Unfortunately poor experience… waited a very long time in the queue with only 2 customers in front of us. Only wanted 2 take away coffees… charged extra for alternative milk - I never understand this as the cafe doesn’t use the ordinary milk so take that off the price then add on alternative milk price… eventually got coffee to take in walk … no cup sleeves but it turns out that didn’t matter as coffee was only lukewarm anyway. Will not be returning! Expensive and poor product 👎🏼

Why doe's Booths fresh breads look so lovely and always smell and taste like cardboard I should really go to a proper bakery I guess

Took my 2 nephews for something to eat,no impressed by decor. To my nephews, not very Harry Potter. Food was very expensive and not the greatest quality. Will not be going back,if you have not been, don't bother.

El camarero me cobró 22. 10 libras por un solo ron y coca 😳😳😳 O es una estafa o un robo. No estoy contento de no volver otra vez.

Could not believe it when I was asked for payment after ordering myself a bacon sandwich and cheese on toast for my partner. Cheese on toast £7.50 Bacon sandwich £7.25 (on a disgusting stale ciabatta that I can only think was previously frozen). I thought this would be the best snacks we had ever eaten after being charged such an extortionate prices. However, they did not even warm the ciabatta (which was stale in any event). VAT is still only 5%, so when it goes back to 20% next year will be an even bigger rip off. The people who own this cafe ought to be ashamed of themselves. I know business have been hit hard with this covid pandemic but everyone is struggling at the moment, its no excuse to blatantly rip people off. Not only was it a rip off price but it was nothing special to boot. Had better in a greasy spoon.

Made a prior arrangement with Carlie for members of our walking group to call for after-walk coffees. It was agreed that I would phone apx 20 mins before anticipated time of arrival. They were quite happy to go along with this. Seats were reserved for us in the conservatory. Orders for a variety of coffe's, tea, drinking choc. etc were taken and served very quiickly. All the drinks were nice and hot, very welcome on a cold day. We were made to feel most welcome. We are a rather noisy bunch but hopefully being in the conservatory the 16 of us were not too much of a nuisance! This put a good finishing touch to an enjoyable last-of-the- years walk, Thank-you, Jayem.

The worst service and meal we have had in along time!!!! We arrived and were never greeted then ignored by a girl with shaved hair at the bar when trying to order food....took around 30 mins to be acknowledged staff are basically not interested.... I have done front of house in another local pub and would never ignore customers ....then to top it off the food was average alot like weather spoons ....a lady behind us was complaining about her seabass which came with 3-4 boiled potatoes and a tiny bit of kale ....bad news travels in the area so drastic changes are needed as there is much nicer in the area..... the bar was warm and cosy but we most certainly won't be back!!!!

Stopped for lunch, with seating undercover outside, ideal so could park the bicycles near by. I had a wagu beef burger topped with cheese and lovely bacon on a brioche bun, a lovely fresh side salad, and hot fresh fries all nicely presented. An americano with a biscuit on the side. My partner had an equally lovely omelette with a side salad. The service was very good, and we sat eating and watching the world go by. The toilets were lovely and clean. Great stop off whether for breakfast lunch or afternoon food and drink. Would recommend to friends and family.

At just outside of the city , this is a lovely little cafe/restaurant set on the waterfront . The food was lovely and staff excellent. We stayed inside due to the weather , but this also has an extensive outside seating /dining area and a lovely deck overlooking the water. Food ranged from lite bites to main meals, all looked lovely coming out of the kitchen. Will definately visit again, as it is only a short drive from home. I would recommend booking , particularly if the weather is dry and sunny. Would recommend.

Lovely, cosy place; it's such a shame about the food. I chose the slow cooked brisket with glaze and cheesy mash. It arrived in a bowl, absolutely swimming in gravy. I couldn't see any mash or veg, only the top of the brisket peeping out the top. The brisket was one piece, very thickly cut. It was edible but every time I cut into it the gravy seeped out over the side of the bowl. Eventually I managed to fish out some mange tout and lo and behold, there beneath I found the mash nestling in the bottom which was the nicest part of the meal. The gravy was horrendous, the most peppery gravy I have tasted. I was gagging for water! My husband's Sunday roast chicken wasn't any better. The chicken arrived burnt black, his potatoes were hard and tastless as was the Yorkshire pudding. Never again. The best part was the staff who were so lovely we didn't have the heart to complain.
