We went here for breakfast this morning and it was terrible it was fatty we had the burger breakfast bacon sausage egg cheese two hash browns and everything was burnt and greasy like deep fried 🤮 never again

Came for our annual meet up with the girls was met by a lovely girl called Clare lovely bubbly personality made us feel so welcome and catered for our needs .Makes a difference being welcomed by a lovely person made our visit a whole lot better clearly happy in her job .Very professional and accommodating. Stayed at lot longer as was lovely atmosphere due to Clare .Thanks

Understaffed. Meaning long waits to get served at the bar , item missing from the meal, I ordered tables not cleaned or cleared. The staff do go above and beyond to provide a good service

Typical British food for me, great food even if a colleague had to wait a long time and his steak was raw, but the toilets are catastrophic, so I haven't seen several used condoms in the toilet here myself

Come for tea after work, ordered our food which come out quickly (starters come with mains even tho we’d ordered them as starters) but we’re still waiting for drinks. Asked the guy who brought our food to follow up where our drinks were. Still waiting 45 mins later after we’d ate… went back down again to ask for our drinks and still didn’t receive them. Won’t be back🙃

Mi hermano gemelo y yo estábamos en pubs y bares dando vueltas por esta parte de la ciudad cuando decidimos pasar por Yates, hemos estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un bar de gran aspecto ubicado en un edificio de aspecto fresco, una decoración y mobiliario maravillosos, un bar de servicio llamativo, pantallas grandes para disfrutar del deporte y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este bar, es solo un bar realmente bueno para relajarse. Estábamos aquí en una noche fría y lluviosa de noviembre, el bar estaba ocupado con un gran ambiente, la bienvenida era cálida por la camarera, pedimos una sidra Strongbow cada uno, estos se sirven en excelentes condiciones siendo helado frío y espumoso, agarramos una mesa donde nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este bar ocupado y popular mientras bebíamos nuestras sidras. La sidra aquí estaba muy bien, tan refrescante, tan sabroso, era tan bueno estar en un bar tan encantador disfrutando de una deliciosa sidra y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestras sidras aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a Yates nos lo pasamos muy bien. Yates es fácil de localizar a lo largo y en la Plaza de las Reinas. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto de 9 am. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

Went in here for lunch with family , the food is terrible !!! How they can serve it up is beyond me , The staff were pleasant enough and the wine was ok ! Not many people in there and I can understand why , Just go somewhere else if you want to eat !!!

Updated: have been in two times recently and want to update the review. Tap drinks are still awful, if you must order, make it a bottled beer. Morning clientele are awful. There is always an annoying lad going around annoying people, shouting loudly at the fruit machine, trying to annoy customers, and getting sick in the disabled jacks in the main bar with the door open (literally feet from customers trying to eat the not terrible/not great breakfast) .... staff do nothing to stop him, he is a pest. I assume they aren't paid enough to deal with him, or owns the place. Previous review: It's the Yates experience. Staff are very nice food is cheap and you get exactly what you pay for. Cocktails are fun but the beer, no matter which tap, is always poor.

Came in for lunch on way back from the museum. Nice interior and caters well for kids with colouring for them to do. Easy to order from the table and food selection is good and came out quickly. Only paid about £30 for a lunch for three people which is very reasonable. Food was good too.

Went for two for £20 I had fish and chips which was overcooked and dry with dry chips, my son had a cheese and bacon burger, we asked for no sauce on the burger and it came with sauce which he scraped off. The burger was dry and overcooked, the buns were black and burnt on the inside. We opted for waffles as an extra which were Rock hard and overdone. All this and we waited for 45 minutes, there was hardly anyone in there...not impressed, if I'd had time Iwe would have left the food and asked for a refund.

Booked a table for F1 Qualifying. I was an hour late and my friends didn't make it. The barman turned the sound up for me. I spent the deposit on food. Came back later in the evening to watch the boxing. The same amazing barman was still going. They turned the sound on for us before they left. Good place to watch sport.

Popped in today for lunch today with my mum after a bit of shopping to get out of the rain and wow what a deal they have on food 2 starters and 2 mains and 2 drinks for £20 great value and our waitress Clare was very chatty and looked after us. Next time we’re in Liverpool we will be back

Lovely place. Good food and surroundings. Went to toilet before leaving to find around 15 kids (male and female) congregated in the ladies toilets and most of them didn't look old enough. They were vaping and had blocked every single toilet with toilet roll. Walked out in disgust after spending £40 on food and drink and not being able to use a toilet. Thr bar staff simply said "nothing I can do about it" with a shrug. As a visitor to this city, I won't be returning to Yates.

Had a lovely time in Yates, was there for a family meal and the service from Amy and James was incredible. The food was delicious even asked for the chefs name so hats off to Owen for some tasty food. Would 100% come again.

Visit yates with a group to watch the football and have a few drinks, loved the place! Ended up having some food too and made the most out off the 2-4-1 cocktails! Staff very helpful and friendly definitely will be back again!

Came in to play pool and get some small plates , was served by Amy service made me feel welcome and we enjoyed some food while playing .

Came in for breakfast after a suit fitting for a wedding so quite a large group. Ordered food on the app to be told quite rudely at the bar after getting a drink they don't bring anything upstairs. Quite embarrassing situation for everyone as we had to split up the large group we had onto three tables downstairs then change all the orders to new tables. Breakfast turned up dry as if it had been sat under the halogen lamp for a long time.

The food is good but the service is horrible, the tables were dirty and we asked the waiter to clean them and he refused .

Meal was poor they gave you your food then made us wait 10mins before telling us we had to get our own cutlery and condiments and was dead as a dodo and played nfl on all the screens

All round atmosphere is lovely, nice & friendly staff, but me and my boyfriend decided to enjoy our pints outside in the beer garden, next minute there’s a rat crawling underneath our feet, absolutely horrified! Shame as we were thinking about coning back for food the next day, think we’ll give it a miss. The pub itself is 4/5 stars but the rat situation completely changed our view on this place.

Visiting from out of the area and stumbled across Yates. Regardless of which part of the country I’ve found myself in, I’ve always found a decent meal in a Yates. I had a lovely full English, hot, tasty and great value for similar in the area. Great service by Wade on the bar and delicious food created by chef Claire. We will definitely be visiting again.

Food was great and very reasonably priced, staff were excellent and the place has a cool vibe to it.

My wife and I have made several visits to this bar,and find the staff are welcoming and friendly,we have been served by a young lady called Chloe on quiet a few occasions,she was so helpful and has a fantastic knowledge of the drinks and food available,we only wanted a few drinks and nothing was too much trouble for her,we will visit again soon and hopefully be served once again by the wonderful Chloe.

Average experience here. Came on a Thursday night which was relatively quiet. Wait times for food were tolerable at best and the burger really wasn't up to much. Had to go up to the bar after waiting for 30 mins once we finished our food and ask for our table to be cleared and that we were ready for dessert. Dessert was about on par. Suppose it's a case of "you get what you pay for". Did this on the 2 for £20 deal but wouldn't pay more for it. Needs improvement.

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, located in a top notch location right in Liverpool city centre! The sports bar theme has fancy lights and the usual decorations, counter is well-presented too. I really appreciated the leather seating and grabbed a Coors, using a clean round table!

Nothing bad to say about the staff (they were nice and helpful) - but they’ve clearly been instructed by the greedy owner to use corporate charging banks if you ask to charge your mobile phone. £6 it cost does it have its own power station? 🤡 corporate greed over customer service. Didn’t have breakfast here and was another sting in the wallet after breaking down near Liverpool.

This place had my head messed up. Looks like a normal pub good fun music cocktails however, The food here is next level..like a 5 star Michelin but in pub grub. We had 3 plates of wings. Unreal. I had the mac bbq burger. Honestly best burger I've even had. Staff are great. And the pints on draft are fresh unlike a few places around the ares. Highly recommended.

Handy if you want a bus .station just at entrance never seen anyone eating here ?

My son and his friends sat upstairs ordered food to be told can they sit down stairs but they preffered upstairs with less crowd as my son suffers from PTSD anyway they was told when food is ready they will have to come downstairs to get it them selves and to bring down there plates once finished they never brought there plates back down and shouldnt be expected i would of left them myself what happened to friendly customer service your paid to do a job dont expect customers to do your job for you

Menus were covered in food and drink, they hadn't been wiped in weeks.. we ordered online.. drinks and food came out quick but the service was just putting the drinks and food on the table.. no check back.. the mac and cheese had a burnt lump in it.. chips were warm, steak was OK.. burger was dry, onion rings were not cooked to order.. then to top it off the local tea leaf came in with a carrier bag of "freshly stolen perfume".. his words not mine..

Mixed grill x2 both was really bad. The meats were all dried out and hard. Food not eaten - explained to manger James Nichols about the food and he was not a sorry and said to leave a review. What kind of manger training is that!! Next table were Vaping through out and the manager allowed it, he never said a word. Absolutely discussing food and poor service for managers response to this problem. Will be notifying head office. Waste money!
