Absolutely disgusting pub, you always feel on edge going in there due to kick offs, or people just being damn right offensive and antagonistic. The managers of that pub are the most unprofessional individuals I have ever met, police are always outside that pub. I would recommend not to visit this pub if you are in any way not related to the family who run it, or friends, it is a total clique and they treat outsider customers like total garbage.

My husband ordered a chicken dinner to be delivered for me. Veg all undercooked, the lumpiest mash I’ve ever had, no Garvey at all, I had to make some for myself. Very bland Yorkshire pudding and one roast potato that was very nearly raw, so undercooked I couldn’t even cut through it. Never again.

This cafe in Hexham has a great atmosphere for a supermarket cafe. The staff are friendly and the food is great.

My second visit with my wife first a bit chaotic due to our young granddaughter, this one more civilised my wife had fresh quiche and salad myself the chicken club sandwich the best I have eaten generous amount of chicken and bacon served with fresh coleslaw and salad a side portion of chips I struggled to finish it well worth the money with good attentive service.

Awful pub - grumpy barmaid and they clearly didn’t want tourists in. Much nicer and friendlier places in the village. Would avoid completely!

We had a beautiful meal here in this wonderful pub. The staff were so friendly and made a fuss of our 2 dogs. Lots of doggy treats available too so our dogs loved it. I had the macaroni cheese with crispy bacon on the top with a side salad, it was perfect. My husband opted for fish and chips, it was a huge portion and he cleared his plate. Great choice of desserts as well so we had crème brûlée with shortbread biscuits on the side and crumble and custard. The pub was decorated beautifully, light, airy, very clean with modern decor. We sat and had a few drinks as the atmosphere was lovely with their friendly staff. We would thoroughly recommend it here and can’t wait to come back

Pretty poor cafe, unfortunately. Staff were friendly but that’s it. Shame since you have that lovely garden and it would be an ideal spot to finish a trip for a coffee and lunch after the poison gardens but the value and quality was not there. Also, very poor pricing for plainly made plastic bagged breadcake sarnies. There’s cost of living and then there’s just daft pricing.

Sorry to say that this is a limited cafe and lost its magic from when the Wafflemeister was there. Need to look at the menu and offer a wider range of products. Unappealing to say the least. Assume they were left high and dry when waffle meister pulled out, but surely they can offer similar type products for families. Cost £40 to buy a waffle machine. Even the drinks on offer is such a small collection. Such a waste.

Considering Covid 19 protocol states tables should be sanitised between customers, we would have settled for the tables just being clean. Every table was dirty and no sign of staff cleaning them.
