This place was fairly close to my hotel, so I thought I would try for breakfast. Nice place with a big menu. I had the scrambled eggs which were delicious.

The entrance to this café is located down some external stairs from street level. It would be easy to pass it by and not realise it was open. It has a pleasant spacious interior with friendly staff and two flat whites cost £7.

Tried the honeydew green tea on the waitress' recommendation and it was lovely. Delicious brunch, very friendly staff. Very enjoyable experience.

Don’t go this place if your not from Kirkdale they serve all there friends before customers terrible service gone down drain since smiths took over

Lively little Sunday brunch. Perfect fry up. Blink and you'll miss this place as its tucked away. Fresh food, good coffee, very clean toilets. Really well decorated and friendly staff. Only thing I didnt like is that they took away my wife's plate as she was finished first but I was still eating... ettiquite is that you wait for the entire table to finish before removing any empty plates.

Had breakfast here every day for 4 days. Staff were all lovely and the best coffee I’d had all week was in here. Food was good quality, nicely presented and very tasty.

What a great hidden gem it’s downstairs in Dale Street. Great food selection and all our order was really tasty and everything tasted really fresh. The staff were amazing and they have the best coffee. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited here for the first time the other day and have to say it was pretty average. I ordered the full works breakfast which was listed as being £12 on the menu yet they charged me £14 when it came to paying. I questioned the waitress about this and she confirmed that the breakfast was £14 so this is something that needs to be amended on the menu. Not acceptable really!

Amazing food, best brunch I’ve had in a long time. Amazing coffee and great service. Was empty when we went in, so was served really fast. Wish more people knew about this place as was a recommendation to me. 100% will be coming again.

I sat outback. For some reason the sun was out in Liverpool. I know Baby E can't control the sun, but it was glorious. Then I ordered Hot Sauce Holly and the Crispy Pig and it was AMAZING! Has to be one of the top 10 breakfasts I have ever had. Eggs poached perfectly. Just the right amount of spice.

I cannot stress enough the degree of hospitality I received. Wandered in off the street completely jetlagged and trainbrained but the owners were so kind and entertained my inane touristy questions so graciously. My eggs benny were delicious and I will certainly be visiting again the next time I’m on this side of the Atlantic.

Beautiful brunch, I have had breakfast the three days I have been in Liverpool, I loved it, the nice and central place. I recommend it, especially I liked the dish "toast with aquacate, eggs, feta cheese and roquito popper (Smashed Avo) I highly recommend this site.

Very good place for breakfast and brunch . I have been here many times and never ever been disappointed. Today I ate outside as the weather was nice . I ordered the hot holly brunch and two hazelnut lattes . They were very good . I would recommend the hot sauce holly brunch as it tasted amazing . The service was good as always .if your ever in Liverpool, give this place a visit ,everything is homemade and very welcoming . Will be back to visit soon . Lisa (Wigan )

I was very disappointed in my visit to Baby E Coffee and Deli. I'm not a fan of eggs or sourdough bread so I could either choose to have something left off a menu meal or make my own. I chose brown toast, bacon and mushrooms . When the toast came there was no butter. I asked for butter to be told there wasn't any. Do you normally serve your toast without any butter even available? The mushrooms, I'm not sure what they were cooked in/with but the flavour was not to my liking at all. I ended up leaving 1 1/2 pieces of toast and 1 1/2 mushrooms. The only thing I could eat all of was the bacon. The saving grace was that the coffee was very good indeed, having had 3 cups. But overall very disappointed.

Good food, nice coffee but slow service

Visited for bruch/breakfast, waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drinks order, it would have probably been longer if we hadnt of asked. Ordered our food which didnt show after an hour, we had to cancel it and leave. No apology or communication by staff, also a poor attitude and very dismissive. Will not be returning!

Considering how busy and hot it was today, all our food came out perfect and prompt. Would defo return!

Unfortunately we never got to try the food as we waited 45 minutes and it still hadn't arrived; we had to cancel the order.

So good I'm writing this review whilst still here. Without doubt the best non full English breakfast I've ever had... Bangers and hash is just simply amazing. The black pudding is to die for, full of flavour. My partner had the avo on toast and that looked impressive and it must have been good as she was quiet throughout the eating of it. Great coffee, good vibes and good staff. What more do you need.

What an amazing place we held a 21st party at Baby E and from the booking to the actual day Janine the owner was in contact throughout making sure we was happy with everything, the staff serving drinks where all lovely girls especially Pam who couldn’t do enough. Everyone enjoyed themselves what a fantastic time we all enjoyed ourselves! Highly recommended for private functions, thank you girls xx

Decided to go to Baby E after hearing great things. When we walked in, we were told there was a wait of 45 minutes for food which was fine, we were happy to wait. 15 minutes passed and no one had come to our table to ask if we wanted a drink. Despite the place being really busy, the staff kept on seating people down without seeing to the customers who were already sat down waiting to order. We were very frustrated as were the tables next to us as there was just no communication and staff looked clueless. (Mostly very young staff 18-21 year olds.) After 20 minutes, we decided to get up and leave. Very disappointed with baby E and will not be returning. Staff need better training and to be told to not sit people down without having served even a drink to people already sat down.

I came here with my wife and two young kids and I have to write a review of the place because I was so impressed. First off, we were struggling to find a place to have brek on a Sunday morning and we chanced across the Baby E. It was busy and we were told there would be a half hour wait on food, but we sat down anyway. The food was certainly worth the wait. Quite honestly the best breakfast I've had in a long time - I had the full english, my wife had the full veggie and my kids had the nutella pancakes. Everything was such good quality and cooked beautifully. I had to thank the chefs as we left because they were doing such a good job. The waitresses were really attentive and my kids had a great time. This is a great new find, and trust me I am fussy about food. I'll be back soon.

Very friendly welcoming staff, however my experience, we where told 30 minute wait for food but more like 50 minutes which was unfortunate as it was busy but not that busy when ordering a breakfast.

A pleasant family cafe, not far from the embankment. It was a weekend, there was a small queue, but 10-15 minutes and everyone was seated. The waiters quickly took the order. The cuisine is delicious and is prepared immediately and not heated up - a big plus🫶🏻, so of course it takes a little longer waiting time, but we were warned. The dishes are tasty, the portions are large enough, the dishes and presentation are good. We ordered pancakes, a sandwich with salmon and pita bread with mushrooms.

Waited 40 minutes to even be asked if we wanted any drinks. Wasn’t busy at all…food then took another 40 minutes to come out! When it came, it was piping hot and really nice but the wait was ridiculous. We were sat outside in the sun and seemed to just get forgotten about. No apology for wait either which was a shame as the food was really nice.

A nice chill cafe, breakfast was great and portions were large. Everything was well seasoned to make it standout to other places. Staff are friendly and the general atmosphere is calm and comforting

Beautiful place in Dale Street for brunch or a coffee. I had the vegan breakfast which was DIVINE, and their coffee is high quality. Good value for money and the service was quick and friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. I also got extra avocado on the house. Thank you :)

Hubby had full English and being in construction, he's had his fare share of full English breakfasts, some good some bloody awful. He absolutely loved it and said its by far the best he had ever had. I had the pancakes with bacon and maple. Usually you don't get enough maple syrup but you certainly got a good amount. Plate was full with a decent amount, but not too much. Its just seemed to be the perfect amount for the pancakes to soak up. Bacon was done nice a crispy and wasn't overly salty, but salty enough to counteract the sweetness of the pancakes and maple. Also the pancakes were definitely homemade which makes a refreshing change. The latte hubby had was nice and the right temperature, not cold but not so hot it takes the skin off your gullet when he drank it. My tea was decent quality too, and at last a place that serves up tea you can get a proper colour from. All in all its by far the best breakfast either of us have had in many a year, if not the best ever.

As a construction worker I have had breakfasts all over the country and I can honestly say this is by far the best breakfast I have ever had

I’m not exaggerating when I say the worst experience of my life. Nearly an hour and a half wait for a mediocre breakfast. Waited almost 25 minutes to even get a drinks order. I’ve never witnessed a shambles like it in my life. Other people around us were also experiencing similar to us and we all spoke about how much of a joke this place is. Got to the point I was so hungry I felt sick and by the time the food came out the hunger had passed. Never be back and honestly can’t recommend at all

Great venue for breakfast or brunch in Liverpool's busy Dale Street. It's in a light and airy basement, part of a lovely old building mostly setup as office space, so keep your eyes peeled and you will be rewarded. The coffee is fantastic and the "Works" breakfast is absolutely superb, everything freshly prepared with quality ingrediants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Top marks!

Sweet little spot for brunch. Eric our concierge from The Hard Days Night Hotel recommended we visit and so happy we did. Food was delicious, big portions and nicely priced. Must visit!

This place is a hidden gem! Lovely family owned independent business, serving freshly made food and drinks at great prices. Chicken wrap and coffee both top quality as was the chat with the proprietor! I’ll definitely be back soon!

Came here with my daughter and had a great meal. Highchairs were provided and the service was very good. You can tell they’re a bit understaffed by having to run around so much but every member of staff we spoke to was super helpful. Ordered a full english breakfast with some sides and it came in about 10 mins, even with it being quite busy. No designated kids menu but you can easily build a meal for a child through the sides menu.

Staff are unbelievably lovely! Food is great and the vibe is nice and chill. The pancakes are to die for!!! Lovely little place!

Oh wow! Our friends visited for lunch the day before and booked us in for breakfast the next day and - oh wow, it was excellent. They seated 9 of us and the food came out quickly and freshly cooked. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and will be back next time we visit. Thank you.

Overpriced takeaway drinks in the tiniest cups. Won't be visiting again.

The menu looked nice and we were excited to try it, however we never had our order taken after being seated. Someone initially came over to take a drinks order and we asked if we could see the drinks menu and then have our order taken in a few minutes. After 15/20 minutes of waiting, during which staff members walked past us and ignored us over 10 times, we decided to leave as we were getting hungry and weren't even getting our drinks order taken. Really disappointed as this seemed like a nice place.

Lovely food and atmosphere here. Staff are amazing and very well trained. We came on a busy Saturday so there was a wait but we didn’t mind as the food was lovely and a good portion. A man who I assume was the owner (on his day off maybe?) was a great help and even offered us a complimentary coffee for the wait (which wasn’t even that long!). We will definitely be back for breakfast and I recommend to everyone.

Went here for a late breakfast with my friend. It has two entrances and the backside entrance is not quite visible but we managed to find it haha. Anyway, we ordered from their breakfast menu a Full English meal, one no meat brekkie, caramel latte, flat white and cortado. The food and coffee was amazing. We loved the breakfast, it was prepared and plated. However, we found the service quite slow, we did not get our coffees for like 20mins and had to ask for water three times. The place seemed a bit understaffed which was ultimately affecting the quality of service. All in all the place is amazing for breakfast, the prices are pretty reasonable and the taste is top notch. Also, the tastes of the coffees were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice cosy reasonable breakfast cafe.

Our first visit to Baby E - but it won't be our last. Situated in the heart of Liverpool's business quarter, on Dale Street, you could easily stroll past Baby-E, but for the board on the pavement. Please don't! A New York Deli style vibe, the food is excellent, as is the service and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. I went for my usual Eggs Benedict, served with mustard glazed ham, with orange juice and coffee, which set me up perfectly for a day's Christmas shopping. My wife went for a scrambled egg and bacon bagel creation which she loved. Special mention for the quality of the coffee. All in all, about the best breakfast/brunch in town. I'll be back.

I went in for a lovely eggs Benedict type breakfast and I enjoyed it. There's a nice atmosphere in the basement venue and the service was good. The only issue I had was finding the place though, I walked up and down Dale St a few times before I entered the building.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon to get some brunch. Waited for quite a while to be seated but this was not an issue because it was quite busy, however once we were seated a group of 6 came in and we were told that we would be moved again to a smaller table once some other customers were finished. So we ended up not even ordering until at least a half an hour after arrival. As I’m a coeliac I chose this place for its gluten free options, and when I ordered I asked for a gluten free eggs Benedict but the waitress took no notice of the gluten free request until the third time I mentioned it, and if I had not noticed the first time that she did not write gluten free down for the order then I would have been served regular toast. On top of this, they had no gluten free bread in stock so I had to have potatoes. We waited for food for probably about an hour and when it came out the waitress apologised for the lack of Hollandaise sauce and told me that I had been given a side of beans as compensation. However when I ordered I also asked for smoked salmon which was not present. Also, the food was cold. So my salmon eggs Benedict ended up being a few eggs with some potatoes and beans with a little bit of hollandaise. The staff were obviously aware that their service was unsatisfactory and they apologised to us for this, offering us free drinks at first which they then rescinded instead giving us a 20% discount. While this was appreciated, this only really amounted to something like £2 or £3 off the total. The staff did seem quite friendly and apologetic so I think we were just unlucky with things going wrong.

Love it here! Second time today and did not disappoint! The food is incredible and piping hot when served. Great quality and good portion size, especially for the price, its very reasonable. Really good service and atmosphere here, warm and welcoming. 10/10 best place in town for breakfast and coffee. Didn't take the best picture of the breakfast Burrito but it was DIVINE!

At first it was a nice vibe to the place. Took them 25 mins to come with two teas one ice coffee and an orange juice. We are now currently waiting another 40 mins for our food to come. This man came in after us got his food and drink and has now left the place, mind you we were here 20 mins with our order in before he came in!!!! Not worth it.

Had a fantastic breakfast here sourdough toast, field mushrooms, 2 poached eggs and truffle hollandaise. Absolutely delicious 10/10 ! Cortado was so good too. Very impressed and highly recommended place.

Delicious breakfast and best coffee I've ever tasted. Staff were lovely, we had quite a wait but were prewarned and they brought us iced water and offered coffee refills. Breakfast definitely worth the wait.

I live in the apartments next to this place. I am not happy with the noise level from this business between Friday-Sunday as they tend to host parties outside of their opening hours stated on Google till very late. I struggle to settle my baby when they have loud music playing on for hours. Their customers are even louder. The fact they have no regard for neighbouring people is appalling.

Play really loud music and aren’t mindful of the neighbouring apartments. Staff are very rude. Sometimes I can’t get any sleep at night because it’s so loud. Say they close at 3pm Sat and Sunday but they’re open till late. Will be informing tax services to investigate this company. Please avoid going here as funding these inconsiderate people wouldn’t do anyone any good
