Ok food, but not special at all. Waiting for a burger for 1 hour, not great, taste average, quite small portion actually. Overall just average, just a nice location.

A lovely gastropub on Albert Embankment where the staff are friendly and very experienced. The atmosphere is electric or it was while I was in there with groups laughing and enjoying themselves, one to visit if in the area.

Only a short visit but service was quick, the atmosphere was nice and the Venue was lovely. Saw the bar staff helping some tourists for the best route to get to their destination. Will definitely visit for longer next time

Lovely pub with great service. The staff were very nice and the food served fairly quickly. The food however was very disappointing especially for the price I paid 🫠 The chicken roast lacked seasoning and the Yorkshire pudding was more like a cake.

Sunday roast not good. Over priced. 5 of us went. Good service I had lamb. It was soft dry I had to send it back. The next lamb came out and wasn't,t much better . Was changed to the pork which was better but for money not good. The chicken friends has was apparently good. Yorkshire pudding was stodgy, could have been more veg. Cauliflower chese exta tasted very processed. Wouldn't return.

Staff needs to check their attitude. Young chap at the bar was rude as hell. Never going back. I asked if my friends opened a tab showing their table the guy was really rude, don't be here if you don't want to be nice to paying customers. Never going back again. Avoid+++

Highly recommend. Nice lunch - in-fact one of the best Sausage and Mash I have ever had and at a very reasonable price. I would not normally order however as it was an early lunch I ordered a Heineken 0.0 on tap.

£4.50 for a half-pint of the (local) Brixton IPA is pretty egregious.

We were looking for a central location to host a birthday, not too far from the tube and came across The Rose. The staff were lovely, we booked a section on the ground floor for a birthday and hosted 40 people comfortably. We pre ordered drinks and nibbles and everything was coordinated very smoothly. There is an even nicer area upstairs which has views of the river but that was already booked however even the ground floor was great. Overall the venue was lovely, convenient to get to, and staff very cooperative. They even set up a table on the side for some of our guests who wanted to dine before joining us for drinks. It actually stayed open till 1am which meant unlike usual pubs where last orders are at 11, several people could stay on later (and the music was great!). It basically turned from a pub to a bar/club as the evening progressed but not in an annoying way! If you’re looking to book a birthday I would recommend this place - next year we will try to book well in advance and get the floor above!

Like they really be employing any uneducated person over there. This one short bartender wearing white couldn't pour anything that wasn't beer to me; the bearded one wearing red did it right way, 1 star for him. Then on my way out, I was with a coca-cola and the bearded security really hurted my arm securing it. If you are uneducated, this is the place for yoy

Came here christmas day with 6 other people and really enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. What a lovely place. All of our cocktails were very good and the service great. The best part was the christmas decorations. A fun night. Highly recommend!!

Disappointed with our dishes. Only the starter with halloumi was good. Risotto had no taste. And the fish and chips were bland. The microwave cake style dessert finally arrived after 40 minutes of waiting. The room is very noisy.

Went for a Christmas Dinner with friends and had a great time. The food was ok, I wish they offered more desserts but not that big of a deal. The place was cozy and had that "christmassy" feeling. The staff were very courteous and helpful.

Had our Christmas party here. Great for large groups upstairs, and nice and busy diwnstairs. Only issue was they didn't have the Guinness on but there's a shortage so all good

Great find on a damp afternoon following a long walk. Cosy fire, good beer, excellent food with excellent service. Live music and dogs what more can you ask for!!

We were a large group, 14 adults and 10 children. The team worked exceptionally hard to serve us even when it was very busy. I didn’t give much notice for the booking but the team were still accommodating and everyone was please with the portions and quality of the food we were served. The chicken wings were delicious!

I recently visited The Rose with a couple of friends for a Sunday roast (we’d called ahead to confirm vegetarian roasts which we were excited about). The atmosphere was lovely, very festive and welcoming - we would definitely come back for a drink. The food, unfortunately, was a bit hit and miss. For 3 of us the roast was fairly nice, but our 4th guest had freezing cold food and had to wait 15 minutes for her plate to be heated up after sending it back. The service was also pretty shocking. We asked 3 separate staff for some extra gravy and finally received some 20 minutes later - it became a bit of a joke how many people we could ask before it actually happened. We then ordered desserts, and after another 20 minute wait decided they probably weren’t arriving and we’d get the bill. The bill was incorrect too - we’d been charged for adding Yorkshire puddings to the vegan roast (even though all roasts come with them as standard). We had also been charged extra for the hard-to-source we’d waited for! Overall, the food was fine but we wouldn’t come back. The staff were very disorganised and once the live music started we decided no pudding and no environment to chat was probably a good time to leave.

Wonderful views if Big Ben and London Church. Live music even on a Sunday. The most Christmassy decoration. However I'm giving 3 stars only for service because we had to wait a long time for the drinks. We had to ask for it and still they wouldn't bring it until food was ready. Why??? What's the issue with having a drink while waiting for the food. They are also charging 12.5 % of service charge which is too expensive

This place used to be amazing before lock down. They had a dj that played a mix of pop, r &b and some 70/80s music(to keep owner happy- as noone else likes the old school 80s) previously the bar staff were friendly upbeat but they all left after lock down. Its now not worth even going. Completely down hill! Such a shame. One of the best places to go out as become on of the worst!

Very nice food - good for my veggie companion too. Great service from Armani - so helpful & polite. Noisy table nearby made it hard to talk properly.

We were looking for a decent pub near our hotel to while away some evening hours. The Rose was perfect. Good food and a friendly staff.

Un bellissimo bar tipico londinese situato vicino alla metro Vauxhall e all'Hotel Park Plaza Riverbank, di fronte al fiume Tamigi. Atmosfera e staff molto accogliente, adorabile lo stile "old school" londinese. I baristi Inna e Matt sono stati molto gentili con noi, i pasti erano molto buoni e i prezzi molto abbordabili!

Ran out of the main dishes for dinner, even though we came at a reasonable time. Also, did not mention that they were out of our order.

If I could put zero stars I would have. After making a reservation, we sat down and were ignored for about 15 min while the bartender and waitstaff had tension that could cut a knife. We tried to order the traditional beef roast and a burger. They were out of burgers which we were told immediately, so ordered a chicken burger for our kiddo and placed the order for the beef roast. Server came back about 10 min later to let us know they ran out of beef roast, so we ordered two other dishes. Our beers ran out about 15 min later and we were ignored once again and my husband went up to the bar to get refills. At that time, the bartender informed us that they were out of the second dish we ordered. We sat down at 7:30, so it wasn’t that late in the night. At that point, we decided not to continue the journey. A $30 round trip Uber ride for a few drinks. Do not waste your time or money.

This was a great local restaurant where we were welcomed in a friendly way and the service was quick and happy. The cocktails are joyful and the ‘Cobb Salad’ on the menu is like a delicasy of a Ceaser Salad with an additional twist of avocado, I loved it! The space is a bit noisy, especially when pub drinkers are sitting in the restaurant part. Apart from this, its a true joyful place with quality food.

Our first night in London, 4 tired and very jet-lagged Americans went to The Rose for dinner. It was a great choice. The bar downstairs was popular and noisy, but upstairs was quiet enough we could talk. We had 2 shepherd’s pies, 1 fish and chips, and 1 risotto primavera. The fish was described as perfect, and every morsel of the pies disappeared. French fries were also very good. (Not the same as the chips that came with the fish, which I can’t comment on.) I love the risotto, very flavorful without being overwhelmingly salty. The service was cheerful and courteous, but the server was a bit too busy and running around so much it was hard to catch her eye, for instance when we wanted condiments after our food was brought to the table. But that’s only a small minus, and I don’t blame the server at all. Bottom line I’d highly recommend this for very well prepared pub food.

Nice place overall. Terrible service..yes SN forgot the order then found it again..ah no loss😅..in short..we ate divided, there were 3 of us, among other things they got the bill wrong 2 times to our detriment..also if they then implemented the 20% discount for honesty of information

Excellent bar food. Fantastic flavorful drinks... I had chilli margarita and my wife had Mrs Rose... good relaxed pubby atmosphere, and the servers were very conscientious and helpful! Definitely recommend!

Not bad , quite expensive and sadly one of those places where they serve a vodka and tonic then try keep the bottle to sell again. At these prices they should give you the bottle. Just seems petty and penny pinching

The food was very good. It's not truly a pub type atmosphere... more like a restaurant trying to be a pub. We ordered and paid for our drinks at the bar. But when we ordered food at the bar, they wouldn't take payment and were told the person that brings us our food would take care of us from that point forward. But after receiving our food, we never saw our server again... it took 4 times asking for our tab until someone finally brought our check so we could settle up and leave.

Stayed locally , this area is kinda soulless just hotels and apartments these days. This place is a little oasis a proper pub . Very much enjoyed a drink with my wife here. Friendly staff.

We were in London for a week on holiday. We arrived on Wednesday and were hungry that evening! Since this pub was only 5 minutes away from our hotel we decided to have dinner there and what can I say! We were immediately thrilled! We were warmly welcomed and we got a table straight away, even though it was already very full! All the service staff were really in a great mood and it didn't take too long until we got drinks and food. And the food was really world class! I can only recommend this pub! We felt really comfortable there, so much so that we ate there four times a week! In addition to the standard menu, there was also a weekly menu which was also awesome. In short. If we are back in London our first stop would be this pub.

We had a family party in the River Room. It was fabulous. We had 52 people there with tables all round the room and an empty space in the middle used by the children for activities during the lunch. We preordered everything and we were served hot delicious food, very nice service and all this in a room with a great view of the Houses of Parliament. Highly recommended.

Located on Albert Embarkment across from River Thames, quant pub offering Sunday Roasts and reasonably priced given sizable portion size. Both chicken and pork belly were delicious, pork in particular was spiral cooked to shredable tenderness and crackling skin. Chicken like wise has rotisserie juiciness. I even thought the vegetables were prepared well. Extra large chips were kinda same as the potatoes in the roasts. Try multiple beers in half pints. The place hit the spot after a long flight.

We sat down and had to wait quite a while to be waited on. Another couple sat down and the. Got waited on before us. That was disappointing but when we finally met our server he was good. We ordered nachos and a burger. They were both quite good. Especially the burger. The decor was super enjoyable.

Lovely place, lovely service, burger was good, fries were amazing, only problem is the carbonara, it came flavourless and mushy with some two inch pieces of spaghetti and the only flavour of raw cream. Sent it back, and they offered a new one, but the new one came back same mushy with just a bit of extra pepper, but they did offer us some free drinks. Would come back for a drink and a burger and fries, but not for that carbonara. Edit: chef did a third attempt, and came down to inspect us eat it from the bar. Overheard the (presumed) manager say “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it”. But the other formal looking man was really trying to be nice and considerate.

Myself with 2 of my female friends had a very bad experience in this restaurant. The service was really bad👎👎👎. On of the staff there was very rude to us and felt really bad. He was not even interested to take order from us. We were able to see the food was ready in the front desk but he made as to ask him " can we have the food if its ready" , and his facial expressions were too scornful. We couldn't even enjoy the food because felt very contempt. Ohhh god , will never go there again. 👎

Stumbled across this place as we were staying in the Park Plaza Riverbank, a few minutes walk and what a find it was!! It was so good that we visited both nights on our two night stay in London. Food and drinks were excellent and very reasonably priced for an establishment of its nature and in the location that it is. I would return again in a heartbeat during my next stay in London and would recommend to anyone.

What a great find this pub was great atmosphere. Only stopped for drinks but that lasted several hours, with a sing and dance at the end. Will definitely try it out for food next time

We have just enjoyed our evening at The Rose 🌹 so much. It’s my 3rd visit in two days and I have to say , the service we received has been amazing. The person who recruited Olivia has to be commended as Olivia is the the benchmark for what customer service means

Service is only good when the female staff are on. The gents working there are slack as hell and utterly slow.

Great pub. The service was off the charts and if the competition are reading this you should make the amazing Roxanna a huge offer as she is an asset to any business.
