The talbot is what ppl would class as 'my local' I don't go in often but nipped for a sunny evening stroll this week and called in. The ambience is classy and friendly staff. I just wish the food menu was more extensive as we used to eat there quite a lot when the menu was more varied. All in all lovely pub definitely worth a visit.

This popular Euxton pub has gone through many changes over the years, but remains a popular watering hole for the local area. Good choice of 4 hand pulled beers , lagers and ciders. Large 2 level public area and tap room all with disabled access. There is a large beer garden to the rear with a kids area, and an area to the front (roadside). If you are a sports fan there are plenty of screens around the place. It's a welcoming pub and well worth a visit.

First time eating here as we were just in the area for the day, we live approximately 35 miles away but I will definitely be returning. Food was impeccable, and the staff were amazing. I would add some photos but I only have a video of the food and it won't let me upload it 😔 The burgers were delicious and the fries were something else, the prices were absolutely spot on (if not a little cheap for the quality of the food) Keep up the good work 💪🏻

This place has been through a number of attempts to reposition itself, now it seems a poor attempt at a sports bar with untrained staff. No food is offered and the staff seem happier to talk amongst themselves than offer a decent customer service.

Barman served local customer (who came in after us) first. Then had a conversation with people at pool table in another room whilst serving us. No please or thanks either! Welcome to The Talbot it was not!

Brought the family for a Saturday night out at the Talbot, as we had some events to celebrate and were lucky enough to win their latest competition for their Adele Tribute Night. Great night, great atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive. Thank you Talbot! Can't comment on it as a restaurant, but certainly seemed a popular, friendly local. Planning to return for the quiz night.

always looks quite busy, particularly at weekends, been in a few times, but not somewhere we could sit all afternoon at. the road is busy, therefore when it's a nice day , sitting outside isn't the best, as it is consistent traffic noise. could do with more than the usual one guest ale on at a time too. on the plus side, owners spend a lot of effort on trying different events and staff are always pleasant and friendly. great for watching football or if you are in your twenties.

Ordered BLT with crisps and salad but the crisps were actually Nachos? Since when do dry Nachos become crisps? You could even say Tortilla chips. Was told they don’t have crisp even though crisps are advertised. The BLT was nice but really thin bread which was a little disappointing and got £13 for 2 and 1 Latte it was expensive. Was told someone would go for crisps if we wanted but that wasn’t what we wanted. Could have been so much more. Such a nice pub otherwise

The food arrived cold and nothing like its description. The response from the staff team member was really kind and apologetic. Sadly despite the managers of the pub and their area / regional managers being sat nearby they offered no support or apology , simply carried on planning their upcoming event and how they needed to " maximise revenue" Holding a meeting in the general eating area to discuss "units" and "maximum profit items" with dissatisfied customers complaining within earshot seems a strange marketing strategy , as well as odd way to improve atmosphere , if I wanted to sit in a business planning meeting I would have stayed at work

The positives nice clean pub, friendly staff and family's welcome. The negatives, the food. I had soup and a sandwich which was on soggy bread and luke warm soup that wasn't very tasty. My husband had burger and chips. He said the burger was ok but the chips where very greasy and very over cooked. The onion rings just pure oil. It's was quite cheap but I would rather pay a little more and enjoy my food.

Called for a quick meal , very dissapointed food very greasy , burger was burnt round the edges the bun was equally burnt and bun very dry , pointed the concern out to staff but didnt seem concerned , the way our concern was dealt with probably put us off the most , first and last time we will visit here as there is a lot of lovely places around the area , shame as the pub is nice !

Visited today for lunch with a friend, we both ordered the lasagna chips and garlic bread. Service was slightly slow, but he did come and apologise, which was fine. When the food arrived it was terrible, Couldn’t make my mind up whether it was cottage pie or lasagna, it was very greasy, the pasta was slimy and the cheese was burnt and solid like it was days old. The chips were greasy and full of fat. The garlic bread was so stale we couldn’t even bite through it. Sent both meals back, I wasn’t even offered an replacement meal, straight away the staff instantly offered me a full refund. Sorry but the worst meal I’ve ever had, won’t be returning

Out for a walk, the pub we intended calling at for lunch was shut. In turn two further local pubs that we walked onto were also closed (Monday lunchtime). So, by the time we reached Euxton (....and The Talbot) we were hungry and ready for a break. Have driven past The Talbot thousands of times and noticed recently that it had had a facelift but would never have thought about going in there. Although the menu looked a bit uninspiring (i.e., not the sort of food that would be cooked fresh on the premises), when the food arrived it was very nicely done. The surroundings were smart, comfortable and pleasant and my partner was impressed by the choice of beers. The staff were great. The bill was also extremely reasonable as there was an offer on to reduce the price of two meals. So, thank you! A very positive experience. If I was out and about and needed a bite to eat I would certainly recommend The Talbot.

We visited the newly refurbished Talbot pub recently with friends for a meal .The food and service was prompt and very tasty .Plenty of choice on the menu and nicely presented . The staff where very friendly .The decor and furnishings are all new and very comfortable ,there is also television screens to watch the sport and some booths with TV screens where you can access childrens programmes which is very useful if you have young children with you .The evening we were there was quiz night which was clearly popular and busy .We will definitely go again for a meal in the near future .

Just came back from taking my family lunch here. A really lovely park caff near in the Yarrow Bridge Park near Chorley. Excellent value c.£40 for 3 adults and a kid to eat and drink and lots of ice cream flavours including S’mores! As I am the world’s most awkward customer diet wise the kitchen was super keen to make me something off the menu in the absence of any GF options. The food was at the table within a couple of minutes of our derrières hitting the cherrieres!
