By far the best deli in town. Really tasty food, lots of options to select from, fast and polite service. Also, as a coffee addict who spends way too much money for good coffee, I strongly endorse their cappuccino.

Carruthers and Kent created a cheese tower for wedding and we couldn't recommend them highly enough! We wanted to find someone local who could make the 'cake', and having visited C+K for wine and cheese/charcuterie boards many times previously, they were an easy choice. We had a lovely tasting appointment to decide on the cheeses and were given many many options. The collection process was smooth, and all the guests commented on how delicious the cheeses had been! Thank you so much for everything!

I often have food and drinks here and never had any problem the staff are really nice and can't do enough. Unfortunately me and my partner went on December 8th and there was a private party upstairs we waited over an hour for our lunch considering we only had the table for 90 minutes we were rushed to leave shortly after finishing eating. The food wasn't as good as it would normally be it has definitely put us off going for food in the future

Good selection on the specials board, my partner had the soup (homemade with sour dough) I had a croque monsieur. Presentation was excellent, extremely tasty and good portion size. Not the first time we have been here and we will be back.

Ordered a spicy meatball sub and a slice of millionaires shortbread. Total cost £6.40. Great taste, great value, mid customer service.

Leaving a review for the pottery shop side of things, not the food; I've now had two mugs from the pottery shop at Kiln (one was a replacement for the first), both suffered cracking of the glaze on the inside within just a couple of uses (note: I only hand washed both mugs). Cracks in glaze are not food safe as they can harbour bacteria but also the mug just looks a bit crap now, which is annoying after paying quite a lot of money! The fact it has happened twice suggests an issue with the manufacturing, a real shame because they look great otherwise.

Such a lovely bar made extra special by the staff who are first class. I've had a few old Fashioned's here at different times, usually made by a lad called Calvin I think. Always made to the same great standard. Best in Newcastle for me.

I'm changing my reviews from 5 to 1 star as the service was very humiliating! I went with my children in the morning for breakfast before her GCSE exam to calm her down but unfortunately totally the opposite happened. Order wasnt served and everyone order even people after us was served. I reminded her with my order she said i'll give it take away! Ok. I asked for disposable forks, she came throwing bunch of metal forks on my table! I went to say I need disposables she gave them to me very angry! I am the one who should be angry as we didn't get what we want! I was very sad and decided to go to speak to her after dropping children off to school. I told her that wasn't right and not accepted and we were very disappointed! The other girl came very rudely saying she got your point and now do you need a free drink! Is this the way to treat your mistakes! Not apologizing but giving free drinks! What a shame! We loved this place and was very convenient being next to school! But we have loads of other options now!

I go every day for my breakfast… lovely hot sandwiches with a nice cuppa and a sausage for my dog, very friendly staff and very nice atmosphere. Great way to start the day 😋
