Por lo general, me encanta aquí y visitar al menos una vez a la semana. Muy decepcionados con la visita de hoy. Visité solo hoy para tomar un café ya que cambió de opinión sobre comer alimentos cuando fui testigo de que la gerente de la tienda tenía el cabello suelto mientras servía comida y tomaba pedidos en el mostrador principal. Vi cómo se rascaba la cabeza y luego tocaba los pedidos de comida. En primer lugar, ¿por qué tenía su cabello rizado colgando de los hombros en una cocina abierta / área de servicio y, en segundo lugar, ¿por qué estaba picando la cabeza en el mostrador? ¡Gran violación de higiene! ¡No la vi lavarse las manos ni una sola vez y también giró su cabello en los dedos y se lo metió en el cuello! ¡Espantoso! La zona del inodoro tampoco estaba limpia! ! ! ! 🤢 ¡Me siento extremadamente enfermo después de presenciarlo hoy y ya no iré!

Quería probar aquí porque se veía absolutamente delicioso! Asistimos a WEST DERBY PICNIC. Nuestra comida era agradable, mi pollo era bastante graso / masticable, pero todo lo demás era hermoso. El personal era servicial y la comida llegó rápido. Desde que asistimos, 2 personas han compartido conmigo mismo que cuando comieron allí su pollo era rosa y que estaban mal después. Yo estaba bien afortunadamente, pero no creo que volvería.

Very clean, fresh spacious environment with fantastic customer service!

Ordered one wrap and salt and pepper chips to take out. It took 33 minutes for me sitting in and waiting to get my order after I paid. Staff were lovely and apologetic, obviously not the front of houses fault, but jesus it took ages for one wrap. The salt and pepper chips were neither salted nor peppered, and came with some slimy ass red peppers which made the whole box of chips wet as. Also had a load of rice grains in the box of chips as well? (None of my order had any rice in it) Don’t waste your money on the salt and pepper chips, and order beforehand to save you waiting like a mong for half an hour and battling delivery drivers for a place to sit. Chickpea wrap was pretty good though.

Delivery using Uber .. tad slow so food wasn’t as hot as could be due to multiple orders being delivered BUT gorgeous food! Fresh tasty good for you grub. Well done .. as a vegetarian it’s so refreshing to have as much choice as everybody else. Thank you

Update: March 25 Had the chicken pesto pasta bowl. There was some kind of grit in the food. Guys in the kitchen seemed unpleasant and stressed, talking over the open food. I had the original falafel and halloumi salad, which was fresh and very tasty. Excellent quality coffee. I will definitely be back soon to try other items on the menu.

Nice place. They do great coffee, and the chips are made from freshly cut potatoes. I always stop by to have a drink or a bite to eat when I'm in thiis street. My only criticism is the incredibly loud night club-type music they play. It's totally inappropriate for a small place like this, where you want to read your paper, relax or chat. They should at least ask the guests if they're OK with the music played that loudly.

Love this place! Haloumi burrito and salt and pepper chips are gorgeous! All the staff are so friendly too, especially Orsolya. Excellent customer service from her today x

The Quality of the chicken was so low (or it was so overcooked) I could hardly chew it. Sweetcorn bites not what I expected. Old manky salad used in wrap and all the sauce literally all over the inner packaging. Really disappointed, especially considering how good the pics look online feel like I've paid 16 quid for a tin of Fanta lemon. First time ordering and sadly won't be again.

So twice I've ordered and wrong thing has come now. Asked to speak to a manager and got nothing. Disgusting customer service

I ordered a chicken wrap, just a few tips Chicken was plentiful within the wrap, but it was dry and unseasoned, would be best shredded, also other ingredients like whole olives put in wrap , these would have been better chopped, I got half way through this wrap and binned it as it was just too crazy to eat with huge dry chunks of chicken in it and whole olives. Nice place though , food reasonablly priced and friendly staff

I was pretty disappointed with my last order from Picnic on Smithdown. I used to love their food but this time it just wasn’t it. We ordered two OG burritos, one chicken and one halloumi, but both turned up with chicken so my girlfriend couldn’t eat hers. My chicken burrito wasn’t much better — chewy chicken, poorly wrapped, and just bland. For the price, I expected more. On the plus side, the chipotle/southwest sauce and garlic aioli were banging. The salt and pepper chips were alright but the sweet potato chips were soggy, though the less soggy ones tasted decent. The hummus and halloumi were good but not as good as they used to be. Bit of a letdown but I’ll give it another go

I was welcomed in so nicely. The food is great here and super fresh and the service is great as well. The servers are super friendly and offer a lot of guidance through the menu. This place was packed but everyone was smiling great vibes

Tasty food first and foremost, I enjoyed the Atmosphere and colour scheme of PICNIC. The staff are polite, helpful and quick. What more can you ask for? Have been a few times and will continue doing so, no complaints only praises.

Been ordering from Picnic since they opened, their food is great. One star knocked off because the last few bowls I've ordered I've paid for pineapple to be added and it hasn't been, so the staff must not be taking note of extra items added for some reason.

Tried to order on phone but had it put down on me, ordered online and was given a pick up time - arrived at the pick up time and it had only just been printed to be started so took an extra 20 minutes. This seems to happen quite a lot. Food is lovely though!

We have been her a few times and normally happy with the food, but we ordered the food today and are disgusted by what showed up. To start there was a very small portion of both chips we ordered, half a tray full. The worst part was the chicken burger, we asked for no tomatoes as I am allergic and it arrived with tomatoes on, the burger was fallen apart. When I tried to pick it up the top was soggy like clay and the bottom was ROCK hard, you can tell it was left there for a while and to top it off there was a burnt piece of ticket paper burnt into the bottom of the burger. I am speechless and never Experienced such bad food in all my life I am disgusted and promise to never order from here again, you can clearly tell the restaurant doesnt care about what they feed the customers they just wanted the food gone. Awful meals.

Wraps and bowls are good. Really like the halloumi hummus side and the salt and pepper sweet corn ribs.

been here twice and BOTH times it was gorg!! slightly expensive but mega worth it. seating area is a bit small but i've never had to wait for a table. the blonde welsh(?) girl behind the counter was super cheery she was so sweet

Used to be my absolute favourite place to eat but unfortunately I feel like the quality has gone down recently. The last 5 or so times I've ordered over the last 6 months there's been something wrong with the order every time. I've been given a berry and banana smoothie that clearly had no banana so was just watery berries in milk, I've had a wrap that was full of liquid and falling apart, chips that were raw and hard and a wrap that tasted really bad and bitter (the wrong sauce?? off ingredients?? no clue). Also requests to remove something from a wrap are now ignored every single time. I used to be a frequent customer and loved the food from here but I'm sick of being disappointed every time I come here now. I don't think I'll be ordering again for a while :(

Absolutely obsessed with this place 😍. Fresh and healthy food. All I ever order is the salt and pepper past bowl amazing lots flavour and very big size. I also have being getting there berry granola Absolutely amazing big portions again 💯 😋 . Well worth the money. Love it here ❤️

I usually love the Power Bowl, it's my go to order and has been for while as a regular customer for 2 years, but todays order, the rice was different and flavourless, there was too much salad, the broccoli was too hard and the ratio of ingredients seemed off as it was overfilled, the chicken was good although a little dry. The bowl is usually full of flavour but today's meal half of it ended up in the bin. :(

Fantastic place to eat, love coming here on the weekends to enjoy a properly tasty and healthy breakfast! Can never resist taking a protein shake away with me afterwards too, the cookies and cream one is by far my favourite! Staff is always amazing and makes the place very welcoming so I always walk away with a smile on my face 😁. Highlight of my week is being able to look forward to eating here!

Great food, well priced, lovely staff. Only thing is, the menu doesn't make clear what's vegan/veggie/meat and also what has certain allergens. Sometimes it's obvious, of course, but a lot of the items are unclear. Staff were very helpful when asked but could be made much easier with just some slight changes to how the menu is printed.

Food was horrible. Halloumi classic Wrap was dry, unseasoned and overcooked. Pasta bowl was crusty as if the pasta had been sat there for ages, Halloumi was rock hard and overall unseasoned. I’m a chef so I know how food is when it’s fresh so very disappointed. Wasn’t going to complain about the staff but since the food was inedible I might as well, staff made us feel uncomfortable as soon as we walked in, they weren’t welcoming and were rude. Very blunt and kept looking at us weird as a lesbian couple. There was someone else there waiting and they also left them waiting without acknowledging

It doesn't seem like stir fry the sugar snaps taste different hard and cold and the last time it was very dry and too much spice for someone who loves spice. (2024)

Gorgeous fresh food perfect when you want a takeaway but want something fresh instead. Ive tried the salmon pasta bowl and the pulled jackfruit burrito bowl and im not vegi but the bbq jackfruit was so tasty and definitely didnt miss the meat. I don’t like acocado either so they let me swap to guacamole instead with no added price!

We actually went to the West Derby site not smith down but couldn't find it on here to review. I'm so surprised as to how nice the food and staff were. We thought it was just a little cafe but when we went inside, it was so clean, the food was amazing and I broke my diet for their biscoff cheese cake which was on another level. The staff are fab too. I've already planned to go back next Sunday and take a different group of friends with me. Everyone needs a picnic in their life.

Ordered multiple times from here and each occasion the food arrives late - regularly in excess of 45 mins late. This latest occasion it was almost an hour and the Original Bowl had clearly been sitting in its cardboard packaging for a long time. So-much-so, the food fell through its soaking wet bowl. Both the food presentation and customer service are a mess.

Only ordered for delivery so far (many times), but looking forward to visiting. The salt and pepper wrap and salt and pepper chips are my go to, and never ever disappoint. Delivery is always so speedy and order is never wrong!

Drove 30 min round trip, Ordered a chicken power bowl, unfortunately came with no chicken, even the rest of the bowl wasn’t the same I have ordered the same order numerous times and this was by far the worst I’ve had, couldn't offer delivery so ended up with a refund, staff were apologetic and issued a refund, but still no food.

Hi guys, The review is genuine, but just to answer your question here. It took a good while to get two of the shakes made up, and you didn't have any fruit to make the ones I wanted. Shakes were okay.

First time visiting - food was good and only let down by the service. Ordered two very simple meals which looked popular choices, then sat and waited as 2 orders placed after mine were prepared and taken away along with a further 2 online orders....my order was sat at the pass and hadn't been given to the chef. Wouldn't have taken a refund or a freebie if it was offered but would have accepted an apology.

Food was ready for me on the appointed time I ordered it for. The food was made perfectly without any flaws. I'd be happy to eat again from here.

I ordered food and honestly the special sauce pasta was lovely although the superfood stir fry wasn’t the same , I had no chickpeas and rarely any veg it was all mostly noodles and they weren’t even rice noodles + barely any avocado. In the past it was amazing I just don’t know what happened this time , different chef?.

Usually love ordering from here but I ordered the southwest burger which is said to come with hummous, guac, halloumi, tomato and onion and it didn’t come with any of these things, it was literally just the patty with some lettuce, cheese and sauce

The spicy chick pea wrap was really tasty and had just the right amount of seasoning. Would recommend trying the fresh juices, too.

We ordered a delivery. Turned up about 1hr early rather than in the slot we requested. My food was great, but my wife's was cold.

Love this place - so good for a healthy dinner, a quick easy bite after yoga or a gym class or just after a long day when you can't be bothered to cook for yourself. Lovely staff, affordable prices and quality tasty, healthy food - a regular for me. We ordered a breakfast. They forgot the order, and by the time they realised breakfast was finished. We ordered a wrap which was nothing special. There’s no toilet or anywhere to wash your hands and the place feels cramped. Might be ok for a takeaway but I’d never sit in there again. Teapots were dirty also

4 items missing of our order and when in contact with staff at picnic we was not helped at all and spoke to rudely , we was told to re order using app and pay for our order again ( bear in mind cost of living crisis going on) . Terrible customer service and zero to little help with our problem , was looking forward to a Saturday night treat whilst watching the game . Disappointed to say the least

Ordered a takeaway from Picnic. Our order was a chicken burrito, halloumi burrito and a power bowl with falafel extra on the side. The order was over an hour late, there was no falafel on the power salad. The burrito labelled halloumi was actually chicken, therefore resulting in a vegetarian eating chicken…, this was extremely upsetting as you can imagine. This is our second bad experience with this place and will definitely not be going again and do not recommend to anyone.
