Yes, we'll definitely be back to step aboard this delightful bus with its remarkably upbeat conductress. Rosie is just the ticket considering all she's been through with her original cafe being destroyed by an arsonist, followed by her husband's illness. The friendly atmosphere is the perfect complement to the delicious snacks and the quirkiness is a welcome contrast to the blandness of most modern cafes.

We regularly call for a bacon sandwich and a coffee, it’s great value for money, and somewhere safe to leave your bike. Rosie is a great hostess, it’s not massive inside the bus, but it is very cosy.

Looking for somewhere with a bit of outdoor seating on the bank holiday weekend and found this gem. Bacon sandwich with everything and chicken and mushroom crepe, followed by a slice of the fruit crumble sponge to share (mistake - we should have had one each). Rosie was lovely and we will definitely be back.

We have visited here many times and this place has a lot of regulars proving how good it is. Great for breakfast buns, sweet or savoury crepes, cakes, tea and coffee. Lovely warm welcome and recently expanded into a cosy converted bus. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the scenery.

Stopped at Cozy Coffee én route to Barnard Castle and it's a great pit stop. Set in the entrance of a field with beautiful scenery- the coffee bus can be easy to miss, hidden behind hedges with little/no signage on a rural back-road, but it's definately worth putting in your sat nav!... Good mocha, bacon & egg roll was good and a slice of very tasty mocha cake went down well!.. friendly lady that will probably do my egg a little runner if I ask, she directed me to the nearest cashpoint and prepared my food while i was gone! Very tidy place with single shed toilet that is surprisingly spacious and extremely clean! Will visit again and again!

Called in on motorbike ride. This proves still to be a great coffee stop also offering super home made cakes and hot snacks. When we were there there was a couple on horseback, a young child with parents and two bikers. A real eclectic mix. But it is good! Very welcoming, great quality coffee and food, well worth a visit; Rosie helped my friend find nearby cashpoint offering to cook his food order while he left to find the cash machine so it was ready when he returned. Now you cannot ask for more friendly service than that.

Stopped off for a bite to eat with our child, nice and simple menu, reasonably priced, excellent service and fantastic little plot of land. Hens wandering around, horses in an adjacent field and a small slide all made for an enjoyable hour on a sunny day. Will certainly be going back and recommending to others.

We stumbled across this cute, tiny cafe after staying at a nearby hotel and were so pleased we found it. The food was tasty, home cooked and reasonable. The owner was lovely & friendly. Even the lovely cows in the next door field were friendly. It was a warm, sunny morning so we sat outside. It had everything we wanted and we even bought take-away cake for a treat later. Enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely recommend it to others. What a gem!

Was taken a few month's ago to this hand-built shepherd's hut on the edge of Brafferton by a friend from the school run - and now go here nearly every day! Cozy Coffee offers wonderful coffee and other drinks, fantastic bacon and eggs, poached eggs, scones, cakes etc etc. I can't eat the cakes as I am gluten-free but they look delicious. My husband loves the bacon sandwiches and also the poached eggs which Rosie cooks to perfection! She has provided me with some good gf options - bacon, egg and beans (delicious), hummus with GF crisps etc, - and today made gf chocolate brownies for the first time. I am now spoilt for choice!

This shepherd hut teashop, about 3 mins from the A1 at Brafferton in County Durham, is more like the sort of thing you find in the far reaches of Scotland. It's also a Tardis, as the exterior looks good for about 4 people, a small cat and a coffee machine. However, there's 'friendly space' for about 10 and a kitchen that turns out bacon and egg butties, excellent tea and coffee and some tremendous home-baked cakes. If you fancy a nice chat and an enviable view across Teesdale, this makes a lovely change from identikit coffee shops.
