I took my family of six including my 6 year old grandchild here on Thursday eve and it was very busy but found a table just vacated. We arrived at 7:50 pm and asked one of the staff if she could clear it for us and asked if food was still being served. The waitress, Maxine, advised us that food was being served but as children have to be off the premises by 9pm we needed to order quickly. She went and talked to the kitchen team who said if we order by 8:10pm they’d get it to us quickly so we could be out by 9. Everywhere was so busy due to the festival of light we were really greatful for this. Maxine then returned and cleared the table for us while we looked at the menus. We then gave her our order and it was delivered to us by 8:30pm latest by Maxine. The food was great and Maxine was excellent checking we had everything and making sure we were happy with our meals. She couldn’t have done more to make sure we were fed and enjoyed our visit there. We were so pleased we went back the following evening and were again pleased to see Maxine. She is such a credit to the team. We’ll be back again when we next visit our city of birth, though we no longer live there

Called into the Pump House for drinks before going to a concert. I ordered 2 bottles of Sol Beer and was informed there was no lime or lemon available. This we accepted even though I do prefer a lime with my Sol. On receiving our 2 bottles and preparing to pay we where told it came to £12.20 (£6.10 per bottle). I asked the member of staff was this correct and was informed it was and she did not set the prices. I appreciate a business has to make a profit, but a single bottle now costing more than a pint is extortionate and a total rip off to customers they need to attract and retain. I would be interested to hear a response from the brewery but as it stands I will not return and be informing friends and colleagues not to use this establishment

We popped in to this venue for some lunch and drinks. Lucky to spot a free table as it was very busy, with quite a few of the tables pre-booked. Staff attentive and a pleasant atmosphere too! I opted for the Bacon & Cheese Burger, my wife had the cheese Toastie with a portion of Onion Rings, both came well presented, although the Onion Rings could have been warmer. Worth a visit if you are in the area!

All the staff were lovely, a particular member (possibly called Elle or similar, who saw to me at the outside seating....was very helpful and caring, nothing was too much trouble) and another young lady behind the bar, was extremely happy and considerate, (I'm thinking her name is Katie, but I might be wrong, sorry) I had a better time than anticipated. I would definitely visit again. And the fish and chips with mushy peas was spot on.

Lovely staff, food was such a let down especially for the price. Fish and chips, fish seemed like frozen and mushy in texture like bad fish fingers, the triple cooked chips where clearly not triple cooked. Once I would say. The mushy peas just came as peas and they had been frozen to a point that half the peas where solid. The lambs pasley was old and withered, almost dry. Potion size, not great either for the potion. Haloumi salad, Haloumi was massively under cooked on one side only. Sauce felt like it came out of a jar. And salad was very basic..... for £14. The potted crab was just incredibly fishy and just tasted like a paste.... so not fresh. It took 40 mins+ for food to turn up, and on high insight i realised very little people at lunch actually had any food there... think I saw 4 tables served up. All in all for what was over £40+ for a meal. Very disappointing. I would like to point out the sea gull and pigeon.... had no complaints... In fact they loved it. And if you want a drink go for it, it's a great location 👍.

Hope Greene King will work on improving their menu - their locations are always stellar. Food isn’t bad but almost universally underwhelming. Always come to a Greene King for the convenience and location, but always wind up wishing I’d gone somewhere with better food. As is, just a perfect drinks spot - but I’d go elsewhere for lunch.

This is a very cosy little bar on Castle street. I believe it used to be a pharmacy for many years and they took over the name with little links in the display window to its previous history. It's mainly cocktails and wine with a small selection of beers. There's comfortable seating inside and outside seating for when the weather's a bit better.

My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into The Hatch, been here before, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I like the look of this bar, interior is superb, exposed brickwork, eclectic decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Slater Street. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, we got a beer each from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and as it was happy hour only £2.50p a pint, great value for money indeed in Liverpool City Centre, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My beer was really good, it's a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this bar, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a cold beer sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Hatch we had a great time. The Hatch is easy to locate along Slater Street, a street famous for its great pubs and bar. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 3pm till 2am. Friday to Sunday, midday till 4am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
