The food was quite expensive we paid £14 for a burger and it was just that there was nothing with it it wasn't even large or what id call gourmet. It was not anything special that is a lot of money for a single burger. It was also about, £14 for the smallest plate of ribs I have ever seen. There were 6 tiny ribs. The loaded chips were good and worth the money but the burger was not worth a fiver let alone 14 pound very disappointing

Excellent food, very clean and good prices. The staff were all so incredibly friendly too. They had run out of colouring for the kids but one super kind kind young lady brought over a pack of Uno cards to keep my 3 year old entertained, what a lifesaver! Everyone was so nice, it made our sons first visit to Liverpool a memorable one! We will definitely return here on future visits

Visited on 11th Feb 2025 for a teatime meal and a few drinks. Sat in the eating area towards the back. Service from Cathy our server was excellent and the food was tasty, hot and good value for money. This is not fine dining but what they do , they do well with friendly and prompt service. Bar area pleasant too.

The Black Horse es un pub Greene King en Prescot Road que ofrece una brillante gama de comida y bebida y este pub fue uno de los muchos pubs que fuimos en esta animada zona Liverpool. El Caballo Negro se encuentra en un brillante edificio del viejo mundo que se ve fantástico. Tiene un excelente interior con excelentes características y una bonita decoración y mobiliario y hay un montón de buenas zonas de estar y es un gran pub para ver deporte en vivo. Esta es nuestra primera visita a aquí en años y es tan bueno como cuando fuimos aquí por primera vez. Visitamos aquí temprano en la tarde y como era un viernes por la tarde era un poco ocupado aquí, pero no nos tomó mucho tiempo para ser servidos, ya que hay un montón de personal aquí. Cuando visitamos aquí tuvimos unas copas de cerveza Carling lagers que eran de primera clase y a un precio razonable. Es un pub brillante que ofrece una buena gama de comida y bebidas a buen precio y está en una excelente zona y bien merece una visita. (Esta es mi primera reseña del Caballo Negro). Lasagne nice but could have been warmer and came 19 minutes before the pizza so we all ate at different times.

Cosy little bar on Castle Street. Hugely popular, but as it is tiny it is a challenge to get in at busy times. Best in the summer when you can sit outside and people watch. Decently priced beer in schooners but wine very expensive. Would recommend getting the menu to check as we didn't and paid £38 for a bottle of, admittedly, good white wine! Lesson learned.

On the way back from the West Country, we stayed the night at the Hatch Inn. Warm friendly welcome, comfortable room and very good food at dinner and breakfast. For a local pub/rooms the Hatch has maximised it's appeal with the facilities, presentation and Menus, A very positive experience and we will certainly return when next in the area.

Visited today for lunch with my friend. We'd not seen each other for over a year, and Jason was very patient with us, allowing us extra time to choose from the menu, as we were so busy chattering away. He was so warm and welcoming and really put us at ease straight away. The food was gorgeous, but I think what really shone out for us both was Jason's excellent customer service. He was polite but friendly and checked in with us regularly to make sure our food was up to scratch and we were enjoying our visit. A real asset to the Brown's team!

Booked a table at browns for a family members 60th. We arranged with Browns and a cake company for the cake company to drop the cake and balloons at browns during the day. The cake company then contacted us to say browns did not have a booking for us and would not accept the balloons and cake (after agreeing prior).. then after speaking with Browns they agreed to accept them… arrived at the restaurant and said oh the balloons are not here which the waitress replied ‘yeah they’re out the back’ overall bad service it is not difficult to arrange to pop the balloons on the table prior to the large party arriving.. drinks service terribly slow. Waiting over 30 mins for a drink.. had to ask multiple times if somebody could take our order and had to follow up the drinks..

Had a good day but this was purely down to the company. Food very poor - been booked for months but no gluten free on the day!!! Noise was ridiculous - hen party in the next table - bride to be insisted on jumping on jumping customers backs for photos. On the plus side,’staff were fantastic
