Disappointed all round, tables was sticky, breakfast isn't anything special, hardly anything to it for how much you spend on it. Service took ages. Always wanted to try this place, never again 😪

Hosts lilly and aimee were so attentive and really good wait on staff. The only reason for the 4 stars is we were seated facing carvery so it was hot and we werent allowed to open the doors but they did open the windows but it was still really hot. But nothing to do with the service, it was just hot for 23 of us celebrating my birthday. All in all we love the service and the kids love the outdoor play area

Always eat here when in Liverpool. Staff are fab, foods great. Good prices. Good for disabled people of all areas.

Service was good but not enough staff.But staff done a great job and very pleasant. Olivia is always very helpful and pleasant Young work experience lad was hard working and chatty when spoken too

Lovely friendly staff. I have food allergies and the staff are really helpful and understanding. Especially Olivia and the chef, as they always go above and beyond to help with my dietary requirements.

Tony was especially helpful and extremely efficient , made the trip !

Cool, but very expensive compared to other places

Very nice place to eat, bussy but we gat a table every night, and did not have long to wait for our food. The food itself is just above average, but on the whole good value for money

Food was cold Flys was everywhere spent all my time flapping them away Don't think I will be visiting again really disappointed.

Went there yesterday it was awful waited ages for the food & it’s when it finally came it was cold and everything we ordered was overcooked don’t know whether it was a one off but I would visit here again

Over priced not good food, I ordered a spicy burger no crispy bacon or crispy onions very small potion won't be going again

I got the burger it was like cardboard it was over cooked It wasn't a fresh burger it looked like it was a frozen one ot had no taste I didn't eat it. I only eat meat once a week as a treat and it very disappointing

All meals ordered for our party of 10 were hot, tasty and quick to be brought out. One child order was slightly wrong, but this was rectified straight away. The serving staff were lovely & no request was too much trouble for them. Very enjoyable family meal.

Ordered a mix grill, steak was over cooked no steak knife gammon was burnt chicken was like rubber inedible. Got told it was good food it's a shame it turned out inedible food.

Great atmosphere - good place to go and relax with kids. Food was wonderful, great meat, had mixed grill and carvery. Nice friendly staff, 10/10 (mushrooms on carvery were dry)

Always a great experience coming to VL, staff are very welcoming. Had to wait a while b4 being seated, bit it was quite busy. Got a table by a quiz screen, but moved when 1 became available nearer to the quiz. Food was lovely. Quiz was brilliant, as always.

Went here Saturday evening, drinks expensive and place clean and tidy enough. There’s a member of staff here though (beard and glasses), he’s worked here for years, never a smile or welcoming body language. There’s been times we’ve gone to eat only to be told by him that there no availability even though there were empty tables. And other members of staff have got us a table. His communication could be so much better too. And at the opposite spectrum of that there’s a great barman there, again, worked there for years, has dark curly hair. He’s always smiling away, seems really happy in his job no matter when I’ve been in, will always be polite and ask things like if there’s anything else he can get you or do for you.

Went for a family meal tonight 14/04/25. Staff were very welcoming, we were served by Tony who was lovely young man, had the biggest smile on his face, and was happy to ask questions we needed answering. Thanks Tony! We will be back.

Came on a Sunday for some food with the family, had issues ordering via mobile (was told by bald Phil to do when he sat us down), it took the money but the order didn’t go through, was then told there’s nothing they can do and ‘there’s a lot of other people in here and you’re the only one with issues’, whilst walking away from me instead of standing and talking to me like an adult human being, the manager Phil needs to sort himself out don’t know if he was having a bad day or is generally just a miserable man (might be because he’s bald), probably wouldn’t go again, food isn’t even that good in there, just go 10 mins up to road to the copper pot where the staff arnt moody farts when you ask them a question

Very busy evening but staff were excellent, food quickly delivered and hot and tasty - we were a table of 13 but where dealt with efficiently and staff really engaging- only issue was ordering on the app as WiFi was not working well - but resolved by staff by ordering at the bar

Service from Tony was amazing. He is a whizz on the till! Food was good. However the app was Still awful. I ordered 5 meals and drinks but it wasn't updating when I added them and it took about 45 mins to give up and go to the till. Do not use the app!

The food was awful and doesnt reflect the prices they charge!

Shocking experience. Ignored at bar multiple times trying to place order, served other customers before me. They had run out of lots of items. Staff were seen drinking and messing about at the end of the shift whilst customers were trying to enjoy a drink.

Walked in to be met with a "Please wait here to be served sign", waited for approx 5 mins, wasn't even greeted. Multiple staff members walked past, looked at us, no acknowledgement whatsoever. Left to go somewhere else. Awful service, awful first impression. Will not be coming back here.

The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the food tastes so good, the carvery is always well stocked with vegetables and potatoes, my only gripe would be you don't get alot of meat even when you pay extra for the large carvery.

Had a table booked for 7.30 pm was told at 8pm the kitchen was closed and could not order food, even though they already took our order, absolute joke.

We come here all the time with my family and it is absolutely brilliant! Phil and his team are amazing and Tony is always so friendly when taking our order. Everyone is friendly and polite and the food is lovely. Whenever we look at going for a meal we always love coming back here.

Arrived at the Viking’s landing fresh from the Roman sea could smell scouse in the air, we had not booked a table but fortunately for us the experienced table manager, did some juggling and managed to squeeze us in with an hours slot to have some lunch didn’t get the ladies name but she will ever be in my memory for making me not miss lunch. On to the food as it was a Sunday the only thing on the wife’s brain was meat meat and more meat with veggies obviously, the walk to the carvery from any seat in the establishment is about 17 steps so still plenty energy left in the tank to destroy the small carvery (big) plate overall the meat was juicy just how I like it a solid 7/10 I on the other hand went for 2 starter dishes as my plan really wasn’t to eat it was to down as many pints as possible while letting the wife think I was thinking of her and taking her for food overall starters mediocre 6/10 onto the star of the show…… the server who’s named Tony well their isn’t enough complimentary words in the dictionary to describe Tony he was helpful, kind, and an all round very nice lad who made our experience at the vikings landing a 10/10 thanks again Tony god bless

Nice food for a chain. The food was much better than a certain other grill chain! Plenty of parking and disabled facilities. Comfortable seating , and clean. Food prices were ok. Weekday food offers are on the menu.

Just had roast dinner and I enjoyed everything on my plate hangover fed now home to recover Tony was amazing

We got seated at a table and ordered via the app. Our food arrived basic at best. Macaroni was bland but covered in mature cheddar, tikka was bland. Children's chicken dippers came burnt to a crisp, and the wrong side. I said it was wrong as was told I must have ordered incorrectly! we returned them to the apologies of the waiter and he returned with less burnt ones and half a side (carrot sticks no cucumber) , soaked in grease. Needless to say they were left uneaten. We were then hurried off our table for a reserved guest even though we were obviously finishing our drinks and 2 mins away from departing. I'm full, but mainly with disappointment.

Great venue, great for families and Tony in particular is fantastic!

The beef was tender and well cooked. Potatoes really hot and crispy. Veg just right. Rocky Road Sundae was fantastic. Wine really good. Nice Iub. Great atmosphere and superbly friendly staff. Thank you.

Table booked was ready early for us. Was really busy but the staff serving at the bar were really quick and polite. When ordering food they confirmed the order vsck for accuracy. Staff serving food were amazing. So friendly and I had made a mistake on one of the meals, before serving they again came out to confirm, which made sure I could change the side on one dish, the food was piping hot and we really didn't have to wait long even though there were 8 of us. I had booked and asked for a specific area which was accommodated. Overall great experience and will be returning.

Staff more friendly at Vikings than at the Copperpot which we have been going along over the last 2 years, but the only thing that let's the Vikings down is that our meals cost £1 more than at the Copperpot and the only Lager is Carlsberg (very gassy) whereas the Copperpot do Fosters as on the Menu.

Lovely place to go and meet up with friends for different occasions. I recently went with my sister for a bite to eat and had a bottle of white wine with a dash of lemonade to drink. Previous to this I have visited with both my Mum and Sister on other nights during last year. Tonight in March I went with my Mum and Sister for the 30% off main meals and mum treated us, also had a dark mint chocolate tart with vanilla ice-cream off Mum too. Finished off with my glass of raspberry and pear J20 Spritzer with ice and a slice of orange.

Called in for tea before the pictures. Lovely food. Service was great. Tony behind the bar was very helpful and super quick.

Lovely staff, Jamie found us a table even though they was so busy, after a busy shift in the hospital food was needed, chloe and bri lovely girls service with a smile so busy in there tonight but food and drinks brought to table fast.

Always an enjoyable night at VL, love the quiz, great atmosphere, great food, great staff. A bit of a problem with the till when paying at the end of the night, but Jamie dealt with it pretty well, using humour.

Staff very friendly, food is excellent and very good value . Olivia is really nice and very helpful but all the staff are nice .
