Great pub with loads of charm and character. Fabulous, welcoming staff. Very good selection of drinks and food. Just as importantly, the customers were really friendly. I only recently discovered this place and am already looking forward to taking friends there!

We come up to Liverpool 3-4 times a year but never been here but heard good things about it. Proper old pub with decent food and very reasonably priced. All our meals were really really good from the gammon, burgers , pies and curry dishes we all enjoyed it so much. The Indian girl at the bar was exceptional but the other 2 were not as enthusiastic as her but that’s just our observation. Definitely return as food was so good. Keep up the good work.

I booked this last minute for my daughter’s 21 for drinks. We originally wanted the back room but finally when we went to book it the back room was no longer available. Amy was so good to us & offered us space in the main bar. We were a bit apprehensive on how this would work but when we arrived on the night it was perfect. The room layout was perfect, with a sectioned reserved area. The bar staff worked really hard on the night & the resident DJ made it a great night. The food was amazing & loads of it! I don’t know how the kitchen managed it especially because they had another party in the back room and the food service was so close together! A big thank you to all the staff for helping us sort everything out in such a short time frame. Would highly recommend it!

Great atmosphere here, been coming for years, always has great singers on a Saturday afternoon, vinyl shop upstairs is quality for a flick through! Love coming here.

The choice of real ales was very good. A true character pub. A sure inclusion for a pub crawl around Liverpool City centre.

Bad service. Don't need a hot drink slammed on the table from behind without a word spoken, thank you. Or cleaning the table I'm sat at with a spray, again without saying anything.

Lovely breakfast this morning. £10 for a good quality extra large breakfast is great, and the service was fab. It’s good to see a local business seemingly thriving as there were plenty of people in there.

Very friendly pub, good prices and animal friendly. Anna and Cody are always welcoming. Live entertainment on a weekend which is always brilliant. Couldn't recommend anymore.

Disappointed is too weak a word. Salmon and scrambled eggs is a pretty simple ensemble to rustle up but unfortunately the chef burnt the eggs and the salmon was well past its use by date. At least they know how to toast bread. Told what appeared to be the manager when she enquired was everything ok and she took plate away without reply. Still paid the bill of course. Won’t be back.

Only been in on daytime sessions but always been good. Decent music usually playing too.

Super Frühstück zu vernünftigen Preisen. Die Qualität ist einzigartig , leider muss etwas Wartezeit eingeplant werden. Das Café wird sehr stark besucht aber es lohnt sich zu warten. Das Service Personal gibt sich große Mühe. Gerne wieder...
