The Drayton Arms in Kensington and Chelsea

We came for a Christmas dinner with friends. The team were really friendly, especially Ailish the manager, and the food was great. We're looking forward to coming back

This was a wonderfully delicious place. We got the family two person meal which was plenty of food for my spouse and I. It was well made. Their sticky toffee pudding was not good at all. It was dry and tasted unpleasant, and the cream was lumpy, not smooth. I regretted biting into it as I was left with that taste in my mouth. The dinner was so good though. Much worth to go to!!

Very good and quite legendary pub in the Brompton area. Perhaps a few too many posh idiot types there for my liking, but that comes with the area I suppose. Good food usually.

The Drayton Arms hosted our theatre production and were great to work with. The staff are really organised and friendly, the food's good, there's a great atmosphere in the pub, many of our audience liked the pub. Thank you very much for all your help!

I particularly like the little garden space. It's one of my spots in the vicinity to have drinks..

We had a wonderful lunch with our family of 8. Great menu with something for everyone. Great service and assistance with allergy sufferers. Nice spaced out and comfortable seating. Cannot think of anything you need to improve.

It's a shop with a nice atmosphere. It's a nice place, but there are seats where you can smell ammonia if you spill alcohol on it. Otherwise 5 stars

Cute pub with above average food prices. £19 for a cold burger (during my visit).

There are pubs, and there are pubs. The Drayton Arms is both a nice pub, and a very nice restaurant. We had a fantastic dinner here. Highly recommended!

Staff was engaging and looked after us brilliantly. Bloody Marys were delicious. Sunday Roast was outstanding. Beautiful traditional pub. Overall, an exceptionally fab meal. Thank you!

A true gem of West London. The sunday roast sharing platters are incredibly good value. Great beer and wine too. And a theatre above too! ( Shhh! Keep it to yourself. )

Nice venue, excellent service and cracking burgers. No idea what it's about but there appears to be a theatre upstairs, going to have to go back.

We visited this establishment last night (Saturday), for dinner at 5.45 pm, followed by the John Bindon play upstairs in the theatre at 7.30pm. The atmosphere and decor was superb, and we were welcomed by a friendly and smiling member of staff. Our meal was lovely, and the play was brilliant. What a find this place is, we shall be back that’s for sure. Thank you

What a wonderful pub. The decor is traditional and elegant. Sunday roast was delicious and abundant. Staff extremely friendly and so kind. Unique atmosphere with clientele from young to regulars that have been going there for 50yrs. I am really excited to check out the Theatre upstairs. And a bit of trivia, did you know playwright and author Maureen Duffy used to be a regular!

Don’t go there for food. I was told that the pasta is pre-mixed up with the sauce and all the toppings and cannot be changed. They only heat it up 🤮 prices are not cheap for heated up food. The pub is very smelly.

Fabulous mini theatre above the pub with beautiful décor and real ale below. Theatre is intimate and you won't miss a word.

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious meals my wife and I had tonight. The lamb and salmon were amazing💯 We highly recommend either of these meals if you visit the pub over the coming weeks. The added bonus was pleasant attentive staff. We'll be back!!

Been meaning to leave this review for a while, myself and my partner has such a fantastic time last Friday evening. What a beautiful establishment, we have been before but it always seems better when we return! The team are fantastic also, such a laugh

Nice enough place, but food portions didn't match the prices. Atmosphere was good when it was quiet, but even at a quarter full I found myself having to shout to be heard in conversation. Though maybe every pub is like that?

We enjoyed our visit here, great lunch and a nice glass of Picpoul that was recommended by the waiter. I’d like to come back some time to visit the theatre.

We had such a great time here! The food was delicious and we had prompt service from a friendly staff. The show was ‘Beowulf and Grendel’ and we thoroughly enjoyed it! With simply the text from the first third of the epic poem, a single actor brought it to life. Thank you for a great evening!

Came in a couple of weeks ago with some friends, had amazing service from Ailish. Ate the fish and chips which was 10/10. Drinks nice and cold too! Will deffo come back in the future

Hadn't been there for a few years and didn't know what to expect as I was catching up with a friend that I hadn't seen for 13 years. Lot's to talk about intervened by staff asking for our food order (not intrusive). Good service and friendly staff and the food was...delicious. Get's really busy around 10pm. I would have given it 5* for atmosphere but unfortunately there were a few individuals that were unstable on their feet due to over consumption, otherwise it was a great night in Nice surroundings. I will add I have experience in the hospitality sector at the top end and the Drayton Arms was a winner for me. Check it out!

First time back here in a while! The decor is fantastic and the team is so welcoming! Definitely the best pub in Kensington. Best Roast Dinner too!

Great find! Lovely little theatre upstairs. Eilish was a very lovely server.

Great place to seek out. We have been here twice now and have had no problem finding a table. Lovely inside, with the bonus of a small theatre above, which we will try out, the next time we are in London. It is nice to find somewhere quieter to sit. We both had a hot sandwich and fries, £14 each with a drink included. I had steak, cooked to perfection, and my partner had chicken. You have the option of a soft or alcohol drink. Cheapest meal deal that we have ever had in London. What I liked it that you could tell it was freshly cooked and it was hot when it arrived, I hate it when food arrives barely warm. 100% we will visit again.

Bit of a shame really, food all tasted of fish, we had burgers, quite expensive, starter,(tired salad with no dressing) burger and chips, 2 beers £78, I know its Chelsea, but much better places nearby

Architecturally stunning Grade-II listed pub not far from Gloucester Road Station. No cask beer on handpump when I visited! Plenty of outdoor seating some of it covered.

Monday 6th May, afternoon. I was sitting on a table where some of the attendees were eating, I went to the bar and asked for two pints, I asked why I was charged over £16 and the response was that he added to the table tab so I had to pay service charge even when I ordered, paid and collect the drinks at the bar. I wasnt earing and I didn't know most of the ppl in the group. I felt scammed Next server was more rational or maybe didn't realized I was sitting in the table, I wasn't charged service chatge for two half pints

Went here for mothers day food was good a choice of Sunday roasts and regular menu. All had starter and main not all of us could manage dessert after this lol.. staff lovely. Will definitely be going back

Pretty disappointing given the area it’s in and the prices. Came for a Sunday roast and while the atmosphere was great, the food was poor. Someone’s chicken was undercooked, there was no apple sauce available (crucial for roast pork) and one of our desserts had clearly been frozen and put in the microwave in attempt to defrost it. Bad enough that it was frozen to begin with but parts of it were warm, others were cold and others were frozen. I’d come here for drinks again but wouldn’t eat.

I first visited this Beautiful and Incredible place when visiting South Kensington. And have since become a frequent visitor. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is Buzzing especially in the evening. Not forgetting the Beautiful Food and Service from IZZY AND ALL OF THE TEAM! Having just recently had a Refurbishment the Decor and Vibe is truly Beautiful especially in the evenings! This is a Sincere and Honest account of a Beautiful London Landmark.

Awful roast, dry chicken, watery gravy, flat Yorkshire puddings (believe they didn’t get the memo that pancake day was last week). The rest of the Veg tasted like it came out of a microwave bag. AVOID

The Sunday roast was the worst roast I’ve ever had. The Yorkshire pudding was flat and simultaneously burnt and soggy. The meat was chewy and the parsnips were impossible to cut through, had to leave them on the plate. Absolute rip off for £20. The servers were nice and the food came out quick but that is the only positive thing I have to say.

Large high ceiling pub with a 50 seat theatre upstairs. Roomy and good for groups. A short walk from Gloucester Road tube and has bus stops very close by.

Very nice, the new refurbishment did not change the friendly atmosphere.

I frequent pubs and restaurants numerous times each week, some I never frequent again; unlike this pub/theatre, which is in my top places to visit list. The food, drink and entertainment have been consistently of a high standard each time. I have seen other people by themselves, who equally feel as comfortable, as I do, when I visit.

Highly recommmend, the Devon fresh cider with the hot goat's cheese. Always delicious! Then, I go upstairs to see a play in the theatre.

I first came to “The Drayton” in 1968. The recent “do up” is outstanding in that everything has been worked over but the character remains intact, very well done the designers and their instructing executives. I cannot recall what the food standards were like in the last century, probably a slightly curled up cheese sandwich 🥪 or some such, notwithstanding we were glad enough to get one after years of virtual starvation at school. These days I rate the food as outstanding on every parameter. Well done Chefie and team! Front of house is also great! Rather I should say outstanding. Huzzah! Kind regards, Nicholas.

Lovely pub if you're in South Ken and don't want South Ken. Beautiful interior, helpful staff, Pride on tap, very good bacon cheeseburger and pies. Also a theatre upstairs, so really worth supporting. We used it as an essential family lunch stop off before going to the Science Museum.

Excellent service and the food was piping hot. The manager was fantastic and very hospitable. Something I don't see often so I thought I would do a review.

Group outing for dinner after a busy day. Good choice on the menu and the prices are reasonable (wine is not cheap). There were 14 of us, and we ordered and paid individually, so didn't expect everything to turn up a once, but one person did wait a very long time. The food was excellent and the portions generous, so don't be greedy. Really good amosphere.

Went there to have a drink with my buddy and when I ordered a soda, they told me that soda refills were extra.

If you want to show visitors how excellent a Sunday roast can be, this is the place. Embarrassingly excellent food, lovely space.

Lovely pub with professional and friendly staff. The food is delicious and a good choice too. We attended a show in the upstairs theatre called 'Bystanders' which was both dark and funny. Some bits terrified me. Great evening! Highly recommend the show and pub ☺️

A rustic look with some of the best chips I ever had and one of the friendliest moods I've ever experienced. The staff is all-around helpful and cheerful, and drinks are plentiful.

Most unpleasant and dysfunctional pub. We went to watch a rugby World Cup match with some friends. Despite the fact this pub advertises that they are showing the World Cup and taking table bookings for that purpose, staff refused to turn the sound on and said ‘it is the way it is’. We were so appalled by this (and also the rudeness of the bar staff) and left for another establishment nearby. It is a shame as this place used to be very nice but now is completely different. Will never visit again.

This spacious, well-lit corner pub with upstairs theatre is well worth a visit for the ambience and the range of above-average food on offer. Good choice of small plates, well executed and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Good beer, proper pub vibes I would say. Comfortable place. Staff seem helpful and friendly. Theatre upstairs with variety of shows we went to 'Boys in the Buff' with clothes optional audience. Very good. Toilets clean but gents upstairs of you don't mind that.
