Stunning place. We walked from Waterloo station, the mulberry bush is a pub that stays true to tradition. Great selection of cold Beer, stunning warm food, and incredibly hospitality. Thank you for looking after us.

Went here last night with a friend for a drink. Turned into a whole evening. We got there just before 5, and had wine, beer and crackling and burgers. I loved the crackling and my burger. The crackling was cooked perfectly and had that moreish quality. The burger was juicy. The atmosphere is lovely and private because tables are not on top of each other. You can have a conversation, and hear each other speak. I love the quirkiness of the decor. It is minutes from the bustle of Southbank.

I had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Mulberry Bush on the South Bank. I ordered the beef roast with a pint of Guinness, and everything was spot on. The beef was tender and flavourful, and the roast potatoes and gravy were just right—comforting and delicious. The pub itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. Special mention to Lily for her excellent service—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

had the roast beef and was thoroughly impressed. It was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and just the right level of doneness. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was absolutely lovely. Even better, the meal arrived quickly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A special mention to our server, Lily, who was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. All in all, a fantastic dining experience.

Five stars isn’t enough! Absolutely loved our visit to Mulberry bush — from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was next level — everything was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Special shoutout to the Matic who was serving us at the bar. We asked for mojitos as we didn’t see them in the menu and he went above his role and made these especially for us! Very much appreciated!! Drinks were well priced with a great selection, and the whole place had such a cosy, yet lively energy. You can tell it’s a local gem with real heart behind it. Already planning our next visit — this one’s a new favourite!

El ambiente era agradable, pero eso fue lo que terminó para nosotros. El pedido de bebidas se tomó rápidamente, pero esperamos una mitad más y la casa antes de que el pedido de comida se tomó, luego casi una hora más para que llegara. La gente que llegó después de nosotros recibió su comida antes que nosotros. Fui al bar a preguntar y me dijeron que lo comprobaré con la cocina. Nuestro servidor regresó y dijo que estaba en camino (después de eso no la volvimos a ver). La comida finalmente llegó y hacía frío, envié la mía de vuelta. Llegó un plato nuevo pero todavía estaba frío pero para entonces tenía tanta hambre que tuve que comer. Tardamos bastante tiempo en quitar nuestros platos vacíos y en tomar los pedidos de postres/cafés, para entonces se habían quedado sin uno de los postres. En general no fue una gran experiencia, el servicio fue golpeado y perdido, la comida si hubiera estado caliente cuando llegó, habría sido sabroso. En base a esto no recomendaría, ni volveremos a visitar. Lo siento.

Un pub muy agradable justo detrás de la orilla sur si quieres alejarte de los turistas. Bonita decoración, muy limpio. Acabo de tomar una copa, pero sirven comida.

La comida era muy buena, pero el servicio era terrible - reservamos con antelación - mostrado a nuestra mesa en el restaurante y luego simplemente se fue - no hay menú - no hay bebidas - después de un tiempo subió al bar para preguntar si íbamos a obtener algún servicio la joven dijo snootily que era personal del bar solamente - recibió mis propios menús - el personal parecía harto y miserable - esto era 7 pm un sábado! ¡No lo suficiente!

Comfortable, classy Young's pub, good food range and excellent beer. When the sliding doors are open there's a great view of developing London. One minute's walk from the south bank.

i recently went to this restaurant and had such a great experience the food was amazing everything was fresh well-seasoned and cooked perfectly the menu had a great variety so there was something for everyone the atmosphere was really nice too cozy and welcoming with great decor and a relaxed vibe the staff was super friendly and attentive making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing overall it was a perfect mix of great food good service and a nice environment definitely a place i would go back to and recommend to others

I had a nice evening of drinks with some friends today in this lovely pub what a team you have! I'm in love with this place❤️ The only thing that was a bit out of place was one lady (big lady, with glasses and blonde) that was being rude to her own team and with angry appearance all the time, it's so unprofessional to take advantage of your power when you are just a manager in a pub thinking you better than anyone there, we literally heard her being super rude to staff, that actually breaks the vibe of everyone around. Hope you find a better job that makes you happy. For the rest of you I will come back for another pint very soon!! 🙏🏾 Big hug

Really great place for a few drinks before going onto the Oxon Tower for dinner. Real happening vibe – lovely cocktail menu – the French 75 were exceptional! We booked a table for drinks for a couple of hours – which was worth doing as it was very busy when we arrived on Saturday about 6 pm

Visited a few nights ago for business entertaining with clients. Had a table booked for ten of us for 7 til 10.30pm and at 9pm were told the kitchen had closed! No offer of deserts and refused any. Food was good but staff need to communicate better

I visited this pub to have an after work drink with a friend. During my visit my backpack was stollen from right next to my chair. Upon speaking to staff and management it proved impossible to access CCTV footage. The manager confirmed to me via email that he had the thief on camera but refused to provide access to the same footage so I could take it to the police. It quickly got clear to me that the security measures in place are for the owners own security and not for the costumers. Also led me to believe thieves operate regularly at this venue as the management clearly protects them. Would not recommend unless you want to be mugged.

Attended this very loud venue only to see my backpack being stolen from right next to my chair. Upon speaking with the manager who confirmed via email to have captured the thief on CCTV he refused to provide the footage so I could take it to the police. The CCTV in this venue is clearly for the management own security, as if something happens to a client they will not care. Clearly the thieves who regularly operate in this venue know they are protected by the management. Go at your own risk but be advised.

God sunday roast, rigtig god service og hyggelig atmosfære. Beliggenheden er god, vi var de eneste turister. Tjeneren Yasmin var serviceminded og hjalp os med et rigtig godt alternativ da de havde udsolgt af det vi havde tænkt vi skulle have. Vi fik sunday roast med pork og det smagte virkelig godt.

Surprisingly decent beer selection, but I was charged £3.45 for a small orange juice from a carton - outrageous behaviour. 'Historic pub' vibe with a lot of old naval decor but in a modern building. The pub smelled a lot of fish, but I guess that fits with the theme. An odd place.

Atmosphere is great but the food is very average. The fish platter was almost in edible. Just a dry mound of fried fish, not even a sauce.

Lovely pub. Food was very tasty but over priced for the roast we were served. It was absolutely rammed (BAFTAs being filmed down the road) and so service was quite slow. Would change clotted cream to ice cream on my pudding without charging.

Nice little bar, tucked away a bit so wasn't overly busy. Kids allowed until 8pm. Service wasn't amazing, but overall a decent experience and I would go again.

Looks the part however, it’s a very loud pub especially when we visited on Saturday lunchtime. It was unbelievably loud and also and unfortunately, understaffed. Fish n Chips was (appeared to be) cooked in old oil and chunky batter - not appetising at all. Shame as the dish i always go for is Fish n Chips. The pasta dish I opted for was also the smallest portion I’d ever seen (tasted good enough) however, the portion size for £17.50 + service charge is just not fair or just. The staff were trying their best but there just simply not enough of them to deal with the amount of patrons there this particular day.

Great pub a stone's throw from the River Thames, on the Southbank. Very close to The National Theatre and a shortish walk to the Tate. Friendly, smiley staff, great atmosphere, tasty food and a perfect pint.

What a difference a new General Manager makes to a pub. Been coming here for months, always likes it, but was always disorganised. Magda is now running the show. So friendly with the customers, personable and the clear difference is that customers are coming back. Now my firm regular

A real find - great drinks, delicious food and excellent service We originally went to this pub on a Saturday afternoon just for a drink, but the atmosphere was so cozy that we decided to stay and have dinner - and we didn’t regret it one bit! From the very beginning the service was absolutely amazing. The staff is attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and food offerings. We were particularly struck by how proudly they spoke about their cuisine: all ingredients are locally sourced in Britain and are never frozen. This created a huge amount of confidence and anticipation for the food we were about to try. The menu itself is thought out to the smallest detail, with a wide selection of dishes to suit every taste. We ordered fish and chips and bangers and mash - both were excellent. The fish was cooked to perfection, with a crispy golden skin and not at all greasy, and the fries were tender inside and perfectly seasoned. The bangers and mash were also top notch, full of flavour, and the creamy mashed potatoes paired beautifully with the rich onion gravy. It is clear that every dish is prepared with attention and love. For dessert we decided to treat ourselves to a couple of espresso martinis and it was the perfect end to the dinner. The cocktails were amazing: smooth, rich and perfectly balanced - a real delight. Overall, this pub is a great place for a drink or a full dinner. High quality local products, excellent service and a cozy atmosphere make it a place you want to return to again and again. Highly recommended!

Lovely Pub ! Came here for Sunday lunch with my partner, we accidentally booked the wrong day but the lady managed to find a table for us which was so kind. The food was lovely, it had a very cozy feel to it, was perfect for escaping the cold !

Visited for lunch as a large part of 12 with kids of all ages. Communication regarding our booking was brilliant. We had a nice area at the back of the pub, food was lovely and service good. Good location. Nicely decorated and furnished pub. Good range of beers and wines. Food was, I'm afraid, decidedly average. Small portions for the price. I had fish and chips. Whether the peas were meant to be mushy peas or crushed peas, they looked and tasted like they had been hanging around for some time. Everyone else in my group agreed that the food was not terrible, but just a bit average and really not worth it for the price. So I would meet here for drinks, but eat elsewhere.

Cozy with good food. Armchairs, back tables, comfortable stools. Plus the bathrooms were clean.

I love this cosy pub very close to Waterloo and the Southbank, the team were very friendly and really looked after us for Sunday Roast. The beef was cooked perfectly, very tasty trimming and the biggest Yorkie I’ve ever seen! Highly recommended, I will be coming back for sure.

Very sub par xmas set menu. £45 for 2 courses. Small portions and flavourless. Staff did offer a free pint for those who complained about main meals but still not great value even with a free pint. Would go back for drinks only.

A friend and I booked a table for lunch (specifying that it was for lunch, so you know, plates, glasses, cutlery, etc) more than one week in advance. When we arrived we found ourselves presented with a very tiny table in a small corner of a room where toddlers were literally crawling underneath our table and chairs. We asked if there was any chance to be moved somewhere else and they said no, they where fully booked, so we left. Now: I do understand that it was the last Sunday before Christmas and that the location is very popular so you are busy, good for you! But wouldn't have been better to say "sorry we can't accept your booking" or "we can accept your booking, but we can offer you only *describe the situation*, would that be ok to you?" so we would have both save time? Is it really more important to take as many reservations and make as much money as possible even if it means your customers will be uncomfortable than to be open and honest from the beginning? Luckily we found a lovely place with appropriate table, well behaved children and a great Sunday Roast nearby, otherwise our Sunday would have been completely ruined by your greed.

Came here today, booked a table and they didn’t reserve it, so then they had to move some poor families who were sat there! The waiters and management simply forgot about my reservation. Our food was cold, but we had waited so long and had to chase! The burger and chips, well there were hardly any chips and after waiting so long was kind of embarrassing when it arrived cold! They then forgot to deduct my deposit and tried to make us pay the full amount! I would avoid, used to be a good pub, but wouldn’t return again!!

The food was nice, and the area we were in was lovely. But it was a shame about the venue attracting thieves. Sadly, this means that we won't be returning due to thousands of pounds of our things being stolen.

Diana was a great server despite the very stroppy people who tried to nick our pre booked table. Very well managed. Great evening out and one of the best vegan burgers ever.

This is a fantastic pub. The atmosphere is perfect and has a great selection of drinks. The staff are so friendly too. I was there last Tuesday. It was very busy. Luke who was one of the chefs didn’t hesitate to get behind the bar during his break to help the bar staff in order to manage a busy period. Definitely a place that loves to look after its customers

We had dinner and the food and service were good. But the pub was so full that we could barely hear the person next to us.

Made a booking for a big group. Was a bit disappointed we were not seated together. It wasn't made clear in the booking that our tables would be spread out across the busy pub. Other than that it was a good experience. While we were there Diana was super helpful! Thanks Diana!

I put one star because you can't put any. The blonde lady who serves and seems to be the manager, is rude and arrogant. We had a reservation at 2pm and they told us there was no table. When a table is freed, it tells us that there is no food. He wanted us to leave and not work. If you want to eat good, quality English food with unbeatable service, you have Nicholson's Pub three blocks away. You are welcome!!!!!!!

Had a staff Christmas dinner here. It was alright. I guess that's what's to be expected with a set meal. The team seemed stressed the whole time, too.

The cutest pub, they have an excellent selection of drinks and a great wine list. The atmosphere is like no other it’s so pretty and cosy, and when it gets busier it gets better. It’s like a suburban country pub in the centre of London. It’s out of the way location separates it from the city’s business even more. We didn’t get food but the food did look amazing. The staff were also very friendly and helpful

It was my first time here, as recommended by a friend of mine. It was a warm and friendly little place, which was welcoming and comforting. A huge mention to Joe (If I can remember correctly. He had blue hair) he was great. Very friendly and talkative which was great as a first coming to the bar. Can’t fault this place at all.
