Great little pub with a nice patio and garden to the rear, looking over the river and meadows from high up.

Friendly local cafe. Excellent coffee.

A lovely place to have some lunch. The food, the staff and coffee are lovely and a cut above anything else in this area. A wonderful stainglass window creates a lovely light inside. Such a shame to learn it's going and I wish the staff the best of luck because they are all great.

We were there last Friday on the recommendation of the hostess of the accommodation where we stayed in Hoylake. But what a disappointment. When I asked for a menu, we had to get it further down the aisle. An unclearly detailed menu with a poorly readable font. You have to order at the bar yourself. When I asked if there was a toilet, I was somewhat irritated and pointed to the other side of the room. Very unclear, because the door behind the toilet says private. The toilet didn't look great either and the store didn't look very clean everywhere either. I personally had a pesto chicken sandwich, which was a bit bland in taste and I only got rid of the bread after chewing for a long time. It was nice that there was still some arugula on the plate so that you could add a little more spice to your sandwich. But price quality leaves much to be desired. And they didn't seem very customer friendly either. In any case, we won't be coming back here again

i had a jalfriezi never expected patak sauce i took some home and a man that likes currys said the same its pataks it was awful, the nans where bought from Booths over the road same as the mango sauce and and sour cream mint sauce, then to top it off they had this annoying music on modern day waling i could not wait to get out,

Paid £4.40 for an almond latte. Burnt milk and as a result a flavourless coffee. Absolutely unwelcoming and cold environment. Couldn’t stay there with my laptop as I was freezing. Waste of money. If you like industrial alternative type of things you might like it. But this place needs attention and some cleaning - too messy ! To top it up they don’t have soy milk!

My wife and I went for a trip to Lowther Castle and Gardens with the in-laws, and after such awful weather we decided to travel to Cockermouth to treat ourselves to the excellent Fredricks which we've visited many times before. We started with the seafood platter / selection with a portion of chips for the young one. It's a great selection of items for fish lovers! After, we ordered some lovely main dishes, enough for 3 adults and 2 kids (1 kids meal of pizza and chips!) Lovely meal to end of evening. Will be back when next in the area.

I really enjoy the quizzes on a Thursday night, with Jordan being a great host. I ordered Korean chicken and salt and pepper fries. Both were freshly made and delicious.

Overnight stay as a couple in our group had been before and enjoyed. However, after their 2nd stay they would not come again. We were part of the group and thought the standard of cleanliness …particularly in our bathroom (of a ‘signature’ room) was horrendous and totally unacceptable. Mould all around the bath on silicone, dirty stained shower curtain, and mould under the metal bath handles, dirty radiator and skirtings and generally unclean. Whilst dining in the dining room cobwebs and spider over one person in the party’s head! The food was poor, one meal was refunded due to quality. Standard of hygiene needs addressing as a matter of priority

Lovely presented pub in Silverdale village, surrounded by shops etc, very nice outside seating food was mainly pies I think but was only passing for a quick drink

Nice relaxed restaurant. Waiters attentive but not overbearing.

Was such a great experience. My first time there and was on match day for the derby. Full of United fans and made me feel welcome and was an amazing atmosphere... YANITEDDDDDD ❤🔴❤
