The dark stained panelling, fireplaces augmented by pictures and ephemera brings a veneer of settled authenticity, adding immeasurably to the ambience. Questionable claims that a wine bar existed on these premises before 1666 seemingly apocryphal, possibly a sprinkle of fairy-dust to the heritage “backstory.”* Nevertheless this is an atmospheric destination, especially the “cellar” presenting an extensive range of wines across the price spectrum and a less impressive range of beers. I didn’t eat here. * According to “Historic England” the Grade II Listed building dates from the late C17 with the current bar exterior and interior mostly early C18 (with the upper floors containing earlier joinery, staircases and “chimney pieces”)

Terrible customer service with the owner just grunting at my wife when she asked for butter and not margarine. When they came to total the cost of the breakfasts , they tried to charge us £30 - ten pounds MORE than it should've been. We walked straight out before they got a chance to get their utensils out!

Very warm and cozy pub/restaurant. Fantastic for its numerous gluten-free options, including fish & chips and sticky toffee pudding, and the excellent Green’s gluten-free beer on tap! The food was excellent. Very friendly and helpful servers. There is a dining room upstairs, but we sat at a very comfortable table on the bar level. I loved The Queen’s Arms in Pimlico!
