Match day pub (parking £10, be eary) for Liverpool fans. Ten minutes walk to the ground. Always loads of friendly, well-dressed, and drilled staff. The menu is very good quality and value. How the kitchen copes I don't know know but never let us down. Plenty of screens if you can't make the game.

Great place great food go most Sundays for a roast lovely staff also we even booked Christmas dinner there and it was fantastic will be booking again this year they even had Santa for the kids had a great afternoon it was lovely 🥰

If you are staying near Anfield. There's not much choices for food. Mainly pubs for drinks. Found this place a little further down the road from Anfield but it has a great pub atmosphere for food, drinks and to catch-up on EPL games. Expect it to be crowded on game days. The food served is delightfully fast.

Booked a last minute meal here and after a bit of confusion from google maps we found the place and had an amazing meal and desert highly recommend a visit As it was my friends birthday they even popped a candle in his cheesecake which was delicious Will come again to this wonderful pub and will look into booking a room if they have availability for next trip to Liverpool

Me encanta este pub nunca tuvo una mala comida aquí. He estado hoy para la cena de Navidad en familia de 9 , excelente servicio y comida . Hemos estado aquí muchas veces por comida y bebidas, pero sobresalieron hoy en día dada la cantidad de gente que estaba allí. Los entrantes eran encantadores y bien presentados , seguido de una gran cena tradicional caliente de Navidad que habría comido mucho si pudiera. Seguido por un hermoso desierto. Digamos que todos estábamos disecados. Bev Trish y el equipo son todos encantadores. El pub tiene un ambiente cálido y agradable. Los días de partido aquí son brillantes, con numerosas pantallas para ver el partido , pub es un tiro de piedra lejos de LFC . Would 100% recommend the Cabbage, staff are lovely and food is great . We have just had our Christmas dinner there as a family of 9 starters main and deserts all lovely . Absolutely stuffed . Thanks to Bev Trish and team for a lovely Christmas Day Karen Keith and family . We will be back soon ❤️❤️

The steak pie and chips was very good, the gravy took it to a new level. Good point if Guinness too

For the second time in a few months we were in the Anfield Road area for a Liverpool game. The Cabbage Hall Bar & Gril is a lovely and cozy place with very kind and helpful staff, great food and a great variety of beer. We had dinner there every day and whatever we ordered for meals came very quickly and was delicious, the food prices are affordable and the portions are huge and varied. If you are in the Anfield Road area we highly recommend it.

I've never been to Liverpool before and, frankly, it's a dump. However, this restaurant is a gem. The staff members were friendly, the food was gorgeous (I could double up the Super Burger!), and the atmosphere was great. Shame about the accent though. Can I take this place back to Manchester, the far superior city?

Venimos a Liverpool 3 - 4 veces al año, pero nunca hemos estado aquí, pero hemos oído cosas buenas al respecto. Un pub viejo con comida decente y a un precio muy razonable. Todas nuestras comidas eran realmente buenas del gammon, hamburguesas, pasteles y platos de curry que todos disfrutamos tanto. La chica india en el bar era excepcional, pero los otros 2 no eran tan entusiastas como ella, pero eso es solo nuestra observación. Sin duda volver ya que la comida era tan buena. Sigue con el buen trabajo.

I come her regularly to attend the Liverpool games. The food is lovely and has loads of choices. Myself and my friends have tried various choices off the menu and they have never disappointed. The staff are amazing and friendly and a great choice of beers at the bar. If you haven’t been try it, you won’t be disappointed.

I know it is a usual thing here, still, we were not warned that you should order at the bar! the food is ok.

Decidido por un capricho de última hora para probar The Cabbage Pub & Restaurant ya que está cerca de donde vivimos. Otra razón fueron los comentarios positivos en TripAdvisor. Entonces, ¿por qué le doy a nuestra experiencia una puntuación baja? En primer lugar, al entrar, el personal no parecía interesado. De hecho, parecía como si todos empezaran a esconderse, así que nadie tenía la razón para saludarnos. En segundo lugar, caminamos por la zona del bar hasta el restaurante y ni una vez el personal detrás del bar nos saludó. Tenía que preguntar cuál era el procedimiento para sentarme y pedir comida. Y por último. La calidad de la comida. Fuimos específicamente para el asado del domingo. Estuvimos en una cola durante 10 minutos con solo 3 personas frente a nosotros. Había un miembro del personal apresurándose a hacer su mejor comida. Fuimos testigos de alimentos recién cocinados que se decantan en las bandejas de alimentos y terminan en el piso. También notamos "derrame" de comida de los platos de los clientes en el piso. Calidad de los alimentos; Promedio. Las patatas asadas recién cocinadas estaban muy duras por dentro. Las bolas de relleno eran crujientes por fuera pero robustas por dentro. En realidad diría que no fueron cocinados correctamente. Las ollas de comida de autoservicio para verduras estaban en su mayoría vacías, por lo que nos dejaron a la basura. Había un "derrame" de comida evidente en toda la gama de servidores. Lo mejor de la comida era la salsa normal. Al observar a la clientela, se notó inmediatamente que la mayoría de las personas sentadas eran de habla extranjera. Todos los que regresaban del servidor tenían sus platos cargados y llenos de comida. Es como si la gente hubiera olvidado el desayuno y el almuerzo y hubiera esperado a la cena. Incluso vi a un hombre regresar al servidor dos veces y recargar su plato. Mi esposa dejó el 75% de su comida y yo alrededor del 50%. Al recoger nuestros platos, nadie nos preguntó cómo estaba la comida. La señora los recogió, se volvió y se alejó. También observamos una puerta contra incendios de emergencia acuñada abierta con un peso. Permitir que la gente use como un corte a través del jardín trasero para fumar, etc. No volveremos a The Cabbage Pub and Restaurant por razones obvias. Pero muchas gracias por la experiencia.

Love this pub. Food is lovely...every different meal I have had was delicious. Favourite is chicken kebab, and the steak pie, has the best gravy I've tasted. Atmosphere is lovely. Very friendly feel. Special mention for the lovely manager -- Bev. She really is an asset to the pub. Lovely and welcoming every single time, no matter how busy she is!

Absolutely amazing place food is out of this world best I’ve had in a long time. Staff very well dressed pub immaculately clean reasonably priced. Went for a meal and ended up in the beer garden with friends and we had a good time the food was excellent and served hot as some places it is let’s face it and the service from bar staff was outstanding the only complaint I have is closing a pub at 9pm we would of happily started until a normal closing time of midnight and it meant moving on to another pub when we was quiet settled where we was maybe look into the opening hours as it was busy all the while we was there

Absolutely appalling food, raw chips reheated from last week it seems, fish was like rubber, no seriously it bounced and you could fold it in half and it wouldn't break, peas absolutely stone cold 😔 second time now food has been poor here, always give a second chance but *sigh* its not good folks 😞

We went for Sunday roast and it was lovely, probably the best we've had for a while. Friendly service and good price, the meat was succulent and cooked properly and they had a good variety of veg which tasted great. Would recommend them to anyone !!!

Just had a lovely roast dinner at the cabbage hall meat was succulent, gravy nice and thick everything was piping hot, very enjoyable. Lovely friendly staff aswell rob the chef and Trish the lady on the floor so very welcoming we will be back again. 😀

Used the Car Park for the Pink concert, and gladly paid the £10 charge. Better than getting a parking ticket. They guy dealing with it was Great. Even had a bit of Banter over us being Brummies.

Great place to stay if you’re going to Anfield, it’s a 6/7 min slow walk straight down the street, takeaways and newsagents shops on way and a morribobs petrol station, free parking if you stay or £10 parking if you’re not. Rooms large and very clean, decent size room with decent size private bathroom, good amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and bottled water. Free Wi-Fi, fan, clothing rail, hairdryer all in the room. Restaurant good price, good selection of food, piping hot too. Given how busy it was we couldn’t hear it from our room on the 1st floor. But the staff were the icing on the cake, fantastic customer service, nothing too much trouble and friendly, they all made the visit very enjoyable, and are a credit to the hotel!

We came from Florida United States for the Taylor Swift concert at Anfield stadium. Our main goal was to get a hotel within walking distance. The Cabbage Hall was an adorable football themed hotel with an inn feeling. We were treated exceptionally well by all staff. Anthony was the most outstanding greeter ever. He made us feel welcomed and safe. The food was great in the dining room. We are so happy we chose this place!

Thank you so much to all the friendly and helpful staff who work here! Particularly the night porter and manager, we arrived in Liverpool with nowhere to stay, this hotel saved us a lot of stress! Thank you for being so warm and accommodating.

It's more of a place to eat rather than an the old traditional pub it used to be. Spotlessly clean, very good selection of food and drink and the staff are immaculately dressed in waist coats and bow ties - definitely a touch of class in a part of Liverpool which has seen better times so credit to the owners for this. Unfortunately, very expensive - £5.50 for a pint of Stella Artois? And only two staff serving or rather not serving on a very quiet Thursday afternoon - we waited ten minutes to be served in what was an empty pub. I'm never sure how multiple large television screens with the sound turned off while Smooth Radio blares out in the background adds to the enjoyment either. It's less than a mile to Liverpool FC's ground so on a match day, it will be extremely busy indeed.

Small cosy bar/ diner / hotel Great local host - Bev Free parking Good food Safe neighborhood BAD No lift Old place (well maintained) Not your typical international chain hotel standard but has local charm Bed, pillows, bedding, blanket, towels have seen better days. Water pressure and temperature control was iffy. Hotel responded to our queries but we only stayed for 2 days and had left by then.

Very good address not far from Anfield Road. I discovered scouse, an excellent stew typical of Liverpool! Absolutely worth discovering!!! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is family-friendly.

Great visit today. A couple of hours in the sun in the beer garden. Went inside when it went a bit cloudy. Had our tea. Lamb chops for me and barbecue chicken for her. Food was spot on Great day all round.

A good location close to Anfield. Food was okay, served quickly, warm and tasty enough. The service was rather unfriendly. I ordered a Guiness and the lady at the bar poured a horrible, foamy and watery pint. She then proceeded to blame the pump for being broke.

Went here today for lunch with my uncle. I have been here a few times and can't fault it. Food was lovely. Had a tasty chicken kebab. Bev is an absolute gem who helps run the place. Would definitely recommend going there.

We did try to book for Mother’s Day, but was informed politely bookings where not being taken, we could try at our own risk and see if there was a table available, Bev the manager did her best to accommodate us, but was clear there was no promise of a table earlier that morning due to the football crowd. Have not been in this pub for years last time I was there it was a dump went there on the 17/2/24 for a party and was surprised how nice it has been refurbished and decorated. There was a nice atmosphere staff were excellent so overall I would give it a 8/10 and will be going back to sample the food and see if it is as good as it looks 👍

Stayed the one night. The room was very clean and a decent size.not too far out of town, so it's a great location. Ideal if you are going to Anfield for a game..didn't try the food but what we saw looked nice.definitley stay there again.not forgetting the warm welcome and the friendly staff. We were recommended to come here for a carvery prior to going to the match. The pud was really busy and I can see some of the other reviews point around the atmosphere if you were unconfident or timid in a busy place as it was packed. We'd pre booked and found a staff member who was brilliant and found us a table. The service was fantastic and the food came out so quick for our children, who didn't have a carvery. My wife and I had the carvery and it was delicious. Honestly one of the best we've had, the gravey was beautiful. Overall, it was fantastic service, beautiful food and great value for money. We're just gutted we're from so far away but we'll definitely be back.

Four of us met here for lunch today, the service and food was excellent, well presented, the portion sizes were large and the food quality was brilliant. It was great value for money. The pub has free parking and is very easy to find, just down the road from Anfield. We will definitely be returning soon when I’ll hopefully remember to take some photos!

We booked the function room for a surprise family get together yesterday and the staff ensured we had a great time. Food was lovely and plentiful and Sammie (I think) behind the bar did a brilliant job of keeping everyone hydrated. Organised with Bev who was great and easy to organise everything with. Would definitely recommend this if you’re looking to have a get together.

We were visiting Liverpool & had visited Anfield for a tour. This place was a short walk from the stadium. Amazing food, friendly & accommodating staff. Would recommend.

They provided a private room, buffet and bar for a funeral I went to. Lovely private room, toilets, plenty of seating and the food was excellent. Bar staff very helpful and attentive. Definitely a place I would recommend if looking for a venue for a private event, as this is the second wake I have been to here.

We were here for two nights as had tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest. We found the room very cosy with 3 beds. The staff were lovely and friendly and dressed very smart. The drinks were very reasonable prices as was the food. We didn’t stay in the room very much as we out and about in Liverpool . Room number 2 . I got a shock when we saw the room in day light. The shower wash basin and toilet were clean as was the window sills but the skirting boards and other areas were so dirty. I’m not talking weeks , must have been many months to get so dirty. So disappointing. I did take photos and wanted to report it but no one to be seen when we dropped the keys off.

Came here on a Sunday. I had the roast from the carvery, I had all 3 meats and lots of veg. The minted gravy was delicious. Also has a car park just outside which is ideal.

Usually go in the Cabbage for a pint before the match (Everton fan in a Liverpool pub, shocking i know). It's clean, the staff are friendly and there are plenty of televisions that always show the football. Eaten here a few times and it has always been a decent plate of food, so I can't complain about the menu food. Had a Sunday Carvery today. Everything was beautifully cooked, except the Yorkshire puddings, they're awful. If they managed to make their own, they would get a 5 star rating from me. Since they're the type of Yorkshires that you get from the Lidl, 50 for a quid, only 4 stars unfortunately. I really do enjoy my visits to the Cabbage though x

What a waste of time and money. The restaurant was deserted at lunchtime, that should have been a clue. Food was overpriced in every category. Fish and chips at over £11 for a very ordinary portion. The batter on the fish was dark, but not crispy, just like mush. Looked disgusting. When we raised this with the server, nobody from the kitchen or management came to talk to us. Very poor customer service. The standard burger and chips was £10, the burger was the slimmest sliver of meat possible. Cheapskate ingredients. An awful dining experience.

I was charged £2 for a glass of blackcurrant juice, this was cordial & water. I questioned the price and was told it was correct. £2 for some cordial is an absolute rip off, we will never return there again.

Went for something to eat and can only say it was very expensive for the poor quality food we were given. None of us coul finish it, it was that bad also not impressed at how the chefs handled the food. Definately wont be going back

Fantastic! Booked for a funeral celebration on a recommendation. Could not have been more impressed. Private room was large, light and airy with its own bar and toilets and access to its own outdoor small private seating area - Perfect for the smokers in our party. The staff bound not have done more for us. Service was spot on, food delicious and plentiful. Very polite throughout even when we needed to vacate room for cleaning & move into the main pub. The bar staff in there were just as pleasant and the decor lovely, seating areas for all sizes of groups. Nice large screens showing the football. Would highly recommended a visit for social or business meet ups.
