The best restaurants serving Other international-cuisines food in North East

Really nice food at a bargain price these days, at a catering college staffed by young people in training for cooking and hospitality careers. Friendly and attentive service, albeit some forgivable mistakes (they're just learning!). Nice to help them in their careers. The food is a fixed 3-course menu with 3 choices per course, for £18. Not a lot of atmosphere when we were there as it was quiet midweek, but apparently it's busier at weekends.

Massive selection of the best tea. But you can get a great coffee too. Lovely food and cakes as well. Welcoming staff. Highly recommend - there’s nothing else like it in Newcastle or Gateshead.

One of the best family owned cafe's in South Shields. Always a smile when we show up and the food is amazing. Julie and Ian make you feel like you're at home and not in a cafe.

Wide range of bakery items, all homemade on site and great tasting. Some of the nicest people you could possibly meet who really care about people in the community.

Took my mum to see the latest Earthbeat show "Joseph". It was fabulous. The theatre was packed as always and the performance was wonderful. Well one to everyone who took part and the very hard working staff.

Don't normally send feedback as we are regulars.We are regulars because the standard is consistently excellent and wherever else we try, we always return to Muse knowing that, although we have our favourite dishes (signature seafood pancake!) whatever we order will be amazing.Fabulous food, wonderful staff, lovely (but relaxed) surroundings.This is the place you would hope people would recommend if you were visiting from out of the area. Beautiful restaurant interior with great ambience - was very busy at 4.30. Great choice of menus (including happy hour), specials boards and wines. Excellent and attentive service throughout, will certainly return and have no hesitation in recommending.

Little to no wait time to be seated for our reservation, our server Misha was lovely and came over to take our orders really quickly. Food was amazing, I don't think anyone in our party had leftovers! The atmosphere was intimate but lively. All round incredible afternoon and I look forward to coming again!

We visited this evening on our holidays, as a coeliac it's very hard to find somewhere with delicious food that's gluten free. Not only did this place have amazing food options for me, the server and chef were incredibly accommodating. Would highly recommend to anyone especially with allergies.
