We stayed at May Duncan's for two nights as we were meeting up with life long friends who recommended this Pub to us, and I have to say that none of us were disappointed, five of us stayed in three rooms above the Pub. The accommodation was excellent, clean and tidy, the room I was in had a single and a double bed, a fridge and a microwave, Tea and coffee making facilities , all the staff were first class, and the entertainment on both nights was brilliant . We had been advised beforehand that the pub no longer did breakfast or meals, we just jumped into a local taxi which the bar staff ordered for us and went into town . The weekend we had in Liverpool will stay long in our memories and May Duncan's played a big part in that, when we return to Liverpool there is only one place we will be staying .

Stayed at this usually lovely establishment once again and STARVED once again this is DIABOLICAL you can not register as a bed and breakfast and actually starve your guests I am usual to a slice of marmalade of toast at first etire when I woke up in the morning and not to mention my morning coffee it was a like a Nigerian with two Somalians running down the side I underestimated the power of the pack of sugar left for guests in the room it gave us an electric shock ti the system we had to place in a cup of hot water to get use out of it so I filled my back for my ma’ when I get home incase the lecky was gone when I got back. But am going back to ask the staff for a free pint of fresh orange with ice s we pod £70 for this room u fed the false pro-tenses of getting a bed and BREAKFAST and which is false I will be departing from this definition of a bed and breakfast and not returning I would prefer to stay at the YMCA as they don’t not false advise you get a bed and breakfast

Have stayed here loads of times over psst few years. 5 mins in a taxi from city centre and a 15 minute walk from Anfield . Clean rooms all with own bathroom sleeping from 2 to 4 people. I had my hen party here in September 2020 about 18 of us there most for the 1st time and almost all booking to go back again. Home from home 🏡. Live music and a bit of karaoke 🎤 as well

Had a fantastic stay at May Duncans rooms are so clean, it's quiet, nothing is too much trouble for the family owners. Close to Anfield I even got a quick dander in before taxi to airport. Location is great with bus route in city centre or few mins in a taxi. Added bonus there is a pub downstairs best of craic and everyone so welcoming Only for lockdown I would have been back stayed already but have a plan to stay asap Thanks May Duncans

Staying over at the Docks and needing a good breakfast, Ryde was exactly what was called for. Great breakfasts, tasty coffee, good prices, friendly staff and a cool, bike themed set up. I had the Ryde breakfast comprised off 2 sausages, 2 bacon toast, beans Black puddin, hash Browns and eggs(poached to golden perfection). All for 9.50. Everything on the plate was tasty. Unfortunately I had no cash and the machine wasn't set up for a tip but I'll be back next week and will be giving double. The food and staff are well worth it!

Lovely place to have an early morning breakfast. We went on a Saturday just after 9am and it was peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious and good value for money. Coffee was great too! Service was friendly and fast. Would definitely recommend! Small and Large breakfast were brilliant.

Met a friend and her children for lunch (half-term) and whilst the food was quick and pleasant, the waitress was really miserable and acted like she couldn’t care less. I understand people are tired especially in half term, but it wasn’t busy it was quite empty. She walked away half way through asking for more drinks and we had to shout after her and tried everything to avoid eye contact when asking for the bill. When she did respond, she was curt and offhand. Been many times and staff have always been pleasant but not sure I’d go there again after today.

Called in while my son was in The Royal hospital. Asked for the small breakfast but no mushrooms or tomatoes. The owner was very pleasant but after he served my coffee (I did ask for a latte but an ordinary coffee came) he carried on chatting with a bloke sat at a table. Then he went off to the kitchen. A few minutes later my breakfast came. It looked as though most of it had been deep fried. It came with mushrooms which I didn’t want, no baked beans. The egg made me heave, dirty brown white and a broken yolk undercooked centre floating in the white albumen. Bacon was a crisp and the sausage cut in half and deep fried. The toast came just buttered in the middle. Would never eat there again. I took pictures but can’t post them on here. Apart from the bloke sat at a table I was the only customer.

Beautiful, heritage-listed train station in the heart of Liverpool. No steps, no stairs. Very helpful helpers at every corner. Great, that's what I wished for in Germany. Eating and drinking is like at the train station.
