Queen's Head in Hammersmith and Fulham

Sunday lunch, 12/01/24. Food superb, service exceptional, atmosphere was great. I'd highly recommend this public house which is like a country pub in the bustling city of London, and set in a lovely location of Brook Green. A great shout out and thank you's must go to the upprecedented and notable service from James, Maisie and Charles - Don't walk to this venue, RUN! You'll ahve a good experience.

Stopped in for a lunch bite and ended up working all afternoon. Just had the soup, pint and an espresso, all great. Nice and quiet and warm with a fire going on a freezing day. Good wifi.

Great local pub! The food is great, the place is not super noisy and it has great service! The coffee with mini deserts is a must and the sunday roast is definitely something to go back to many times.

Went for a company Xmas meal. Some meals were poor and overcharged on the wine. Manager needs to learn diplomacy

La noche comenzó con el miembro del personal contándonos sobre los platos que no estaban disponibles en el menú, después de haber pasado 20 minutos revisando las opciones del menú. Tanto yo como un amigo tomamos el Pollo con Risotto. El Pollo era muy pequeño y el Risotto estaba estupendo, los dos salimos del Risotto, así que no tenía sentido pedir este plato ya que el pollo era bastante pequeño y desde luego no nos va a impedir tener hambre -no creo que hayan aprendido nada teniendo en cuenta una revisión previa hecha (ver más abajo) en octubre de 2024 , un comentario similar sobre este mismo plato -mi compañero tenía el camote horneado- de nuevo otro desastre alimentario. Estábamos con amigos y no queríamos arruinar la noche quejándome, pero si no hubiera estado con estos amigos habría cancelado inmediatamente la comida y me fui - fue así de malo. Me he sentido estafado hoy debido al costo - que es por lo que he venido por primera vez en mi vida - en esta plataforma de revisión para advertir a otros.

Food is nice and service is good and quick. Garden is lovely in the summer and inside space is cosy.

We had our Christmas party here, delightful, friendly and helpful staff and a cosy atmosphere....however the food was very disappointing. Incredibly small portions. I wanted more veg as 3 sprouts and a slice of carrot isn't really enough for me and the nut roast was awful. I was told retrospectively we could have more veg if we had asked, which is odd...I would have liked to have been offered this as we arrived. Wine and alcohol was listed as different prices on-line and at the table , we ended up paying more than expected. As I say gorgeous venue and I couldn't fault the lovely staff but considering we forked out over a 1K, the food was very poor.

A group of us came here for a business lunch, everyone loved the dishes they ordered and service was fantastic, lovely warm and cosy place, bit pricey but it’s london after all so understandable but at the same time value for money cos the flavours are spot on

We had a great Sunday Lunch today, the service was very good and the food was tasty. All seven of us were satisfied and considering my wife just ran the Royal Parks half marathon, we couldn’t have wished for a better finish to our day!

Unfortunately this pub has gone down in food and atmosphere. We booked a table well in advance and were seated opposite the door that led to the garden. It was a cold night and we ended up freezing throughout our dinner. The food was very expensive and very un- interesting. I had the sweet potato salad which was like cardboard with some lumps of wilted wet spinach and few ingredients were missing . And no dressing at all. The burger was very basic and definitely not adult size portion. The only meal that was good was the fish and chips. There was some company event and it was very loud and very busy. Felt like someone was having a Xmas party. Perhaps we should have been told when we made the booking that there is an event that night as I was there with a friend who was visiting with her family and we could not hear each other. I left with a headache and a hole in my bank account! It is so sad as I have been to this pub many times (but not for a while) and it was always good- never amazing but ok.

Friendly staff let me use the bathroom when I got caught short by my large hot chocolate(s). Great service and will come back again for actual food next time!

Great atmosphere, I have known this pub for at least 12 years, and it is always great to go back for drinks with my old friends. In summer the garden beer is lovely although food is just ok.

Food was fantastic and very tasty! We ordered from the Sunday Roast menu and everything was amazing. Staff is excellent and very kind! Such a cozy pub, the interior was great. Highly recommended😊

Tigre Habíamos mirado el menú en línea y decidimos lo que queríamos, pero cuando llegamos al pub, el menú había cambiado totalmente. Dos de nosotros comimos el pollo con lo que se suponía que era un risotto de espelta de pollo y estragón sin embargo el risotto no era un risotto tradicional sino solo un poco de arroz pegajoso con una salsa cremosa muy espesa estilo yogurt sin un toque de estragón. Era muy empalagoso y no era nada agradable para comer. Le faltaba sabor y condimento. Uno de nosotros tomó una hamburguesa y solicitó ensalada en lugar de patatas fritas, sin embargo, todo lo que tenían era lechuga con aceite de oliva vertida en ella! No puedo creer que no tengan ingredientes para ensaladas, especialmente siendo un pub gastronómico. No estoy seguro de si volveremos a comer allí de nuevo, pero como dije, el personal era increíble.

We had a great experience at this pub, enjoying both the burger and the Fish and Chips. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and everything was served hot. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere made the visit even more enjoyable. Certainly one of the best pubs in Hammersmith area, the beer garden is just amazing. Its huge and perfect for a warm day. Place is great, staff very friendly and very close to the station.

Every met someone with imposter syndrome? Well this pub has it. Nestled within the affluent area of Brook Green, this Fuller's chain thinks they are royalty with their prices. Close to £14 for a double Smirnoff and Pepsi, they are laughing all the way to the bank. Never mind the ridiculously over priced rubbish food they serve up at near Michelin priced places. Scandalous! I'm not poor but my God, I understand value and milking the ignorant rich folks who go there. Will pay £30 quid or whatever for something that looks half decent. Literally a 6 minute walk away is the Latymers who are also a Fullers who charge half the prices. Please note this used to be true but at least they are realistic with who they are in general except spirit prices. It has a massive garden at the back full of Dog crap which went all over my kid's clothes, thank you for that. Loads of sheds to sit in and enjoy all the creepy crawlies dropping down onto your head, food and drink, perhaps they should be hosed down every couple of days. They have air con which is great in this heat wave but pay close attention, it's like any pub in the area except with jacked up prices, no better quality. I only go there now when I have to

The staff and management were so helpful and accomurdating. They went out of their way to support the London Hash House Harriers.

. Been going here for years, even my dad took me here when I was young, but the food and value is a joke these days. Got served a COLD roast dinner. Not only that but got mugged off with the portion size. 2 thin slices of pork when paying 20£ a pop. Not the first time the food‘s been under par either. Absolutely gutted I won’t be able to return for food ever again. edit @ the "owner": Why on earth would I try another dish when the Roast was cold and the chef clearly doesn't care? You're lucky you have the staff you have, the person in charge clearly couldn't run a bath. Thank you for the free pint :)

This is our regular go to pub, it’s near our house and our baby dog/daughter Molly 🐾, loves it here, as they have this huge garden right at the back, and she can play free. Fran and Michael (General Managers) are now our friends and we love coming here. We have been served right from the beginning by Gemma, who has been an absolute gem, she is always looking after us and Molly, and we are coming here almost every day. We 100% recommend The Queen’s Head pub, food is delicious, service is amazing.

Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra visita, nos divertimos con el personal y hubo un montón de risas. Ya reservamos nuestra próxima reserva de grupo para dos días después.

Good food but we’re out of stock of parts of the menu, second time this has happened when visiting. Service was a bit slow. Nice pub at the front, smoking area backs onto the back area of the dining room so if doors open can smell smoke & those sitting in the garden walk in and out that way so not as cosy for a dinner setting

One of the most hospitable and thoroughly accessible pubs in Hammersmith. I had forgotten it existed until called to a HAFSON AGM being kindly hosted there for the third year. What a pleasant reminder of such a airy Autistic user friendly space with so many different seating choices inside and out. ( apologies for no outdoor garden pics ..too busy talking ! ) No matter what your party size, romantic tete a tete, after works drinks, leisurely group or family lunch, meetup, celebration: birthday, anniversary, retirement, divorce ( yes l had a party 🎉)this wonderful venue will accommodate you. Bookable tables, areas, and my friends vouched for the wine/ drinks selection. I was on tea. The outside seating area is nearly as vast as the interior. There are shielded from the sun wooden booths. Open tables in the middle and what looked like a trellis part at the back. Now lm reminded it's in Brook Green, one bus stop away from the sometimes overly busy main drag of Hammersmith Broadway lm telling you to frequent it any time you like. For Autistic drinkers, diners and meetups ld advise you to go for daytime, or midweek use to feel less overwhelmed by numbers of people congregated together. However if you tel in advance lm sure it's possible to book a quieter nook within the main body of the pub. The main music system is not a belting, drown out intimate conversation one. The bar staff are friendly, warm and attentive to detail so it's a place l can highly recommend.

This is a lovely old pub with a nice outdoor garden bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered meals here and although had a nice time, I will not be eating here again. I paid £23 for a main which was a very small portion and quite honestly was ok pub food - but £23 was really steep for the serving. The fondant potatoes were literaly mashed potatoes made into a shape. Hard and dry. The amount of duck I had in the dish wouldn't even have been the equivalent of a drumstick. No vegetable - would have had to buy sides. So really? £23 for a dish a bit bigger than an entree? Not for me again I'm afraid. Friends dishes were very similar. £23 for the Milanese chicken which was a breaded piece of breast on a pile of chargrilled cabbage. If your a pub - be a pub.

I visited Queen's Head Hammersmith this past Sunday on Father's Day. It's a location I've attempted to visit three times and one that's conveniently close to my weekend routine with my kids, so I had high hopes of making it a regular spot. Unfortunately, my past experiences haven’t been particularly great, and this visit was no different. This recent Sunday’s experience was quite divided: - **Food:** The wait time for our food was over an hour, and when it finally arrived, it was incorrect. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the right dishes to be served. - **Drinks:** The beers I ordered were delivered incorrectly twice, although I did enjoy the alternatives that came. - **Soft Drink:** I asked for a Coke but received a Pepsi Max instead. Despite the pub not being particularly busy, everything seemed disorganized and chaotic. A special mention goes to the staff member with pink hair, who seemed confused and was not pleasant at all. The final straw was during the payment process when she argued with me about the £50 deposit I had made. She insisted she had no control over deposits and that it was my responsibility, even stating "no one does deposits." I had to show her on my phone that I was obligated to pay a deposit because it was Father’s Day. This argument was both annoying and disrespectful, especially in front of my kids and my visiting parents. Fortunately, I had the chance to talk to Francesca, the owner, and explain this situation in person. I emphasized that the key to a great pub experience is the people and urged her to monitor how her employees treat customers. The pub itself is nice and beautiful, and I do enjoy the environment. However, given the recurring issues, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Met up with a friend for lunch.

The service was really bad, we ordered some drinks and they got it all wrong and brought something which was the complete opposite of what we ordered. That also happened with the food, we ordered beef and the brand pork, we even made it clearly of what we got and they still were wrong. The people who brought the food to us were super rude and kept talking back to us.

Really great atmosphere and awesome employees. Customers are also so delicate. Happy to be here.

Regarding the food: the starters were quite disappointing and overpriced. The main course was again good, but also overpriced. Good ambience, nice location. The service overall could be friendlier. Still a good recommendation for drinking. About the food: not really...

This pub could be the bomb - it has a surprisingly big and lovely garden at the back and is located just next to Brook Green. However, one’s seriously let down by how disorganised and slow the service is (do not order starter and main as they are not able to juggle this) and, most importantly the food is really bland. The burger is a burger with nothing else and the sweet potato and fregola salad looked like something prepared by a 5-year old. The prices are those of a gastropub but the food not up to standard. Come here for a drink that you get at the bar but not much else.

Staff are top-notch, food, and drink very good. Brook Green, so you are paying for it. Splendid beer garden.

The Queen's Head in Hammersmith was a total win! The food was delicious, and the pub had such a warm vibe. But the real star of the night was Vanessa, waitress. She was super friendly and helpful, recommending yummy dishes and making sure everything was just right. We had a blast, and we'll definitely be back for another visit if we're ever in London again!

I want to love this pub so much... but don't. It's vast, comfortable inside and out, in a gorgeous area, great selection of drinks but I can't beat about the bush - the food's just not great. It really lets it down. Each time we've gone we've gone with the hope that maybe, just maybe the food will be better but it's always a disappointment. It's laughably low frills - eg a kid's fish & chips was literally that - 'piece of fish with chips'. If you order a burger you are literally going to get a burger, no sides, no florish - nothing. And even the food itself will just taste like it's being done by the numbers, it's edible and cooked correctly but never tasty. It's honestly such a shame, and it's been like this for years. I know someone who lives opposite and asked them their opinion of the pub 'Oh, we don't go anymore as the food's not very good'. Says it all really

Went with a 20+ crowd on a Sunday. They made us feel at home. The place is big, with several areas, nice beer garden. Hard to imagine, when looking from outside, the place is as big. Children park on the other side of the road is a bonus if you go with children.

Lovely pub and friendly staff, but food was awful! Ordered a baked camembert (£18.00) . Arrived very quickly but was unable to dip the crostinis as it was cold and solid! It also arrived with the chutney piled on top. I'm not fond of chutney so I had scapped it off. I took it back to bar and asked for a replacement and this time without chutney. I was offeted no apology and server brought the so-called replacement within 5 mins. It was the same camembert as the chutney matks were still on top. The edges had meltefd but the centre was still solid! The crostinis were also stale. Very poor quaity and would certainly not recommend eatin here!

Quite poor service in busy times, our food was served after one hour of waiting time and came almost not edible. Soup was too salty, Caesar salad was partially served missing bread and tomatoes. Don't recommend to have any food here apart from burgers and fish and chips.

I appreciate this is a posh chain pub with prices to match, but when a bowl of ten chips costs £6, I'd have thought even posh customers would pause for thought.

This one is the posh local's local. But not snooty. Good sized garden out back with outdoor heaters. Like a country pub but with a better selection of wines. We were not eating this time but the meals looked and smelled really good. I noted families are well catered for with high chairs provided, Other establishments would do well to visit and copy everything they do.

i’m sorry to say I can only give this pub a negative review because when I visited and ordered two meals for £19 each I was charged £22 each. I didn’t understand what has happened until I’d already paid. When I pointed this out, the manager was not at all apologetic and ended up by only giving back part of the money. He said he couldn’t give us the full amount for some reason, but he did not even give offer us a free dessert instead, which would’ve been better than nothing. Also, the risotto when we got it was an incredibly small portion, something we expect as a starter. We are not people who are used to eating larger than normal amount. This restaurant is near where my cousin lives and it was recommended to us. Needless to say we won’t return and we will pass the word to other relatives, staying at my cousins house.

I have been here many times - always a great pub and nice food. This time i ordered fish and chips and it the batter was so soaked in oil that it was not edible. A colleague also felt the same and we both left the batter. When the plates were collected no one asked if the meal was OK. Overall a far worse experience than i have had previously. I cant say there is a link, but i did feel a little sick some hours later. I will return but wont eat here.

This was our first visit to the Queen's Head even though we live very locally. From the time we were first greeted on arrival the whole experience was amazing. Disgusting establishment. The manager Francesca is a racist and was extremely rude and dismissive. Treats her employees horrifically, no wonder they look like they don’t want to be there. Food was semi-average. I had higher expectations for an establishment situated in such a lovely area. AVOID.

Surprisingly large pub. Good service, loads of space, they also have an outdoor area. Worth checking out!

Having read on Google that you can get a good Sunday roast here, I was disappointed. I had the roast pork. It arrived suspiciously speedily after ordering. The 2" cube of pork was OK, but was tepid and served with some gravy with a film on top in a small jug, the crackling was rubbery and inedible, the two roast potatoes were soggy, and one each of the vegetables were overcooked and tasteless. I left half the food on my plate. The dessert of sticky toffee pudding took 15 minutes to arrive after ordering; it was light but with very little sticky toffee and the accompanying salted ice cream was about the size of a golf ball. The atmosphere was very noisy - the pub seems to be where parents with lots of loud screaming children under 5 years old seem to gather. I would not recommend going here for Sunday lunch.

Have been going to this pub for years before moved countries. Came back—and it only got better! What a rare case! The food is really good, the people are absolutely amazing and the entire atmosphere is totally great, very cosy, very warm. Will be coming again and again ☺️ They also have a huge beer garden which is perfect for larger parties 😀

Recently had dozen of us for a Christmas dinner party. Known pub for over 40 years was always good food. Unfortunately now found food no better than average on most dishes from set menu (beef was good though)other choices of 3 course meals were no more than mediocre .One main dish came 5 minutes after the first 11 with no explanation or apology. Deserts so so .Drinks pricey and service a little terse in manner and attitude. Was busy but a good atmosphere which was its one redeeming feature. Give this venue a miss on special occasions if I was you. Got a reply from the manager with explanation and defence for issues, unfortunately in her whole hearted defence reminded me the service was even less than I remember especially when I spoke to others in the group. I obviously have been going longer than their other patrons and my sister has been going there for over 50 years!

Awful place. It's not a pub, it's a restaurant (hence there being no comfortable chairs) and from what I hear the food isn't up to much. The last time I went there my friends ordered an alcohol freeGuinness and the bar man just gave them a couple of cans and glasses, charming. After my most recent visit I won't be going there again.

I came for lunch with my sister & her family on Boxing Day. We were in 7 & were welcomed very warmly with great friendly & prompt service. Didn’t get a chance to try the hot gin but the mulled wine was delicious! Four of us ordered the “meat pie”, which was steak & ale served on a bed of tasty & fluffy mash & really tasty cabbage. The pie was exquisite! The crust so tender & flavor some & just the right texture & thickness. The filling was incredibly rich but delicate at the same time! I have never eaten such a delicious pie in all my life & I probably never will!!!! You must try it! I can’t wait to return to London to eat it again!!!!

It was my 61st birthday, which I stated at the time of booking. We thought we’d come to the Queen’s Head in Brook Green after 20+ years, when we used to live in W14 West Kensington. We met up with my daughter who now lives there. We were waiting for quite a while before we could place our order, after which we waited an hour for our dinner. A few of our meals were luke warm to cold, particularly the chips, and even my most expensive £32 12oz sirloin steak. I should have reported it earlier, but said nothing till the end, and they didn’t charge us for the drinks. No apologies. We drove away as quickly as we could to our daughter’s flat, where we had our tea and birthday cake.

We had such a wonderful and very special afternoon at The Queens Head for our Resident's Annual Christmas Lunch. Francesca and Michael were absolutely phenomenal and made everyone so very welcome and the Christmas Food was really fantastic, with such an excellent choice available including all of the classic dishes and also brilliant vegetarian and vegan choices as well. All of the bar staff and kitchen staff at the Queens Head worked so very hard from start to finish at serving us all of the food and drinks and they really went the extra mile to give us such a memorable day. Thank you all so much!! We are so grateful for all of your kindness and we cannot wait to see you all again next week. Have a really wonderful Christmas and all the very best for 2024. We had a Sunday roast for my friend's surprise birthday. Lovely atmosphere and Staff, and great food and coffee.

I am absolutely shocked at the service we got this weekend. The staff were rude, they got food and drinks orders wrong, they hadn’t cleared the tables for our reservation, and when we tried to talk to them about the service, they doubled down on the rude behaviour and didn’t apologise. This used to be a nice pub but maybe the staff has changed. There are plenty of other nice pubs in the area - do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

The place looks very Christmasy even though it's November and I love it. Food is overpriced, and tastes quite bland.

Absolutely wonderful Fish and Chips!!

Always offering good pub-type cuisine with great service and a wide selection of lagers. Although I'm not a local, whenever I'm near Brook Green and crave pub grub or a pint, The Queen's Head is my top choice.
