Excellent food, very clean and good prices. The staff were all so incredibly friendly too. They had run out of colouring for the kids but one super kind kind young lady brought over a pack of Uno cards to keep my 3 year old entertained, what a lifesaver! Everyone was so nice, it made our sons first visit to Liverpool a memorable one! We will definitely return here on future visits

We only drank but a great pub and great atmosphere with great staff

Lovely little pub on the docks. Music a little loud at dinner time so hard to have conversation but atmosphere still nice. Food was filling but burger bun and salad was a little dry. Perhaps sat under heat lamp. Otherwise great service thank you.

Sometimes quiet, sometimes busy, but always friendly

We went as family, my wife and I wanted Sunday dinner to be told they had sold out, it was 6.30 in the evening. We than chose the pie , again sold out. Next we ordered sirloin steaks to be cooked medium. The steaks arrived very thin over cooked and full of grisle. I eat mine, but my wife's had very little meat to eat. We complained and they gave us the money back for her's,iwas offered a free sweet which never arrived , my wife declined her offer of a sweet. The rest of the family had a reasonable meal to be fair. The staff overall were very good at trying to sort out our meals. Very busy Sunday, wrong place, wrong time. Liverpool playing at home made everywhere very busy,I don't think that helped.

Lovely building with friendly staff. A good choice of tables, ordered food at the bar and it arrived quickly. Lovely crispy Squid, Chicken Wings, Salad, Triple-cooked Chips & piping hot Coffee.

Far too expensive. £13.60 for a pint and a bootleg of cider! Ouch

£18 for 2 double whiskey and cokes 😬 Edit : Well someone in your company has set the price haven’t they ? So don’t lie to your customers. As a double jd and coke is £6.50 as standard price (2025). £9 per drink is a cocktail price not for a basic drink.

Good place for a nice drink with friends and family

A great place to eat and drink in a superb location. The bar staff were extremely polite and knowledgeable, especially when it came to choosing the different spirits. I couldn"t fault the food either. Cooked to my taste and well presented. I will certainly be making a return visit.

We wanted and evening meal having been exploring Albert dock and surrounding environs, this was Sunday. In the pub we asked but all Sunday Roast had been sold out. The bar could not apologise more, explaining it had been really busy in the afternoon I felt a bit bad as not exactly end of world stuff for us. The pub is converted Victorian pump house, inside looks a nice pub. There was seating area upstairs, we sat down stairs. I do judge a place by the toilets, and the Pumphouse toilets, well the boys were clean and well maintained not grubby at all. As for the food we ordered hot tasty and nice so need for roast after all. Staff friendly and wanted to serve us.

Lovely pub on the dock. The only thing that lets them down is cleanliness. Tables, always seem in need of tidying up. But the atmosphere is warm and cosy.

Went for lunch there was 5 of us.. We didn't book, but it wasn't busy. There was a little hic up with our order, but it got sorted out in no time in a professional manner. Food was worth the wait. Will be back again

Popped in for a drink on our first night in Liverpool and liked it so much that we returned for a meal the following night. One meat eater and one vegan and both of us had a first class meal. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning some time.

had a great time at the Pumphouse, our server Elle was perfect and made our time there really enjoyable. Food was lovely and the atmosphere cosy enough for a meal!

10/10 service from the girl with a blonde bob and tattoos. she served me a steak which was to perfection. i licked the plate clean. unfortunately i don’t understand the scouse accent very well, but the girl put on her best posh accent and went above and beyond. would recommend and will return again.

Yes ‘Top Notch Service’ by the girls tonight - ‘Ell’ in the main and not to forget ‘Charlotte’ too. Birthday meal with my mate felt very welcome and we got great banter and a barrel a laughs going with a Happy Birthday Sing-along with candle lit Sticky Toffee pudding courtesy of ‘Ell’ who may audition for the Voice but Pump House always her priority what a Champion 🥳 cheers ladies. We went looking for a nice place to eat on our last evening in Liverpool and stumbled upon the Pump House. It was packed with only a couple of tables left. One of the employees saw us looking around for a seat and brought us to a table for two. We ordered via the app and service was quick and friendly. In fact the staff couldn't do enough for us. The app was helpful as it told you the meals that were unavailable due to the influx of guests. The meal was great, the staff polite, attentive and thoughtful. The atmosphere was wonderful, everyone was having a good time. It was a really friendly, welcoming atmosphere. There were lots of families as well as lots of groups just getting together. We would most certainly visit again.

Had a great night at the pump house and that was down to our great waitress Elle ,who went out of her way to look after us .

When I am always out and about in Liverpool. We as a family always pop into the pumphouse for a bite to eat. The staff are always so friendly and we have never had a problem getting seating. The food is delicious and always fast. Never had any concerns l. Highly recommend

We popped in to your pub just before Christmas. The staff where amazing and the atmosphere was unreal. Perfect ending to a fun fulled day out for Christmas shopping with the family.

The pumphouse is a lovely establishment on the Albert docks, with great vibes and even better food. Service was excellent and was served by a lovely girl called Rachel who served me with a smile. I personally recommend the steak from here as it was cooked to perfection.

Fantastic place, welcoming and very themed.

Food wasn't too bad ,portions of main meals could have been better for the price paid. Wasn't given cutlery or offered condiments. They didn't have decaffeinated coffee, most Greene King Establishment offer this now. Wasn't too impressed seeing the chef from the kitchen taking rubbish outside wearing their kitchen uniform then going back in to the kitchen to prepare more food. This is.definitely not deemed acceptable and one of the rules in hygiene in the kitchen. You take your uniform off to go outside or visit the rest rooms.

Lovely smallish pub but with loads of room! There is plenty of seating as you go upstairs towards the toilets so if you cannot see any seats on the ground floor try upstairs! Lovely atmosphere inside , only had drinks but they were very reasonable. Friendly and helpful staff no problems at all. Recommended

Hi everyone me and my partner went to the pump house on Saturday afternoon and it was very busy ,but luckily enough we had booked a table for 3 oclock. We got seated straight away by our server Jodie,now to say Jodie went above and beyond my expectations. I have a garlic intolerance and a vegetarian. So I asked Jodie if she could make sure there was none in my meal,well she made it a personal mission to do that for me ,even taking pictures of the ingredients of the packaging. Needless to say I had a great meal aswell as my partner. I never experienced such customer service like it before. Jodie was brilliant and the other staff where helpful aswell.i would certainly recommend the pump house to anyone 👏

It's a Green King. Perfectly pleasant pub, with good beer, reasonably good food and very reasonable prices. Right in the middle of the Liverpool docks waterfront.

I visited the pump house, for the first time on 24/11. The lady who took our order was lovely. Very friendly and welcoming. My friend and I had the cheese toastie, and shared some fries. My other friend had a chicken and bacon baguette. We all thought the food was delicious. We also had two mulled wines, and a tea. Which all came to £40. We were very pleased. The young gentleman who brought our food to us was also very friendly. I would certainly visit again, and would recommend to others.

Possibly the worst Sunday Roast I have been presented with in a long time!! Veg and potatoes were luke warm,the Yorkshire pudding was burnt on the outside and still frozen in the middle. Asked for another Yorkshire only to be presented with a lukewarm,microwaved replacement!! Portion size too small for the asking price. For £15.00 you should be ashamed to serve food like this!! Very disappointed as I have visited a few times previously.

It’s a crime against beer to serve Abbot Ale chilled. Just saying.

Loved this place. A little pricey, of course. With the location and the size of this place, it was going to be a bit more. But it was so nice inside, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made my drink even though they were unfamiliar with it. I hope to be back!

Part of a day out in my home town, we usually visit here, it's a bit of an iconic venue.

I took my family of six including my 6 year old grandchild here on Thursday eve and it was very busy but found a table just vacated. We arrived at 7:50 pm and asked one of the staff if she could clear it for us and asked if food was still being served. The waitress, Maxine, advised us that food was being served but as children have to be off the premises by 9pm we needed to order quickly. She went and talked to the kitchen team who said if we order by 8:10pm they’d get it to us quickly so we could be out by 9. Everywhere was so busy due to the festival of light we were really greatful for this. Maxine then returned and cleared the table for us while we looked at the menus. We then gave her our order and it was delivered to us by 8:30pm latest by Maxine. The food was great and Maxine was excellent checking we had everything and making sure we were happy with our meals. She couldn’t have done more to make sure we were fed and enjoyed our visit there. We were so pleased we went back the following evening and were again pleased to see Maxine. She is such a credit to the team. We’ll be back again when we next visit our city of birth, though we no longer live there

Visited today,not too busy. Didn't have any food, but 2 star service related to being left at the bar waiting to be served whilst two of the bar staff finished off a conversation before asking what I'd like.

Called into the Pump House for drinks before going to a concert. I ordered 2 bottles of Sol Beer and was informed there was no lime or lemon available. This we accepted even though I do prefer a lime with my Sol. On receiving our 2 bottles and preparing to pay we where told it came to £12.20 (£6.10 per bottle). I asked the member of staff was this correct and was informed it was and she did not set the prices. I appreciate a business has to make a profit, but a single bottle now costing more than a pint is extortionate and a total rip off to customers they need to attract and retain. I would be interested to hear a response from the brewery but as it stands I will not return and be informing friends and colleagues not to use this establishment

Food was terrible! For the price there was barely anything on the plate. The triple cooked chips looked like they’d been reheated 50 times. My plate was full of salt and the steak was so chewy it has honestly been the worst meal I’ve every had.

We had a late lunch here on Monday, and even though it was overflowing with people, the service couldn't have been any better. The food is well presented, and it is excellent quality.

Delicious food, good beers, sumptuous place. All together to make you feel like you're actually going to be a fisherman.

Nice pub near Liverpool waterfront

Don’t fall in love with the menu as most things I asked for weren’t available for two days in row. Burger and fries were standard quality.

We popped in to this venue for some lunch and drinks. Lucky to spot a free table as it was very busy, with quite a few of the tables pre-booked. Staff attentive and a pleasant atmosphere too! I opted for the Bacon & Cheese Burger, my wife had the cheese Toastie with a portion of Onion Rings, both came well presented, although the Onion Rings could have been warmer. Worth a visit if you are in the area!

The food here is very well done. I had the vegetarian burger and it was amazing. The battered halloumi is a must have if you come here. Atmosphere was great and I really enjoyed my time here and would come back!

What love place .calm and relaxed evening. We stayed in Albert Dock close by.so for anyone staying on the Dock and are looking for somewhere to eat that's great price and and amazing food it's a must try x my friend had the steak I chose the venison of special board it was amazing it was . I think the lady that served us was called sue what to thank her for looking after us on our visit would recommend try this little gem.

It was a sunny day so the 7 of us sat outside. Whilst it was busy some people gave us their table in a typically Scouse friendly way. The food was served hot and the drinks were fine.
