Perfect service and the best Rocky Road ever! My daughter chose a Toast voucher as part of her birthday present as she loves coming so much ❤️

The title says it all really. Young staff who are probably not well trained but unacceptable wait and no sense at all of the expected pace of a coffee shop. Nice selection of cakes but coffee not great.

Based in West Kirby station this cafe serves light lunches, cakes and drinks at reasonable prices. The food is of a good standard and a nice place to stop off for a light lunch or coffee and cake.

We visited the Heswall shop, good grief, why did we have to wait 15 minutes for two coffees ! Seem to be doing everything but make coffee.

This lovely cafe seems to have forgotten the importance of their customers. Could we have a small jug of boiling water (to water down our coffee). Yes sir that will be £1. Disgusting!!

First time here superb coffee and bacon on toast. Staff very polite if im back here over the water i will defo call in again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easily in the top three coffee shops on Merseyside. As a fairly frequent visitor, and fan of their coffee, I can say the coffee is always excellently made and the cakes are, I think better than elsewhere. The staff are always friendly and have a great bond with the regulars.

Walking round the town, chose it as it was near (in!) the station. Quick round of bacon sandwiches and coffee, all excellent.

My friend and I came here yesterday. I believe the manager served us (she was wearing a black outfit with a beige cap) and she was absolutely delightful. I ordered a gluten free Brie and cranberry toasted sandwich and my friend ordered a tuna and cheese toasted panini. We sat at a table at the back and staff members constantly put other orders on our table so that they could open the doors as it was a busy period and lots of people were sat outside. At one point I went up to the counter to ask where the toilets were and all of the staff members (except the nice lady at the start who wasn’t there) just looked at me and carried on doing what they were doing. The Brie and cranberry toasted sandwich I had tasted so disgusting that I couldn’t eat it. It genuinely tasted like vomit. My friend and I have woken up this morning and my friend has severe food poisoning. She keeps throwing up tuna, and the only tuna she ate yesterday was the tuna and cheese panini from this cafe. We were meant to be attending a big event today and now cannot go due to how poorly my friend is.

We popped in here for a coffee and a bite for breakfast. Found the snacks and drinks perfect, plus the service was outstanding. Very friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

Great service and the ham and cheese bagel was brilliant for a before work snack, however the frappe (whilst still good) was a bit too thick had to start using my straw to scoop it up like a slush 😅. Would recommend though!!

Good coffee, bad toast. Ironically. Burned around the edges, two tiny pieces of bacon that barely filled half the piece of bread. For £4.60! Staff were slightly on the rude side too. Not awful, but a bit curt and quite dismissive of my 11 year old who was trying to be polite.

Regularly visited Toast after my midwife appts and always have always loved it but since having my baby have loved it even more! Such a kind and welcoming atmosphere with lovely accommodating staff coming to check on me whilst breastfeeding and never judging when baby cries. They do lovely toasties, hot chocolates, smoothies and cakes! 😋 thank you for always being so kind and going the extra mile!

Lovely place good food and service but, the toilet is disgusting. Dirty, smells of urine, lots of debris on toilet. Floor dirty. And it next to the service counter. Really needs a good paint and clean.

Toast is my 'go-to' when I'm in West Kirby, usually for a brunch & coffee. It's friendly, the coffee's good, the Brie & Cranberry Panini is so nice ... and the home-baked cakes are really tempting. On top of that, it has the coolest soundtrack I've had the pleasure of listening to! Sit in, sit out, dog-friendly. Returning soon!

Grubby is the word for this place with surly staff and rip off prices A shot of coffee advertised at 65 pence is charged at almost £4 when served as iced coffee. The ice is charged at £3.35. KEEP AWAY.

We stopped here after walking around the lake, lovely hot chocolate, cappuccino and tiffin. We sat outside as we had our dog with us, loved inside, really rustic and my daughter's would love the milkshake bar, so will definitely return with them soon.

Lovely local business. Having moved away from West Kirby almost 10 years ago I always make time to go to Toast when I am up visiting friends or family. The coffee and cakes are amazing and you can sit outside too. Would highly recommend the tiffin and Rocky road. The vibe is relaxed and you can easily watch the world go by. There are a few comments below around the staff being rude but I have never personally experienced this. The staff and owners always seem to be friendly and attentive in a busy environment.

Will not be going again.....extremely rude woman missed out items on our order, never apologised, basically said we hadn't ordered them and was very condescending. People on the table next to us had a similar issue with the same woman. Word of advice...... people don't like being spoken to like that - just RUDE!

Coffee was good and usual price. Nicely decorated. Friendly staff and a loyalty scheme. Only downside was music felt like it was there to entertain the staff it was that loud, could barely talk which destroyed any relaxing ambiance.

I was just in about 5 minutes ago, and ordered a latte and cake to go. I was given a discount, which I presumed was a deal on takeaway (eg no tax on takeaway food). The woman who served me presumed I worked for Merseyrail and when I told her I didn't she became irate at the fact she'd given me the discount, as if it was my fault. I explained I work locally and wanted to support a local business, and asked for a loyalty card. In front of other customers behind me she explained that she'd accidentally given me a sizeable discount that I shouldn't have taken and as such wasn't eligible for a loyalty card, and made a point of making me feel as though I'd ripped them off. The latte and walnut cake were really nice, and if it wasn't for the embarrassing customer service I'd be back. The cake was really good.

Looks to be a place where old folk take root for hours at a time. Can't blame them I guess - the seating is comfy, the coffee good and hot, and the apple crumble very tasty. Staff, unlike most of their customers, were young, fit and friendly!

We just love Toast, they have a super selection of sandwiches, cakes and drinks. The Cafe is perfectly located by the station for some people watching or a chat with friends. Locally made cakes and scones are an absolute treat. There is always a warm welcome from TEAM TOAST.

This is a nice little coffee shop attached to the side of west kirby train station. The choice of food is limited to sandwiches and cakes. The drinks consist of hot drinks, cold drinks and milkshakes. The coffee was excellent as was the cheese toastie and toast.

Toast- a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by, made even more special by drinking the great cofee and eating the best Tiffin in the world served by friendly accommodating staff.

Went on Saturday, Coffee was fine but on the way out went to the toilet it was very dirty .l won't be going back again .3 staff on one could have cleaned it .also all the plants need repotting if you care so much about them look after them!

We visit here at least once a week. We know the menu inside out but the quality and freshness never falters. The staff care, they are more than a coffee shop and that’s what I love most about Toast. I’ve called through orders in advance...

This café is situated next to the railway station. It’s clientele is probably mostly over 50 but the staff are all youngsters and very good at keeping on top of things. We went on a nice sunny day and sat outside next to the road. Good for people watching. There are a lot of tables inside too with a variety of seating types. There is also another semi outside area, which is not outdoors but under the glass roof of the station. Good for if it’s cold or raining but you still want some daylight. The coffee was very good. There is a huge choice of cakes….extra large portions I would say, but I don’t complain about that! I think they also do sandwiches and savoury stuff.

Went today while visiting friend, no hygiene whatsoever the cook touch everything with bare hands no blue gloves while she touched everything else round her! Absolutely disgusting over priced with no hygiene ☹
