The bartender charged me 22.10 pounds for just a single rum and coke 😳😳😳 Either it is a rip off or theft. Not happy at all not gonna go back again.

I've been coming here for years. But unfortunately I came last week with my sister and her boyfriend and while we were dancing (it was crowded with people dancing), there was a glass collector that seemed of unstable character, screaming "F**KING MOOOOVE!" into the crowd as he was walking through. It gave us a shock, the first time. Then later, when we were dancing by the DJ booth, he did the same thing again, screamed "F**KING MOOOOVE!" and then threw a drink at my sisters back. When my sisters boyfriends confronted him about this behaviour, we were told we had to leave and escorted out by another member of staff. Weird behaviour.

Bar staff are uneducated, argumentative and rude. Drinks orders made wrong. Staff would rather talk amongst themselves than serve customers waiting at the bar. Refused tap water and told to buy it from ‘down the road’ at the newsagent. Left the place unsatisfied and in the future I will follow their advice and go to a different place ‘down the road’.

Went on TV a Monday night, was quite quiet. However, it was our first time in Liverpool for a night out so it could have been our own fault. Would recommend for couples or small friend groups looking for a chill one. Note: review written during COVID pandemic - may not represent true experience.

typical bouncers wouldn't let us in on a Saturday because it was 5 lads none of us was drunk and the place was empty , shame on the bar really letting them turn away money at the door because its not a group of women .

The Prime Minister Boris has laid down the roadmap out of the pandemic with pubs being allowed to reopen from the 12th of April with outside service only and from the 17th of May inside and outside service allowed and by June 21st more or less back to normality so it will be great to again visit streets such as Seel Street and enjoy great bars such as Brooklyn Mixer . A wonderful bar ,great cocktails and craft beers served by staff who are genuinely pleased to see you in their establishment and the bar itself is so cosy ,I think it will open up again in May ,can't wait to visit here again and chill out with a craft beer or two. Easy to locate along Seel Street and most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and when the 3rd and final lockdown is lifted.

Seven of us went for the cocktail masterclass as part of a hen party in the early evening. We had the whole downstairs section to ourselves! Scott taught us and he was really good and made it so fun. He showed us some flaring which was so cool! We got to drink loads too so it’s really great value for money. We wanted to stay all night because the music was good but had a booking to get to Thanks Scott for the great night!

I went to Brooklyn Mixer as part of a weekend long hen do. It was the highlight of the weekend! Dropsy (Ammin) and Tin tin (Scott) were so great! They were funny and charming and made us some fabulous drinks as well as teaching us some great cocktail making skills. I even liked my sh*t shot that I had to drink. Couldn't recommend these private sessions enough!

A group of 14 of us came to this bar for a cocktail masterclass for my best friends hen party and what a fantastic time we had a we did the class with ammin and scott   Both of them were fantastic and had us in stitches from start to finish We 100% recieved our moneys worth in drinks and has a whole basement to ourselves Ammin and scott made sure we had a great time and are a credit to the business If anyone is thinking about it ..do it You wont regret it We left very drunk and will be returning soon

Popped in for a cocktail whilst on our way to Chinatown for food , ended up having three and a secret shot! Scott behind the bar was very knowledgeable about the cocktails on the menu, asking what we liked and recommending ones to our taste. During our stay in this wonderful city we drank in a variety of bars and a few of them would benefit from training their staff in the art of customer service and take a few pointers from the bar tenders at Brooklyn Mixer.

We looked on the internet prior to our staff party night out around Liverpool on a Monday night this looked like the place to be especially with the big ques when we arrived.... how wrong I was upon entering the que I spoke to a door man as they was asking everyone for id we had a few ladies in their 40’s so I was just checking we would be ok as we don’t need to take id on a night out, the bar man insisted everyone had id! I was questioning why as surely he can see we are old enough and another bouncer walked over shouting don’t give them answers just tell them to f*** o** 😧 absolutely shocking couldn’t believe it! Would never give this place a penny of my money when they employ door staff like that. Good luck with your business

Visited here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant bar. Really friendly staff, the music and drinks where excellent too. Will be returning again soon.

Ruangan bar yang indah, interior mengagumkan, staf sangat baik dan layanan sangat bagus. Lokasi sangat strategis,hidangan koktail sangat enak dan segar.

We booked this cocktail making class on a Friday night. We were pleasantly surprised that we had the whole of the basement floor dedicated to us. Don't think civilised drinks - think fun drinking games, a great bar man with an evil sense of humour and so many shots we all left absolutely leathered. Ignore the advert which stipulates 2 drinks per person... you get your fill believe me. We had an amazing time and we all think this is possibly the best thing we did all weekend. Well worth it.

The cocktails were nice and menu great (it is colour coded to show which spirits are in which drink). However it is losing stars purely for the noise. It was fairly empty inside and the people there were clearly trying to talk to each other. it was only 10pm, and if you’re not in a packed nightclub there is no need for music to be deafening. It was really offputting and meant we only stayed for one drink, where We sat outside purely so we could hear each other talk... Door staff were nice and funny though, which is rather the opposite of what I’ve read on here! Try to get there early enough for the 241 cocktail deals too to make it more affordable.

Not very busy early evening so no problem relaxing on the sofas. Enjoyed the nachos with a comprehensive range of dips. Good range of keg beers but no draught that I could see. Cool decor especially the outside courtyard which is bold and colourful.

The security guys make a bit of a fuss but as long as I have my ID with me, I have had no problems. Once you are in, the music just makes up for everything. Well the kind of music I like. So go on, check it out. You can always leave if it does not cater to your taste. I usually go for the Brooklyn lager :)

Fab 2 for 1 cocktails amazing service from Nathan and Connor. Came in for an drink and it's better than Alma de Cuba seriously check this place out.

Visited fairly early on Bank Holiday Monday so there were no bouncers on the door which seem to be the main cause of all the poor reviews.

Visitamos este lugar varias veces por la noche. La mitad de las veces he tenido problemas con la entrada a mí tenían porteros de negarse o mis amigos sin razón aparente, con uno de los porteros bullyish claramente tener una actitud, lo que hace que él/ellos generalmente el problema causers. Una vez resultó ser mi amigo agarramos por el cuello y sacadas. Sin embargo, menos la tenían porteros y su actitud poco profesional (que no he encontrado en Liverpool) el bar es un lugar agradable. Una pena que lo arruina.

I have been here a decent amount of times. It a 3 floor club and plays good music. Worth a visit on a Monday because it is the day to go because it's the student night and it's always packed.

Visited with a group of girlfriends. Large queue, but that's a good sign of a popular place. Was very impressed by the professionalism of the door security. A bit like the airport - you would rather they make sure there are no idiots or threats. They were pleasant, checking id's and scanning with a wand. Saw them refuse some guys who were drunk which made me feel safer knowing they weren't letting just anyone in. Great music, cocktail choices and friendly bar staff.

Easter Sunday night out with my girlfriend and we decided to go into Brooklyn mixer for a few drinks, through previous experiences I tend to stay clear of the place because I think the doormen are rude, pushy and generally trouble causers. Low and behold nothing has changed... if I was part of a rowdy group being loud or nuisance I would expect the doormen to be a bit stern with us but as there was just me and my girlfriend there was no need for the way they act. They grunt, snarl, push and generally try to belittle people. The bar itself is a nice place and the bar staff are all friendly its just the doormen who ruin this place. We stayed for 15 minutes and left. We wont be back here again as there is other bars in the area that have a better atmosphere and a welcoming feeling.

And yes, for perspective, I went to many a bar in Liverpool. I'd actually prefer to go to the real Brooklyn than this bar. And Brooklyn sucks.

Went here on a Monday night and honestly had a fab night, one of the best nights out I've ever actually had. Drinks are great price and the atmosphere was brilliant. I love the idea of different floors of music and ya wee fella who was giving out free shots was an utter blast. All I would say that was slightly off putting was my friend had a bit of trouble at the door with the bouncers about her ID, but you can't really complain about someone just doing their job! Also, huge appreciation to Mark the bouncer, he was so lovely and kept me company while I waited outside for my friend at the end of the night. If you are looking for a good night out, I'd highly recommend this place and if I return to Liverpool, I'll definitely be coming back.

The bouncers are nasty and chuck you out for no reason. Then make you queue for no reason because they won't let you back in, horrible place and horrible bouncers

It took me at least 6 times of going to this bar before realising it has 3 floors of music, it's really popular amongst my circle of friends and the music is different from most bars in Liverpool. Im a personal fan of using a skateboard as a door handle for the gents toilets and the large outdoor area if you or your friends need to smoke. Lastly I would urge people to ask about the secret drinks that aren't on the menu, I tried the double Fearnhead on the rocks, they used dry ice and a custard cream as a garnish which looked awesome.

Came this week and had an absolute ball! The cocktails were lovely and really reasonably priced at 241 at certain times! All the staff were really friendly as I didn't know which one to choose and they talked me through the menu and helped me pick a delicious one! The blonde manageress was especially lovely chatting and making conversation! We will be back!

Me and a group of friends visited Brooklyn mixer a coupled weeks back. We arrived at around half 11 and there was already people waiting to get in. We where asked for ID (which you expect these days in town) and it weren't an issue. Door staff very friendly and laughed and joked with us on are way in. The music in this venue is fantastic, everyone in there was singing and dancing which was lovely to see. The staff were very friendly and service was quick, prices are good too; Considering Brooklyn mixer is a city centre cocktail bar. Overall we all and a a maxing night and will defiantly be back! Thank you!!

Stumbled here after dinner for cocktails, in all honesty quite drunk, asked for water twice but not provided. Aim is to get you drunk not sober. Good drinks otherwise.

Absolutely disgusted by last nights events. Manageress so rude and can't seem to deal with a tiny situation where accidentally spilt a drop of my drink on her. Absolute shocker - so rude and will never be coming back and never recommending to anyone EVER

Went to Brooklyn mixer on a thursday. Staff where awesome, very friendly and great to talk to. Cocktails where spot on, id recommend a "Draught of the dead", was really nice and cooled quite cool! Big shout out to this place !

Used to love going here music great staff great and always used to have a great time. Unfortunately its took a turn for a worse, the bouncers are the most inhumane people I could possible come across its disgusting how they treat people, there's being a bouncer and then there's being a bully and hitting people. They all need to take a look into why they got shut down at the beginning of the year because this is a massive problem. A lot of my friends now don't go here because of the problems and issues there is constantly don't waste your time or money.

Visited this bar many times,very modern New York Loft design,dimly lit,candles everywhere and a DJ in the corner playing old skool r&b/ hip hop tunes. Great variety of drinks and the cocktails are gorgeous and very professionaly made,they even do 2for1 at times. Very friendly and helpful bar staff aswell makes this a perfect bar to visit everytime I visit the city centre. Definitely recommended.

Door staff really friendly, they check everyone's ID whether you look 16 or 60, so make sure you take ID with you. Bar staff are really efficient and we got served quickly. Drinks not to expensive for a city centre bar. Cocktails looked really good as well! Would highly recommend to all!

On Saturday night me and 6 of my friends were ready to enter the club, only to discover the clubs ridiculous outdated shoe policy. Me and my friend were both wearing Nike TNs and therefore were not allowed to enter the club. Personally I find it offensive that TNs and 110s aren't allowed in the club, yet heeled trainers and other diabolical shoes/trainers are?

A group of us, all college staff and over 28 in ages, tried to get in here before 10pm tonight, the bouncer told us we went allowed in without ID . We were taken aback as were all well over 21, (I'd love to say I look about 18, but I don't), the bouncer said we had to be scanned in, WHATTTTTTT!!! Who in their right mind carries a passport or drivers licence with them if they are obviously over 21? I could understand if any of us looked under age, but come on. We'd heard fab things about the venue and wanted a dance, never got it! Won't bother with the place again and definitely won't be recommending it either! Ridiculous!

Love the music in this place and the choice of drink but was really disappointed on my last visit staff were rude and argumentative when we asked if we could be served after being stood at the bar for a good 10 minutes watching them all having a chat. Lad behind the bar got quite aggressive. Will not be returning here.

Visited on a night out with friends and enjoyed it, good music, good vibe about the place and when we managed to get served (it was packed) we had a good time. It's a shame the place ain't in a bigger venue as they got all the elements right such as music, drinks and service, it's just heaving with people which is no surprise.

This was a nice place for a drink but it had to many people in. You couldn't move in the bar!!! I would go back but on a less busy night maybe a weekday.

Friends took me to the Brooklyn Mixer as it's well known for cocktails. We had a Sweet old vernon each and it was great! The bar staff certainly know how to make a great cocktail!!

Atmosphere on the first floor wasn't great, got bumped into twice and if only just walked in the door, upstairs in the chilled area was much quieter and better. However there was quite a young crowd in there which put us off a bit.

Visited this place a few times at night. 3/4 times I've had trouble with bouncers refusing entry to either me or my friends for no apparent reason. One time resulted in my friend being grabbed and pulled backwards down the stairs. However, minus the bouncers, always have a great time inside!

I've loved Brooklyn Mixer every time I have visited. Wide range of drinks to choose from and love the fact it has different levels with different music. I will be going back!

Located on Seel Street which really seems to be an up and coming area of liverpool these days.Music was banging and really helped us get in the mood.Bar tender was a little over flirty for my liking, (and my husbands) Cocktails flowed and we enjoyed our time here. Huge queue for the toilets so maybe they need to invest in a few more cubicles.I am currently ranked number 1 by trip advisor for my regular and genuine reviews. Great music on all three floors, excellent staff and good selection of beers, brilliant cocktails aswell!

Inappropriate comments were made about me by the bouncers as I walked through the door of this bar. I find it disgusting that your members of staff think it is appropriate to comment on people's appearance as if the customer cannot hear them, and I will not be returning due to this.

Visited in the day for a change yesterday with a few friends and it was a good little place to chill out in the back yard- even had a free BBQ which made it even better! Only thing was that as it got to about 5 they really turned the music up so it got impossible to hear our conversation, it was still light at this point not night club hours before anyone thinks I'm mad! It was great though before that and when we've visited in the early hours it's always a great night.

Walked in, looked cool...went in for a drink. First thing can't pay with a card unless it's over £5.00...annoying but quite common...so I ordered another drink to take it over the £5.00...it was a non-alcoholic cocktail...was gobsmacked when it's was £5.00 for an NON-alcoholic drink tried the drink and it was vile. So took it back to the bar..the barman was miserable,rude,uninterested and unhelpful. He told me he thought it tasted fine. To be honest I couldn't care less what he thought, I didn't like it. Then we got told we could take a bottle of beer home and that we couldn't have our money back. My boyfriend wasn't having that so continued to contest and we eventually got our money back. Really terrible service. Was like talking to a corpse. I've seen dead fish with more of a sparkling personality than this barman!

Went for my birthday this year - bouncers had no problem with a group of 5 guys walking in, music was great on both floors and drinks were reasonably priced.

A few friends said this is a good place, security told me my £90 shoes weren't nuce enough to come in "to an average bar" joke of a set up.. Don't even waste any of your time at all... There was a coloured door man who was abusive, offensive & ignorant. Is this who you really want to employ?? Totally avoid!!!!

After walking into this bar, about 20 seconds later two of the bouncers pushed me into a door corner and seriously hurt my back whilst taking someone out of there. When I told them what they had done they said 'it happens' not even an apology, so I went to speak to the manager at the bar and told him what happened and he didn't apologise either just shrugged the situation off.. I can honestly say I will never step foot in there again as the staff are so stuck up and I'll mannered. Wouldn't reccomend at all.

Brilliant bar, lots of music choice, nice enough people and not too expensive (but I live in London).NEEDS MORE LADIES LOOS. The queues were ridiculous.

First time out in Liverpool on a Saturday night. I'd got a list of places to go and this wasn't on my list and there was a queue but it looked so good from the outside.Inside it was so cool. We had to go upstairs as the first floor was full (not a problem).The music was amazing! Prince as we arrived! Yes!!Drinks were good.Definitely recommend this place!

Excellent music and very modern, climatic interior. So nice and friendly staff, specialy one of the young barman with black hair and cap. Great music. We were there on New Year's Eve party and also other days. Everytime so enjoyable party.

We went to this great Seel street venue on a Friday afternoon,and even though it had just opened there were still a few people starting off there day out.Great bar on three floor's with superb music,we settled near the bar and got bottles of DIXIE BEER and GOOSE ISLAND HONKERS ALE at well under £4 a bottle,not to bad,considering it's not something you will find in most pub's The beer's were fantastic,atmosphere was superb so we stayed and got a beer we had not had before,MENEBREA BEER from Italy.This beer was just fabulousIt's an easy bar to find,being on SEEL STREET,with lot's of other good bar's and restaurant's in this area.Opening hour's are,Monday to Thursday,6pm till 2am.Friday & Saturday,2pm till 4am.Sunday,4pm till 2am.This bar is well worth a visit,just for the bottle range of beer's alone.

Was recommended to visit here by a friend upon moving into the area. Gave it a go one night midweek and really couldn't see what the fuss was about. Visited again to give it a second chance, and left annoyed. The cocktail menu is over priced for how poorly constructed it is, then there's the equally uninspiring 2-4-1 menu that even though is home printed was still mispriced. Settled for two drinks, both served in jars, and was severely disappointed at how unbalanced you can make a cocktail with only 3 ingredients. Great selection of beers, and a cool venue, but the cocktails are lacking severely

I love this bar on a weekend, so lively, busy, fab music over 3 floors. However it's such a disappointment sun-weds. Went on a Monday evening, 2 bar staff that took ages to make 4 drinks despite nobody else being at the bar and the place being empty. Got one of the drinks wrong, and the two cocktails ordered had so much gomme juice and sugars in that it was undrinkable. The music was also ridiculously loud for a Monday evening with 6 people in there! Can't hear each other talking. Despite this I do love coming here on a weekend.

took a few friends here from London, and we had a great time! not somewhere I've visited before, but the music was great for a good girlie dance!!

Good cocktails- look at the separate menu's on the bar to see which are 2-4-1. Tried them all when I was there! Music when I visited was Hip Hop and R n' B, not totally to my taste but it was fine. Two lads who seemingly own the place are nice and clearly know what they are doing. Would return.

Had excellent cocktails on the Sunday afternoon, great place with good music and staff .Would definitely go back again, good value for money too .

Came here with the girls on a night out, we intended to go in for some pre-drinks and ended up in there until the lights came on. Such a good fun, trendy vibe bar. Music was brilliant, singing and dancing to every single one that came on. Nice comfy sofas too (not like we needed them!!). Brilliant bar can't wait to go back. Definitely recommend if you're planning a night out to Lpool.

Mmmmmm... the cocktails are amazing, reasonably priced. Staff all friendly and willing to chat when possible which is a nice touch. Gaz was very entertaining, we will be back to see him again!!

Loved the venue! The couches are really comfy and they have excellent cocktails! The artwork on the walls were also really interesting!

Found myself in here on a very heavy night and really enjoyed it. Great choice of American beers and the music was great - not to mention the live saxophonist by the DJ!

good night bar staff friendly but night ended on a dissapointing note. we experienced unacceptable behavior and abuse from the bouncers. me and my friend were dragged out the toilet as they were closing, my friend suffers from bad ibs and was in the toilet. they grabbed our bags and picked us up dragged us down the stairs. really disgusting behaviour

This is the best venue on Seel Street by far, not as pretentious as the others around it, atmosphere is a lot friendlier and the music is quality.

Always hit this place on a night out with friends.Start off saying we will only stay for a few but end up glued to the dance floor til last orders. Music is BY FAR the best in town. The atmosphere is incredible also, yet to see one person not dancing and having a ball.Lovely, cool, helpful staff who graft big time and serve you with a smile. Generally 10/10 venue with loads of great beers and amazing cocktails.Most definitely worth a visit!
