Our first time here, we, as a family have found a new haunt. This staff were fabulous, the place is clean, food is unreal. Fantastic service and such a lovely place!

I don't mean to be dramatic here but we've just left after walking past on a Saturday afternoon and trying our luck for a table, that was up there with one of the nicest meals out we've ever had. Seriously SO GOOD. We got 5 small plates and two meals for the kids and even got a doggy bag to take home for family to try. 10/10 amazing.

It’s ok for drink but food way overpriced

The vegetarian platter was a delightful surprise. A nice collection of beautifully presented hot food. Service excellent. A great lunch thank you.

The staff are very attentive but the food was average. Ordered the Bang Bang chicken salad that consisted of cold chicken in a satay sauce with chopped carrot and cucumber. The chilli was very bland and found the whole food experience underwhelming.

The Wro trades on former glory which is long lost. Both the place itself as well as much of its clientele are the "all fur coat and no knickers" type. A pretend classy is what it is. Menu (with a few exceptions) consists mostly of deep fried beige food. Nothing looked truly appetizing, all very average. It's OK for a drink on the terrace when the sun is out, but there's much better places to eat, with better atmosphere than this.

Popped in for a drink after the walk. Had a good time here with my friends.

Popular wine bar, one of the few pubs and restaurants to get some sun in West Kirby. Nice to sit outside on a summer's evening. Friendly and helpful staff

Lovely food good atmosphere for a quiet afternoon.

I went for an afternoon tea for my cousins 40th this afternoon. Very disappointed! Sandwich’s were dry and curled up! The fillings were boring and bland. The cakes looked shop bought and maybe defrosted from frozen? Waiter served the tea from a teapot he kept hold of! I got missed and had to go the bar to ask for my tea?! If this was my first experience of an afternoon tea I would never be having one again. Luckily I have experienced quality afternoon teas in other establishments so I know this was very poor. Shame really as I was looking forward to it and had starved myself for it! Only to have to force down dry bland sandwiches as I was so hungry by the time it reached us! Being the last table 😫

Great open mic night here on a Tuesday. The barman is excellent. Coffee and non alcoholic beer as well as a good selection of alcohol available. No food served on Tuesday evening.

Went for the music, Xander Brothers ... absolutely superb night! Will try the food next time, looked delicious!

Really nice place to go, we went to a function in the private room upstairs. Was nice, staff very helpful and friendly, food was superb. Only 2 things let it down... Firstly steep stairs and no lift for elderly customers, secondly only bar stool your chairs which weren't very comfortable... Need comfier chairs to relax in. Otherwise a very nice venue.

Wow can’t fault this place it’s great ,the food was so good the atmosphere fab the service excellent and it was so busy being the festive period ,we were lucky to get booked and it’s in a great spot in West Kirby outside seating it’s great in the summer,wish we lived nearer we always go when we visit our daughter who lives in West Kirby lucky girl

We had a big Christmas family gathering on the 23rd of December. We had a lovely time in comfortable surroundings. Our little one's had space to play and run around safely. The buffet food was very nice and the service was very friendly and polite. We would definitely go again.

Don’t like how you have to order off a sheet as cannot make amendments to your order. Eg burger ( don’t want something on it). Ordered Chilli 50/50 arrived cold so had to ask for it to be heated up. Friends burger was cold as well. Didn’t taste chilli just tasted like mince and tomatoes, small bowl of rice and potato wedges although it said chips not worth the money. Husband ordered crispy beef which he said was really nice. Maybe change the way you can order and improve food quality.

Excellent food, we ordered the small plates and had 5, which was more than plenty, all the food was Well presented, very tasty and hot. The service was also friendly, efficient and served with a smile. We will be back when next in West Kirby.

We sat in the outside area which sheltered us from the rain. We had the light bites which were excellent. Would recommend it

Wanted to find somewhere in the area with small plates/tapas and Gluten Free options for my wife and a craft beer on tap for me. Very please we found this welcoming and friendly place. It catered for our needs perfectly. Very comfortable surroundings and a nice atmosphere. Thank you.

A Lovely tapas lunch, maybe a little pricey but we enjoyed it nonetheless. There was a huge selection to choose from and it was all very tasty.

Chose crispy batter fish and prawns batter was very soggy not crispy for the price could have ate at the manor Greasby 100% better

Very loud and the doors were closed up stairs on a very hot evening? Personally I like to sit outside in the fresh air but when we sad downstairs People were vaping everywhere . I have a serious reaction to them and couldn't stay . In your toilet you have a plug in type air freshers/ pollutant which are a major cause of breathing problems. They omit higher concentration of carsnejenics than chain smoking . The main chemical is very high levels of formaldehyde. The staff worked very hard and I have total respect for them but please google harmfull effects of sented candles and plug in air freshers, you will be surprised.

Ok bar, but the service is incredibly slow. I went to get bar for a beer and coke and the waiter took my order. Over 15 mins for my drinks to get to the table. Same for the next round.

Was there for a reunion with friends and we'd previously booked a set menu of dishes. Atmosphere good, staff friendly and we all had a great time, but the food was mediocre at best- flabby belly pork, stodgy mac&cheese, and a few others that were equally uninspiring. Had expected much better. very disappointing. Maybe the normal dining menu is good, but this wasn't unfortunately..

Really enjoyed visiting here yesterday! Best resturaunt I've visited this year for sure! The options/variety of food was really good, there were vegetarian options available too. I had the (tapas dishes) Goats cheese & bretroot salad and sweet potato fries - Would happily eat this again it was so tasty. My friend had the salt & pepper chicken burger & hallomi (main dish), which looked so delicious. The portion sizes here are just right. They recommend on the menu 2-3 tapas dishes which is a fair comment as the portion sizes are really good. I will definetely visit here again, to try more of the food on the menu. The location is by a quiet road, the tables outside are in the sun during the day which makes it even better. Thank you.

Great evening with friends. Clean trade area. Good cocktail menu. Atmosphere was good. Tried the food and that was so nice. All in all a great evening.

Booked The Wro Loft for my baby shower last weekend. The staff on the lead up to the event were great, they showed me around the space, gave me all the information I’d need & answered all the questions I had. I kept in touch via email, filling in all their planning pack so they had the correct information for my event. They even accommodated adding lower tables for my elderly guests which was great. We had afternoon tea which everyone fully enjoyed, the staff that were stationed upstairs with us for the event were amazing (didn’t manage to get their names) but they were very attentive, making sure I was happy with everything throughout & serving all my guests copious amounts of tea and coffee along with any other drinks from behind the bar. The afternoon tea was all freshly made & the cakes were all amazing, only the scone let it down as it was a bit tough and not much filling (I prefer to add my own cream & jam). The only other thing I would suggest would be to have a knife & spoon for each guest as I had to use my tea spoon to eat the meringue (which was incredible 😍) and then again to cut my scone in half. But all in all, such a lovely space to have any event, I wouldn’t hesitate to use The Wro again

We had a 40th afternoon tea for my wife recently in the wro loft upstairs. Tim and the team were excellent from the start to finish, and especially on the day. We Would recommended it highly

We went for an early evening Xmas meal ( 3 of us ) & really enjoyed it! The tapas style food was excellent & so was the atmosphere in the restaurant which was busy. We really enjoyed our visit. The bill came to around £80 which wasn't too bad considering we had a few drinks as well. Friendly service, great food, easy parking what's not to like 🙂

A contemporary bar with a selection of high quality drinks that also serves exceptional high quality freshly made food. Staff are very helpful and friendly. There is an outside seating area with an option to open the full size glass windows in summer. Also, an upstairs loft bar for private functions or live music. Highly recommended, reasonable and competitively priced.

We decided to try Wro for our anniversary lunch as we had never been before. The menu is extensive and is mainly small plates so we chose a selection and ordered. The restaurant has a good mix of seating, indoor, outdoor, standard tables and high tables. The food was all excellent quality and tastes great. Everything was hot and the potion sizes are good. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will go again. Would also like to attend one if the music evenings.

Lovely lunchtime catch up, as a birthday treat, with a friend. We leisurely enjoyed a selection of dishes including a vegetarian option.. All of which were tasty and reasonable value for money. My friend particularly liked the decor as well. Friendly service.

This is the second time I have been here with friends and it will certainly not be my last. What a great selection of gluten free tapas, staff and service is extremely friendly and they can't do enough for you. There was a great singer on Sunday night who sang a range of songs and just added to the night. Look forward to my next visit.

The best tapas I have ever had . Celebrating my friends 60th birthday. Live music and lovely attentive staff. Table service throughout the night. Will definitely be returning x

Fantastic food, Atmosphere, and really good staff, the music tonight was a bonus.

We came for a family meal whilst on holiday, we all ordered a main apart from one family member who ordered a side… this was bigger than any main! The portion sizes for our main meals were a joke (less than 10 small chips per person), kids portions would be bigger. The size of these meals wouldn’t be an issue if the quality of the food was good, however the beef burger was dry and bland, the chicken burger had soggy floury batter… McDonald’s would have had better quality. The inside of the restaurant was nice, the staff were friendly, the drinks were good and when we saw other tables order the small plates they looked good (bigger than the mains), however our experience for the cost and quality of our meals was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced.

This was a real disappointment. We ordered chicken burgers for about £13 - when they came they were tiny & there were only 12 chips. The normal burger was extremely dry & bland & the portion size was also a joke. You could get more for a kid’s meal elsewhere. The small plates that we saw others order looked bigger & nicer than the main meals so if you do brave this place then go for those.

Totally rate this place as a go to in west Kirby if looking for food and/or drinks. We dropped in last minute and the manager and staff went above and beyond to find a spare table ( 4 infact haha moved us around due to being fully booked which we truly appreciated - they could have told us to go somewhere else as the place is clearly so popular but they made some space and time for us last minute ) although booked up and extremely busy on one of the hottest days of the year! Manager and staff made us feel welcomed. Food was lovely, drinks and service quick and prices fair. Staff were professional and polite. Top marks from both myself and my girlfriend we had a lovely time and spent longer than we anticipated due to being made to feel so welcome and the vibe of the place. We will be coming back more often. Top marks!

Food was delicious we got burgers and the kids ordered pizzas. Everything was fresh and cooked lovely. Staff were friendly , service was quick . Nice ambience with clean facilities.

We called in here on Friday for a drink as we were waiting for another couple to meet us. Sat at a table inside and told they needed the table back in an hour, no problem but staff weren't very polite. Saw other couple arrive...

Well the wro is perfect really.. Lots going on full of atmosphere the staff are so helpful nothing is to much trouble .. Great food an wine choices and when the bands play that's even better.. A fabulous place to hang out..

Great place for lunch with a small plates menu. Choose the number of plates depending on what size appetite you have got. I really enjoyed the Crab Mac 'n Cheese.

This review is for the Wro Loft where we held my daughter's baby shower recently. The room is a really good size and tastefully decorated, with its own staffed bar, which was a real plus. We were able to use the balcony as well as it was a lovely day. We had afternoon tea and the sandwiches were plentiful, and the cakes were delicious (probably some of the best I've had at an afternoon tea). The staff were so accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. 10/10 for their customer service. Overall, a great afternoon and I would highly recommend this venue

My review is for the Wro Loft. Our family held a Celebration of Life at the Loft after my sister's funeral. It's a very pleasant room with access to the balcony. We were able to use the balcony as it was a lovely sunny day. We had a tasty selection of food including sandwiches, chips, spring rolls and chicken goujons with some really tasty dips. The staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend for all different types of functions. I was thrown a surprise 50th birthday party at the Loft a few years ago which was fabulous.

Lovely venue for live music albeit there isn't too much room for a large band. That said, the food is good with different choices and the staff are friendly and efficient. Been there quite a few times and will go again.

Had lunch in this delightful place today. Was welcomed in very warmly. Place attractively decorated and comfortable. Great menu, lots of choice even for vegetarians. Good portion sizes, in tapas-style sharing but we got free chips as well and they were fabulous! Staff very nice, relaxed, friendly and attentive. Bill was a pleasant surprise as cost very reasonable. Happy to return there any time.

Went to meet a friend at lunchtime - The Wro doesn't open until 1300 on weekdays - but found a spotless bar, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a good choice of things for a light lunch.

I’d been here a couple of years ago and had a pleasant experience, so was looking forward to returning. However, I walked in, but immediately walked out because of the way a staff member spoke to me. Won’t be returning again.

The manager there is the rudest staff member i have ever witnessed & the worst attitude i have ever come across, he needs some lessons in hospitality, i'll be happy to pay for his course... Speaks to customer like a piece of dirt and runs around like he owns the place...

Visited here last night, witnessed one of the waitresses being berated by another member of staff. Absolutley disgusted. If this is how they treat their staff, won't be goung back.

Food is amazing. Best ciabatta bread I ever had. Salt and pepper halumni very god. Lovely staff and service. Mum enjoyed the cod and chorizo.

Had a lovely meal in a nice atmosphere, sticking to all Covid guidelines, eaten here many times but the food this time was better then ever. Highly recommend. Staff as always very friendly.
