We came in to the shop pretty late (21:30 Saturday) and the energy at the till was brilliant and they were laughing with eachother. All in all very friendly. We ordered frappés and knew we were causing a fuss (annoying drink a lot of effort etc) and they were so happy to make it (at least pretending to for my sake). Very enjoyable experience :)

A really nice haven in the busy station. Upstairs is clean, with plenty of seating and air-conditioning. Friendly service from Sanket, and great coffee!

Popped into Costa around 2 PM on a hot Monday, and it was a pleasant surprise. The place was cool, cozy, and spotless, with plenty of seating. The friendly staff had a chat while I waited for my tea. One of the best Costas I've visited in London, for sure.

Very bad service! The workers were shouting at all the customers, including myself. Despite having six employees, if they’re busy, it’s not my fault. The worker shouted at me and told me to stand aside even though I wanted to order. I waited 10 minutes for two drinks. I will never buy from this branch again.

Miserable experience, felt like they were annoyed at me for ordering a drink. Go to Black Sheep instead if you want better coffee & service.

Best staff ever. I have been Costa fan long time and visited Costa all over the country but staff in Waterloo station are awesome , friendly, smiley and lights up our morning with smile and hot chocolate and tuna melt. Absolute wonder in there !!

Staff (in particular male gentleman who appeared to be the manager) very rude, completely forgot how to speak to people like humans instead of shouting at everyone. Wasn’t very busy.

STAFF NOT GIVING THE RIGHT THING. So, it's 12 July I just went to the store( around 8:35 approx.). The lady in the first counter took my order I said that I want almond crossiant and I didn't look there and now I am sitting in the train and saw that she gave me butter crossiant instead of the almond one. I MEAN PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS. POOR SERVICE. Thank you.

Staff are always stressed and rude , i would just avoid. Drinks weren’t done properly.

Staff always rude no manners, when u have a problem they always say they can't do nothing. This situations are a everyday thing so I already gave up and change my coffe to pret down the road

I have never met such a kinder staff anywhere I’ve gone in London. They made my whole day. Loved it, and they deserve more and more appreciation. Lovely managers and the staff. Thank you for my drink and making my day better! ❤️❤️❤️

Ordered from here a few times on cold nights to warm me up while I wait for my train as it's the only place open. I don't want caffeine late at night, so I tried to order herbal teas. They don't tell you that all their herbal teas are actually green tea infusions, which contain caffeine. I asked for lemon and ginger tea, and got served lemon green tea. I asked for chamomile tea and got served mango and chammomile green tea (they should've at least told me it's mango flavour instead of just processing my order and serving whatever they have). Another time I ordered a hot chocolate, and several people behind me in the queue were served first. This Costa is terrible and dishonest.

Lovely team. Big shout out to Rasadul, who always gives me outstanding service and puts a smile on my face at the end of a long night.

I was working in Waterloo station for a few days and went to this costa, the staff are amazing and so lovely, incredible service and drinks

Staff were super lovely but the coffee was no good at all I’m afraid, tasted burnt.

I look forward to seeing Rasadul every evening at Costa at Waterloo. Even if I've had the worst day he always brightens the end of the night with his kindness and super efficient work ethic. He is always such a joy to see when he is working. Fast and brilliant at his job.

Great, quick service. One man in particular was very kind and showed me the indoor seating to make my sandwich break more comfortable.

Very friendly and warm atmosphere. Staff really helpful and served us accurately and fast. Lovely coffee. Order was correct and served in a timely manner. Kids enjoyed having a pastry or two and we enjoyed having a hot drink while waiting for the train.

Very nice, friendly staff who know how to make good coffee. Only downside is that there’s no WiFi in the seating area!

Wasted my money on an inedible mint hot chocolate, unpalatable, extra strong mints have nothing on this.

My son and I missed the last train, so I called my husband over to pick us up. The station manager was very kind to allow us wait inside the locked station. Then Chintan and Tapanish from Costa let us wait inside the cafe. They even offered my son a hot chocolate. How kind!!

Asked for a large Earl Grey tea and was very pleased that they gave me one despite only one (smaller) size being on the menu. Thank you!

1 star because the person taking the order was nice. Ordered Iced Mocha with whipped cream idk what did I get . It tasted so awful that one sip and I threw it in the bin. Neither the coffee looked good nor tasted nice.

I wanted to leave a review for Ravi's great customer service this morning. It's hard to make stressed out commuters smile and he really made an impression. He was smiley, almost upsold me a croissant (I had just had breakfast at home though) and after I said I didn't want your app, but I wanted a receipt for my expenses, he told me the app stores all purchase records. So now I have it. Thank you Ravi. The coffee was good too.

This is a small Costa but, unsurprisingly, it gets really busy. There is also a fairly copious seating area considering the small size of the cafe.

Think some of the reviews on here are a little harsh I came here twice today 15/07/23 once late morning the other late afternoon/early evening. Speed of service on the till was quick, drinks maybe on the slightly longer side but they were very busy but think they handled it well. I had a frappe and tasted very good and also checked on me to make sure I’d been served which was good. Only improvement I’d say is a better queuing for tills and receiving drinks

I usually go to Costa coffee at Waterloo station and the service is amazing. But sadly today I am very disappointed. There was a very rude guy ( with glasses and moustache) at one of the counters. He was having a very hard time being nice, saying good morning and he gave me a cold cinnamon roll in a very bad manner. Maybe he thought he was doing me a favor and I wasn’t going to pay? So sad …

Hot Chocolate of Costa is always my favorite but here it was not thick texture as its there in outside shops..hope to see quality increase in the shop

the staff where extremely frantic and rushing even tho there wasn’t anyone else there . Me and my friend both had an iced latte and within 5 minutes we felt very unwell . Later on we were both sick and unwell and we hadn’t had anything but this coffee . They rushed everything and probably weren’t having any hygiene standards at all . do NOT go to this costa unless u want a stomach bug !!!

Very poor customer service now a days at waterloo costa .Staff are not well trained. Very very rude Monjula who is newly started, I asked for cinnamon spice tea she added lemon .She did mistake but she doesn't apologise. When I said to her you should apologise she started arguing. I feel really disrespectful as a customer. I start my day with costa coffee from last 14 years .I m really disappointed . Also Jigar said I should not go to costa because I made complaint.

Customer service is absolutely awesome! I dropped my coffee this morning shortly after paying for it and the staff quickly came to assist me and replaced the coffee. Top class !

Very quick and efficient but the milk is always burnt and as a result the coffees taste isn’t great.

They are So slow , you have time to take a nap until you get your coffe 😐

Since the reopening i have bought coffee there twice and been served by the same person each time. When she takes my order, she clearly isn't listening, has to ask twice what I want and on both occasions has given me the wrong snack. Slow down, wait till you are ready to take the order and focus on getting it right.

My usual go to at Waterloo. Usually sit upstairs. Queuing is the worst bit though. My last visit drinks came out for those who ordered after. Upstairs good but plagued by freeloaders.

Pastry tasted two days old and my coffee wasn’t made with oat milk as ordered, both went in the bin. Avoid

They renovated. Good very nice 👍 But the staff are not able to speaking 🗣️ English properly in a central National Rail & Tube station. Hire other people. I was not the only one who left in disgust from there Monday. If you need a Costa and have enough time go to Costa machine in Sainsbury's outside. Better coffee too

I stopped here for an early morning mocha and toasted cheese and tomato. I had a crutch and my clumsy leg brace on account of a recent fall and broken knee cap (not recommended). The service was prompt, friendly and the staff retrieved my crutch after it fell on the ground (twice). And they brought my items to the table. It makes such a difference to be treated nicely when not expected. Thank you Costa Waterloo!

The manager, Enis is very rude! He will make inappropriate, gross and unrequested remarks on your appearance. Also they have cross contamination issues, they use the same equipment for meat+cheese to handle vegan food. If you really want a coffee, go to the pret a manger 30 secs nearby this Costa, definitely not coming back to this place!

I always loved Costa but waterloo costa is really good the best part is Mr Jigar Bro frothy Latte is so amazing..

[Long story short ]: I’ve ordered 2 items, got something else instead and not even so. Cause one item wasn’t what it supposed to be. Plus lack of smile and customer service I know from other Costa branches. Today I visited Costa on Waterloo Station in London at 4pm…and nothing was right. I’ve order my coffee with Emil. I wanted to try one of the festive drink so I chose the Purple One Latte. I was a little bit confused when I got cup with a Toffee Penny bonbon. So I asked if it was mine. Emil answered ‘yes’. I’ll find out later checking the website that it was actually Toffee Penny Latte. Ok, I’m not picky, I can try this one as well. …but it wasn’t Toffee Penny Latte as well. Actually it would have been good if it has been Toffee Penny Latte. It had whipped cream but it was lacking crunchie caramel vermicelli and I swear I couldn’t taste any syrup- I can bet that it was just normal Latte with whipped cream on top. …buy this is just the half of the story. With my coffee I ordered Gingerbread muffin. My server grabbed some cake with reindeer on top(I found out later that it was actually Reindeer Cake) so I asked if it’s Gingerbread Muffin,’-Yes’ was the answered again. And everything without smile and this proper customer service I know from other Costas. I understand that servers are in a rush. I may be wrong. But my impression was that the barista was about to finish his shift shortly and was doing shortcuts just to survive to the end of the shift and I was on his way so he didn’t care. So 2 item, both were wrong and one was not only wrong but it was happy invention of the barista (Emil) which didn’t have anything to do with the menu. If I would have been served with the smile and everything would have been in positive atmosphere I swear I wouldn’t write this review. I just wanted to have my coffee after busy day at work. Yes, the power of the smile. So little, yet so much in hospitality

They took a lifetime to serve and gave me a two days old croissant. There are better options at the station… I would recommend not to go there.

Friendly staff and good service

There were a few bugs crawling on the croissant and I alerted the clerk, who deliberately ignored my inquiry and digressed to say I just needed to buy brownies. Very irresponsible. Feel bad for the customer who had to buy a croissant afterwards.

Great customer service from all staff! I pass through every morning for my coffee fix. Jigar has amazing skills. AYDA great managerial skills and very aware of keeping everyone safe in the queue.

I would give five stars usually, but today I overheard them joking that i'm a typical englishman because I was rushing to get a coffee before my train that was leaving in 7mins. They made the comment due to what is happening in the racism news currently, I didn't mean to cause offence to the staff at all, I wasn't rude at all, I was just in a rush and they found it hard to understand me because I was wearing a mask and I have quite a strong Dorset accent. I should've left more time to be honest.

Very conveniently placed, nice seating upstairs, sometimes have an issue with the temparature control.

This is a good store, there are plenty of seats upstairs but no window to look out of, the staff are friendly and wouldn't mind to use again

I ordered my drink and then it took them 5 minutes to stop talking and actually tell someone my order, it was early in the morning so not busy at all, I was the only customer at the time.

I have visited this coffee shop on 3 occasions this week at 6am. The 2 gentlemen working are cheerful and polite to all customers, greeting with a smile and remember regular customers. They deserve a huge Thank You! This brightens my day with early journeys. They also make my ruby hit chocolate perfectly 🙏

Average coffee decent place to go when nothing else is available or if you are in a rush! Not as great as it used to be and service is okay. I think they expanded too quickly and forgot all about making quality coffee!

Staff didn't seem to understand me when I asked about non-dairy milk and I had to correct them twice that I wanted a small one, not a medium. Also found something hard in the hot chocolate that freaked me out so I threw the whole drink out.

Quick and efficient, staff is so energetic I couldn't catch up with their pace

Visited twice within a day, travelling during a day out. Lattes are great, no complaints. It was a toss between Starbucks or Costa as they were both in the same area. However Starbucks had one long queue, whereas Costa had multiple tills open. This was the decision maker considering I was in a rush to catch the train on time!

Yesterday, my partner, who is a vulnerable adult, was upsold 2 plastic drinking bottles by staff at the Waterloo Costa and charged £5. Peter had a severe stroke at aged 39 years old and is unable to work as a consequence, he has limited funds and I am very upset that he was targeted in this way. He is on benefits and can not afford to spend £5 on useless plastic bottles that we have little room for at home. He was told they were for charity so felt pressured into buying them. IHe himself is now a charity case and I am very annoyed and would like his £5 back please and that he is not targeted again if he visits your shop.

I visit this Costa nearly every day. Super fast service, coffee is always good, and the staff remember the regular customers and their orders. K

I have ordered countless cold brews at that place, and seen it become more and more diluted, to the point that I am now essentially paying £3 per day for a tall glass of water. Never again.

Staff members are very friendly although the cafe itself is very cramped I've ordered a takeaway cheese and ham toasty. It was prepared fast and allow me to have something hot to eat on my way home. Exactly what I've needed.

Absolutamente un gerente terrible aquí, no creo que deba mencionar su nombre (Beth). Desde el principio no fue útil, no nos encontraría un panini derretido, y cuando lo hizo ni siquiera calentaría una leche infantil que ya teníamos con nosotros. Una sonrisa también sería de gran ayuda. La ubicación estaba bien, pero oculta.

Desayunar, merendar. Lo que quieras. Muy rico café y muy buenas confituras. Muy buena atención. Precio bueno

No es necesario que veas una película para entrar aquí, así que es un buen lugar para tomar un café antes de ir a un espectáculo en el National, que es un lugar frenético para beber antes de comenzar. Si se siente cansado del trabajo, un café espresso doble y sentarse en estos espaciosos y alfombrados alrededores lo animarán con la dosis necesaria de cafeína zen. También hay un mostrador de Ben & Jerry, para un helado oportunista. No te pierdas esta joya: está en ese pasillo tunecino iluminado de púrpura desde la estación de Waterloo, justo antes de girar hacia National. El personal es amable y relajado, y sirve café como sacerdotes. Así que aquí estás en un refugio de paz en medio de un hormigón loco, espaguetis aquí y otro mundo.

Costa. Always the best and this is great in Waterloo as you can hide upstairs!
