We had the pleasure of visiting this pub last Sunday whilst visiting friends who recently moved to the area. With a background in hospitality first impressions are so important. We were served by a lovely girl Lou who was just delightful. Took the time to chat and listen and so kind to our boys. Sorry we didn’t get to call back and see the final decorations you were busy at for Halloween but they looked amazing. A friendly face & kindness goes a long way.

Came in for a pub lunch and was delighted to find a Thai menu on offer. The pub area was very quiet while the eating area was at the back. Pity the waiter and service were so disengaged, but the food was excellent. A hidden treat on the High Road!

I’ve been here a few times now and I can say the food is fantastic, the service is great and quick, it’s nice and relaxed inside. One of my favourite comfort restaurants.

Having Thai food (only) served in a British pub is a rather adventurous idea It would be a rightfully exhilarating experience if only the food quality is better The pork curry lacked depth in flavour and the pork slices probably stayed a bit too long in the freezer

Tried the Thai restaurant a couple times. Have to say it's pretty good, feels rather authentic. I'd probably use some more heat on the dishes, gonna ask next time. Recommended.

Im rating temporarily 1 so that this is noticed. I'm a regular at this pub for a year now, and I bring all my friends here to boast about how lovely the staff is, how beautiful the pub looks, and how I have made good friends randomly. This review is about a new female member (or I haven't seen her till now because I generally don't come in on Sundays) of the staff on the evening of 25th August. My friends and I couldn't believe how rude and unpleasant this particular person could be. If you don't like people, please don't work at this pub and ruin it for the patrons and other staff. Right from the time she served us beer because the other wonderful staff had left, she was rude and mumbling over various things. I thought it was a misunderstanding on my part, but she did the same to another man we met at the pub. Cut to a bit later, we are informed that we need to leave, without even a final closing announcement that is usually done by others. When I ask how much time we have, she says "there is no time you need to leave". When we asked as a pleasant request if there are plastic cups to take the full glasses of beer we have left, she shouted "NO. You need to drink it or leave it, and it's time to leave". What kind of language and arrogance is this, and that too shouting so loudly when we are mere feet away? No one is here for charity and we arent trouble makers. Heck, we weren't even talking loudly throughout. It was a simple request to which she could have just said she didnt have any plastic cups, and we would have left right away. Thank you for letting my birthday end on such a sour note. I, and probably every other sane decent person, go to a pub to relax and spread some cheer amicably. We aren't there to make it a hostile argumentative space. I know this incident doesnt reflect the pub and I have utmost respect for everyone else here. But this lady was just not it. The way she was annoyed with us for just existing even raised the question if she was racist. If you have other problems in life, dont channel it to random people. If you are like this generally, then that's just sad.

Each member of staff is incredibly frendily and a great laugh. They are all knowledgeable on the drinks on tap and name great suggestions, Lewis is a legend!!! The food at the restaurant is so tasty with a great selection to choose from. Overall a great place to grab food and a drink. They also have different events happening during the week and the drag bingo is so much fun

Unusual to have to book a table to have a drink in a pub but I guess in Chiswick on a Friday night not surprising. Good atmosphere, pleasant staff, beer a bit pricey. Was all ok till disco was set up at 10 o'clock, then a bit too noisy for us old UN's lol.

I’ve unintentionally become a regular at the Thai restaurant here purely for their Penang curry which is one of the best I have had. The food and drinks are always excellent and service is good and polite.

This is nice local pub serving thai food. I am a fan of green thai curry so I ordered it for lunch today. The curry is good size served with nice portions of rice. Curry itself was spicy (which I like) but a bit too salty ( I try not to eat too much salt). I chose vegetarian option which had good size of veggies in the bowl. Overall tasty food and quick service. Great local place for lunch.

Lovely relaxing bar, super nice staff, and an airy environment. Other people had ordered food and it looked very appealing. The beer tasted as expected, well pulled through, showing it's a well used pub. There are some screens to watch sports in one half of the pub too.

Lovely Fullers pub in West London, enjoyed the ESB.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere. Fast service. Great selection of beer and other drinks. But the food was the highlight for me. I was surprised by how quickly my food arrived. I had forgotten to order rice, and the chef pointed this out to the waitress immediately. The food was by far the best Thai food I have had in London. A perfect balance of spicy hotness and delicious flavour. I took my time eating to prolong the pleasure! I can't recommend it strongly enough. This pub is far from my home, but I will definitely be coming back.

It is a classic English pub. Food was fast done and served. No complaints on that. However, fries were greesy and, for me, was a bit too much simple 😅. There is no gluten free options.

What can I say that hasn't been said. Amazing food from an amazing chef. Service was impeccable, too. Ate here twice over our holiday, it was that good. We normally don't eat the same cuisine twice on holiday if we can help it, but this was by choice. Beautifully prepared and presented. Will be back the next holiday!

This café and restaurant looks traditionally British, but to the surprise of my colleagues and I, it turned out to be a Thai restaurant. The food is good and for a good price. The menus clearly indicate the ingredients of the dishes, plus how spicy they are. This makes it easier if you have special dietary requirements. See also the photos

Chilled for a quick pint on a Friday afternoon

Really great beer choices from smaller breweries across the UK, and the Thai food is delicious and well-priced. Combined with the beautiful pub, itself, this is one of our favourite places in Chiswick.

I’d been to this pub previously and enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere - came back in a Sunday for more drinks and the food experience… AMAZING. The Thai food is absolutely top quality, and even though we were quite a large party, they coped very well. And prices seemed very reasonable too. Very satisfied customers all round!

Good old pub just been renovated

The thai restaurant is ok. Smaller portions, than 3 years ago. Cheerless restaurant service. Bar still good for a pint or a g&t though! New decor this spring including better front patio.

Great pub, had an excellent night. Lewis and Roxie were both great and really made it for me. The stained glass windows are also fantastic and it really feels like a proper English pub. I will be back.

I’ve celebrated Germany legalising at this pub over an exceptionally well curated reggae playlist. 10/10 experience and a memorable Sunday.

Absolutely fantastic experience celebrating my birthday at this pub! The service was great, with incredibly helpful staff making sure everything ran smoothly. The live music and the late night playlist were phenomenal, adding a fantastic vibe to the already lively atmosphere. Special thanks to Lou for assisting with the booking process and to the lovely lady bartender who was present on Saturday - she was incredibly helpful and made our celebration even more memorable.

This pub has been around for years yet has moved with the times to become an irreplaceable part of the local community. The Thai restaurant within serves some of the most authentic tasting dishes available in West London. As for the pub itself, it is spacious, the decor is relaxing and the staff both welcoming and knowledgeable about their range. For this area, the prices are very reasonable. One of the best on Chiswick high road. Would be a shame to walk past....

From the outside, this appears to be a traditional UK pub. When you walk in, the front room and bar would support that initial assumption (and I fine pub, it is). But when you walk past the bar and go left through a smaller, second room, there is a Thai Restaurant waiting for you with tasty Thai meals.

Staff both front of house and back are exceptional.. Food is authentic and well served. Great knowledge of drinks and rotating taps are superb. Lost Jubel on tap which was sad, but obviously wasn't doing the business 😕 Cracking local, with market prices - not outrageously expensive. Great pub.

Some of the best Thai food I have ever had. We ordered most of the menu with my family for my birthday. And all 10 adults and one baby, enjoyed everything. I even got another chicken fried rice to take away. Was just as good the next day when I heated it up. I recommend the Thai restaurant in the Old Pack Horse, Chiswick W4

Repeat visitor from USA and excellent again! First visit since 2018 or 19 I believe and all continues wonderfully.

This pub is homophobic!! Made us feel uncomfortable & unsafe. We left before & left our drinks. We were told to sit away from people?… Avoid this place.

I just stopped here for lunch after noticing a promo board for their Thai Kitchen. inside the pub is surprisingly large and the décor quite inviting. I walked around until finding the restaurant area. Approaching two members of the staff I soon found out it was just the décor that was inviting. I sat down and ordered although my instincts were telling me to leave. Of course, I should have listened. The food, although not bad, was just not memorable or credit worthy and the portion size skimpy for the cost. The service was better when I arose to pay and leave. I will not be returning.

Great pub we stumbled upon on an evening out, great member of staff, friendly, and bigger inside that we thought!! Didn't eat here but think a visit back is in order to try it out!!

The Old Pack Horse is an awesome pub! Serving fabulous thai food and a good selection of beers. Dogs are welcome but only the quiet ones it seems. Our dogs are excitable and made a bit of noise… the only people that complained were the bar staff! All pub patrons ran over to give our dogs a hug. Anyway, an awesome pub all round… have been visiting for 20 years and will continue!

Been here many times as I live nearby. The only good thing about this pub is that they work till very late during weekend. Staff is always rude. But last time they crossed all possible red lines. Was ordering drinks over the bar counter. We were a group of three, so started with G&T and the guy in shorts jumped on doing it without letting me continue, anyway, managed to catch his eyes and asked for a pint of beer, noticing he rolled his eyes but before I could add a third drink he run away to get smth else. When he was back I asked for another drink and was lectured immediately that I should order all drinks together. I thanked him for his advice but he went on telling me that I was wasting his time and should know how to behave in the pub…. Well…. You get your review here, old man in shorts!

Always a delight, never fails to excel

Went for friend birthday dinner and truly enjoyed Thai food. Good atmosphere, delicious Thai food, great customer service, clean place with not too high prices. Very good experience!

Well this was a pleasant surprise. Some friends bought me here for a Thai dinner and my expectations weren't high. But how wrong I was. Our dinner's were excellent, really very tasty, and we received excellent service despite our inability to remember what we ordered. Highly recommended!

One of my favourite pubs in the area. The selection of beers is one of the best in Chiswick, the atmosphere is always good and it stays open a little later than surrounding pubs. They always have different events going on - the last time we visited there was a live DJ playing. The food always looks & smells delicious too.

We went for an early evening meal. It is a beautiful old pub and we were shown to a table in the spacious restaurant at the back. I had the prawn pad nam prick pao which was spicy 🌶️ but you could tell it was freshly cooked with great ingredients. I washed it down with a pint of Pride and a pint of Dark Star Hophead. Both were in good condition and went well with the food. Service was friendly and prompt. I would highly recommend.

Second time here. Review is for thai food: Run by a Thai family. Enjoyed the food. Had pad Thai chicken today..sizeable portion, tasty (though perhaps too sweet towards end) and good value.

Went for 1/2, stayed for 5/6 pints a testament to their pints, staff and general vibe.

Called in for lunch midweek, the barman was super friendly and the Thai curry really tasty and good value.

GREAT Atmosphere. We loved the DJ (Disco) on Friday Night. He had a great energy and had us all dancing/singing. Will def come back when he's next on. Food was lovely and great customer service from a lady called Louise.

Whilst a middle of the road place, it's lively and good value. We liked the cheesy DJ and had a fun night.

Lovely pub with a beautiful bar and good range -- absolutely loved the pride in Sipsmith Gin, which is local to the pub! The mirrored alcove is so pretty. Very friendly staff, and they have an excellent Thai restaurant attached.

It's a pub located just a short walk from Chiswick Park station, on the corner of an intersection. The ambiance inside is great, and it's a comfortable place to relax. They serve Thai food, which is very delicious. My recommendations are the Pad Thai and fried rice. Speaking of Chiswick, it's known for Fuller's Brewery, and you can also enjoy Fuller's beer here. Please note that on Friday nights, it turns into a club, so if you're looking to relax quietly, be cautious."

Good Thai for the uk but very western! Too sweet no sour flavours and courgettes in a curry why? If you can’t do traditional just leave it out!

I just popped to this pub for a beer. It's early and I enjoyed some quiet time to enjoy my point and rested. I loved the atmosphere and the service was great with an amazing recommendation to try a beer.

This restaurant is within the pub, in a separate area at the rear but very pleasant. Great tempura prawns. Nice pork stir fry. All other means we’re good. Service was good. Good menu with lots of choices. Would we return …yes! ££

We went in for the Drag bingo and some Thai food. Drag bingo is on the first Tuesday of each month. 2 Drag stars performing with bingo and generous prizes.

Went here the other week with friends from work. The food and service was excellent but unfortunately we won't go as often as we would like, or stay as long because there is no accessible toilet and one of our group is a wheelchair user.

Place was filled with blokes who I’m 60% sure were racist. Poured me a bad pint and then told me to get out after a drank it too quickly for their liking. Won’t be returning
