My husband ordered a chicken dinner to be delivered for me. Veg all undercooked, the lumpiest mash I’ve ever had, no Garvey at all, I had to make some for myself. Very bland Yorkshire pudding and one roast potato that was very nearly raw, so undercooked I couldn’t even cut through it. Never again.

Having read the previous reviews, we were a little apprehensive about our meal tonight & when the waiter told us two of the main courses were not available (lamb rogan josh & lasagne) & the gnocchi dish had been changed to penne, we were even more concerned. However, I had the battered haddock & chips & my partner had the fish pie & greens. We also ordered an extra potion of chips. I couldn't fault my meal - a good size, well cooked & tasty. The seafood pie was tasty but would not have been big enough without the additional chips, meaning as a main, it was effectively £28.50 rather than £23. We shared a portion of sticky toffee pudding & vanilla ice cream, which was v nice but a modest size for £9. Overall the meal was very enjoyable, the service was generally good but a little slow getting dessert & the bill. But it was busy. I have not given 5 stars because I feel the menu is a little overpriced & with two mains missing & a third changed, it made the menu quite limited.

Absolutely disgusting pub, you always feel on edge going in there due to kick offs, or people just being damn right offensive and antagonistic. The managers of that pub are the most unprofessional individuals I have ever met, police are always outside that pub. I would recommend not to visit this pub if you are in any way not related to the family who run it, or friends, it is a total clique and they treat outsider customers like total garbage.

Lovely old traditional Inn. Staff were very friendly. The room was spotless. Its right in the village so well positioned. Very close to Cragside. We parked right outside the front door. The breakfast was excellent. Overall very good value.

Very disappointed today with customer service and food quality. Did not realise you had to order your meal from the till so stood being ignored by staff as if I was invisible!! Eventually ordered bacon and sausage bap which was greasy in a less than fresh bap. 7.70 for this including a cup of coffee. Come on Tesco. You can do better than this!!! Sad as this cafe was pretty good the last time I used it a couple of years ago.

Klassisches Dorfpub. Sauberkeit lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig, aber gute Auswahl an Draftbier. Sehr freundliches Personal.

We have been going to Olivers Wyong Northbound for many years but on this occasion it was disappointing to say the least. Why they chose to relocate in the old McDonals site was a bad decision. We used to have a meal in the previous building but due to the congestion and very much reduced choices we just bought a sandwich and had it in the car. Prices seem excessive for the poorer quality sandwiches. The quality of this was disappointing and service very unfriendly. The toilets were disgusting and unclean. The previous location was spacious and a pleasure to relax over a nice meal while travelling. Not so anymore. Olivers still has the photos of the previous location which is misrepresentation and should not be permitted. As such, we will never go to Olivers again.

Sorry to say that this is a limited cafe and lost its magic from when the Wafflemeister was there. Need to look at the menu and offer a wider range of products. Unappealing to say the least. Assume they were left high and dry when waffle meister pulled out, but surely they can offer similar type products for families. Cost £40 to buy a waffle machine. Even the drinks on offer is such a small collection. Such a waste.

Rude staff. Shouting saying I needed a tray when I was sat literally infront of the till. The man spilt hot chocolate all over the cup then wiped the bench with a damp cloth then wiped my cup after? Over heard a man complain about his food and not once did the lady apologise she turned around and said “we can’t help it when get them sent in”. Won’t be going back.
