Pret A Manger in Islington

it has been closed for several months

Queued for 5 minutes only to be told they weren’t making coffees any more. This at 7 pm, an hour before last Eurostar train. Just put up a sign telling people before they queue. Very disappointing.

It was closed when I arrived, but Google said it was open.

Dog friendly at the heart of Warwick University campus, great coffee and almond croissants.

Ordered a cold drink and the guy spilled ice on the dirty counter and just chucked it straight back in my drink, meaning I had to waste the whole thing and put it down the drain, makes me question the hygiene of the entire place.

Really friendly people. Great service. It’s my wife’s birthday today and we stopped off here for lunch. The lovely guy at the counter made her day with his nice smile!

closed the shop early and wouldn't let me in even though it say they close at 3pm. staff very rude

Went in today to get a cup of tea it wasn't until after I ordered and I got some money out to pay because my bank card was taken the cashier had told me we do not accept cash it's card only. You should put a notice up or tell the customer before they order . I will no longer be going back into this pretty.

More staff needed during office hrs

Lovely staff, food is always great, meaty breakfast roll is delicious & egg and avocado rolls are to die for. Ginger shots are also great in the morning

I just got coffee and croasant from this place. I never feel so humiliated like now over there. The older guy asked me 2 time do I want take away or in side drink. I answered 2 time take away. And he just didn't listen. He was doing everything except listening what I am ordering and telling. And he start shouting on me "I don't need attitude like this". When he asked me"do you want a bag" I told him "No thanks!" and he still start to put my stuff in the bag. I don't know what is wrong with that man. He don't hear people or he just don't listen. But shouting on people is unexpected.

Coffee at Pret used to be good . now it is wear and tasteless. This whole place smelled bad

One of the best Pret’s out there. Manager is fantastically friendly and always calls me “sir”. As a black person/person this is welcome. Some stores/shops make us as a community feel unwelcome. This store has an approach where everyone is treated equally. Thank you Pret.

I am keep asking why there are no vegetarian rolls in the morning only bacon one. The answer: we are making them later. Ridiculous. So vegetarian customers shouldn t eat in the morning only when you guys want. What is this discrimination???

The bred is very hard and not fresh at all. I’m sure it’s from yesterday. Everything else was fine. I’ve ate in.

Shop was very clean and the sandwich was fresh however my subscription wasn’t working so the barista, Tamanna gave me a coffee on the house as I really needed it. Great service as she was super friendly and asked me how my day was going which made my day, will definitely come back. Thank you again.

I usually love pret but the service in this one was AWFUL. Staff were really rude and served people behind me way before. When I asked for my stuff they gave me an attitude. Will definitely not be coming back

Pret staff are often among the friendliest in London. Pentonville are some of the best of the best. recognition of regulars doubly appreciated in mask-wearing times!

Called in for coffee and porridge before train home after Holiday as overnight Hotel did not provide any. Lovely porridge properly made and decent coffee. Staff friendly !

Este negocio está diseminado por todo Londres y sirve mucho para cuando uno ha caminado mucho por la ciudad y desea hacer un alto para tomarse un café y un sandwich sin hacer largas filas. Tiene mucha variedad, aunque muy poca comida caliente.

Pret is always hit and miss for me. For a branch in the middle of a busy international station serving the Eurostar it was shocking to see how limited the range was at 20:00 which was not even late. You could count the number of sandwiches. Staff were not friendly. The lady looking after me decided to walk off half way during serving me which I found out after was to help a colleague. Although it would have been nice if she had said this to me or been apologetic, then I would have been more understanding. She simply came back and asked me if I was ready to pay which I had been or I would not have come to the counter! I then asked her if they had the melting gingerbread snowman 'Melvin' that they do at Christmas as other branches had it to which she had no clue what I was asking. Surely staff should know what is on the menu? I managed to get the last scottish smoked salmon sandwich which I love and was tasty as always. A simple sandwich of smoked salmon, butter and lemon. Although today, I did feel like a wrap or baguette but with barely any choice, I had to go for this. With Pret you know what your getting. I wanted something quick and could not be bothered to walk around. They normally have a good varierty of salads, breads, hot food, fresh fruit, pastries, protein pots and lot's more. They cater well for vegans and all sorts of diets. I love the fact they show ingredients and nutritional information including calories. Their food when available has a big choice and generally good. Their doing well because of this. They really need to make sure branches are adequately stocked throughout the day. Service wise and cleanliness are hit and miss and normally not great. Branches are always filthy and hence I decided to take away even though there was ample seating, I did not want to eat in filth! Yes, they are busy but there is always a lot of staff and they can clean too. My rating is based on variety and service as opposed to the sandwich was very good.

Enjoyed a vegan falafel, avocado and chipotle flat bread wrap with drink from Pret. The wrap was reasonably tasty and had a red pepper and sweet potato filling. Service was swift and friendly.

Thoroughly enjoy this Pret (296 Pentonville Road). The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is great. I especially love the fact that this Pret still offers their Lobster Roll, its my partner's favourite.

Love it's usually get lunch here when in London

Very busy branch mostly people with rolling suitcases waiting to buy food and a drink to take on a train. The new range of gluten free dairy free soups (look for lamps on container not shelf) are fabulously tasty for autumn. Used to get a no gluten containing salad here as a stop gap or run over to st Pancras for an M&S gluten free sandwich but these soups save me that trouble, not at all a pleasant sitting area for a sandwich -buy items to go and take to train (and save the VAT!)

A typical Pret A Manger but the tea was nice and the food looked fresh and tasty. Service was quick and the staff pleasant although not very engaging and hardly made eye contact. There is very little seating in Kings Cross station if you are waiting for a train, so people gravitate to the seating areas of the cafes and Pret is no different; unfortunately there is very little space between the tables and people with large suitcases just compound the problem.

We were on a 6 day fact-finding tour in London and made ample use of this quick service chain. my favorite sandwich is the tuna and cucumber.

This cafe is very useful to buy food for traveling on trains. There is seating if you want to eat in but it is cramped and not designed for people with cases. Our sandwiches were very good.

Dommage qu'il n'y en a pas plus en France. Très varié et pour toute la famille. Reste un petit peu cher mais pour moi, qui mange sans Gluten et sans lactose, je kiffe....surtout les barres choco/coco...

Not enough seating with chairs - plenty of uncomfortable stools that are difficult to get onto though !

This Pret is in the Eurostar departure lounge. They practically have captive customers and could over charge but they dont which is great. Good coffee and good sandwiches and effcient counter staff.

Prefer Pret A Manger coffee compare to other brand. Standard size for all hot drink. Nice fresh croissant,hot snack, soup was also available at bigger store.

Popped in to this Pret in Kings Cross station for a nice cup of tea. Nice service, some seating if you’ve got time to sit to eat and aren’t taking food to go.

The kitchen needs to grasp that the ' Macaroni Cheese with Kale and Cauliflower ' does really need the addition of CAULIFLOWER !! and ease up on the Kale.

This Pret is a little smaller than the average Pret shop and consequently, slightly less choice than is normal. Otherwise pretty standard Pret in terms of presentation, speed of service and staff friendliness. I give an extra because of the the staff went of the of the way return my dropped keys.

This is a useful but busy Pret. I usually go for a sandwich but tried a Chicken Caesar salad. It was ok rather than great - a bit bland apart from a very large pot of sauce which to me was rather overpowering.

Shut it down They do not have a toilet. This should be illegal.their Their warped logic is that Kings cross is near ish. Not even true. Shame on them and the government to allow them to exist without a loo.

A good place to sit and watch the world go by while you are having coffee and a cookie. Their coffee is decent.

Pret coffee is always great but on this occasion I had a payment issue that the team helped me with perfectly. I was already a committed customer but their help in my moment of need has taken that to a new level. Genuinely grateful!

Sándwiches había acabado, aunque el café estaba bien. Largas colas para ser servido lo que fue frustrante. El salón de la salida en sí es pobre con capacidad inadecuada y nadie limpiando las mesas. Había cuatro trenes que salgan en 1 hora pero aún así la experiencia debe ser de primera clase en esta instalación insignia. Hay poca disposición para refrescos aquí así que comprar su comida para picar y el tren en la calle Pancras la explanada de la estación.

Za mě super zdravé rychlé občerstvení skoro na každém rohu v Londýně :) Něco možná pro nás dražší, ale vždy jsem si pochutnala. Nejvíc mě oslnil box, který udržoval hotová jídla (polévky, hlavní jídla) teplé. Mají tu samozřejmě také saláty, bagety, tousty, kávu, vody a ovoce :)

Had snacks numerous times in Pret A Manger . Organic and natural food stuff. Veggies and sandwiches. Coffee excellent for my mom as she liked it.

A conseiller pour un sandwich, un wrap, une soupe etc. Bref, rien de bien extraordinaire mais produits de qualité et plutôt orientés "bonne bouffe", ce qui est franchement pas mal pour manger un peu moins gras à Londres.

Had a disappointing visit, with staff attempting a joke but ending up being rude and insensitive. The food is average, but drinks are slow to be served. No toilets, store is draughty and cold, and next to a busy road.

Muitos hoteis em Londres nao incluem café da manha na diaria. Adorei o Pret a manger, voce encontra pela cidade toda inclusive dentro de varias estaçoes de metro. Café muito bom, opçoes tradicionais e chas, muita opçao de comidinhas leves e vegetarianas, mas também tem sanduiches de todo tipo. Para o cafe da manha tem até Aòai, adorei, mas o meu preferido foi o iogurte com granola, castanhas e fibras, delicioso e bem barato.

Много студено и открито място. Чистота не е на ниво. Боклука е препълнен и няма как да си отсервираш. Персоналът не е дружелюбен.

Little pricey, but if you bring your own reusable cup you get 50p off your drink :) The avocado sandwich is also delicious!
