We stayed at May Duncan's for two nights as we were meeting up with life long friends who recommended this Pub to us, and I have to say that none of us were disappointed, five of us stayed in three rooms above the Pub. The accommodation was excellent, clean and tidy, the room I was in had a single and a double bed, a fridge and a microwave, Tea and coffee making facilities , all the staff were first class, and the entertainment on both nights was brilliant . We had been advised beforehand that the pub no longer did breakfast or meals, we just jumped into a local taxi which the bar staff ordered for us and went into town . The weekend we had in Liverpool will stay long in our memories and May Duncan's played a big part in that, when we return to Liverpool there is only one place we will be staying .

On a cold and rainy February night my twin brother and I were walking down Mount Pleasant when we decided to drop into Riley's Bar ,been here before on quite a few occasions, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I like the look of this bar ,interior is cosy ,a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar,its just a really good bar to chill out in . We got a lager from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great bar we were in. Not my usual tipple, more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but I must say I really enjoyed this beer, golden, light and hoppy and bursting with taste, very easy to drink, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a delicious beer and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Riley's Bar is easy to locate along Mount Pleasant. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,11am till Midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this place, the food is perfect, staff are lovely here. There’s a very homely vibe to this place and it’s amazing. The staff are so friendly here too. The food is cooked perfectly and served hot straight after it’s been made. It’s the best cafe I have been too, If you’re in the Liverpool area I would highly recommend trying this place as it’s the best place to go. If I had more stars I would rate it higher.

Ordered signature vanilla ice cream and was sent soft scoop from aldi, possibly tesco? Ice blasts literally just ice, phone number unavailable so can even ring, won't be using again, try yums on Kensington much better

We were there at midday. The 3 girls working gave a really good service, despite being rushed of their feet as the boss was out. Top scran, great prices and superb Everton-related decor.

Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city, the Cavern Quarter, my twin brother and I decided to drop into Legends Sports Bar, been here before ,always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I like the look of this bar, interior is superb, exposed brickwork, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, its just a really good bar to unwind in. We ordered beers from Carling Brewery, served freezing cold, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My beer was really good, a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this bar, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Legends Sports Bar is easy to locate along Mathew Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11am till late. Well worth checking out if you're in the Cavern Quarter.

My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into McGreavey's Sports & Music Bar,been here before, always had a good time but latest visit was sorta borderline ok. The bar is ok, a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Williamson Square. We ordered beers, served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we chilled out and planned out the night ahead while sipping our beers. Staff in here are really good but think a bit of common sense would be good,a group of lads obviously the worst for wear creating a bit of nuisance of themselves, I know it's a hard thing to do but I think the staff should have refused service, give the barman his due,he had the patience of a saint but atmosphere in the bar on our visit wasn't brilliant, we drunk up and left after a pint, won't stop me going here again ,its still a great bar but latest visit wasn't that memorable.

This play cafe is looking very tired now. The toys are old and often broken or missing parts. I have never seen any rotation system or evidence of cleaning. The whole place feels grubby and a bit sticky. It’s a shame because the idea is great and the food is good but it’s just not been maintained or refreshed. Apparently they’re starting to open for adults events in the evening which I can’t see helping with the cleaning.

Pub and bar hopping down Smithdown Road my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into Dirty Nellies Pub ,a fine pub I've never had the chance to visit and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, great decor and furnishings including vintage beer enamels adorning the walls,a pool table, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and beautifully decked out for the Euro's plus plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, all in all its a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday evening, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a beer each, we chose Sharps Brewery " Atlantic pale ale " and these were served in pristine condition, we settled down and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, a big hit of hops, hints of toffee and a delicious aroma, a classic British pale ale, so refreshing on a hot and clammy evening. These are my type of pubs, great staff, superb beverages, good atmosphere and drinking with my twinny, what more could I ask for. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and for a first time visit to Dirty Nellies Pub we had a wonderful time. Dirty Nellies Pub is an easy pub to locate down Smithdown Road, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, 11am till Midnight. Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A great pub, if you're in the area most definitely well worth checking out especially if you enjoy a pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.
