A special thanks to Vicky and Olivia for looking after my group of over 60's ladies. A wonderful afternoon was had by all. Looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent from the booking process, right the way through to finishing our meal. Easy to book, and to order food from the website on mobile phone. Great carvery, and excellent value for money, and lovely friendly staff.

Always a great experience coming to VL, staff are very welcoming. Had to wait a while b4 being seated, bit it was quite busy. Got a table by a quiz screen, but moved when 1 became available nearer to the quiz. Food was lovely. Quiz was brilliant, as always.

Olivia B, Charlotte, Tayla and Josh couldn’t do enough to make me and my children feel well looked after and pampered, just what I needed after a long day of knitting!

Very nice place to eat, bussy but we gat a table every night, and did not have long to wait for our food. The food itself is just above average, but on the whole good value for money

Nice food for a chain. The food was much better than a certain other grill chain! Plenty of parking and disabled facilities. Comfortable seating , and clean. Food prices were ok. Weekday food offers are on the menu.

Just had roast dinner and I enjoyed everything on my plate hangover fed now home to recover Tony was amazing

Arrived at the Viking’s landing fresh from the Roman sea could smell scouse in the air, we had not booked a table but fortunately for us the experienced table manager, did some juggling and managed to squeeze us in with an hours slot to have some lunch didn’t get the ladies name but she will ever be in my memory for making me not miss lunch. On to the food as it was a Sunday the only thing on the wife’s brain was meat meat and more meat with veggies obviously, the walk to the carvery from any seat in the establishment is about 17 steps so still plenty energy left in the tank to destroy the small carvery (big) plate overall the meat was juicy just how I like it a solid 7/10 I on the other hand went for 2 starter dishes as my plan really wasn’t to eat it was to down as many pints as possible while letting the wife think I was thinking of her and taking her for food overall starters mediocre 6/10 onto the star of the show…… the server who’s named Tony well their isn’t enough complimentary words in the dictionary to describe Tony he was helpful, kind, and an all round very nice lad who made our experience at the vikings landing a 10/10 thanks again Tony god bless

We got seated at a table and ordered via the app. Our food arrived basic at best. Macaroni was bland but covered in mature cheddar, tikka was bland. Children's chicken dippers came burnt to a crisp, and the wrong side. I said it was wrong as was told I must have ordered incorrectly! we returned them to the apologies of the waiter and he returned with less burnt ones and half a side (carrot sticks no cucumber) , soaked in grease. Needless to say they were left uneaten. We were then hurried off our table for a reserved guest even though we were obviously finishing our drinks and 2 mins away from departing. I'm full, but mainly with disappointment.

Service is always excellent and food is lovely. Connor and Tom always go above and beyond for us each time we visit and we feel so at home when we come. Thank you all the staff 🙂

Staff more friendly at Vikings than at the Copperpot which we have been going along over the last 2 years, but the only thing that let's the Vikings down is that our meals cost £1 more than at the Copperpot and the only Lager is Carlsberg (very gassy) whereas the Copperpot do Fosters as on the Menu.

Table booked was ready early for us. Was really busy but the staff serving at the bar were really quick and polite. When ordering food they confirmed the order vsck for accuracy. Staff serving food were amazing. So friendly and I had made a mistake on one of the meals, before serving they again came out to confirm, which made sure I could change the side on one dish, the food was piping hot and we really didn't have to wait long even though there were 8 of us. I had booked and asked for a specific area which was accommodated. Overall great experience and will be returning.

Food not up to much wouldn't recommend

Lovely place to go and meet up with friends for different occasions. I recently went with my sister for a bite to eat and had a bottle of white wine with a dash of lemonade to drink. Previous to this I have visited with both my Mum and Sister on other nights during last year. Tonight in March I went with my Mum and Sister for the 30% off main meals and mum treated us, also had a dark mint chocolate tart with vanilla ice-cream off Mum too. Finished off with my glass of raspberry and pear J20 Spritzer with ice and a slice of orange.

Called in for tea before the pictures. Lovely food. Service was great. Tony behind the bar was very helpful and super quick.

Great service from Connor on the bar. The carvery and mix grill wear spot on, but the cake, I'd come back just for the cake 🙂

Always an enjoyable night at VL, love the quiz, great atmosphere, great food, great staff. A bit of a problem with the till when paying at the end of the night, but Jamie dealt with it pretty well, using humour.

Lovely staff, Jamie found us a table even though they was so busy, after a busy shift in the hospital food was needed, chloe and bri lovely girls service with a smile so busy in there tonight but food and drinks brought to table fast.

Staff very friendly, food is excellent and very good value . Olivia is really nice and very helpful but all the staff are nice .

The staff make this place, all the staff are lovely, but Tony especially is so friendly and helpful, he can't do enough for you. Food was great, simple meals done really well is what we go for.

Connor was brillaint as was Liv B, nothing was to much trouble.

Paid extra for large dinners, normally get a medium and there was no difference no extra meat was added.

From the warm welcome to the excellent carvery - meat and veg - and the sunny and cheerfully ambience of the place, we were absolutely delighted to celebrate St Patrick’s day.

We have visited this pub a few times and never had a bad meal always clean and spotless and staff friendly and welcoming.

We had my Uncles Wake here. Phil was fantastic from the initial enquiry, providing detailed information and following up the booking. Olivia was so lovely when we arrived, she was so empathetic to the fact it was a gathering of people for a wake, and the service and food was second to none. Bar staff were so polite too. Thank you Vikings Landing! Highly recommended.

We got two small roasts 2 cokes an chips and it came to nearly £50 absolutely scandalous and got about 5 chips, charging £4 for coke aswell is ridiculous

A lovely family pub with friendly staff and very reasonable prices.

To be honest carvery was not hot told the young lady who was behind bar ,and she said ill tell the chef , never asked did we want to go back up for a hotter meal or something else , been loads of time before but this was my 1st time having the carvery ,I had a 30% discount that ran out on the 31st ,and the young man said it wasn't coming up on the till ,so the other must have ran out ,but I questioned the young man and said ,it runs out on the 31st and it was still the 31st till midnight ,but got no explanation at all ,I was very disappointed with my visit this time

Come in for a meal yesterday the food was lovely and my server Tayla was very friendly helpful and the bar staff Jamie was very kind an polite will be coming again soon

The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the food tastes so good, the carvery is always well stocked with vegetables and potatoes, my only gripe would be you don't get alot of meat even when you pay extra for the large carvery.

Outstanding service and quality of food don’t go anywhere else now just like home cooked food from roasts lasagne steaks and fish all superb .

Good food , friendly friendly staff and dog friendly

The service from Phil and his team was excellent. Both my friend and I are vegetarians. There was a decent choice but my friend is vegan and dosnt eat qourn she's not a fan of curry either. I wonder if you could offer a tomato pasta dish and maybe add bread option to the sides menu and offer jacket potatos on sundays also just a thought. But overall excellent.

I visited for lunch with a friend and was really happy with the food freshness, staff politeness and cleanliness of the pub. The steak salad was so nice. I will definitely be back. The toilets were clean and smelt hygienic. Well done to the management and staff.

We spend a lot of time at the Vikings, so this year we went as a family for Christmas dinner. It was an absolute brilliant day, very relaxed, Phil and the team were so attentive and the food was delicious. It was such a good day we are going to go again next year. Thank you for making it such a memorable day.

Christmas Day at the Vikings Landing is always a fabulous experience. Phil and his staff always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cannot do enough for you. Compliments to the chefs for their Christmas Menu food was excellent , as always. Atmosphere was great. Massive thank you to Phil and his team for another great Christmas.

Our experience at viking landing: Christmas day!! 25/12/24 we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table the first thing we noticed was the table cloth was paper and covered in grease stains (it hadn't been changed at all from the previous guests) my partner ordered two beers but only got one beer, I went to the barman to ask where the second beer was I was lied to that we ordered one beer which cost £11? I asked barman said YES. What I said!! my partner checked the price and went to the same barman himself who knew he had made a mistake and immediately gave him a second beer which cost £5.50.The Christmas roast was served buffet style the chefs were very stingy with the meat on my partner's plate you couldn't even see three pieces of meat. After meal he was still hungry. I ask waiter for toothpick and she brought me few in her hand no even box or napkins.Poor service not worth £75 pp on christmas day!! It was clear that they were going for quantity, not quality.There was no atmosphere, taste or aesthetics. Never again bad experience.

First time for christmas dinner and it was brilliant food was amazing as where all the staff

Visited on Christmas Day 2024 and cannot fault our experience at all. The food was exceptional from the starter to the dessert. I would say that the pate was the nicest I have ever had and the Cavery main was so well cooked, meats all tasty and tender and the roasties and veg were perfect. The other two in our party enjoyed their choices as much as I did. As for the staff they could not have been more welcoming and even though they were working their socks off with the constant turnover of tables, nothing was too much trouble. Also considering how many people were there the place was spotless! Highly recommended!

Staff lovely went in with granddaughter I wasn't eating just had coffee but granddaughter had kids meal really made a fuss of her which was nice Sarah are server was lovely.

There was alive singer on, the music was too loud, I and my guest struggled to hear each other. The food was decent, served quickly and professionally.

Really good entertainment and food however not happy that we were seated in the bar area right by the open door. It was also too close to singer so couldnt talk amongst ourselves. We all enjoyed the dancing and singing once food was eaten

I’ve been to two Christmas afternoon events with entertainment Motown afternoon 7th December, I was unaware there was a set menu, purely my error as I hadn’t read the email properly but the Carvery was not to my taste. The General Manager Phil was extremely accommodating, arranging for me to have Hake plus Potatoes & Vegetables from the Carvery. My party of 4 really enjoyed the afternoon, Food, Service and Entertainment was excellent. On 14th December I’d arranged for 6 people to attend the 60’s afternoon party, again food, service and entertainment were excellent but 2 people felt it lacked the atmosphere of a Christmas Party, they were uncomfortable that members of the general public were coming in and out to dine although they were guided to a different area. They had expected it to be be in a separate room and all revellers celebrating Christmas. I understand that due to Economic circumstances in the Lockdown followed by the cost of living crisis, the Hospitality sector has suffered more than most, personally, I understand the reason for maximising potential profit but although they enjoyed the afternoon, it was not what they expected.

The staff were great but the food wasn't particularly special I've been for a carvery before here and in the past the standards were much better but not a bad experience overall.

The staff are welcoming, friendly and the food is great. The atmosphere is calm. Its everything you could want in your local. We love coming and its our place of choice for a family meal.

Can't fault the carvery or puddings. Friendly atmosphere and fabulous hardworking staff.

Everything went smoothly...easy booking system, we had a large group (20). All the pre-orders were correct and all food cooked well, hot and served in good time. Can't fault the service. Will be definitely book again.

The Beef was very dry, however everything else was fine. Also, the mash potato was very creamy. 5 stars.

Excellent service it was very busy, however the staff never looked stressed. Food was fast fresh and piping hot. The staff were extremely attentive, considering how busy they were. They are obviously a great team, and we had a great time.

Our Tai chi group visit here each year for the Christmas party afternoon. This year with the Motown singer who had a fab voice and encouraged our group to get up and dance, which we did with enthusiasm. .What an incredible time we had. Atmosphere, amazing staff, and incredible food. Congratulations to the chef/chefs. The carvery was excellent! I've never tasted a better Christmas pudding. All in all I couldn't fault a thing.

Normal boozer but does serve food and has a carvery

We were politely welcomed. We were seated by the carvery and it looked very good, a lot better than last time. The service was excellent, as usual, and they were very careful regarding my dietary requirements. We were all very pleased with our drinks, meal and the service we received. Thank you very much.

Staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make the ultimate dining experience. Low prices make dining affordable while providing good quality food cooked to perfection. From entering to leaving myself and my family enjoy dining here.

We sat at the large table ,are server's were Tony and Luke's they were very professional and made us feel wellcome.as it was two family's dining we paid separately if we needed any information are server's were always there to help .we had carvery.one was a veggie .I was from the Wirral visiting.will come again due to the staff and food .and live music .the manerger was all so helpful as one of the little girls was crying because the ma hine froze after putting her pound in .but all sorted .5* thank you staff

Staff were really friendly, but food was massively underwhelming. Poor quality and very overpriced. Over cooked starter couldn't get my fork through it had to pick at it with my fingers, main course was OK. Very expensive for what we had
