The drinks were so expensive that it's unlikely that I will be visiting again.Disappointing after being a customer for 55+ years

Great pub but would not recommend the chicken strips seriously below average.

Qué bar tan bonito. Lástima que el personal tenga una actitud apestosa. Sentados en el restaurante durante media hora, mesa vacía, sin acuse de recibo, entonces nos levantamos y decidimos pasar a la mesa en medio de la habitación, pensando que no había manera de que nos ignoraran sentados allí. Esperé 10 minutos y tuve que llamar a un miembro del personal, solo quería un poco de agua, los tres vimos al miembro del personal girar los ojos cuando lo pedimos. Este tipo resultó ser el único miembro del personal que quería servir. Horrible experiencia, vergüenza porque me encantó el pub antes y la comida es decente, pero nunca he notado que el personal no quiere hacer su trabajo tanto como esto, realmente arruinó la noche.

A beautiful old pub but my food was disappointing. My beetroot tart was dry and the salad was just a few lettuce leaves without salad dressing, not the winter salad as described. I asked for salad dressing and was given some balsamic vinegar, but no oil to go with it. When asked they said they didn't have any olive oil (!!) but managed to find rapeseed oil for me. Having just returned from Paris, the contrast of the salad could not have been greater. I have eaten here before when the food was much better. My friends enjoyed their fish and chips, pie and sausages. We had lunch Thursday lunchtime and there were very few people there.

Friendly, efficient service in a packed and noisy house. The food was indifferent though. My quiche lacked flavour and the accompanying salad was undressed. I asked for some olive oil and there was none available. Could do better.

Friendly staff, just the right amount of busy, got a seat, enjoyed a decent selection of beer. Nice to see Deya on tap.

I visited this pub with friends last night, and we had an amazing time! The vibe was great, the food was delicious, and the drinks arrived in no time. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Dog friendly pub. Friendly staff and they welcome all dogs, big and small.

I have visited many times without fault, we booked for XMAS day and it was a disaster from burnt food to being sat on a table for two (for 3 of us). I emailed in to express my concern and it was ignored. Ruined our xmas day I won't go back. We paid £235 for three of us when usually our bill is £100 so we expected higher quality for xmas day and instead had the worse diving experience in London to date.

Last evening in London and we had a great time. The Duke is truly a typical London pub where you will eat quality cuisine from starter to dessert. Special mention to the fish and chips: delicious! If you're looking for a warm place with a nice pub atmosphere, don't hesitate, go for it!

Pleasant Sunday lunch at Duke on the Green, delicious food and relax atmosphere. Yorkshire pudding was the only thing I wanted to complain about. There's room for improvement.

On 30th December, I had the pleasure of dining at Duke on the Green with my former colleagues, and the experience was simply outstanding. We ordered the fish and chips, a quintessential British classic, and were blown away by the quality of the dish. The fish was incredibly fresh, encased in a golden, crispy batter that melted in the mouth. The chips were cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The tartare sauce, with its perfectly balanced flavor, and the traditional mushy peas added the finishing touch to an already extraordinary dish. Awesome environment. Lots of beers on tap. Good food fire was on and throwing some comfy warmth around the place. Good vibes in the building.

We met friends before they flew back to Edinburgh. The staff reserved us a nice booth and we passed an easy 90 minutes before our friends departed. The large pub has a lovingly preserved interior with splendid column-like support posts in the main pub area. Then there’s several booths before the long bar with the restaurant sensibly situated at the other end. Old world charm is everywhere and if you go on a busy day the sound of conversation echoing throughout is marvellous.

Went for early dinner late Sunday lunch..was very busy but managed to get a table in front of the fire 😁 great nut roast festive mulled wine vegan brownie and vegan ice cream 😋 what more could a girl ask for.. great atmosphere helpful friendly staff and quick service..it's a 10 from me 👍

El personal era increíblemente amable y atento, asegurando que nuestros vasos nunca estaban vacíos y nuestras comidas llegaron rápidamente. My girlfriend and I recently enjoyed a delightful date night at The Duke on The Green in Parsons Green. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the attentive and friendly team, who made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, providing the perfect setting for our evening. We began with starters of grilled prawns on toasted sourdough and Harissa roasted heritage squash, both of which were delicious and beautifully presented. For our mains, I opted for the West Country Bavette steak, which was cooked to perfection, while my girlfriend chose the Heritage squash, ricotta & tomato quiche, which she thoroughly enjoyed. To accompany our meal, we indulged in a couple of expertly crafted cocktails that complemented the flavours of our dishes wonderfully. Overall, our experience at The Duke on The Green was exceptional. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and a cosy atmosphere made for a memorable evening. We look forward to returning soon.

Terrible service . 20 minutes for 2 coffees . Staff have no desire to work and help customers and would rather laugh and joke amongst themselves. Management sort this out !

Came here for a Sunday roast -- not the best I've had but more than edible apart from the oddly bouncy roast potatoes (no pub ever gets them right!) and we certainly didn't leave hungry. Service was friendly and efficient during a very busy lunchtime service, too.

Great place to have a drink but I’d avoid the food! Paid £17 for a burger that looked like it belonged at a child’s birthday party- it was a couple small beef patties and cheese with a few skinny chips scattered on the plate

Fuimos a cenar en familia antes de ver un partido de fútbol en el Chelsea Stadium. Hay muchas opciones para elegir en el menú, la comida era sabrosa, porciones de buen tamaño y relación calidad-precio. Nos dieron la opción de comer en la zona delantera del pub donde es un entorno acogedor con chimenea o en la parte trasera donde se encuentra el restaurante principal. El servicio fue excelente y decidimos volver después del partido para tomar unas copas para celebrar la victoria del Chelsea!

Do not eat here. Period. They should only serve drinks. The Gnocci swimming in grease is an abominations to food. The service and staff is good but who is cooking your food? Has the manager tried the Gnocci with sage? Waste of money for something that wasn’t even edible. The ambiance is nice but they make the music SOOO loud that you just end up losing your voice trying to get someone to hear you

Ive been using this pub since i was 17 years old . Still use it because of the Youngs bitter which is my drink for nearly 60 years. Yesterday the beer was off colour. Not the first time of late. The Youngs Ordinary was off so I changed to Special. That was also off colour . Nobody changes barrels when the should. No such thing as a Barman anymore. All such a shame. Days of Customer satisfaction nearly at an end. I'll have to decide if I want to carry on using the pub anymore after 60 years

Food was okay and fairly priced but service was average at best. The pub was pretty empty when we arrived (12.30).so little atmosphere, but was a little more buzzy when we left at (2.00pm)

This was, as always a lovely visit. Service was excellent. I had a family member with mobility issues and they had given us a table with plenty of room. I had the pork escalope which was delicious, not too thin and paired with a tasty celeriac salad. A good choice of dessert, however I would have liked a choice of custard rather than just ice cream. But I will definitely return.

Have been coming to the Duke for years and I am never disappointed. Just a classic old Victorian pub with a great London vibe.

Food was fine, but they don't do any kind of take away so we couldn't get doggy bags for our food when we had to leave early. I found this shockingly wasteful. Also do not order the foccacia; £4 for four 1 in by 1.5 in pieces of bread.

Good buzz, expensive drinks and not the best food but not a bad pub. Slightly dated interiors and you may find the adjacent Aragon House to be a better option.

Came here tonight with a girlfriend, we stayed a couple hours for dinner and drinks. They were closing and we asked to stay inside while we waited for our Uber (less than 5 mins). The male bartender told us we should wait outside. It was all men outside, and that was the reason we asked. Not an “Angela” moment.

We like coming in here on quieter days for a half pint and small snack plate. It’s a great place with lovely staff and they are tolerant of well behaved dogs, which enhances our experience as our dog really, really, really enjoys visiting pubs and cafes so much. This is one of her favourites if we can get our regular table as she relaxes and loves the atmosphere while we can sit and chat. To my memory it’s not a sport pub, so it feels more about socialising and enjoying a drink than having your eyes distracting with a big screen over someone’s shoulder.

We went to the Duke on the Green yesterday for a large family get-together and Sunday lunch. Food was amazing, staff were wonderfully attentive & especially helpful with one of our party who has mobility issues, helping us move furniture around etc. This is one of our favourite pubs in the area and we'll definitely be back soon!

Lovely pub located right opposite the green which is great for dog walkers. This pub is full of friendly staff whom make you feel welcome the moment you enter, marvelous food offering and outside seating alongside the pub. Would highly recommend.

We decided to have a weekday dinner here with friends a few days ago and we loved it! Friendly and attentive staff, great choice of drinks, especially wine, and really yummy food. It was so good that we came back again on the weekend :)
