The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in North East

If you are on holiday or just passing by, do not fail to stop and enjoy this gem of a cafe and you will be welcomed like old friends by Andrew, his Team and of course his 'greeters', Sam and Rocky, his friendly Border Collies. The atmosphere and homeliness of this unique hostelry can only be appreciated by a visit, as also the food of course, which is delicious, generous, and ranges from scrumptious home made gateaux, to its widely renowned choice of meals. If possible do try its selection of delicious cooked breakfasts, which really set you up for your onward journey or for your trip to the many beaches and castles etc. in which this area abounds. If you want an experience as well as a hearty meal, we are certain you will not be disappointed - just read the many reviews....!!!

Absolutamente 5 - servicio de estrellas y almuerzo y pastel para llevar eran deliciosos. Muy ocupado a la llegada como sábado a la hora del almuerzo. Pero, me las arreglé para encontrar una mesa para 4 arriba y tenía nuestra propia vista y habitación. Pedimos bebidas, almuerzo y pastel para llevar y todo estaba delicioso. Sin duda recomendaría si estás en Durham.

Didn’t actually get to sit or eat anything which is clearly frustrating. We did wait to be attended to for probably 20 minutes during which time none of the staff had any courtesy to speak and advise availability of tables etc. Just too rude! Cakes looked good in the cabinets though 🙄. To be fair even if it was empty and the cakes were the best in the whole county, wouldn’t come back now!

This friendly pub is the second oldest pub in South Shields and has a wonderful view across the river and out to sea. Their Sunday dinners are delicious easily the best roasts in the area, with all the trimmings and generous helpings. Highly recommended to all.

Great service and value and local produce in shop. 8 of us called in for a pre-walk coffee and cake/teacake. Although the place was busy, we were served swiftly and courteously. Definitely will revisit and recommend.

Me and the wife visited here for a full English breakfast , and I must say it’s one of the best I’ve had , food very fresh and hot , caramel latte best ever, and the staff very friendly . Highly recommend, free car park at the rear.

A lovely location, sat outside in the sunshine with my dog, a pot of tea, cheese scone followed by a piece of carrot cake, absolutely delicious. Thank You, I can't wait to return

I had the best sandwich I’ve ever had at Mes in Sedgefield ( Prosciutto, Brie & Rocket with a Balsamic drizzle on a warm Ciabatta ) The ingredients were so fresh, and the flavours were just perfect. The staff were incredibly polite and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Great atmosphere and excellent service—I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

The food is absolutely good and definitely taste the "chicken quesadillas". On the other hand, the portions are very small. Advice order two right away and take your time because it doesn't go very fast. Perhaps because of the online orders because as said, the food is certainly good.

Great Christmas meal (vegan) and lots of it. Starter, main and dessert. All delicious and very tasty.

Visité McKeith's Sandwich Shop en mi camino a través de Sunderland para mi almuerzo. Opté por un sándwich de ensalada de jamón. El servidor me ofreció una variedad de bollos y me decanté por la opción de bollos con semillas. El sándwich tenía una buena cantidad de carne y mucha ensalada. Tienes una selección de opciones de ensaladas que puedes elegir, yo solo elegí la simple, lechuga, pepino, tomate y maíz dulce. El bocadillo en sí era grande y lleno. Los servidores eran muy amables y estaban encantados de chatear con los clientes. Definitivamente vale la pena venir a McKeith's para un sándwich cuando en la zona. También tienen buen precio.

Visited this afternoon to have a coffee to warm up having walked from Whitley Bay. Found the staff friendly and efficient. The mince pies were delicious as we're the drinks. Highly recommended!

This tearoom is in the perfect location at Amble Harbour, been here a few times and the service is great, and the food so tasty home from home and more.

Had the most amazing festive afternoon tea here with friends. Everything was delicious & a party member with coeliac disease was well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. I believe that everything was made with love....sign of the best establishmets.
