Lovely food, well presented, good value for money-Staff lovely and friendly. Can’t wait for the summer weather-will be a lovely spot!

Best hot chocolate ever! First time sitting in today but had takeout whilst I worked in Consett. Food always great! Would recommend!

Very friendly cafe. We sheltered here whilst cycling and they could not have been more helpful and welcoming, copious tea and fish finger sandwiches were just what we needed. Popped the heater on to dry some wet gear and set us up for the rest of the day. Extensive and delicious menu across the day. Thank you for being a shining light on a very wet day!

Called in for the first time Sunday, as I had my dog asked for a take away coffee. Was told dogs were welcome so sat inside. Staff very friendly lovely flat white arrived without much waiting. A very kind staff member then asked would I like some water for the dog, the chef then also popped out with a treat for the dog. Couldn't have felt more welcome great place did not order food however, other dinners food looked amazing 😋 Will definitely be back.

Service was amazing as was the food great atmosphere and great music aswell had the sweet thing breakfast and pancakes to finish off 😋😋will definitely be back 10 out of 10

Me & my partner came to Sweet Things for breakfast. I ordered a cappuccino & pancakes with maple syrup & raspberries. My partner ordered a latte & a breakfast wrap. Everything we ordered was delicious & served in great time. Very friendly staff & a chilled vibe within a lovely bright space. Thank you very much for the lovely experience!

Sweet Things Cafe is such a lovely friendly place. Staff are very helpful and polite. I have been a few times now for sit in lunches aswell as take out cakes and milkshakes. They cater for my GLUTEN FREE son aswell which is an added bonus for us as a family. My daughter loves the milkshakes! My son loves the GF brownie and I’ve really enjoyed the crispy chicken wraps as well as the cake selection. Highly recommend 💖

Sweet Things was an amazing venue to host my sisters baby shower. From start to finish the team were so helpful. The food was absolutely gorgeous and we had a few people who had allergies/dietary requirements and they were catered to perfectly! If you are looking for somewhere to host a baby shower it is the perfect place!

A truly fantastic lunch at Sweet Things today. The Gyro platter was amazing, and my Flat White was easily the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back, and highly recommend this Cafe to anyone looking for somewhere to eat and drink when in Consett, or the surrounding area.

Kids milkshakes and hanging pancakes where amazing they loved it my breakfast was spot on aswell highly recommended

I booked Sweet Things for a friends baby shower, there was 23 people so we sent pre orders the week before. Everything went perfect, the food was so lovely, service was quick and the staff here can’t do enough to help you, would 100% book again 💖

Great bunch of girls, always give me a hand as I have mobility issues, they make me comfortable and the food is banging. The coffee is custom made and tastes fantastic, would definitely urge everyone to try.

Came here for my 5th year anniversary with my lovely wife. The staff were attentive, kind and approachable. The food was even better! This will most definitely be our regular spot now, especially for the breakfasts! Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

What a gorgeous little place Sweet Things is. We got the warmest welcome, the staff are so friendly and always smiling. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had pancakes and the portion was huge. They were cooked perfect. The coffee is now my favourite, so much nicer than any I've had at other coffee shop/cafe. Perfect for all ages and child friendly.

Highly recommend Sweet Things to anyone visiting or staying in Consett. Went there with my son for lunch and the food was delicious, we even stayed for a latte and milkshake after! The staff are so welcoming, cheerful and great with kids. We will be returning soon to try more of the menu 😋

I visited sweet things cafe and had the special which was an avocado and halloumi bagel which was amazing! Finished off with a cake and hazelnut latte! Definitely going back!
