The Good Life Eatery in Kensington and Chelsea

A gem of a breakfast/lunch spot. We were scouring the neighborhood for celiac & nut free options, and Good Life was able to accommodate. The quinoa/rice bowls & the gluten free wraps were tasty. The staff were super friendly and had detailed ingredient lists to help with selections. The portions aren't massive, but we left feel very satisfied. In fact, we ate there multiple times. Thanks for taking care of us!

Visiting with my daughter who has some food allergies, when asking about suitable options we were met with huffing and puffing and general irritation from the member of staff - like we were a huge inconvenience which made us feel awful. We opted to just purchase one of the pre pre made muffins but were refused service and told “nothing is safe” Essentially telling us to get lost So we had to leave with our daughter in floods of tears as she couldn’t eat anything - literally floods of tears which the staff clearly saw. We were nothing but polite throughout but had to stand our ground through the whole experience, if staff cannot understand that having allergies we need to ask questions and ensure food is suitable then they need some basic training - she couldn’t have cared less and had a generally disgusting attitude towards a family with a small child. For somewhere that is meant to cater for specific diets it’s outrageous and would go so far as to say discriminatory. I would hope good life respond to this with an explanation.

Please don’t go here if you like seasoning… I had the warm bowl with tofu. I have never eaten tofu completely unseasoned, so that was a new experience for me. Definitely top 5 blandest meals of my life :( such a disappointment because it cost me about £12.

The coffe is truly awfull it is full of bubles and even if it was obvious I wanted to sit on a table in the place it was served in pup cups there was no effort put into it it was full of bubles and very bitter the cookie was awfull aswell the brownie tastet quiet good but I wouldn’t recommend you to go there’s if you can somehow avoid it oh and there is very loud disgusting rap musik

We were so excited to eat here. Unfortunately the service was awful, and the staff looked like they would rather be at home. The order was mixed up. The food was average but edible. It was overpriced .

I had the banana muffin. Much too dry and passable taste, I left half. I think it was a few days ago... all for €5.35, an exorbitant price for just 1 muffin. And the waitress is not very friendly

Very tasty food and love that it’s GF/DF. Very rare you get decent waffles that are both. Loved it and will be back again! The kale/coco smoothie was good too!

They blend pre-made smoothies with ice in this cafe. It's disappointing that they aren't made fresh, especially since you call yourselves 'The Good Life.' Even chains like Pret or Joe & The Juice prepare drinks when you order them

My recent visit to good life eatery on Sunday morning was nothing short of a chaotic nightmare. From the moment I walked in, it was clear the place was understaffed and overwhelmed. There was only one lady frantically trying to handle everything – taking orders, making drinks, and serving food – all while the place was bombarded with customers.The result? Slow service, mistakes in orders, and an overall unpleasant atmosphere. The poor woman was clearly doing her best, but it was impossible for her to keep up with the demand. Customers were left waiting far too long Additionally, the lack of staff meant the place was messy and disorganized. Tables weren’t cleared promptly, and there was a noticeable shortage of basic supplies like napkins and clean utensils.Overall, while the coffee itself might have been decent, the abysmal service and chaotic environment overshadowed any positives. Management seriously needs to address the staffing issues if they want to improve customer experience and avoid losing business.

We expected more. The lady who helped us was really unfriendly. Barely a greeting was allowed. And for example, I didn't get a glass or straw with my bottle of sparkling water. The bowl was fine, but really overpriced. It is a soup bowl filled with rice and a layer of vegetables on top. The vegetables are barely seasoned, only the tahini dressing makes it tasty. My friend liked the breakfast burrito, he especially liked the jalapeno dressing.

OMG beautiful food ! Advacado salmon and fantastic eggs, cereal , salads all just amazing. Excellent produce and the lady valentina was absolutely lovely ! Could t fault the speed and quality. Will be coming back …

Really yummy food and plenty of options for people who are gluten free or dairy free. We loved the GF/DF Waffle and chia pudding.

If you’re after clean, nutritious and tasty food in a sentence casual atmosphere, this is a great spot to try.

My daughter, who has a cashew nut allergy selected the Jerk Chicken and Avocado sandwich from the menu. Alongside another item it was noted that it "contained cashew nut pesto" Given that this was NOT written along side the chicken and avocado sandwich we wrongly thought this would be ok! Having eaten most of her food, my daughter became very ill. Regrettably this included vomiting from half way down the staircase leading to the washroom (abd kitchen adjacent) This was incredibly distressing for everyone. One of our party offered to clear it up but the offer was rejected. Whilst we should have mentioned the allergy (and there are signs asking us to do so) we didn't. All the above could have been avoided but here is my greatest concern. There was absolutely NO empathy for my daughter or the possible life threatening situation she was in. Incredibly, the mess on the stairs was not cleaned away (for over half an hour) and it was in sight of the kitchen where food continued to be served to customers. Having left the restaurant, my daughter was ambulanced to hospital where she stayed all evening. Bitterly disappointed with the treatment - or lack of - that we received and the horrible attitude.

A sweet wee place with no fancy trimmings, just excellent healthy food and warm good service.

Then place is nothing too exciting, very bland and plain. I ordered a Banana bread and a coffee which was nothing special whatsoever. The Banana bread was terrible in total honesty, it didn’t taste like you would expect a banana bread to taste like. It was bland, greasy and didn’t taste like bananas. I understand vegan food but at least add some sort of flavour to it so that you can enjoy what you are paying for. Coffee on the other hand was decent and much better that many other coffee shops in the area

Finally tasty GF and DF food! The frittata with the pesto is to die for, the waffles are my favourite sweet treat of the week! The bowls are generous, healthy and immensely yummy. My husband is in love with their banana muffin and I honestly do not get the negative reviews! Wholesome food, fresh and delish.

We absolutely devoured our mains, they were hot and so tasty, full of fresh bright ingredients, and the oat milk latte was absolutely perfect. The guy who served us was incredibly welcoming, we'll definitely return next time we're in London

Usually love the food at St Johns Wood restaurant. Dont know what happened today here. Quinoa was soggy wet and overcooked. Brocolli raw. My favourite waffles were burnt on outside and raw in rhe middle. Very disappointed.

Had exactly the experience that other people have written about in their reviews. Had this experience twice already. Ordered breakfast for 2 people, only received half of the food and when the first half arrived I was told the other food was still coming. No more food arrive, so I asked where the other things were and was told they weren’t on my bill. They forgot to type it in. Not even a “Sorry” or an attempt to make up for it. Prices are way too expensive for this kind of customer service. Staff was unfriendly. Second time I’ve had this situation at this place.

Idea is good but unfortunately employees are not professionals and the quality of the smoothies went downhill recently. It was my favourite place for my vegan smoothies (mainly deliveroo) but lots of wrong items sent lately and sometimes I felt like I only received water with a hint of smoothie. Also most of the vegan treats contain margarine which a big no for me.

Rude manager. Take the order wrong and blame the customer. Food takes ages to arrive, when it does it’s burnt!! Avoid this place!

Great place for healthy wholefood, smoothies and juices. Coffee wasn't half bad either. Friendly and sweet service. Just wish the venue was a little bigger as feels a little bit cramped.

Wir haben Frühstück bestellt davon wurde leider die Hälfte vergessen einzutippen. Als die erste Hälfte kam wiesen wir die Bedingung darauf hin und sie sagte sie hat nur das eingetippt. Soweit nicht so schlimm aber mussten getrennt essen, weil das andere Frühstück erst 20 min später kam. Ein bestellter Latte Machiato kam erst als kleiner Cappuccino und die Korrektur war dann ein Espresso Machiato. Ich hatte dann auch keine Lust mehr etwas zu sagen. Das Essen war lecker, aber für diesen stolzen Preis sollte man Fehler wenigstens anständig ausbessern.

Ordered a matcha latte and paid extra for a sit-down service, but got the drink at a takeaway cup! When I requested for a proper chinaware cup as I wanted to relax, the person poured the drink in a small cup and the latte spilled on the saucer! And that’s how it was served to me….a messy cup and saucer with an expensive latte inside:(

The coffee may be good but having one person working on Saturday morning it’s ridiculous. You can see the person working is stressed, the tables are dirty , people leave because they have not been attended. Shame.

Really upsetting to be told by one of the chefs to go eat somewhere else if I wasnt happy! He was rude and angry , After receiving a precooked warmed up poached egg not on fresh bread as I had specifically asked the young new server who didnt understand but we can forgive her. It was an awful breakfast experience. Expensive, sticky tables and no flavour smashed avocado on a piece of cold rye bread from a packet. Other Lady upstairs was very kind and apologetic. She couldnt refund us as she explained. We didnt finish our food, the egg was horrible. I feel so ripped off, hungry and upset by this experience £34 later. I dont understand how a cafe can operate like this. The Lady on coffee offered us something else but we didnt have time to wait for any hot food. She made a coffee, im sorry to say it was disgusting and I threw it away. The croissant was not fresh and we couldnt eat it

On the first sight this restaurant looks like you could get some nice food with a nice ambient here. But just after we've sat down we've noticed the sticky and dirty tables. A small bowl with veggies and a simple Croissant costed us 16£. I received my croissant immediately, but my girlfriend waited 1 hour for her simple bowl. After the staff noticed that she is still waiting she went to the kitchen just to inform us that they've simply forgot her order. The Croissant was soggy and boring, the wild child bowl was awfully bland. No seasoning, no salt and pepper. They even got the simple order wrong and served it with quinoa instead of the brown rice. Realy can't recommend this place, better search for something else, even tho it's quite beautiful

I love the healthy food, and it’s only one place where I can afford the waffles, cause they are made of almond flour . I advise everyone to try it.

Terrible. We waited 35 minutes for an açai bowl!!! To the extent that we asked for a refund and the food still wasn’t ready.

This review is not for the lovely staff that has served me for years, it is directed to the executive team. I would like to express my sheer discontent at some of the most recent decisions: closing the restaurant one hour earlier due to "inactivity", removing the free meal from the loyalty card, and failing to update Google when the restaurant is not open / closing early. Not to mention having the audacity to claim that teriyaki salmon has been discontinued due to being "too expensive". Having spoken to other restaurant owners, they have acknowledged that all of the aforementioned is nonsensical despite justifications given. London's standard closing time has been 11PM for several years. There still are customers entering and staying past 7PM; to claim otherwise is simply disrespectful. I strongly advise amending parsimonious decisions and being more mindful in the future.

Way overpriced and ridiculous portions, food is ok not amazing

Both female staff members laughed at me as I tried to read the full menu on the black boards but my eye slight isn’t so good. Obviously I should know the full menus before I arrive. She was so busy laughing in my face that she asked me the same question three times. Rude staff, food is mainly kale and hardly any toppings and waiting times long. I waited 20min for a soup take out and waisted my lunch brake. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me.

Disgusting service from VALENTINA. she threatened an elderly lady for smoking outside. No signs up requesting no smoking outside. Valentina threatened to physically remove the lady. She also then claimed ownership of the pavement and, called me an idiot. Awaiting call from area manager. Disgusting service from an uneducated , rude wretch.

Been here for breakfast 3 days in a row! The waffles are definitely my show stopped however we were also enjoyed the wraps, porridge and coffees.

My daughter took me here for Mother’s Day. There are not too many seats in this cafe. The service was OK. The almond chestnut waffle was better than expected. The wild child vegan bowl was underwhelming because the quality of the vegetables was not even, the brocoli and squash was good, the beets and tofu were not good.

Amazing place to go to. Especially the staff they are very attentive and friendly. The food is filling. I recommend the Dal-Wood with jerk chicken and Quinoa but you can also choose brown rice if you don't fancy Quinoa, this also comes as a Vegan alternative and you can get sweet potatoes with it rather than the Jerk Chicken. Another recommendation you can have it the Man-Bowl with teriyaki salmon.

Small and friendly is how I would Describe this cafe. It was rather busy on my visit on a weekday afternoon trip, but it serves a decent flat white so 👌 😊

The girl taking our order when we arrived said it was her first day and she said she didn’t speak much English, I felt sorry for her as she clearly hadn’t had much training on the menu or till. We didn’t know how much we’d paid or get a receipt. Consequently, my food order didn’t arrive but my sister’s did. The more experienced waitress came over and was brisk with us and instead of apologising, suggested that I obviously hadn’t ordered it! As we hadn’t been given a total at the till we had no idea that it hadn’t gone through or we hadn’t paid. Mistakes happen, I don’t mind that. But I do mind when it’s handled so badly. We mentioned it but she didn’t understand what we were trying to say. Otherwise, I love the menu and the options available. It’s a real shame about the service and the pricing seems off. My avo toast was one small slice of bread, whereas my sister had the wrap which was full of chicken, avo, tomato and came with a large bowl of salad - hers was only £2 more?! Didn’t seem to make sense as hers was huge compared to mine. The other majorly off putting thing is that the toilet was FILTHY. The same toilet that opens onto the food prep area and used by staff. The sink had not been cleaned in a long time and the back of the door was disgusting.

I used to go here a lot when I lived here about a year ago and loved their food. Was back today and it has drastically changed. The service is so poor and they were so rude. The food is not cooked properly. I had the man made bowl with roasted tofu. The tofu was heated in the microwave. Barely warm and the vegetables (butternut squash&beetroot) still had the skin on and was rock hard. I do not recommend to anyone to go here. Very disappointed.

Came in on 19/04 evening, The Asian guy on the main reception was very lovely and welcoming. Recommended me a brilliant Salmon bowl.

Gluten free, soy free, dairy free options. They cant guarantee that there won't be cross contamination. So for allergies please avoid. The wild bowl could use more condiments. Overall good experience.

Bought a banana muffin today. It was as solid as a rock, even a knife couldn't help. Tasted nothing like bananas - even the slices that had been glued onto the top didn't add any flavour. They're obviously selling stale food, there's no way this could have been baked on the same day. Waste of over three quid. Plus unfriendly staff.

We love Good Life & it’s our local go to for coffee and brunch/lunch etc. Quality of food is amazing and all of the salads are delicious with super generous portions.

Didn’t even want to put one star. Staff is SO rude. And they cut their portion to literally half the size it was before.

We had an americano and a cappuccino, brownie, cinnamon roll and a croissant. The coffees were really nice, good quality coffee. The croissant was made with wholemeal flour, that was a first and it was surprisingly very tasty. Nice attentive staff and quick service :)

Single (small) toast slice cost me £15. It was yum but it didn't fill me up. I found it disappointing that some menu items were not made fresh e.g. £7 bottled juices. Was told that they had gluten free bread but couldn't swap gluten croissant for gluten free bread because the croissants were pre-made. Door was wide open and everyone inside was eating with their coats on.

Don't be fooled by the photos on the website - avoid this place at all costs. Ordered burritos at £11 and a juice for £7(?!), waited 40 minutes despite being the only people in there eating food (used the disgusting toilet in the interim, which also happens to be next door to the cupboard where the food is prepared in the basement) only to be served tiny wraps not fit for the borrowers, accompanied by a side salad of blackened lettuce... Staff seem annoyed to have you in there and weren't apologetic about the wait at all. Never again.

We visit at a Monday and got a delicious blueberry muffin, a sad almond croissant that tasted like it were made yesterday, a very delicious aciabowl and great coffee. The service was so rude and lacking of quality/energy. And it was very expensive 49£ for 3 acaibowls, 3 coffees, 1 muffin and 1 almond croissant

A small and nice place for a quick coffee or lunch

Travelled a little early this morning to pop by before work and incredibly disappointed to find it closed. Online it says open from 7:30 but clearly Google is wrong or the management of the place is terrible. There wasn’t even a post to say why it was closed.

Food was great. Really enjoy it. However, I was just finishing my coffee and the staff starting arguing and I found it very frustrating so I left. I’ve been in hospital with my son and needed a break - wasn’t my idea of peace and quite. Shame as it was lovely food.

Terrible. We ordered a wrap and pb cups, which were fine. The salad I ordered came without all of the ingredients, and the açaí bowl we ordered was placed sideways in the deliver bag, so it spilled all over the bag and all over our other food. The remaining ingredients in the bowl were way over done- nobody needs 1/4 cup of raw coconut on their açaí bowl. The remaining açaí smoothly bowl tasted terrible. Not worth the money or hassle.

I got the Wild Child warm bowl - the rice was undercooked as well as the lentils. Absolutely no flavour, the vegetables were cold. Also, they have no syrups for the coffee and it tasted really bad. They also don’t have AC in the shop so it was really hot and stuffy and the toilet was really dirty. Staff were friendly. Edit following response from owner: I did not decline and nor was I offered seating outside - please do not make things up just to save face on social media. That is really unprofessional and very disappointing.

Menu on line seems more varied than in the store. Good choice of drinks. Toilets were terrible.

Went there on Sat at around 12. Lots of heathy menu. But service was very disappointing and slow. Sat is a busy period, if two people on the floor cannot cope, they should have more staffs working. Took 30mins to receive this food, some others who ordered after me got foods first. Cleaning tables were not so clean that we had to wipe again. Some forks given were dirty too. Great location.

Shambolic is what comes to mind when you receive a cold slice of bread that is passed off as avocado toast and not even enough chilli flakes to get warmed up on a cold winters day. After that disappointment I was met again by the passionless bar maid telling me there would be no tea as the coffee machine has broken down. When asked if she had a kettle she was stumped by my solution. I now sit here in this cold, emotionless hole..without.my cup of tea. My fiancés Açai bowl was good though.

Great little spot in Chelsea - perfect for healthy food! The menu offers various dishes from staples like Croissants and Avo Toast to more elaborated dishes like butternut and lemon tahini bowls. It also offers an extensive drinks menu incl. coffees, smoothies, and cold pressed smoothies. Everything we ordered was delicious. Only drawback was the fact that the coffee was served in to-go cups - even though we dined in.

There’s an epidemic of London ‘health cafes’ with stingy portions, fad dishes (charcoal sourdough, just like on TikTok/Instagram!), high prices and unfriendlier staff than your nearest McDonalds. This is yet another one of those miserable places. Oh and they don’t allow for customers to charge their phones, a feature which chain stores like Starbucks allow and with a smile. Go to your local cafe or greasy spoon instead for your avo toast and quinoa bowls.

Located just off Kings Road this eatery has a plethora of tasty, healthy eating options. Many of the snacks like peanut butter cups and smoothies are made from scratch on the premises.

Berry Sunrise smoothie. Great! But some very unfriendly staff.

Food always cold and slow service. they put way to much food in the wrap you cannot eat it - gone down hill over the past few years. don't like it how they pre make smoothies - idea of smoothies is they are fresh

I order from here all the time because they sell some super healthy and scrumptious items. Only thing I really want to see is more options as some of them, like the meatballs, aren't so good.

Small place, nice vibe, good food. My sister informed me that it was the BEST salmon and avocado toast she had ever had. That's saying a lot because this is one of her go to things to eat. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice, healthy lunch.

What a fabulous little place! I am staying locally for business, but managed to steal a late breakfast with my partner, here. The food was delicious and very quick to arrive! Staff were lovely and friendly and the vibe was top notch! I didn’t get a snap of my avo-toast with smoked salmon but it was 5* DELISH! I plan to make it my go to spot for breakfast /lunches whilst I am in the local area!
