Called 23/6/24. A lovely sunny day sat outside in one of the animal themed huts beautiful clean & tidy plus cool. Food as always very tasty, nicely presented & hot served with a smile & chat. It was very busy but staff still find time for each customer which makes Ulnaby the delightful place it is. Great management, staff, food & cleanliness.

Been several times for lunch. Always enjoyable whatever we choose on the menu. The soup is always good too. We stock up on steak pies and quiches (frozen) on our visits, pricey but well worth it! They have a good selection of cards at reasonable prices too, and a small gift area selling tea towels, oven gloves etc. The staff are always very friendly.

We walked to Medieval Ulnaby Farm shop and arrived at 15:30, website states open til 17:00. Sign at entrance said open til 16:00. No problem still plenty of time to grab a take away coffee. Unfortunately and much to my chagrin staff told us they were now cleaning up and were no longer serving. 30 minutes before the place even closes. The staff were unapologetic and showed no empathy that we had walked 4 miles to the get there with 30 mins before closing timeAs we stood at the entrance we saw the same staff driving out at exactly 16:00. I guess their priority is not the customer.I unequivocally can say I will not darken their door again. No customer should be made to feel that they are an inconvenience.

They are also only letting one family downstairs at a time which makes me feel safe to return. The cafe is open for take aways and has a selection of foods available. They do a delicious bacon sandwich and my daughter enjoyed one of their homemade scones. The staff were really friendly and happy to help. Ive never written a negative review before and try give businesses benefit of doubt, especially in these strange covid times.Sadly can no longer recommend this cafe.Have visited many times with family members and friends and been happy with quality in past. Today served cup of pale beige fluid I thought was weak tea..no probs, they got order wrong i thought(id asked for an Americano)...nope told was actually americano. Speechless, weakest coffee I've seen let alone an americano. Chose not to make any further issues of it as they weren't interested at all.So voted with my feet.Shame they did this.

A great place to go. Lovely cafe serving home made food and meals at a reasonable price. There is a small shop area with interesting gift ideas. Stairs( which may be too much for those with restricted mobility) go down to the area where all locally produced meat and other homemade pies etc are displayed in freezers. All the staff are very friendly and obviously good cooks. Not able to comment on outdoor staff as we never met any today. The toilets are located in the car park as is the entrance to the children's play area. There are various farm animals that the children can see ,sited adjacent to the playground so they will have a fun time. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be going again.

We needed somewhere local to Darlington for a family ‘meet-up’, and Ulnaby farm shop had been recommended to us.Although we hadn’t booked, the staff were very accommodating and actually moved tables around so that the six of us had plenty of room. There is a blackboard with daily ‘specials’ and also a general menu with plenty of variation. We all thoroughly enjoyed the choices we made, the service was brilliant and we would highly recommend this venue.I can imagine it will be even better during summer months. There is a lovely play area for children and alpacas, donkeys and sheep in a adjacent field. If you want a tasty lunch, with great service, then look no further. We will definitely return.

A helpful website gives details of opening times. There are no reservations, so just turn up. We thought we were in for a long wait as all tables (about 18 two person, less if fours) were occupied. However, one was quickly available. It is clearly popular. The waiting staff were good; attentive, but not overly so. As they were full, the order took a long time to arrive. Pleasant food from a small menu, and they were happy to change some bacon from one meal to another. If you need a gift or some farm produce you can buy these as well.

Lovely little cafe. Very reasonably priced. The gentleman that served us was very quick and helpful. There is changing facilities for children, highchairs, a really cute motorbike rocking horse and a standard rocking horse so a few things to keep little ones busy whilst you finish your meal. They also have decaf tea, perfect for a breastfeeding mama. Oh yeah and they offer a mammoth breakfast, 4 bacon, 4 sausage, 4 eggs, 4 black pudding, fried bread, toast, beans, tomatoes etc for under a tenner. I didn't order it but I imagine it would be incredible and a great hangover cure. Please leave me a helpful vote if you found this review useful.
