The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Am I asking too much to have my main hot meal of the day served on a hot plate, I dislike having to rush my eating experience as my food cools overly quickly.

Er zijn betere plekken om te ontbijten of lunchen in Liverpool. Verwacht je er niet teveel van dan kun je hier terecht voor een (snelle) hap met weinig poespas. Heel vriendelijk personeel.

This is possibly the best English Breakfast I have had for a long time. Not what I was expecting at all. Great portions, lovely people and service. If you like a hearty breakfast this is the place to eat. Enjoy!

Dropped in for drinks and food. Excellent service at bar, great beer in good condition. Three good cask ales. Super pub food, great service. Barmaid so friendly helpful and obliging. Lovely to sit outside in the sun. All the food good ingredients and very well prepared by the chef - simple but wholesome and good. Will definitely call in again when in the area.

Eaten here several times, even if unsure what to expect we were pleasantly surprised and glad to have found it . Good pub food & great service . Reccomended

The best place for Fish and Chips on the Fylde Coast we believe. We have been visiting here many years,even when the previous owners had it and it just gets better and better. The menu is extensive but not too big. The fish is so fresh, it melts in the mouth like butter! They have some very good meal deals, and gorgeous desserts. The do not serve alcohol which is no biggie as the hot beverages are delicious 😋 The premises is absolutley spotless throughout and a stunning view of the see and Knott End across the bay. Close by you have a few shops and arcade, the R.N.L.I shop and station and the bus and tram stops are just across the road.

Really slow service, it took twenty minutes to get coffee and cake. Staff weren’t attentive, they all seemed like they were on a go slow. Plenty staff, no service.

This is an attractive venue in a lovely old building. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, allowing me to sit overlooking the park, despite it being some way for them to bring my order, and the cafe being almost empty. A very full outline of all options was given when I asked about an item that looked tasty. Sure enough, the one I had my eye on was the most suitable, and indeed delicous, as was the coffee. An excellent experience, which I would recommend...

Our order was forgotten, no apologies when we eventually queried it. Girl gave me a dirty look, and when coffees came one was banged down on the table and coffee slopped in the saucer! My friend had to return hers as it was v lukewarm! No napkins provided and had to ask twice for glasses to pour water in! Untrained or v tied staff?!!

Back again for a meal and enjoyed it definitely the best place to eat in barrow if your very hungry would visit everyday If I could 😋

Top bar with a great atmosphere, range of beers and gins etc., the food is good, reasonably priced with choices of sharing or large portions, always hot and fresh, prepared upstairs in small kitchen. Can get a little crowded has it's not that big, but that contributes to the atmosphere and quaintness of the interior.

We booked for 8 people for our Boxing Day lunch. We had viewed the Christmas menu and were looking forward to our meal. On arrival we were informed that the Chef left a week ago and there were no Roast dinners on the menu. Apparently the replacement "Chef" thought people would have had enough of Christmas dinners so was not cooking any. I think it's appalling that we were not contacted and made aware of the situation so that we could have made an informed decision on whether to attend, very dishonest and unprofessional. We were given a very basic menu which included fish and chips, pie, scampi etc, not very Christmassy and not even a cracker or festive napkin in site. Soup was luke warm, scampi tasteless and the only thing I enjoyed was the sticky toffee pudding, and at £7.50 that was a relief. A bill of over £200 for an overwhelmingly disappointing experience. Will not be returning.

Pequeño y agradable alcohol a 1 minuto a pie de la estación de tren. Cerca de otros pubs y del centro de la ciudad. La habitación era buena con selve servir el desayuno. Buena relación calidad-precio.

Solía ser un gran chippy ... nada está fresco ahora todo calentado. Nunca volverá. Comida de bajo precio y alta calidad... ... ... ... ... ... . ir a otro lugar
