There's a cafe at Birkacre (5min walk) which is better service and better food. The place needs a revamp and training in service.

Decided to write a review because for the third time we have come all the way from Penwortham for the chips which are amazing and they say they have run out! Seems to me it’s young staff who can’t be bothered cutting and cooking more chips - how can you run out at 12.20pm? Sad because we probably won’t bother again as the disappointment and consequent search for chips on a Sunday lunchtime is too much!

Very nice cafe but toilets a bit grim. The cakes and brownies are good but terrifyingly expensive. Coffee was a bit weak. Liked the fact they have oat milk, salad and slaw too oniony for me but omelette was ok but, as usual, too expensive. Chips in a basket looked very nice - wish I’d had those. Ice creams lovely.

Just came back from taking my family lunch here. A really lovely park caff near in the Yarrow Bridge Park near Chorley. Excellent value c.£40 for 3 adults and a kid to eat and drink and lots of ice cream flavours including S’mores! As I am the world’s most awkward customer diet wise the kitchen was super keen to make me something off the menu in the absence of any GF options. The food was at the table within a couple of minutes of our derrières hitting the cherrieres!

The Yarrow Valley park has free parking and it's available for several dozens of spaces. If you walk to or from this park, please take care of the steeper hill on the Birkacre road. I slipped and fell on this road. Even with walking boots. The leafs, rain, the hill slope and smooth tarmac made this accident occur. In this park building is a loo too. This cafe is a nice treat after or before your walk within the grounds of the Yarrow Valley park. The cafe is compact and has a low limit of how many punters it could handle. It can open after 10.30 in winter times. Usually sooner when warmer seasons. I can treat myself to buy an ice-cream in the warm weather. In the colder times I can treat myself occasionally with a scone with cream and jam and a mug of tea. This scone and tea is £3 cheaper than the equivalent in Astley Park Ambio cafe.

What’s to review. This place has gone down hill and the drain drastically. The staff look like they don’t want to be there. They are rude and the food is no longer quality ingredients. First the positive. The staff were very friendly. No complaints there. Unfortunately that was the only thing positive about the place. Ordered a Ham and mustard sandwich on brown bread with a salad garnish. The sandwich arrived and what a sorry thing it was. A piece of cheap ham slice between 2 slices of thin low quality bread. No salad so the replacement was a few crisps added to the side of the plate. Cost 4.40 poorest value I have had in a long time. The toilets were also in a poor state. In need of a good clean and some maintenance. All in all very poor. Avoid.

Rude staff. After waiting 40 minutes for food that I was told would be brought outside to the benches as it was for everyone else still hadn’t arrived. So I mentioned to the lady at the till to follow it up, she apologised and said things had been mixed up and it had been prepared as an inside order, she would chase it up. 10 minutes later a gentleman rudely slammed my panni down on the side “there it is” I said oh I’m really sorry I ordered chips too. He said “there it is” I said my order had chips also. He proceeded to shout at me telling me my order had been shouted four times. Well sitting outside I’m not sure I would have heard it being shouted, I was told it would be brought out to me. He again proceeded to shout “no, no that’s not right”… I witnessed 5 others have food delivered outside, not sure why mine was different and when it finally arrived the order was wrong and rudely delivered!! I asked for a full refund and left the shop. Shocking, shocking service. Customers in the que commented on how rude and disgusting the behaviour was that they witnessed. Definitely won’t be returning, pop up the road to the garden centre one and avoid at all costs.

This place is OK! I would visit again when visiting the park. But won’t rave about it to anyone I know. The coffee was quite nice but could have been served in a bigger cup! However I also had a scone and this tasted ‘on the turn to’ stale! The prices are very reasonable (which is why I hate the scone and said nothing) the couple of staff I saw were both very friendly! Sitting inside I got a waiting room vibe due to the colouring of the walls. Maybe something hung on the walls would lift the place!

£7.50 for a full breakfast which consisted of 2 bacon, 2 sausage, fried egg, mushrooms, tomato, beans, hash brown, French toast and a slice of toast with a tea/coffee. Sounds good… Well the bacon was that hard I couldn’t cut it with a knife, sausages tasted ok, beans looked like they had been simmering for a while (thick) and the French toast was missing! Honestly it was a waste of money! However the cafe itself is lovely and dog friendly 😊.

Today I Approached a man who seemed to be working at tree face cafe , he was accompanied by a younger man . to ask if I could use the lavatory as I had been locked out of my vehicle, this man was extremely rude and and almost thought it was funny as I was very upset. His attitude was so nasty when I had simply asked to use the rest room . At that point I got hysterical and walked away. It’s a shame for the young man who seemed to be very quiet and almost intimidated by this horrible man. I think the owners need to be aware of this as this member of staff or maintenance worker clearly has no respect for your business and your customers . I wouldn’t return to this cafe because of this horrible experience. I’ve been to this cafe plenty of times and had no issues but this rude man has definitely made me think twice about returning.
