Excellent coffee and great service!

High quality espresso, off the beaten track

Nice little cafe with friendly staff. We went twice. I had the banana bread once and still think about how good it was months later. Nice to sit back outside when the weather is good. Service was a little slow. Waited about 20 mins for a cupcake and pot of tea. The cupcake WAS worth the wait though!

Very small coffee shop. But very friendly. Coffee fantastic and dark roasted with a rich taste. Pastries large and quite luxurious! Would definately return when back in the area.

We ordered a banana bread (no prep) & a cheese toasties that took approx 30 mins to arrive. So slow. Never known anything like it in my life!

Personally, I didn’t like the coffee, I think the roasting is very dark. I liked the croissant. The space was quiet but not my favorite feels, very small.

Disappointing experience. Food is overpriced and quality does not match the price. Service very slow. The place didn't look very clean; it would also be more 'thoughtful' if staff with a cold/cough wore a mask. Two stars only for the coffee, which was not too bad.

Cozy place with good coffee and service! Real macchiato!

Pretty terrible from the get go, what type of ‘coffee shop’ doesn’t offer Carmel sauce to go in the coffee. Waited 10 mins or more for 2 off the same coffees and two pastry’s that were pre-made. When the coffee arrived it was decent but they clearly didn’t add any vanilla and had to ask for some. It was at that point the server said ‘ i don’t think we’ve got much left’. If you haven’t got any stock then you shouldn’t be selling it in the first place.It was tiny cup of Spanish coffee and cost £4.75, decently made but definitely not worth the price! In addition my gf asked for sugar and they only had agave?? Another server had to come over and and bring the sugar cubes to the front desk.The only saving grace was the pan au chocolate and croissant but that’s not even made by them it’s made by butterholics.

Abrupt atmosphere for a cafe that should be more welcoming I.e greeting people, speaking to the options etc. This was not done on the occasion of my visit.

Really disappointed with this place after reading the reviews. Food and coffee were good but we waited over an hour for 6 toasted sandwiched despite being promised them in 25 minutes so be careful if you've got other things to do with your day!

Very disappointed after reading all the good reviews. Waited for an hour to get a sandwich half of the order came and the others in our party had to wait a further 15 minutes.Food was tasty when it arrived but totally ruined by the service. Would have walked out but had already paid.

I had a mixed experience at this café. On the positive side, my flat white arrived quickly, and the smashed avocado, though delayed for 40 minutes (!!!!!!), tasted good. However, the overall service left much to be desired. I had to clean my table myself, and the staff seemed distracted and appeared more interested in their phones than serving customers. It felt a bit chaotic. Given the food and coffee quality, I'd rate it 2 out of 5 stars, but the experience was somewhat disappointing. The requirement to pre-pay and tip left me feeling misled; I wouldn't have tipped had I known what to expect...

Really cute coffee shop! Coffee was great (not bitter and milk properly steamed). There’s plenty of seating, and an upstairs space with tables. Good wifi and nice overall ambiance.

One of the best coffee shops in liverpool but usually you will be waiting for your order, sometimes in 1 min you will get your order sometimes 20 min, Food orders takes forever to arrive But the food tastes good, the kitchen is small thats the reason but if you have something within 1 hr I don’t recommend to order food from there because it might not arrive. And when you order coffee and food they serve the coffee first may be 15 min between them so it would be cold. The best coffee and food but the service is very slow

I don't understand why you're just keeping on increasing your prices every 2 day? We get it if your costs are increasing but that doesn't mean you over exaggerate at the end of the day its a local cafe a tiny Spanish latte is now £4.75? is this a joke. Hygiene is not the best here plus the staff are very rude! Save your self money and time and visit mother espresso which is 3 mins away and have proper food!

Really lovely place. Had a bit of a confusion with the milk choice but the staff was so lovely and down to earth about it, got asked if I’m allergic and if everything is fine which was so comforting having in mind I hate returning drinks. The drink got swiftly remade! Thanks guys ❤️

Was in Liverpool for a week, and this nice place become the favourite breakfast cafè. Nice food. Nice employee. Nice coffee.

A nice relaxed atmosphere, good coffee, and a good spot to look out in the world going by.

Food and coffee is great, and I generally love coming here. But they had one of their who was clearly unwell, coughing away quite relentlessly. If you were sitting upstairs you could hear her coughing (it was a really bad hacking type cough). Just made so many of us uncomfortable - really bad practice. If you have someone coughing away, please don't have them serve or in the kitchen...or at work. This is one of my favourite gems, but I now I will think twice.

If you haven’t been here, we couldn’t recommend going highly enough. The staff are friendly, the coffee is delicious and so are the cakes! Nice and quiet just around the corner from John Lewis.

Nice coffee but found the staff quite rude and abrupt.

Their coffee is absolutely delicious ! My favourite coffee shop, I love their service and the staff are friendly, their sandwiches are good too ! 💌 I wish the place was a bit bigger because it’s always busy otherwise it’s the best.

This is such a marvellous independent, it's head and shoulders above the mass overpriced big coffee houses. The staff are wonderful, everyone is welcomed as a friend. The coffee and teas are outstanding....and the Cheese toasties with all the trimmings are sensational. Do yourself a favour and escape the bustle of the city centre...its just around the corner from John Lewis in Cleveland Square!!

Lovely staff who make a fantastic coffee. I had a both a long black and a soya latte, both great. Often places will curdle the soya milk but the latte I had was perfectly smooth.

This coffee shop is amazing! My favourite one in Liverpool from the first time. 100% recommended. I will be back to discover more and to feel this energy of this place again 🤍

Had a lovely americano and the grilled cheese sandwich was great. With the grilled onions on it was amazingly yummy

I visited them and ordered more than one type of coffee and cake, their carrot cake was very poor, inedible and tougher. They ignore customer reviews.

A hidden gem that I only knew about through the Qatari student community in Liverpool. I used to live in Qatar so loved the atmosphere there and it brought back fond memories as the cafe setup is similar to the independents over there. Really good quality coffee and friendly staff. My only bugbear is the fact that there are people there who keep their table despite having finished their drinks and new paying customers want to sit down😡 they should be a little stricter and move people on when they have finished or at least emcourage them to buy more!

For such a highly rated placed I was disappointed with the customer service I received when I went to pay (not the same girl who served me first). Even though the coffee was good, I tried the banana cake and it tasted very little of its main ingredient. When I went over to pay I gave my opinion and was confronted with something like "I can taste the banana!", rather than listening to the customer and improving its product. Feedback is a gift!

Nice cafe and lovely drink. The prices were a little high. I was recommended sitting downstairs as it's quite dark upstairs. The staff were particularly helpful and. friendly.

Located just ‘off’ the main drag of Liverpool One. Cafe that speaks to the locals - so you can know already it is a nice little place. Super friendly staff. Good coffee. Good service. Good selection of cakes Etc.

I asked how long would my sandwich be ?….no pun intended….. I don’t know came the curt reply-I’m not making it ….well could you ask ? No reply…20 minutes I waited that’s too long dusty shelves grubby interior coffee is 3/5 they need more staff/support and a bit more Tho…….

Before the cafe closes and whilst I waited for my takeaway coffee, I asked the barista for some tissue to wipe the water off the chair so I can sit down and wait. She replied with “The coffee is going to close in X minutes, it is a waste of tissue”. The coffee was good though.

The coffee here was great. Service very friendly and very nice people. Food was good, as a vegan, lots of good options. Had a cup cake and banana bread. Both good. Full breakfast options limited for anyone, not just vegans. Oatly barista edition milk, which is great!

Fantastic toastie and great coffee at Thoughtfully Cafe. The addition of outdoor seating in the summer is a particular delight and gives a very continental feel to a wonderful cafe. Been coming here since the early days having previously worked locally and will continue to visit over the coming years for certain!

Absolutely amazing cafe, my favourite in Liverpool. The choice for vegans is great. I love the breakfast bowl & the range of cakes. The atmosphere is really friendly & the staff really make this place. Love it.

If I lived nearer I'd be there most days. I love this place.... friendly, welcoming staff, great location and tasty food ( plenty if vegan options and plant milks) . It's one of the few non 100% vegan places that I visit. Also dog friendly which is a plus 🐩

Me and my girlfriend come here all the time. The staff are so lovely and friendly and even know what we like to order now! Freya is always very helpful and friendly to us. The cafe is tiny and so cosy, with blankets you can help yourself to, fairy lights everywhere, lovely music and an upstairs balcony to sit on. The coffee is lovely and I always go for an oat milk latte. Menu is small but very tasty, and their avocado bagels/ toast are gorgeous, especially with the chipotle paste they add. Don't see myself stopping from coming here any time soon!

We called into grab a quick coffee between Liverpool One and the Tate. This was mistake. The coffee was really good, the atmosphere relaxing, the staff friendly and both the breakfast and lunch menus looked really good.....but we did not have enough time! We have recommended it to friends and family and will definitely go back

Friendly staff, great food. I had a pizza tostie and a Spanish latte with condensed milk. And they have wi-fi. £8 for the food. Excellent.

Second time I’ve been here and this time I bought the family. Really simple venue well presented, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and I really like to support a locally run coffee shop than some of the other big names.

Lovely little cafe at the edge of Liverpool centre. If you're looking for a bit quieter coffee shop but still close to Liverpool One, this is your place. Plus the coffee is good! :-) I went there with a book on the morning of Halloween and a barista 'draw' a spider on my coffee, very nice touch made me smile x

Very quiet and cosy place. Had a hot chocolate this morning and it was delicious and was served by a very friendly lady. I highly recommend this cafe.

We were ideally looking for a light bite/soup/sandwich, but to be honest, menu was quite restricted so we decided to opt for tea/coffee/ hot chocolate and a cake. After we were served with our cake ans drinks, I asked for white sugar for my tea as brown sugar in tea in most unpleasant. Was very dissappointed to be told they didnt have any. For a small cafe which looks like their main sell would be tea and coffee, seemed like a big fail, especially when they weren't too apologetic. I was told the banana cake was nice enough, as was the hot chocolate and coffee. The chocolate strawberry cake was more like raspberry marzipan which we didn't eat and i had to leave my tea due to the lack of sugar. Very disappointing for what appears to have the potential of being a nice welcoming little cafe.

It may have been because it was a Sunday, but we went in because it looked really inviting. There were two staff working, one out front one in the back. It was just after 12:00, and three if the 6 it 7 sandwiches were not available as they had run out of ingredients. We asked if we could have what other people were having, but no that was breakfast! Reluctant we stayed. And waited about half an hour for our sandwich. When it came mine was good, her's was ok but just a cheese toasty, no rocket, garnish, nothing. She thought it a bit pretentious. They need to live up to their name, and get food out quicker. More staff?

Really cute small cafe with good photo opportunities and plenty of dairy free alternatives within the coffees. I had an Incredibly creamy oat cappuccino, and a really fresh carrot cake. Friendly staff too!

Small boutique cafe. Very good coffee. Beautiful salads & cheese toasties (amongst other things). Lovely vibe with lots of different languages being spoken around me.
