On a cold and rainy February night my twin brother and I were walking down Mount Pleasant when we decided to drop into Riley's Bar ,been here before on quite a few occasions, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I like the look of this bar ,interior is cosy ,a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar,its just a really good bar to chill out in . We got a lager from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great bar we were in. Not my usual tipple, more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but I must say I really enjoyed this beer, golden, light and hoppy and bursting with taste, very easy to drink, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a delicious beer and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Riley's Bar is easy to locate along Mount Pleasant. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,11am till Midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Riley's is a fantastic bar on Mount Pleasant that offers reasonably priced drink's and is as local as it gets.A great sports-bar with a sports themed interior with nice decor and furnishings and interesting fixtures relating to sport especially horse racing. We went here on our way to the Vine's pub and Riley's bar was really lively on our visit to here.We only stayed for one drink which was a Carling brewery lager which were 1st rate and where well priced. This is a superb local bar in a brilliant area and really easy to locate from Upper Newington Street bus stop its only a short walk.(This is my second review of Riley's Bar). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.00-00.00. Hours May Differ From Above. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Upper Newington Street Bus Stop-669.

Attended yesterday whilst on a stag do, two tables where reserved for £150. Nice that we got one free bottle of beer though! (Which was the only drink to be brought to the table). After 3 hours and many orders to the waitresses and through the app, no drinks and no food to be seen. But all paid for with proof in online receipts. 9 people without food or drink for 3 hours. The best the “doorman”, who was smoking cannabis throughout could say was, “it isn’t our faults + you can’t get a refund”. Do not attend this venue

Before the 3rd national lockdown descended my twin brother Stephen and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre and visit some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for ,while walking down Mount Pleasant we decided to drop into Riley's Bar, a great locals bar we always look forward to visiting. I love the look of this bar ,a traditional interior, nice decor and furnishings, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, all in all its a very cosy bar. We were here on a Wednesday night, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we were allocated a table were as part of the governments guildlines of having a substantial meal with alcohol we ordered a big bowl of " scouse " each and for our drinks we opted to have guinness. Guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, its was thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew, while sipping our guinness our meals arrived and what a treat. The " scouse " served in here was really good, for anyone not familiar with " scouse " it's a thick stew of meat, potatoes and onion, its the meal most associated with our city ,its the meal that gives us Liverpudlians our nickname of Scousers " . After our meal and 1st guinness we stayed for another two pints of guinness each before moving on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time . Riley's Bar is easy to locate along Mount Pleasant, a wonderful bar and when the 3rd and final lockdown is lifted most definitely well worth checking out.

We visited as a group of 3 on a busy lunchtime, we were lucky to get a table as it was so busy. It had a great buzz and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional- very tasty and lovely sized portions. I’d definitely love to come back next time I’m in Liverpool.

The one thing about Liverpool City Centre is there are many interesting old pub's and the Cornmarket is one of the oldest and it's one of the best.Located on Old Ropery'the Cornmarket has a fantastic interior with an old world look and feel. The pub dates from the 18th century and is full of character. The interior to this historic pub has many interesting fixture's and lot's of original feature's.There's wood panelling that was taken from a clipper ship that was called the Reina Del Pacifico and excellent seating options. If you enter from Moor street this pub looks completely different as up to the 1960s this was the Bulls Head pub. This pub was taken over by the Cornmarket and has thrived as a pub since then.We have been visiting this pub for many years and it's just as good as it's ever been. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like places as the atmosphere is better when pubs are busy. When we visited we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. Its an excellent old world pub in a fantastic area of the city centre and it's a pub that's well worth going to.(This is my fourth review of the Cornmarket). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.30-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. James Street Train Station Bus Stop-10A-10Q-18-26-N1. Train Station. James Street Train Station.

Nice cup of coffee thanks! Greeted by Holly who was chatty and took my order with advice when asked for (type of milk used, how many shots). Not a regular at Starbucks but would return. Holly wished me a happy holiday too! This after the the smoothest transit trough the airport ever. Lots to like today at Liverpool JL airport.

Lovely surroundings, comfy sofas, very tasty local gins, and a tasting plate of 3 small beers. Perfect, couldn't wish for better.
