Amazing as always. Fantastic food, served by friendly staff in our favourite venue. Tradition with a twist - Crispy Belly Pork with a Thai Curry Sauce and Fries, words fail me though not so much that I can't mention the Apple and Sultana Crumble and Custard, heaven in a bowl 😋

Stayed here as we were at a brewery tour nearby and it was such a lovely night stay. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfy and brilliant shower. The breakfast options were fab and this was lovely and tasty. Service was personal and really friendly. Great value for money. Highly recommend 👌

We have been to 1911 quite a few times whilst on holiday in this lovely area. We both had the smaller version of a full English after a longish walk It’s so good and everything locally sourced as well Took some scones and chocolate cake back to our cottage, both home made. Simply delicious. We love this place and the service is always with a smile …

Popped into the neighbourhood cafe on our way to look at the market, We were served by Phil and Casey who were very friendly and welcoming. The fact the cafe is dog friendly is great. I got a beautiful iced frappe with caramel for me and a plate of sausages and a bowl of water for Digby. Cafe has a great decor and a lovely relaxed atmosphere it’s the perfect spot for a nice sit down after a walk around town.

Nice small bar. Good cocktails. Lovely service but it is a tiny tiny place

I was ghosthunting nearby Epiacum Fort with my vagabond companion recently but first enjoyed lunch of a tasty bacon bun & a bowl of posh chips at this popular bikers cafe which is conveniently located just 200 yards north east of the fort. The café also features an interesting archaeological slideshow history of the fort on a large screen inside for any customer curious enough to watch. I found the staff considerate but the bun & chips were relatively expensive but I suspect this reflects the slightly higher cost of food delivery to this relatively remote but scenic location

Went in today and got chip butty with cheese...can safely say I won't be going back, the lad I went with got burger and chips with a can of pop. Instantly found a hair in his chips and then opened his can to find another hair stuck to the side of it. How this has good reviews I don't know!

A nice small cafe serving excellent coffee/tea and a handsome scone. The tables are arranged in an open square room in a functional way so it couldn't be described as cosy. But it's a pleasant enough place with very friendly staff. A little off the beaten track for Whitley Bay centre, but if you're in the area, it's worth stopping off.
