much better than the trashy clubhouse which has “no identity as a business” nothing original in that place you don’t know if you’re in maccies or a curry house. Unlike the elegant food and drinks you are served in Tea Room!! We will see you soon David, wherever you end up next, loving the playlist as usual ;) xxx

Horrible place all cold drinks are all ice and no drink, same with the cocktails amd I'm paying £9.50 for just ice? Extortionate. everyone was extremely rude and on their phones not very professional if I do say so, they asked me do you want a drink in a rude manner with their arms crossed and no smile. My mum went in a week ago and she ordered a cappuccino amd they had spilt her drink with the biscuit just to be soggy. I WONT BE COMING BACK!

Good coffee. Presented well. Also conveniently open until late, so if you’d want a coffee at night, this is great.

Came in for brunch last week, daughter loved her French toast, my mushrooms on toast were pleasant,would have been improved with a bit of cream or cream cheese run through them (my personal taste), but as always great service and funky music soundtrack.

Often visit for drinks with friends but won’t be rushing back. Service was abysmally slow and prices exorbitant.

Just went for coffee. Lovely friendly staff. Don't have cider on draught.

Just had lunch at the Tea Rooms. We go in fairly regularly and the food was up to its usual high standard. However just wanted to post about how efficient and friendly the service invariably is when we go there. Well done!

First visit just after Christmas we weren't allowed to order food for 15 minutes because they were busy and stopped taking food orders. Wait for food was about 30 minutes.The waitress said their kitchen is only small. Just seems odd to not take orders because then the chef doesn't know what's coming. Second visit just after new year we arrived ten minutes after opening to be told the coffee machine isn't ready yet and will be another ten minutes. The coffee machine should be ready when your doors open. The coffee itself was nice when it arrived. Third visit today at 4.20pm, nice waitress, was told the coffee machine is switched off for the day now. I won't be bothering anymore.

Brilliant Coffee and fantastic staff and atmosphere

I've been going to the Tea Rooms a couple of times a week for the last few months with a friend. The coffee is nice and the staff a great. I went as usual yesterday and had 2 Flat White and a 1 shot Cappuccino I asked for my flat white to be put in a latte cup,as this is what I did on Tuesday. When it came it was in the normal cup which I thought fine no problems. When I paid the bill to my horror they had charged me £3-00 for the lager cup that I never got ! That means it cost me £4-50 for a larger Flat White that I never got. Rather than saying anything as I was with a friend I simply asked "why so expensive"? I was told "well things have gone up in price you know" this from the same waitress who tried to charge me £3-00 for 2 glasses of milk WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE the week before.! It was tap water so I could take a tablet. Sadly I will not be going back to the Tea Room again as that is now twice I've been ripped off.

No no no. First time I tried this place it has run out of food. Second was for brunch. Three staff in for a full place with early a long long wait for food. Only one staff actually taking orders and serving. She was sunshine and loveliness. Cannot be blamed. Man behind bar doing very little. Just shoddy. Unnecessary. Get more staff. Really poor. I saw more than me leave in frustration. Please fix this owners.

Nice place. Good, friendly staff and quite good coffees. Very popular spot along the trendy Birkdale strip.

Stopped in for drinks and lunch and had a really nice time. The Flat White coffee was really good. My wife and daughter had the all day breakfast baps which were great quality and a good size. I had the Croq m’moiselle which was lovely. Friends relaxed service, recommended

I had a ladies brunch here for my birthday, I must say Charlotte is a lovely hostess and we got lots of attention from the great staff. Brunch was beautiful best black pudding I've tasted and the drinks were flowing. Thank you to Charlotte and her team for a fabulous day x

Disappointed.Is not allowed to smoke outside ,coffee was not good. Bitter .

Mostly I have enjoyed the tearooms but on the last two occasions been very disappointed.

This place is perfect for a study session. The atmosphere is so calming and I felt less stressed. The coffee here is 10/10 as well as the comfy couches. -Your Friendly Advisor
