Staff are amazing as always. Very friendly, welcoming and polite. Prompt service. We went for a Sunday lunch (last minute booking which we were accommodated by Kay (the owner). The food was amazing. We went for small roast each - one chicken and one pork. The small portion size was a decent serving - we wondered what the size of the regular portion is! The food was amazing. Lovely roast chicken and pork. Yorkies were fantastic and the veg was cooked perfectly. Good selection of veg - Mash, carrots, parsnips, peas, cabbage and a dish of creamy cabbage served separately. Extra jug of gravy brought as standard. We then had a dessert each. Value for money was excellent, we had two roasts, two desserts, a bottle of red wine (very nice) and a bottle of Peroni. The total bill was £54.00 which is very good value for money. We go to this place regularly however, not for a Sunday roast. Would 100% recommend and already looking forward to going back!

Lovely atmosphere helpful pleasant and efficient staff and lovely food - full English breakfast, pancakes with bacon and syrup and afters - Key Lime Pie snd Brookie. Only criticism was we had to sit on high chairs in the front window as there was no other room!

Walked in and greeted with a lovely friendly smile food amazing chicken and salmon dish could not ask for more first time at cafe sapore thought we would give it a try for our anniversary full filled all our expectations 5✨✨✨✨✨

I wouldn't go back. We went for evening meal, I'm afraid I couldn't forgive the prawn starter that came as a shop-bought naan bread with some flavourless prawns on top. It was bizarre. There was only one other table the whole time we were in there and they were complaining about something else. On the plus side, the service and staff were nice, the rest of the meals were ok (ham hock starter, parmo was good, steak was ok but desperate for seasoning). Would be convenient for lots of locals in walking distance I guess but not worth a taxi trip and childminders.

What a lovely little gem to visit in Harburn our experience was made delightful by the welcoming smile and service here..A truly Romantic setting with a friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We will definitely return again soon..This did not disapoint, Well done you have captured the essence of delightful dining 😀

My second visit, this time for a Bank Holiday Sunday Lunch, just what I had hoped for, lovely roast, with all the trimmings, good value and very attentive service. Pleasant friendly atmosphere. The restaurant was full so booking definitely advised.

I'll start with the positive, very clean waitresses friendly, food great. We have been here a number of times and this is the first time I have experienced this , we ordered our drinks and they arrived without the oat milk I requested, a few minutes had passed and we went to the desk and asked where was my milk. Apparently they had ran out and had to pop to the co-op to get some. Other customers had arrived and another waitress was serving them and took their food order. After a few more minutes and after seeing other customers getting served hubby asked if someone could take out order. Quite abruptly we were told by someone in the kitchen our waitress was getting our milk and she would be over soon. First of all there were other waitresses that could have taken our order why did we have to wait for her.Secondly a polite chat with the table to let us know why we were sat waiting would have been a good idea.And thirdly please don't pull a face behind my husband's back when queering what was going on. I did see you!!! This is worse than leaving us unaware of that was going on

My sister booked us in i had never been before would not go again as food was very medium but to be honest it wasn’t expensive. Wine and atmosphere acceptable

We booked out the whole place for a late Sunday lunch to celebrate a family members 90th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious- the best vegan Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. The service was excellent and staff really friendly. We will most definitely visit again.

Called in between the Xmas /NY bank holidays for breakfast. Freshly cooked and very tasty, coffee was nice and hot as well. Although busy the service was a little slower than expected when asked for a coffee refill. All in all far better than these farm cafes popping up.

Enjoyed a beautifully cooked and well presented Sunday lunch here today with my sister. We both had the roast beef dinner. Couldn't fault it in any way. We weren't rushed and enjoyed the meal very much. Service was good too. Recommended. The place is small and intimate so advise you to book a table in advance.

I was not expecting such fantastic food. We had a vegetarian breakfast as it was Friday. The ingredients were very high quality, The hash browns were well cooked and a little crispy ( this how they should be not the pale mush you get in other places) 2 perfectly cooked eggs - just divine, 2 sausages packed with flavour (some places over spice them so you do not know they are cheap rubbish) mushroom and tomatoes perfect too. I will definitely be returning here, again and again. Highly recommended

We had a very lovely meal - white/brown crab and sticky belly pork for starters followed by katsu chicken and lamb Henry. we had excellent service, food looked good and we couldn’t knock the wine. The only thing we would change was the seasoning. We both said all dishes could have done with a little more and the Katsu sauce was a little sweet for my taste. We were offered salt/pepper but declined assuming chefs palate matched ours. Would we return? Without a doubt. Very enjoyable night out.

Amazing steak and friendly staff.

Excellent service and fabulous food. Nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful experience. My steak was, as requested, rare, and my wife requested a variation of the menu. No problem.

Went here for a special anniversary treat and we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table, handed our menus and asked what we would like to drink. For someone who is fussy and not very adventurous with food I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. We even managed a dessert. It had been quite a few years since we’d been and definitely won’t leave it so long next time.

Cafe Sampore lives up to its title as a 'Hidden Gem'. We were visiting family in Thornaby and were looking for somewhere special which has disabled access. This little restaurant came up trumps. They had reserved us a table near the door with easy wheelchair access. The owner was kind and attentive and the food was scrumptious. I can certainly recommend the cod cheek risotto. The crockery and glassware were of a very good quality and the food presentation excellent. I can certainly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. It is to die for.

Don't be mislead by the name cafe. This is an excellent restaurant with some interesting dishes. Still needs to fine tune some of their meals but we would not hesitate in returning.

Did not realise it was Restaurant Week; I had Black Pudding starter - absolutely tasteless. my partner had the Pakora that too was tasteless. Main course of cod was average, my chicken was boring. We have not visited this restaurant for about 6 or 7 years as they did not know how to cook a steak as you wanted. Nothing has changed. Where this reataurant is situated it should have the pick of the crop - get your act togather. We will not be going back. The best thing was the very friendly and helpful staff

My partner and I dropped in to this local bistro in Hartburn for a late breakfast, neither of us having been in previously. My partner opted for the sausage and mushrooms brioche bun while I tried the mackerel hash. Neither of us were disappointed! My mackerel hash was tastier than anything I’d eaten the previous week in Cyprus - full of flavour from the perfectly cooked fish with spring onions, potato and a delicious sauce. My partner said that the sausage bun was really good too. The service was so friendly and helpful. 5 stars ✨

We have had a few meals in here recently, breakfast, lunch and dinner and all have been lovely. Since the new owner took over there have been a few 'event' evenings and we managed to get booked for their latest which was a charcuterie and cocktails night. Wow, music created a fantastic atmosphere, the cocktails were lush and plenty of prosecco too all provided for a fixed price. We had a really great evening and looking around everyone else did too. The charcuterie was very tasty and plenty of it. Serving staff and owner always happy and just the right amount of attentative. During the charcuterie evening staff were clearly enjoying the vibe of the night too, as would have been hard not too! Definitely recommend you try at anytime for eats here

We’ve been coming to Sapore for breakfast, Sunday lunch and evening meals over the years. Always good service and fabulous food. Friday they had Parmos on the specials menu…. Last time I had a parmo from here was a takeaway during lock down. Parmo was fantastic, crispy breadcrumbs, rich bech and tasty cheese. Chips were outstanding. There was however one downside… didn’t have enough room for any sticky toffee pudding! Mrs F had Malaysian chicken which was lovely!

We have enjoyed Sunday lunch at cafe sapore in the past, it has always been excellent. We decided to try as a takeaway this lunchtime and it was just as good. I recommend it to all and hope this excellent business continues.

Ordered Sunday lunch ,roast pork dinners really good and plenty of it. Deserts lemon cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding both delicious. Great value for money will definitely have again.

My wife and I have enjoyed some great takeaway food from you during lockdown. In these difficult times, when no-where is open, you've been doing a great job of supplying excellent quality food at reasonable prices. 4 of us visited and has the Tapas Menu. The deal is amazing value - 6 dishes and a bottle of wine for 36 pound per couple! The food was great, and the desert was delicious! Will definitely return soon.

Having booked this in advance my friends and I were looking forward to this very much. The menu was full of delicious choices, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had a salmon and prawn starter followed by traditional turkey with all the trimmings, and Christmas pudding. Other choices were a sweet potato soup or liver pate, salmon fillets, brownie with ice cream or a sensational creme brûlée.Cafe Sapore always has a good selection of wines and we had a bottle of Prosecco to wash it all down with. The crackers had the usual dreadful jokes and Party hats!Very enjoyable indeed. And the service as faultless as usual.

Lovely and warm in this weather. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere. Good service and lovely staff. Coffee/tea was good and served with a very tasty biscuit. Cater for vegetarians with a good menu. Also bought a delicious piece of chocolate and almond cake to take home.

Visited tonight with a friend My starter was really tasty.. Spring rolls were absolutely delicious. All ingredients were fresh. Lacked seasoning though Main course of liver onions green beans and mash was not so good. The liver was grisly and hard to eat so left most of it. I would return as the place was clean and service good but would try something different

They lacked seasoning howeverMy main course was liver with onions mash and fine green beans. I really didn't enjoy it. The liver was full of gristle and hard to cut so I left it. The cafe was clean and the staff were very nice I would return but can't recommend my main course meal. I will choose something else next time

Cafe Sapore turned out to be one of those little gems that are on the doorstep but only just discovered.We called for lunch after a recommendation and found this cafe amid a small row of shops in Hartburn. It is small be we managed to get a table. The menu is simple but well thought out and there is also a specials board. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We placed our order and in reasonable time the food arrived. It was excellent, well presented, good portion size and piping hot. We all chose different dishes from the menu and all thoroughly enjoyed our choices. All in all it was a very pleasant relaxing lunch and I’m sure we will call again.

I had heard about this place so decided to go pretty much on a whim. The food was excellent with service to match. Couldn't fault it and so glad we gave it a try. ow on one of our favourites list.

Went here Saturday for our anniversary, very disappointed. Starters, I had the mussels which hadn't been prepped / cleaned so were gritty and contained bits of broken shell. My wife had the chicken spring rolls which were bland to say the least!

3course Meal for 19:95. Top quality and so helpful staff, fully booked for 3sittings. The was firat class. Can only give 5stars because eof was excellent.
