The Castle Inn in Hounslow

We had come for Sunday lunch and in the dining area the large table we went to wobbled and the table top was loose . The table we did sit as was slightly better , we had roast dinner the vegetables were well peppered as was the mash. The chicken and lamb although soft was sliced and put on the plate and served. The men’s toilet was flooded and flys were doing the backstroke in water on the floor , there was no visible sign on the door saying out of order, although the staff we spoke to seemed to know about it.

Terrible atmosphere. Don't know who is staff or not . £5 entry for a dj playing and then tried to put my drink in a plastic glass so I refused to buy the drink and walked out. It seems the regulars are OK to drink out of a glass but not anyone else. After we left they posted a video on the group after we left with complete different people and the regulars with there glasses. Wouldn't step foot in there again . Also coke glass was rotten aswell.

The Castle became my local in October 2022 and been through 2 management changes but have to say the new landlords Eddie and Tracey have improved the place dramatically and love going down! Great food and the overall atmosphere is great!! You feel part of a community here! No fights or arguments!. If your looking for a chilled place place to drink and make some new pals this is the place to be!

I just had a birthday party there and it was the best ever...The Dj they had Rico was brilliant the food was too and the Atmostphere was the best ever...I live in Acton but this pub i regard is my local now...Well worth the £14.00 taxi fare home...Saturdays i believe is barbeque and Disco nights now its Summer..If you like 80s and 90s disco No place beats the Castle on Saturday nights .

The Castle Isleworth is interesting and my kind of place. A great bold building from the twentieth century. An open building with a horseshoe/island bar taking centre stage. It appears there should be a couple of Young's beers and Old Rosie on cask, all turned round though😕. A selection of Keg beers and ciders in their place. A pool table in the conservatory and a courtyard garden at the rear. This place is trying, I wish it all the success. Pop in and have a pint. Great open fire for the inclement days.

A useful place to know when the rugby happens to clash with a televised Brentford game - they play both

The new proprietors still seem to be finding their feet. There wasn't any ale on tap when we visited.

Still yet to try the food but it's a great pub I intend to go back to. ❤️

It's friendly, fun and has fantastic food!!! It has the best pool players in the area, has open mic night every Thursday and had a soulful music played by a DJ most Saturday's. Eddie and Tracey who are the new landlords have done an amazing job.

Wonderful welcome by the owner Brian who recommend the delicious sea bass fillets at a very reasonable price. Will eat here again. Great variety of drinks and live music bands including Alix Anthony blues and funk. What’s not to like?

Great place, it wasn't hard to find. I love the location of the venue. I ate very well, excellent service, very friendly staff. I had a nice night with my friends and enjoyed it as there was a band playing, great atmosphere, would love to go back there again.

Lacking personality, draught beers not that tasty, beer garden feels like you're in a carpark. Didn't eat so I can't comment on food. It's okay....

Popped in to the Castle yesterday and had an impromptu Sunday roast. The new landlord Brian is wonderful and is really trying to inject some style and life into this pub. My roast chicken was absolutely delicious, washed down with a perfect glass of Malbec, and the service was impeccable! The pub was very busy and had a great atmosphere whilst we watched the football. Which made my partner very happy indeed! Would highly recommend!!

Another sports pub down the pan. New ownership has taken all the sports TV out, wants to turn it into a cocktail bar. He has stripped out all the sports memorabilia that made it a good rugby/ football pub. Wouldn’t bother going down there before rugby matches, you won’t be welcome. Another cocktail bar that won’t work and one less pub for the locals. I’ll give it a year and it’ll be boarded up.

Lovely place. Food is great, staff are welcoming, car park in the back, pool table. Reasonable prices considering the location

Went in, had 2 beers and left. I tried to talk to the bar staff while there but they were pretty disinterested in engaging with conversation, seemed a bit moody. The hospitality is to be desired and I wouldn't't actively choose to go again

Good beer - food is excellent value and great eating

Amazing pub...very spacious and loads of room to sit and eat in comfort...great fish and chips and the Young's bitter is second to none...worth a visit..great darts throw as well... Just returned last for a quiet drink , sat in the garden and enjoyed one of the nicest burgers with all the trimmings. The fries were to die for. Yummy.

Saturday, 8pm and this welcomes you at the door... Didnt look like it was private party - place was almost dead, few people inside. Didnt feel like going in really and we didnt in the end. Its a chain pub. Way to go...:/

Poor selection of draft beers / ales, damp and old. The place is in desperate need of a refurbishment, its really depressing. An odd crowd gather here.

Friendly pub but too quiet and needs music

Very Accomodating. More than happy to do take away meals for 91yr old house bound lady. Nothing is too much trouble. Also very nice to sit in for a really nice Sunday lunch. We highly recommend this establishment.

Perfect steak with a pint of Young’s. Chips are superb and the steak perfectly cooked to order - will be back for more if this soon :)

Great place, with a good atmosphere and super friendly staff! Good drafts on tap, nice outdoor area with heaters, and have a snooker table inside. They are dog friendly and were very accommodating to my young puppy also, would highly recommend.

Friendly, spacious local pub. Great for watching sport with several big screens , with two separate eating areas, one quite large which can be hired out privately. There are also tables in a decent sized rear garden. If your lucky, you'll be greeted by Buddy, the friendly pub black labrador.

This place should be nicer than it is. The owner (and those before) have clearly made an effort- it’s just always seemed a bit off the mark. They also need to update their events signs! Music nights are worth a trip and to be fair, you can always get a seat when other pubs are rammed.

Over priced at around £3:50 per pint but clean and friendly environment.

Watched a few world cup matches here. Nice enough pub although it is on the expensive side. Food is pretty good quality and ore reasonably priced than the drinks. Small car park and the council charges a fortune in operational hours. And don't drink and drive, folks!

I cannot recommend this pub highly enough! The food is delicious, good vegetarian options, spacious, with excellent staff. Sports shown on TVs if that's your thing but not intrusive. Carpark at the side and outdoor eating available. I cannot rate this pub enough!!

not a lover of jerk chicken. but here its amazing. so hard to get it right but zanas carabian kitchen at the the castle is spot on.

Zana's Caibbean food night is amazing just had the Brown Stew Chicken. Packed with flavour and good price, would defoo recommend

Went there yesterday prior to the rugby at Twickenham, great atmosphere, friendly efficient staff and great pub grub. Makes a change from gastropubs which disappoint.

Had Sunday lunch and the food was excellent. First time I have been in this pub and it's been pleasantly refurbished. The restaurant area is comfortable, the portions are big, staff friendly, the only thing that could be improved is not having the TV on in the dining area but if I had asked for the TV to be turned off I am sure the staff would have obliged.
