Christmas day dinner.....fabulous! Staff couldn't do enough for us....even giving our little people extra table crackers. Food was lovely and plenty. It was very relaxed and no rushing us out like we've experienced in other places. Shout out to Jess the manager for fitting us in when online bookings were being a pain. Family all wanting to return for next Christmas 😊

We booked here for my daughters birthday meal there was 26 of us and it was such a fabulous service the waitress named Jess was very helpful and went over and beyond for us she put up balloons and banners for her and made it extra special cannot thank everyone enough

Absolutely amazing food and lovely service from all the staff! We went for my Niece's 15th birthday and Jess went above and beyond to make sure she had the best evening. Jess went out her way to put up banners and balloons and it may seem small to some but it makes a massive difference to the evening. Even the smiles on staff faces when your asking for a simple thing like an extra bottle of sauce. Thank you so much Jess and staff at the kings, you guys are the reason we come back time and time again!

Lovely food and great service, came in last minute table of 9 and they were very accommodating its was no problem. Staff lovely and friendly!

Went here granddaughters birthday meal on the 7th December, food fantastic, quick and piping hot, Jess looked after us all, 25 of us might I add, banners and balloons were put up by staff which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated

A group of us old dears went here for our Xmas dinner and I have to say the food was amazing , the effort and service that staff and management put in to make our afternoon special was above and beyond ! Thankyou Jess and Kane for a lovely afternoon xx

Thank you to the staff at kings arms. What an absolute joy customer service was excellent. Food was delicious as a family we all tried different dishes and no complaints from any of us. We often frequent The Kings Arms and always enjoy ourself however this particular visit was outstanding. My mother is on a strict diet so I asked if they was any chance they could accommodate that, Jess came to the table herself to run through some options with her which was just so lovely of her. Thank you for making my mum feel more comfortable and supported Jess.

This pub has gone so much better since the new landlord and landlady Kane and jess have taken over. They are welcoming , friendly and have changed the atmosphere greatly here. The food is also great ... well done guys. Highly recommended 👌

I've been a customer at the Kings for nigh on 50 years and I've seen a number of changes in that time, some good, some not so good. I'm a cask ale drinker so obviously the beers available are important to me. Things are looking up recently with a second ale being available as well as the ubiquitous Greene King IPA. There was a new ale on this weekend which I'd never tried before. The new boss of the pub offered me a sample to try. It was delicious so I ordered a pint, then another pint, then..... What a contrast to The Acorn just up the road where there are 3 redundant handpumps and no real ale!

Went here today and the food was great and the service was amazing couldn't ask for a better place to go for a family dinner.

Came here last night for tea, food was lovely the pub was nice and clean, lovely atmosphere and all the staff were really lovely welcoming and polite especially Jess! We'll be visiting again soon x

Amazing since new people have taken over its clean the food is lovely and hot the service has improved massively The atmosphere is fun and welcoming we choose to spend our lunche, dinners and free evenings there now my partner even says the beer taste better The toilets work now and are kept clean and tidy You can tell the staff really enjoy serving the public its a family friendly lovely place to go and eat or go socialise with friends Definitely recommend visiting

Booked a table for 6:30pm on a Tuesday. Arrived to be told the wait for food was 1 hour. The manager explained why very politely, they had a large party in, but that shouldn't affect other customers. We left and went somewhere else.

No frills pub grub, it was hot, tasty and plentiful. No need for the numerous international cuisines we seem to get bombarded with at modern shopping outlets and high streets.

Went today 9 of us adults and children half the food not available no hot drinks as had no milk (tescos up the road ) so walked out

Food was awful cold dry wasnt freshely cook somethink tht would come from iceland pre packed very very dissapointing will never being spending my money in this pub again or bringing my children here even they left there food staff didnt keep us updated on were food was and got wrong orders and the mashpotato was somthink tht came pkt tht was frozon and put in the microwave to go with dry chicken and soggy onion ring somthink needs to be done with chef and staff never will i step foot in this pub again

Booked a table for 4 adults & 3 children for Father’s Day. Haven’t been the king for years, and to be honest it was only for the kids area outside why we booked. It will definitely be a regular place for us now. The food was SO good, the service was so lovely and welcoming, the prices are really affordable and we couldn’t fault anything at all. Thank you

The King's is a lovely pub that has a great team and clientele. New management in the last week or so has breathed fresh air into the pub. A young, keen staff, tempered by more experienced members make the dining, drinking and entertainment experience amazing.

Went with family for a birthday meal. But they had no fish, pies, gammon or burgers left !! I couldn't even get a cup of coffee.

We came in today for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. The food was hot and very tasty. Steak cooked to perfection and probably some of the best macaroni cheese I've had in a pub. The staff were supper friendly and helpful. My husband forgot to swap our beans for another coleslaw (his mistake not there's) but they came over with an extra portion straight away so we could thoroughly enjoy our meal. This was my first visit but my husband use to go to this pub regularly before he moved areas and he said its always been great, especially the food and the standards are just as high as his last visit a few years ago

Had a good rib eye meal....meat was perfect and the portions with it were right....never been there before but when on the wirral next will try my best to return...

Me and my mate come to the kings arms every lunch break during college and love the food! The staff are kind, welcoming and are easy to chat with while waiting for your meals. We never miss a day going to the kings arms.

Amazing atmosphere when I came in for a quick meal with family, staff also amazing they where welcoming and offered I think everything the could to help our staff comfortable and enjoyable. The food was delicious as I order the chicken n mix which I would recommended to anyone with a appetite which came as a good time as well as I had the chance to get me drink and have a ciggy before food came

Service was great, we have nothing negative to say about the staff there, they were all really great, helpful and friendly (well the two girls were). We have previously had family meal and we honestly couldn’t fault any one bit, I’d go as far as say they were really really good - resulting in our return today, in all fairness I didn’t write a review about what they done well in the past. However, today was horrific…… not one meal came out without an issue, 7 adults meals and 6 children’s meals all having a few rounds of soft drinks, so spending around £160! Firstly the roast dinners were inedible - the beef was mostly fat and rubber-like the mash was like a hard mound of overcooked crusty potatoes and the gravy was a thick jelly-like porridge all pretty cold and went home to the dog. The stake and chips well done (as requested) came on a bed of onions…… well a mountain of onions despite requesting no onions. The burger was hot, probably because it had been cremated, it was thrown together and once again the onions were inedible and appeared to have been cut with a blunt axe. The meals took close to an hour to come out and were staggered, taking this time it would have been nice to get at least one of the meals done to a standard anyone would expect. We’ll probably return and give it another go as our previous visits have been great and everyone has an off day although if the kitchen staff have changed from our previous visits, their new kitchen staff are shocking and need to drastically improve or don’t come in off the back of a heavy beak-end as they were belting out some good old banger (music not sausage)…… which is fine but not great when your sitting by the kitchen door. I feel bad leaving a negative review due to previous good visits but without criticism things don’t improve.
