Nikki's Bakery in Hounslow

Truly excellent pastries. Huge range of baked foods both sweet and savoury. We had a chorizo and tomato pastry. Wonderful taste and texture.

Food is nice but staff are just really rude. Went in recently and was browsing food items and woman that works there barked at me to move down to the till if I wanted to be served. Promptly ordered, ate and left. Won’t be going back

I recently visited Nikki's Bakery and while the food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent, the prices are difficult to justify. For example, a plain croissant is £2.45, while a ham and cheese croissant is a staggering £5.65. This huge price jump is hard to understand, especially since the taste is comparable to other bakeries in the area where these items are more affordable. The quality does not seem to match the premium pricing, and the cost difference between the plain and filled croissants feels excessive. Two croissants + two drinks costed me around £24. While I enjoyed my visit, the steep prices make it hard to rate it 5 stars.

Smelt amazing upon entering with fresh croissants being baked behind the counter. We only had two coffees and an almond croissant. Cost was £12. Both coffees were delicious and the almond croissant was fresh and warm. Would come back

This place looked great, went in, so many delicious things. Waited at the counter. Waited. Lots of staff wondering around looking lost. Continued to wait. Went to the till, same story. Staff could see me standing there and not one came to say anything, even ‘someone will be right with you’. Totally blanked. When a guy in a green shirt finally came on to the till he said ‘Hi can I take your order’ and didn’t even make eye contact. I said ‘No!’ And walked out. Probably the worst ‘service’ I’ve had, and it’s only a cafe! Not sure what was so difficult for them. Went up the road to a place by the flower stalls, sold EXACTLY the same things and got served within a minute or two by a really friendly lady. Spent a decent amount, left a decent tip. Glad I didn’t waste my money or any more of my time at Nikki’s.

We ordered two milkshakes and a pain au chocolat, and they were really tasty. The service was polite and kind, and the place was very clean. Definitely a place worth visiting.

It took a while for the staff to take my order. Given that I was the only customer waiting at the service point I was surprised that the two staff on duty were busy doing other tasks for at least 5 minutes - there was no acknowledgement of me waiting. I nearly walked out but finally I was served in a polite and professional manner. Subsequently my order never arrived to my table. In fairness my money was refunded - annoying in cash rather than a credit card refund. After this poor experience wandered down to Ole & Steen for my coffee which was a tad more expensive but well worth it for staff efficiency.

It took a long while for me to place an order - I was the only customer at the service point. Subsequently my order never arrived to my table. Quite how both the above points could happen on a particularly quiet morning is beyond me. Given the many coffee shops on Chiswick High Road I shall explore other options for my morning coffee. Service and organisation not good.

I had a wonderful breakfast at nikkis, and it exceeded all expectations. The service was excellent, with the staff being both attentive and welcoming, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal. The food was delicious, offering a great variety of breakfast options, all freshly prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance of the restaurant was also a highlight, with its beautiful decor and cozy atmosphere creating the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. It's a fantastic place to start your day, and I highly recommend visiting for a delightful breakfast experience.

Amazing cafe with such a buzz Very unassuming from the outside but the moment you enter, WOW!! The food and dessert is really good! The biggest challenge is choosing from all the amazing eats! I had the salmon baguette and a coffee. Both were fantastic. I will definitely be back to try more.

I feel that there are better places to eat in Chiswick with lower prices.

I'm going to be honest- I've only had 1 thing here. But that is after going to many other bakeries to find one closest to what I was after. The Pistachio Croissant. I come here for this and this alone- it is totally worth it. I don't know what anything else tastes like but I think it's worth a try!

I desperately needed to get a platter of sandwiches for a business meeting last minute and no supermarket was available . But i was pleasantly suprised to see this bakery to be very flexible with preparing a platter in such a short amount of time. Fantastic service and high quality of food +++

Had some amazing cakes made for my sister's birthday. So yummy!! Gluten free and low carb. I wanted to take some photos of the cakes but they disappeared without a trace! Highly recommend the bakery. Thank you Maria.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Bring a good book or journal while enjoying a sweet pastry or have a coffee with a friend. It's spacious and the sun roof all make it feel very fresh, sunny, warm and cozy. Everyone is very nice and you feel well looked after whether a long or short sitting.

We visited this cafe in the middle of the day, and they closed while we were still having our coffee! What kind of cafe on the high street starts closing at 3:30pm?! UK is stressful enough without cafés, one of the few places for relaxation, contributing to the problem. If you don’t want to stay open, don’t open a coffee shop- leave the space available for a company willing to do the job. UK is already has too few places to relax

Ordered a cake for a birthday, it was really delicious and not too sweet. It was a little dense, but very balanced and a good portion.

I came here with a friend and the staff were very welcoming upon entrance. This was our first time here and we were very appreciative of the customer service that we experienced. The variety of foods were amazing and i highly recommended visiting.

The coffee and pastries are my favourite, as well as the lunch options. High recommend if passing through Chiswick.

The cake slices and pastries they have available are amazing. Although it becomes very busy at times during the weekend, the staff are always helpful and polite. I definitely recommend stopping by for a pastry and coffee.

Where shall i start!! bad service, unprofessional waiter/owner, we waited until we got served, had the coffee cake, couldn’t finish it, we didn’t like it for several reasons, we highlighted to the waiter and she said she would change it, which is the minimum a coffee shop would do to satisfy their customer, then a lady came to investigate and her behavior was rough and rude, very rude. Anyway we left without finishing the drinks and we refused the alternative cake which was offered in a very unprofessional and rude attitude. Please teach your waiters to be welcome instead of being rude.

This is my favorite place, the cappuccino is the best in Chiswick. They make fabulous ham & cheese croissants! I love the friendly environment here. You feel at home. They are fabulous!

I think it's the first time I prefer savoury over sweets in a bakery. Probably because the sweets didn't taste as fresh as the savoury options (pistachio was tasty, but the croissant felt old, very old). The folded margherita pizza is very basic but tasty. - biscoff cake was very sad, unfortunately + the chicken and pesto sandwich is delicious Kudos to the barista, one of the best soya lattes I've had in West London. But the place definitely needs to improve on cleaning tables and the toilet.

Beautiful little bakery let down by food, ordered a spicy tuna baguette and it was just spicy tuna on bread, no butter, no lettuce or rocket or anything, was very average. I would stick to the sweet treats. Staff were quite dismissive and disorganised, but it was in the middle of a Sunday, so quite busy.

One word: wow. We stumbled upon this cute cafe strolling around Chiswick and my first ever taste of their deliciousness was a birthday cake I was surprised with for my birthday in October. Two days ago, strolling around again we decided to go in for an afternoon munch and we were not disappointed. First of all our little dog was welcomed in so that was already a nice touch but then the atmosphere was super welcoming and inviting. The scent of cinnamon and fresh coffee was present which made our experience feel even more homely. We opted for the sandwiches although the full English looked enticing. Both our sandwiches were absolutely delicious and so were my cinnamon roll and my partner’s chocolate and orange cake. I also had a chocolate milkshake that was incredibly nice and my partner a delicious coffee. As we were walking out I had it in my head to leave a review because we felt well looked after and we enjoyed our time there tremendously. Highly recommend this place. Thank you

I am Nikki Bakery customer and appreciate the café for its excellent coffees, sandwiches, and pastries, coupled with a delightful ambiance. It's an ideal place to catch up with friends, work, or simply enjoy a satisfying meal. While Chiswick boasts several good cafes, Nikki stands out as the best among them.

Really nice little cafe, with hidden space for seating further in at the back. Top notch pastries, crisp, lovely flavours and all far too nice to not eat at least one every visit. Coffee s made nice and smoothly, not bitter at all. Chicken n pesto sandwich was very tasty, and quiche lorraine had a touch soggy base but lovely flavour combination that made up for it. They've got lots of christmas biscuits and cakes and also the elusive panettone.

One of the best coffees in Chiswick. The different varieties of croissants available are amazing and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to come for a drink and pastry. Also have tried the sandwiches and will definitely say they all look appetizing. Definitely will recommend the chicken pesto sandwich. They even have it on gluten free bread!!! I will definitely say the staff is also very friendly and welcoming on entrance, and are willing to always help you if anything is needed.

We loved it here. We we’re staying in London for five days and went every morning to this bakery for breakfast. The employees behind the counter were really kind and the food was delicious. Would always have breakfast there again.

They are definitely doing something right with thise low carb cakes...ooih so tasty. Try the blueberrt and yogurt and the chocolate cake...yup, low carb, amazing looking and delish. Vegan sausage roll and pizza pocket is really delicious too

Tasty italian food and sweet threats however, as this is our second visit here, the customer service level is kinda low. Today, on our arrival, we counted six empty tables, full of dirty dishes. There were four staff members on the floor, two behind the bar and another two hanging around, all of them busy with conversations. Ofter ordering coffee and cakes, we had to ask the guy behind the till to get one of the tables cleaned for us, which, reading from his expression, was really offensive. With us just standing ther for approx 6-7 minutes, he called someone from back of the house to pick up plates and cups from one of the tables to make space for our order. Same happened later with other guests, as while sitting we observed what's was happening. Tables just cleaned from plates and cups, not a single one wiped clean. Not returning for third time Summary, good food, low standard cleaning and service.

A very wide variety of choices here, and we enjoyed the quiches and chocolate croissants. They were patient with us as we asked a lot of questions about what was on offer. We will be back to try other items, that is for sure.

Me and my boyfriend were craving a breakfast and wanted to try out this cafe. We went in and looked at the menu, narrowly missing the fact on the door it said 'takeaway menu'. With these prices in mind we proceeded to go in. We went to the till and paid more than we were expecting, but still within reason. My iced latte and breakfast was a bit more expensive than I was anticipating as the prices were under takeaway pricing; this however was not reinforced by the servers. In the cafe, it may be implied that either you sit down and then grab a menu and go to the till to order (a bit of an inconvenience) or you go directly to the till to not be told what to do by the incompetent staff. With the unexpected price, I questioned the lady at the till and then said where does it say this price? She said it was on the menu that we were never offered for dine in. I continued to be trivial as the price was not established or shown in the right way. Even on the board it says the takeaway price of a full English, but not the dine in price. Not many people would take away a full English as it is I would imagine! When I asked a couple of times where the price was, I returned to the door to double check and it did say 'takeaway price' and I admitted my mistake. An Indian lady who was working proceeded to shout at me about the pricing, I've never been so offended in my life. I felt embarrassed when I sat down but proceeded to have my food, which was lovely, but tainted by a rude member of staff. If I were to go to this cafe again, I hope this member of staff is no longer present. As a past server of 10 years, no such person should be in that industry.

Plenty of breakfast options - English, continental, healthy. Also they did just toast (sour dough) with butter and jam. Only improvement would be to serve Vegemite! Also would do large coffees in mugs. (Hard to get in a small bakery)

Nikki's provided the most amazing cake and cupcakes for my wife's 60th birthday. A mixture of main birthday cake and 5 types of cupcakes to satisfy 100 guests. Every one was eaten👍

Amazing service and the cake is unbelievable we asked for a mermaid cake with reference photos and a number 6 made up of buns, everything was perfect with unbelievable detail we will definitely be getting a cake from Nikki again. The cake is so good we didn't even want to cut it 😂. 5/5 in every aspect, the cake and buns also taste amazing. The cake even had the beautiful touch of lights which was a wonderful surprise!

Staying nearby and walked passed on a couple of occasions, on our last morning we popped in for a pistachio croissant each and a cup of tea. Croissant was amazing, so glad we don't live close, would be too tempting. Noted comments from other reviews about staff, one was decidedly less smiley. Didn't put us off, food too tasty.

Really lovely cafe on Chiswick high street. Nice outdoor & indoor seating, huge selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches. I had the tuna sandwich and it was delicious, on a lovely soft panini bread. We actually enjoyed it so much we went back later in the day for some pastries for dessert! Very reasonably priced.

I passed by this morning to get a croissant on my way to work. When I got it in it was like I was invisible. The lady of the staff looked at me and turned her back. I had to call her attention while standing at the counter - keep in mind that it wasn't busy with people at all. No hello, no good morning and no smile. Extremely unpleasant and rude. The croissant was OK but too sweet - this is obviously a taste preference. The price was OK too but I'm not coming back

Average coffee made slowly at top prices! The pastries are great as you would expect for £4 but don't plan on having it with your drink, that'll come 15 mins later even whilst it's quiet! Why bother with a saucer if it doesn't fit?

I don’t disagree that Nikki’s has virtually something that you could want to eat and drink. However, this is a basic these days and I base my experience on staff friendliness. I was greeted well enough and allowed to take in my dog, which is always a plus. One of the ladies (I don’t know if she’s Nikki), had only a stern, unfriendly face throughout. I don’t expect staff to walk about like smiling idiots, but your day and most importantly their day will go much better without a constant frown.

We got breakfast here a few mornings during our week in Chiswick. Good selection of pastries, sandwiches and drinks. Their hot chai latte is excellent. My husband was very pleased with his eggs and toast. Cute, reliable bakery/cafe for a quick morning bite.

They don’t have clear allergy advice, when I asked about a specific ingredient, they said the weren’t sure and didn’t think it contained it, which isn’t a no, and when I tried to explain the need to know and question further the guy talked over me and replied with a sarcastic tone. Anyway, it’s Chiswick so lots of other options and one of them will be able to say yes or no to allergies

Wanted to pop in as my name is Nikki so thought I’d grab a bite here today. Was with my daughter, stepped in the door and was asked by a guy if he could help to which I replied that I was going to take a look at the menu. The woman behind the counter spoke to him in whatever language and started laughing - we then left. Extremely rude behaviour so I would avoid this place for the bad vibes that the staff give out before you even sit down.

Found pieces of mould in chocolate marble cake. Crazy, I’m shocked.

Good space inside and plenty of options of baked goods and sandwiches. (The ham one is delicious). There is also plenty of breakfast and drinks options. Coffee was very good, not too hot and good beans. What more could you want?

I don’t have any bad comments about food and bakery but owners / managers of this place obviously don’t know about the customer satisfaction. They don’t have any idea about how to please the customers. In brief I would say they are absolutely rude people. When you go there at around 3pm, please be careful that you may be asked to leave because they close the shop at 4pm 😀 additionally they start to clean the shop at 3:15pm.

Today we had the worst experience ever on a place you normally go to relax and enjoy the environment. Imagine you arrive on a place and first comment you hear is that you need eat fast as they are concerned with the time to close, the detail is that is was 15:45 and the place only close at 16:30, so what is the point, for me was a clear signal for you no even to enter. Lasting 10 minutes the manager could come and just kindly reminder that we will close soon, that would be more than enough to finish, pay and leave. To close the horrible experience we the same manager which warn us that we only had 45 minutes to take a coffee, come to my table and asked me if was possible to give a carrot cake back as she had wrongly sold for us and for another deliver order and that was the last piece. Imagine my wife and my son face, needing to give the cake back after already paid as the manager could not manage her work well. I hope the owner could see it and really pay more attention and take actions to treat customers as they deserve or expect to be tested. You can have the best cakes, bread, cookies, but if there is no customers that is all useless!

Big selection of pastries and cake. We had a pain aux raisin which was very good. The ham and cheese croissant was decent. Staff were polite and service is good. We were there near closing time and didn't feel rushed Toilet was very clean too. Overall a very pleasant experience
