Costa Coffee - Clayton Square in Liverpool

One of the best coffee shops in Liverpool very friendly staff. Yall need to ry it 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Not a great Costa. Counter service was unfriendly, and the assistant wasn't interested and wasn't listening. Coffee was weak and poorly prepared.

All good except....if you have oat milk instead of normal milk they charge you an extra 45p. Cheeky Costa....

Friendly staff, clean and tidy, very busy so not easy to get a table.

Good drinks and good quality food, pretty much what I expect from a Costa. The only real issue is it's a bit small and cramped, which means you may end up waiting in line for literally more than 10 minutes, so definitely be careful of what time or day you decide to come here unless you don't mind standing around for a long time.

Always a fantastic experience in store staff are always so helpful and friendly and will support my daughter's experience in store. She has sensory processing diagnosis so does not like music staff will turn the music off when she comes in to get her cake.

bsolutely disgusting service, A few weeks ago, I bought a cup of cappuccino and when they called me to take the cappuccino, I saw that the previous customer's lipstick mark was still on the glass and they had even sat the glass down. I hate this service

Absolutely disgusting service. Waited to order a cold cappuccino and a chilled refresher, the woman serving told me the cost and I asked my daughter to use her Costa app to get the points. App would not load as Costa has no internet. The woman rolled her eyes when I said we couldn't open the app. She said there's no internet. Then said she would give me the receipt and I could have the points another time because a queue was forming behind. I used my credit card contactlessly and asked for the receipt. She gave me a receipt and a cold coffee in a plastic cup and said I would need to wait for the refresher. After a while my daughter noticed the receipt was only for one drink a caramel coffee, which was not our order. I told the women it was not my receipt. She said I know I just gave you a random receipt, you have not paid. When I said I had paid a male member of staff said he would check. He looked at the till within asking me the amount or anything and said you haven't paid. Clearly I paid. At this point i felt upset at the wait and at being given a random receipt for no reason. We left. Never returning and will be contacting my credit company regarding the transaction. Disgusting service. Go there at your petrol.

The coffee maker was so rude and ignorant however all the other staff were lovely and helpful. The coffees are gorgeous

Absolutely love this Costa. Ive been visiting a few costas recently and this is my favourite so far. I totally recommend the wraps and toasties. My favourite drinks are the frappes. Staff were quick and polite making the drinks well too. We were in a bit of a rush and a daze as we went in, but the staff let us take our time. Some very comfortable indoor seats, outdoor seats are avaliable, but can get wet with the rain.

Up,out and about on a dull,rainy July day ,our summers are magnificent aren't they ,my twin brother and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre to visit some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for ,we decided to drop into this Costa Coffee outlet before hitting the pubs ,been here before on many occasions, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit I like the look of this Costa Coffee, interior is superb, modern, light and airy, lovely decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Clayton Square. We sat outside after getting a cappuccino coffee each, these were served steaming hot, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. A big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee, its consistant in all their outlets and their cappuccino coffee is a particular favourite of mine, my twin brother also gave me a thumbs up to his coffee. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to this particular Costa Coffee we had a great time. This Costa Coffee is easy to locate on Clayton Square. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 6.30am till 7.30pm. Sunday, 8am till 6pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I stood at the lower bar for 5 minutes waiting to be served being ignored by the chap behind, I was eventually told to go to the upper bar. Service there was great and the food was really good

Lovley mac and cheese as well as lovley staff who helped with as well as that quick service probably as its mid day but still lovley and also gave me a head up on my food order would come here again 5/5

Came in for a porridge, skinny latte and tea. Porridge was like it hadn't been cooked properly. Put more milk and water and still disgusting. Latte has to be the worst one I've seen. Staff looked at me as if I was from another planet. No help whatsoever. Girl who made latte looked like she didn't want to be there.

What makes this location so good is the staff. Although it is run by a big corporation, the staff make you feel as though it were an independent cafe with care and love put into every coffee.

Just had a coffee when visited Costa. Quite busy was able to find seat, staff busy and some staff cleaning tables. No problems with service but needs to be a little brighter

A modern Costa Coffee outlet, interior is light and airy, glass fronted serving counters showcase the goodies on offer, nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this Costa Coffee both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling shopping streets around this cafe. We ordered a flat white coffee each, these were served steaming hot, we just kicked back and planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. A big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee, its consistant in all their outlets and their flat white coffee is a particular favourite of mine, hardly surprising that this cafe is so popular with coffee of this quality. Usually my favourite costa however probably won't return considering for some reason they refuse to serve cold drinks 15 minutes before closing? Just lost a regular customer for the sake of a faster close so well done x

Great way to break up the day and love stopping off here for a quick coffee on my lunch break. Good range of coffees, cakes and sandwiches and more affordable than Starbucks. Always quick, efficient service and they wished me happy bday here when I used my free cake code which was great. Store is a bit cramped for space but always take out anyway. Accessibility isn't great as you would struggle to get through with a pram or wheelchair if there's a queue. Disabled toilet on site also with seating areas outside too. Well located in L'pool city centre 5mins away from Lime St and nearby parking available in St John's.

Always a pleasure going for a coffee n cake at Costa.

If the cakes get any smaller you will need tweezers. Coffee over priced.

I have left a review before regarding this particular Costa. I don't mind leaving another review because the coffee is always on point! Made with love and the staff are a true delight to encounter ❤️ visit them and you'll have a nice experience whether you're staying in or taking away.

Absolutely diabolical! I ordered food, the amount of £17.00 and only a coffee and cake arrived!!!! No sandwich or croissant. Ordered again and the same happened again. No lunch or dinner all for 34.00

My food wasn’t even edible the delivery driver spilt it everywhere the lids had not been placed on properly

I don't usually do chain coffee shops but lovely coffee and really lovely staff and I had a really nice hour sitting outside on Clayton square watching the world go by while my partner had an eye test in boots x

The best Costa in city centre. Staff all lovely and really hard working. Manager very cheerful and welcoming. They do a lovely flat white. It's a pleasure to have my coffee there daily.

Called into Costa in Clayton sq while shopping in Liverpool. Not many places to sit inside as tables littered with dirty dishes. After moving some onto a tray found a table. Disabled toilet out of service , not that I needed it but there was a lady in a wheelchair that had to be helped up steps to the other one. Not good! Had my coffee and left as people standing around inside waiting for seats. Not sure I'll be back at this one again, I'll use the next one in future.

Cannot fault the guys working here this morning, they helped me with a promotional offer and explained in depth (including showing the drinks cups) the sizes and ingredients so I could choose my preferred drink. The drink was perfect temperature, delicious and served super quickly. I ordered a caramel latte and can fully recommend them for a caffeine boost with a hint of sweetness. The foam on top is really luxurious too. :)) The positive attitude of both baristas made me feel as if I was no trouble at all and they had plenty of time to serve me, I felt welcomed and valued this morning and it put me in a great mood for work! Love you, Costa crew ❤️

If you like your coffee it's a good place could do with a revamp.

I mean, it's a Costa. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is due to certain staff being fairly snappy and arguably rude to me - but I'd put that down to it being early in the morning. Overall, it's a great place to pop into for a quick coffee - or cold drink, or snack. There's actually a fairly large selection of products!

What's not to love ....brilliant coffee in a really lovely location. I've given this 4 stars as the staff could do with improving customer service by smiling or being more welcoming

Lovely experience visiting the Costa great staff, very polite, wasn't too busy and sat outside in the sunshine 🌞 I've been to Costas before but get the weather and there's a great view of st John's beacon (radio city tower!) I had the vegan BBQ chicken and it was really good actually! Location wise it's right in the heart of Liverpool and literally less then a minutes walk to Liverpool central, about 5 min walk to lime St!

Visited to get hot chocolate but found out in shop that the there hot chocolate is not vegan even with plant milk. I ordered a jasmine tea instead but they had ran out of that so they gave me green tea instead. The staff were helpful and they looked up the dietary requirements for me. Staff weren't wearing masks (properly) and people queued inside.

With the 3rd national lockdown eminent my twin brother Stephen and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre, the intention was to visit some of the great pubs that our city possesses and what makes Liverpool such an exciting city to visit, we decided to drop into this Costa Coffee as we were heading to Lanigans Irish Pub and what a great time we had.We gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system on our N.H.S covid app on our phones, we sanitised our hands and ordered a cola for my brother and a flat white coffee for me ,order was processed in no time at all, we were allocated a table were we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great Costa coffee cafe we were in. My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve, it was just so good being in such a lovely cafe enjoying a quality brew. We both really enjoyed our drinks in here ,had a great time as always before we moved on .This Costa Coffee is easy to locate on Clayton Square. A wonderful Costa Coffee outlet, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Costa Coffee in Clayton Square is a coffee shop that offer a great range of drinks and light snacks.Costa Coffee was established in Dunstable in 1971 by two brothers and it now has many coffee-shops across the Uk and Europe/Asia and Africa/Middle East.This Costa Coffee is located in a shopping centre in Clayton Square and is a fantastic coffee-shop to visit in the city centre.It has a typical Costa Coffee look and feel with a nice interior with good seating options and excellent outside seating options and very friendly staff. We visited here the day after the lockdown ended and was the second Costa Coffee I visited on this day.After we gave our track and trace details we ordered a few bottles of Coca Cola lights which were well priced and very refreshing.I don't normally visit more than one Costa Coffee in one day but with the restrictions on the pubs and bars it is a nice change to go to different places were you can get an excellent drink or snack and I would highly recommend this Costa Coffee as the staff were superb as was the location.Very easy to find from Central train station you cross the road into Clayton Square and its on the right at the end of the shopping centre.(This is my first review of Costa Coffee in Clayton Square).Opening Hours. We sat inside after a long morning of shopping, the covid rules where completely adhered to.after our coffee & snack, I asked the staff if I could get a piece of carrot 🥕 cake to take away. I was given the cake free courtesy of Costa coffee. What a great gesture thank you

I love the look of this Costa Coffee, a cosy interior, a long glass fronted serving bar, great decor and furnishings including lots of coffee posters adorning the walls, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this Costa Coffee both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling shopping streets. We were here on a Saturday morning, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we ordered a cappuccino coffee each and payed contactless, after a short wait our coffee's arrived steaming hot ,we just kicked back, chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve in this Costa Coffee outlet, this was our 2nd Costa coffee outlet we visited having previously enjoyed a flat white coffee in their Costa Coffee outlet in Kirkby Town Centre before catching the train down to Liverpool city centre. Always popular so inside seating will be difficult but service is handled with a smile so one star for that.Plenty of space outside for those wanting service in warm weather or prepared to brave a cooler climate.

A lovely young lady served me today, so I would give her 10/10 coffee was lovely, but the toilet was horrible so that's why I gave it 3 stars
