The best restaurants serving Other international-cuisines food in North East

Really nice food at a bargain price these days, at a catering college staffed by young people in training for cooking and hospitality careers. Friendly and attentive service, albeit some forgivable mistakes (they're just learning!). Nice to help them in their careers. The food is a fixed 3-course menu with 3 choices per course, for £18. Not a lot of atmosphere when we were there as it was quiet midweek, but apparently it's busier at weekends.

I had a jacket potato with salad, not an onion or spinach leaf in sight. My husband had a sausage and egg bap. Both were beyond comparison. We also bought a quiche for next day's tea, scrummy. And the cakes....yummy! We were travelling home from holiday and like to support local bakeries, but my word what a find, absolute gem. We would be happy to make a detour here, already recommended to others who I know travel this direction. Has to be 5 stars all the way!!!

Took my mum to see the latest Earthbeat show "Joseph". It was fabulous. The theatre was packed as always and the performance was wonderful. Well one to everyone who took part and the very hard working staff.

One of the best family owned cafe's in South Shields. Always a smile when we show up and the food is amazing. Julie and Ian make you feel like you're at home and not in a cafe.

Massive selection of the best tea. But you can get a great coffee too. Lovely food and cakes as well. Welcoming staff. Highly recommend - there’s nothing else like it in Newcastle or Gateshead.

Called in as we had been gifted a voucher. Decided to go for breakfast which was very good. Top quality produce well cooked and presented. Would visit again for Sunday lunch.

A very nice restaurant in the heart of Yarm. Friendly service; reasonable prices; good wine. I had the Caesar Salad and was very good! There are loads of good pubs in the area; but this is not a pub! But a fine place to stop and eat!

Beautiful restaurant interior with great ambience - was very busy at 4.30. Great choice of menus (including happy hour), specials boards and wines. Excellent and attentive service throughout, will certainly return and have no hesitation in recommending.

Had an impromptu early supper with friends. I'm celiac and lactose intolerant so enquired and they have a limited gluten free menu but more than enough choice. I had the Pollo Criollo chicken which was absolutely delicious! I could have taken a pot of that sauce home with me! Chicken was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive and I felt safe and looked after would highly recommend any gluten free/celiacs this place as a safe place to dine.

Lovely evening in a lovely pub the Landlord and his wife were great , very welcoming and the food was amazing best pub food I have had in ages more like restaurant quality

The food is excellent. The service was a little off, but that happens. Was able to sit outside which was nice. The only negative is they allow dogs on the patio. It's a small and narrow patio. And while dogs present during outdoor dining isn't a problem in itself, there are people who decide to bring large dogs... Very large dogs and don't pay attention to them as they block you or come to your table and start begging for food. We moved to a table further away.

We came here today for my mams birthday Sarah the chef was absolutely outstanding she came with a cake for my mams birthday the magician Tom was unbelievable and the staff were so friendly thank you I will come back just for the service we received from Sarah x
