I attended my Christmas work party at this pub, and it started off empty. Despite having five staff members behind the bar, the service was really slow, and they didn’t seem to notice who had been served. I asked for the price of a bottle of prosecco and was initially told £36.50. However, when I went to pay, they charged me £38. Since it was a party, I paid for it, but when I ordered another bottle later, they charged me £36.50. I pointed out the previous overcharge, jokingly asking if the price changed like the stock market. Instead of apologizing, the manager rudely told me not to be like that and simply offered to refund the difference. Several of my colleagues also got overcharged, particularly on beer, with prices fluctuating from £6 to £8. I'm starting to wonder if they overcharge everyone who’s there to have a good time. The service was awful. I also ordered an 8oz steak, but half of it was fat, and when I mentioned this to the waitress, they just ignored me. Since then, I’ve had no follow-up call or refund from the establishment.

Lovely Sunday Roast and brilliant Bloody Mary's

Came to the roebuck on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The service was attentive and friendly. Food came in under 15 minutes and was exceptional. Overall no complains, very pleasant experience. Will be coming back.

Best calamari starter I've ever had and spicy cauliflower SO good. Free fizzy carafes of water was surprise bonus and all the staff were delightful and attentive. Highly recommend and will be returning. Yum yum! 😋

We had a family reunion Sunday lunch here. We were a really big party, adults and also small children and they coped brilliantly. Very efficient, very friendly, would strongly recommend the Roebuck. (And plenty of gravy, a key Sunday lunch test. )

This is quite great pub with good food and an excellent wine list. The menu changes regularly but is always excellent and well priced. Staff are always attentive and great at their job

Outstanding - the best gastro pub for miles. The food and the service are superb - we came for a Sunday roast but also had the crab linguine. Elliot and the team were so attentive and friendly. We felt really looked after - they even created a special cauliflower cheese for us!

I recently visited this pub and was absolutely delighted! A cozy atmosphere, as if you are in another era - soft light, wooden tables and soulful music create a truly relaxing atmosphere. The menu pleasantly surprised us with its variety: an excellent selection of beer for every taste, from classic varieties to unusual craft options. The food served here is surprisingly tasty - I especially liked the signature appetizers and juicy burgers. The service is excellent: the waiters are friendly, attentive and quickly respond to requests. This place is great for get-togethers with friends and cozy evenings alone. I will definitely come back here again!

I went to the Roebuck with a large group of family visiting from the US. The place was quite busy for a Wednesday night so the vibe was energetic & fun. We had a super nice meal. Some ate fish, others' duck and others burgers. Everyone reported the food being delicious. My cousin who had the duck said it was her best meal in London. High Praise. The staff could not do enough for us - fast and smiley. I highly recommend the Roebuck for any occassion.

A wonderful experience all round, a welcome like no other from manager hosting dining area, straight to our table for free filtered water (never experienced this before in London), service was great drinks and food arrived promptly after ordering and boy was it good, roasts were to die for with the options of additional cauli cheese and pigs in blankets (who doesn’t love pork wrapped in pork), can’t wait to come back, can’t argue with a bottle of house wine at 25.50 in London nowadays especially with the quality of this indigenous Spanish drop. 100% recommend, thank to Josh and his team a bunch of super stars, a must must must if you’re in west London

I absolutely love this pub! Great location. Great beer garden what more can you want..oh wait, plus, if you’re gluten free then this place has it covered. The beer (GF IPA ON TAP) , the food, everything. You need to come! Even if you don’t have an allergy. Best gastropub!!! And not forgetting the great staff!!

I have been going here for years but this was the first time since the refurb earlier this year. I booked a table for 6 outside in the courtyard. The courtyard is covered with a retractable roof - great for a British summer- but can get noisy when busy. Service at the table was very good- attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent and very good value with a good selection of wine and beer.

Best in Chiswick. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Food options are plenty and the Gluten Free Options are extensive. Good for families, couples, dogs etc. HIGHLY recommend!!

Great location nicely laid out with great receptive service. Food a little bland and unfortunately overpriced. Though must say possibly as portions little bigger than some of the preprepared meals served due to the cost/price ratio over service choice made by higher end chain pub/restaurants nowadays.

It has been a long time since I walked into a reastraunt and didn't have to ask if they had gluten-free options as the majority of the menu is!!! The quality of the food served was exceptional and one of the best gluten-free pies I have ever had. It was presented well, and tastebuds are very happy. The staff were great. The atmosphere, even on a weekday afternoon, was chilled and relaxed; I will definitely be adding the Roebuck to my return to list.

Beer garden was incredible for the euros.

Love this pub! Such a good vibe and great food. They make a big effort with the beer garden too - it’s even ski chalet themed in the winter!

Went for their fabulous Sunday Roast. Was immediately drawn to the 'Tomahawk' sharing platter. Came with all the trimmings. Cooked to perfection absolutely delicious. We shared Lemon cheese cake for dessert refreshing. Staff very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Thanks to all the team at the Roebuck for organising and looking after our group of 35 for for after work drinks and pizzas last week. We had a great night!

We are frequent guests at the Roebuck and LOVE the pub and the team! We recently hosted our Son's 21st birthday party in the garden with our friend's Daughter who turned 18 and it was AMAZING! We were well looked after from start to finish - by Josh and Elliott as we set-up the for the party, they did their absolute best to ensure the video montage we put together for both the birthday peeps ran smoothly during the evening on the screen in the garden! They were fantastic! We were looked after by Amy and Ava throughout the evening! They were absolutely brilliant, their service was impeccable and they kept checking in with us on budget which we kept extending as we were all having such a good time, brought food at times we asked for and served all our guests - there were over 60 of us! 5 star all the way, attentive, professional, and always with a smile! We can't thank the team enough for making our party so special and exceeding our expectations on all accounts! Thank you to the chefs too, the nibbles were delicious and pizzas awesome! Thank you!

Had a meal here a few weeks ago. Modern pub with a restaurant at the back. Had Tim Taylor’s landlord which is always a plus. The burger was nice but the cheese was very potent and smelly which was a bit much and dominated the whole meal. Even my Dad commented on the smell. Nice place but wouldn’t obviously have the burger.

Don’t expect quick service ! This is the 2nd time we’ve been here after refurbishment of the restaurant honestly never known anything quite like it .. kitchen is simply chaotic we had to wait well over an hour and 20 minutes for Sunday lunch .. I honestly can say we will not be coming back .. and we haven’t even tasted the food yet !!

Had a lovely Sunday roast on Father’s Day. Generally we don’t leave any pub or restaurant (even high end ones) being 100% satisfied as we cook REALLY good roasts at home. But this was an exception. Yorkshires and roasties still not quite as good as at home but everything else especially the meat was gorgeous. Service was also very very good for what was a busy Father’s Day. It wasn’t cheap but not ridiculous considering the location.

Great pub, great food. I took my son there for dinner this evening and we were served by a new chap (Lonny? - apologies if I’ve not got the name quite right) who couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. Highly recommend.

I really don't know what to say. There's was a delay with the pizza and they came to apologise, they then offered a complimentary drink while we were waiting. In the end they removed the pizzas from the bill!!! Because if the delay! And we didn't even say a word, we didn't complain! Amazing! I haven't seen this good customer service in London for years! I used to go to this place more often in the past and loved everything about it. Tonight I took my fiend there and the food was great,unlike the service we received. The waitress did not pay much attention to us, even this place was not busy at all. We had our meal, some coffee and we were chatting as the other friend joined us and had some food. The waitress approached us asking if we wanted anything else or we want the bill. I was shocked with this attitude. If I want the bill, I will ask for it. The place was nearly empty so the table was not needed. Basically she was saying to get lost if we are not ordering anything else. As I was looking at her in a shock, my friend said yes for the bill. It seemed we had to pay and go. She brought it and put in front of my friend, on the other side of the table. How did she presume she would be paying, I wonder. I paid the bill but I was very disappointed with the service tonight. There is something aggressive about her approach and she should be trained to be more polite and respectful. I wanted my friend to have a nice experience, but we were all shocked with her approach. Food, very good. Customer service, no.

Nice Chiswick pub. Toilets were really filthy no soap or loo roll so dropped it to 4 star.

Everything was “adequate” but nothing really stood out as exceptional. Would I go back? No.

The Roebuck is at 5 minutes from Turnham Green station (Piccadilly and District lines). Really nice atmosphere and interiors, with a quite big garden as well. Excellent service. Unfortunately our expectations on the Sunday Roast were a big higher (my partner roast was a big chewy) but after all is a full 4 out of 5 star. Really good the Toffee Sticky Pudding. We spent £87.5 for 2 Sunday Mix Roast (beef and porchetta with all the trimmings), 2 glasses of red wine and 1 shared desert.

Couldn't get what I wanted because they had run out of stock They could have gone next door to sainsbury's and made a purchase within 5 minutes Then a replacement was offered but never arrived !! Had to go back to the bar and remind them And my item was getting cold 🥶 by now

We just went for Mother’s Day to the Roebuck in Chiswick. Great food obviously with the roast but they also offer other meal alternatives like Linguine with Devon crab which was delicious and served very hot. Importantly the service was 5 star for that day with the manager superb and the waitresses offering Sterling service and the pub was full with a great ambiance

Our friends who were with us were on a small holiday, they also want to say how impressed they were with the service, the excellent food & overall ambiance of the Roebuck.

Nice enough pub with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. We ordered the 4 side plates for £28 and I have to say the portion sizes were pretty poor. Buffalo wings were very tasty as was the squid but if I'd paid £7.50 for these as they cost outside of the offer id have been very disappointed. They simply aren't big enough portions in comparison to other pubs. To be expected the pardon peppers was a decent serving but the biggest let down and quite frankly a rip off was the 7 tiny chipolata sausage which suggested on the menu they came with bacon and they didn't. The fact any establishment thinks they can charge a pound each for an inch and a half sausage is baffling especially when they weren't very good. Not value for money at all so avoid those is my advice. The main menu items we saw coming out of the kitchen looked good so will be back to try some of these but as first impressions go this wasn't great especially as with drinks we spent £100 on a lunch

We had xmas dinner i could not believe it was done on the bar counter never seen this before and food was microwaved was not fresh at all for 95 pounds was very dissapointed im going to look into whty it wasnt done in the kitchen was not worth the money

Amazing Food!! 5* Friendly Service 😎👌 This is our 2nd time to the Roebuck for Sunday lunch and it was as good as the first. I’d go as far to say one of the nicest Sunday lunches ever … and I’m 50 and eaten a fair few!! … really delicious and maaaassive portions!! Also they offer their Sunday roasts and other menu with mainly gluten free ingredients which means you don’t lose half your plate if asking for a gluten free option. I was able to enjoy the gravy, sausage, stuffing etc and for non gluten diners you wouldn’t notice the difference - everything tastes spot on! What’s equally as good as the food is the excellent service. All the staff are super friendly and will check in to see everything’s okay and come round and offer extra gravy and spuds. They really look after you and just a really nice team. Special thanks to Elliot and Chad!! Good decor and layout inside the pub which is in a good location right on Chiswick high st. Playing some classic 80-90s rock and pop in the background… so win win all round!! Leaving very happy … and extremely full 🤤😋😃👍👍

Wonderful all round bar and dining experience, welcomed in by a cosy bar area with a mixture of high and low tables as well as plenty of standing space at the bar. The dining room is perfect environment for a meal with friends or couples with table service from the friendly staff to make sure you can just relax and enjoy the experience. We was shocked to see courtyard garden fully covered and heated with its own outdoor bar and pizza kitchen this has to be one of Chiswicks best kept secrets. The menu is a mixture of pub classics, fantastic nibbles and some great seasonal specials such as pigeon and venison, no menu on the high street can compete. A great array of quality lagers and craft beers from the bar along with cocktails and some high quality reasonably priced wines. Defiantly one to check out, a special place at the heart of the high street

The food was so tasty! We were able to get celiac safe (<20ppm gluten) gluten free food there which was exciting, and the gluten free fish and chips was incredible! You’d never know it was gluten free. Loved the atmosphere, too - very cozy.

We had a really disappointing evening last night here. On arrival the staff looked harassed and over stretched. Customers were frustrated trying to get their attention. The food was very mediocre - I had a dry and stodgy lentil pasta dish. I left most of it but after waiting for our dishes to be cleared for ages the waitress finally removed them with no interest or comment. They need a lot more staff and to rethink some of their dishes. On previous visits this place was much better and its a great location so it was very disappointing

I've been going to this pub since 2010, and it has consistently been my top choice for business meetings. The combination of delectable food and outstanding desserts has elevated the overall experience. In fact, some of my most successful business discussions have taken place right here.

Popped in here for a quick afternoon drink. It was a sunny day so we sat in the garden. Very well kept, clean pub with nice staff. The beer garden is mostly under cover which is good as it was too sunny to sit out. I just had a vodka and cranberry but they serve different cocktails. I've eaten here before and it was good, the meze platter. We didn't eat this time but the menu looked good so we'll be back. The garden gets busy in the summer but the inside is huge and they have an extensive menu.

On a sunny day, I don't think any other Chriswick pubs would beat it for food, location, beer selection and pizza choices. One of our favourites when in town and a nice kids experience as well

Went for a roast on Bank Holiday Monday with my fiancée, the service from the staff was welcoming, professional and friendly. The food was delicious and we’ll definitely be returning. The only fault was a mosquito bit my face, but that’s on them.

Great staff, good food and excellent range of food, lovely ambience. Great garden too. Last visit had one roast, one pizza, 2 starters & 2 sides between 4 of us - all cooked brilliantly & food came quickly. Have also popped in for just drinks & chips. Staff always very friendly & helpful.

Morden style pub, with good seating areas, and they have few TV screens playing the football, so that's always a good look. Check it out if you're in the area!

Nice pub with an outdoor seating area. I wouldn't quite call it a garden as it's all paved, but it's mostly covered to provide shade and rain cover. Pizzas are served from the outside oven as well as the usual pub grub available from the kitchen.

Came for dinner on Sunday whilst staying in the area. From start to finish this place was fantastic! Top quality service, exceptional Sunday lunch and beautiful beer garden area! We will definitely come back again and this place will be worth the 2hr drive from home ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
