My time there was really lovely. I really recommend.

If you want to come here simply for the bar, I’m sure it’s a great time. However, I would not recommend to come here for a sit down meal. I went for dinner here with my family of 7 people. I got the burger, which was charred and tough. Tasted similar to an American school lunch burger, just slightly bigger. The fries were bland. Other commentary from my family included the fish finger sandwich being tasteless and the tagliatelle being incredibly salty (I along with multiple other people tried it and agreed). Positive commentary went towards the fish and chips and the French taco as well as the cocktails and ales. The service was average, it took some time just for us to get menus. Nobody came to check on us after we received our food. They brought out one pitcher of water, which is clearly not enough for 7, and did not bring enough napkins. There was no one to catch the attention of to address these issues. People also tried to order off their specials menu but they were out of everything they tried to order. These items were not taken off our bill most likely due to forgetfulness rather than intention. We also initially asked to split the bill into 2 as we have 2 different families, but they still proceeded to bring out one check. We had to do all the math to figure out who owes what and that’s when we discovered the additional items.

We had a delicious meal, the cocktail was perfectly prepared. Cozy atmosphere and good service by Matthew. Perfect Place to be.

Has been shut down by Environmental Health. The signs put up by the pub say closed due to circumstances beyond their control. But a mouse infestation and lack of cleanliness, as stated on the health is within their control

Fantastic experience with my friend from abroad, who was also impressed with the excellent service. Lou was great, she was so friendly, had beautiful manners. Wish other hospitality venues had staff of the same calabour as Lou. Thank you See you again

Great local pub, unpretentious and cosy!

Small traditional pub atmosphere slightly off the beaten track in the city. Dropped in today for a late lunch, the food was great and provided good value for money. Staff were very friendly and the drink selection was good. Will drop in again if I'm nearby for lunch.

Straight up lied to my face on UK licensing laws on kids in pubs (I checked the law afterwards) and think they over charged me too. The pub minus the staff seems decent enough though.

Great food and atmosphere. Very close to the park (and for us on the way home from work). Service is outstanding, especially Nelson, who always remembers us with a friendly hello. He even remembers our usual round. I highly recommend the Duke of Cambridge!
