Good food, good service. Nice atmosphere. Nice chill friendly place

We dined midweek and early so atmosphere was a flat but everything else was very good. Two small plates, scallops and the pork cheeks and a lovely chicken main dish. Service was good and a decent wine list.

No hay duda de que este es un gran lugar para tomar el fabuloso sol de abril. Se encuentra entre un pequeño grupo de restaurantes / bares fuera de Corn Exchange. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y nos sentamos, solo tuvimos una bebida, que era fría y muy bienvenido en un miércoles por la tarde abrasador.

Nos quedamos sin pizza a las 8 de la tarde y solo nos dijeron cuando la pedimos, tuvimos que pedir agua 5 veces, cuando llegó el agua hacía temperatura ambiente y después de decir que no estábamos contentos nos ofrecieron 3 chupitos que rechazamos (y no bebo) sin embargo todavía los trajimos a pesar de que nos negamos... Terminó en Pizza Hut a las 9. 30

I've been a regular at the bakery for many years and am used to the explosions from the kitchen and owner - which are often quite funny. However today was way beyond what anyone would find reasonable. I'm not sure what happened but another customer appeared to have tried to have ordered a variation from the menu. Which as usual was met by a tirade of abuse from the chef in the kitchen which everyone could hear. However, when the chef/owner stormed out of the kitchen and pushed a waitress out of the way - this went to another level. Another waitress had to physically restrain him from attacking the customer - all the time while he was shouting abuse. From what could sometimes be seen as an amusing situation became quiet threatening. A group of middle aged women trying to stop a large man attacking a customer! The looks on the waitresses faces ranged from shocked to embarrassed - but they all seem resigned - as if this is a regular occurrence. As soon as things calmed down - we left. And sadly won't be coming back. The owner needs to realise that this type of behaviour is not acceptable and the staff frankly just need to leave.

Such a vibe! Lovely people, gorge atmosphere and unbelievable food - cant recommend it enough - best place to get a breakfast on burton road by far and there’s loads of options on the menu 😋

Very good food and wonderful staff. Stayed for 3 nights and ate here twice. Fish and chips was very fresh and substantial. Sausage and mash the following night was wonderful. Rooms are very comfortable and the home made biscuits just divine.

It's a great off the beaten track boozer

I went for a late lunch here with my son after doing some shopping. It was not busy. Had to wait over 10 mins to be seated (only around 6 people eating) as the staff were messing around). I asked the sever for a sprit and a Diet Coke using the usual please thank you etc. no reply he just slammed them the table (we were in a booth). The table behind asked for a Couple of forks for their children (he didn't say anything to them just slammed them down on the table) I asked for a Katsu curry, repose a grunt. Asked For the bill - none produced just a car pad and then asked for a receipt - refused!!!! Even my pre teenage son asked me why they were so rude!! I would avoid at all cost

We recently held a Celebration of Life for my Uncle. at The Springwood in Macclesfield. There were 19 of us dining. I’d been in previously to arrange our celebration with the team. They advised that I sent a meal choices email prior to our event, which was a great idea and meant the food could be prepared for when we arrived. The team ensured everything went smoothly on the day, we had the conservatory area which was perfect for us. The service was excellent, we were so well looked after with friendly, attentive service. The food was hot and delicious and plentiful. We spent the afternoon sharing memories and toasting to our dear Uncle.

Eion and Corlis were very warm and welcoming and provided excellent service.

I had the luck that my barista today was Yishuang. She is a trainee but her aspirations of learning and doing the job well comes through in the level of care and attention she put on preparing my order, and her customer service skills. I'm a flight attendant, and I can certainly say she made the best pistachio frappe I had in any other airport of the world! Thank you!
