Food tasted good. The owner and staff were very nice. Burgers are currently on 50% but the bill still ended up being more than I thought it would. £9 for the squid for the amount you get is not worth it (although when I mentioned it the owner made a few more pieces free of charge). Would be a 5🌟 if not for the portion sizes and price.

The staff couldn't have been friendlier! Excellent service and the food was Amazing! Just popped in on the off-chance. So impressed will definitely return A+++++

Person serving me here was so rude. Started an argument when he asked me “is everything okay?”. He forgot what we ordered. He said “of course I’m arguing with you, I’m human”. Terrible service. He then was swearing at me in Bengali whilst standing a foot away from me. Poor attitude from staff. I would not recommend coming here. I won’t be surprised if this place didn’t last long. I won’t be surprised if he continued this argument in this post. We paid our meal and ate quietly in his restaurant. *edit in response to owner’s comment: 1) No plates were licked clean 2) We were not rude to staff, in fact it was the owner who served us 3) The owner/server was aggressive towards us. 4) I was raised perfectly well, unlike the owner. He clearly had no sense of taste or class.

I was craving a gourmet burger, so I thought I’ll give this place a try. I went for the classic burger and the cluckin chicken burger meal. I have to say it was delicious. I really like the atmosphere. It’s very cosy and has plenty of parking around. The only downside is I feel like management does not treat their staff properly as I heard some foul language towards staff while I was eating which I didnt appreciate it but other than that good food and good customer service. They also have 50% off all burgers the whole month of October 2024 so worth a shot trying yourself.

It has been an absolute success. The decoration is very careful in its style. Very friendly, fast and clean service. We chose some nachos to share, delicious! (Of course, be careful with the spiciness...), also a couple of hamburgers and also delicious. To repeat for sure!👌👌oh, and the best thing is super good price (for London).

We went to this restaurant in juanary 2024 and absolutely loved it ! Very tasty meal, a very kind and cute waitress introduce us to english culture. Affordable, you'll eat well for your money ! We recommand it for sure ;)

This is third time we went for breakfast but the store was closed. this time I even called Friday to find out if they will open at 11 they said yes but the restaurant was closed. This is a joke. If they don’t wanna serve breakfast then say it. 3 different occasions we went Saturday they were closed. They open the store whenever they feel like and close it whenever they want to. Is Breakfast meant to be served at 1!!! We had to wait so long and still it wasn’t open. The owner probably sleeps until late and opens the store very late or keeps it close without any prior notice

The burgers are tasty and they also have vegan option! They allowed my mum's little Yorkshire dog in as she's well behaved.

It used to be very good but the food like the hot dog and the prawns were more drizzle that substance or quality. It was also very expensive for what it was. Of the several items we had l would recommend the nachos and the prawns, everything else especially the burger and hotdogs was not worth the price.

good service, everything was explained clearly. we were checked up on regularly which was nice. interior could do with a little bit of an update.. sticky floor and it was dark inside however don’t let it put you off the food! my burger was AMAZING. the buffalo chicken was quite overwhelming I wouldn’t recommend those, however the muddy chips were INSANE. proper homemade feel I can’t recommend them enough. definitely worth a try!

This was mine and my Italian boyfriend’s first stop in London since we landed late enough - it was super quiet however we that’s not so surprising for late Monday. The food was absolutely lovely - the homemade chips were delicious (we were even given extra because they weren’t happy with the first portion size even though it was fine but you’ve got to love the extra attention) - the tempura prawns were presented beautifully and I could have definitely eaten more and finally the chicken burger was big and juicy - the staff were so attentive and friendly (Dinah - sorry about the spelling) and another man! Will definitely be back before we finish our trip

The service and food were amazing. They were friendly and accommodating to our party. They were a 10/10 place to visit for dinner and would definitely recommend for anyone. There is something for everyone.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Tragic, food swimming in oil! FROZEN BURGERS ARE NOT GOURMET! RUDE MAN SHOUTING AT FEMALE STAFF! FILTHY TOILET. SHOES WERE STICKING TO THE FLOORS When sending back the potatoe skins the poor waitress looked horrified. Well no wonder why, the way the chef OR what ever he was! Spoke to her we could hear from the restaurant. He was just saying well that's how it comes to us and to.the waitress. It was crispy and oil was running from it and filled the plate Don't bother even attempting to eat here. The just eats drive was told 2 mins and sat waiting for 30mins Another customer ordered. When it's came to the table he asked if it was fresh and was told by the chef, No the Burgers are frozen! The customer left three plates of food and left..... which we should have done as well.... The waitress bless her was lovely and tried her hardest. She seemed to be doing everything but helping deep fry the food. She was very polite. Main reason we stayed and tried to eat the food out of worry she would be blamed for customer leaving.

Entrance door - buckle was very difficult to open, waiter was very friendly and tried hard. Korean BBQ chicken and sweet potato fries were consumed. Chicken wings were very heavily breaded and tasted too vinegary, unfortunately sweet potato fries were added a little later. Some of the drinks were not available.

I just had the least meaty gourmet burger ive ever had! Literally could not taste the meat and the bun was waaay too sweet. What a disappointment what a waste of money!

Let me start with the service, the service is impeccable! They were so considerate, from moving tables to make us more comfortable, to being very patient whilst we order our food. Every single item we ordered came perfect. I never leave reviews but I genuinely had a lovely dinner with my family here, something different in the middle of east London. Do ask for their special menu there are hidden gems on there!! Nicest people going, wishing only success for you guys!

Tried their Classic burger lunch deal. Delightful, I must say Worth every penny.

When you walk in, this place has a greasy smell and floor is sticky. So it puts you off a bit from the outset. We wanted to try the Sunday roast but that was unavailable. The only positive was the lamb burger tasted good. Their prices, however, are utterly outrageous. £13.50 or a normal burger only without fries. In comparison, in Monster burger, New Road, you can get any burger of choice with fries and drink for £12.99. Here, a normal lamb burger is £13.50 alone. Chips £3.50 drinks a further £2/3 can't remember how much I paid. Overall, better value for money elsewhere for much cleaner environment. The full English breakfast was standard with frozen sausages. Nothing special.

Have this local place a try for breakfast, the food wasn't bad, portion size good, but for almost £15 I'd say about £5 overpriced for what it was. On the window it said freshly brewed coffee but we paid £3 for what was definitely instant coffee which was a rip. We were the only ones in there, the waitress was nice.

Positives were the food was good. Negatives were the pina calada was poor, and it took a long time for starters to come even though the restaurant was quiet. It was sad to see the man behind the counter argue and berate his colleague in the kitchen. Everyone could hear them argue which made the atmosphere awkward and it came across as very unprofessional.

Most underrated burgers in Whitechapel/LON east. LOVE their food and very accommodating to requests.

I arrived just after opening, but there was no one else there for my whole visit (and I was on my own). The waitress seemed nice, but was quite slow and disappeared for long periods of time so I couldn't get her attention to ask for Water or anything else. Another staff? member arrived, went to the back and started shouting at the others which made it very uncomfortable for me so I quickly finished my food, but of course struggled to find the waitress to pay my bill and leave. The food itself was good, I had the classic burger which was yummy, but I wouldn't bother with the sweet potato fries as they were quite undercooked.

They make a delicious, juicy, hand formed burger with tasty burger sauce, gherkins, cheese, and turkey bacon all served on a fresh poppy seed brioche roll. It’s now my burger stop in Whitechapel.

HARD PASS Didn't get as far as eating the food here as the Chef/owner was probably the worst I've ever met. Aggressive, intimidating and unprofessional are some of the more polite words I would use to describe him. Constantly swearing, complaining, his own staff were storming out of the place mid service. Kept on saying he was the only person in the kitchen but there was only one other table of 4 diners there so no excuse for the delays. There was a table next to us that hadn't been cleared and the diners had left most of their food so guessing it wasn't very good anyway. Swore repeatedly at my group (women and children) as we were leaving. Genuinely felt like I was living a scene from Gordon's Kitchen Nightmares. Unreal. I wouldn't trust all of the 5 star reviews on here are being genuine tbh. I cant see how they would be.

AVOID! I have never been to a restaurant where the chef has been verbally abusive - swearing and walking around extremely threateningly, scaring my child and making her cry. Even the waitress stormed out because of the chef's (maybe even the boss?) behaviour. We could hear him swearing in the kitchen too and complaining that all the food was ruined and then still expected us to sit and wait for food that was clearly never going to arrive. Appalling behaviour. OVERALL: Terrible service for halal food, sticky floors, awkward and unwelcoming atmosphere and clearly not well managed.

The worst experience I have ever had dining out, chef who is also the owner was swearing his staff and the whole restaurant could hear. When we approached them to explain that we also had our child with us who can hear everything, he was unapologetic and couldn’t give a toss. Horrendous experience. I had to takeaway my food because I couldn’t eat in that negative space. Never again! Felt bad for the two female staff members who were working there. I would give 0 stars if it was possible.

I’m visiting from America and I must say this is the best meal I’ve had in a long while. I ordered the steak frites and they were so so very good. It took a little long but maybe that’s just because I was tired from my trip. I will definitely come back again. The host was so incredibly nice & I even got to talk to a cook as well and he too was so incredibly nice. Nothing but good things about this restaurant. It is a must visit if you are in the area. Been going to gourmet hut for years, everything I have tried on their menu is top tier, would recommend the classic burger as me and my husband travel all the way to Whitechapel for it, as well as the chilli dog and curly fries. Customer service is even better, very lovely people.

Got introduced to this restaurant by my brother and so far with the things I have had i really enjoy. Nothing has disappointed me. The workers are very nice and make you comfortable to want to come back and revisit the restaurant. I’d recommend the classic burger

Delivery was on time although he went the wrong way at first. The food however did not live up to my expectations. The Regular Pulled Beef Fries were a really small portion, just a handful of chips, the Pulled Beef on it did taste really nice. Coco Mocktail was half filled in a small cup with ice, so definitely was not worth the price, none spilt so it was baffling to me why it was half filled. Full English was good minus the Beans (they were really salty), everything else in the Full English tasted really good, a nice portion as well. Maybe I'll give this place another go, but right now, I'm just a bit disappointed with my order

Was quite disappointed with my burger as this place has really good reviews. Firstly there isn’t a lot of meat in the burger so all you really taste is sauce and bread. What really disappointed me however was the toppings. Putting one pickle slice and a tiny square of turkey bacon is just ridiculous! Maybe better care is taken when eating in but this was such a disappointment.

Ordered the Chicken burger and both came with a roasted burger buns it was soo solid I was shocked this was served as an item to eat. The firecraker burger was dry. The home- made fries were uncooked on the inside and burnt on the outside (probably forgot to defrost before frying?) This is the second time I've been let down by them, thought first time was a one-off - never again! Update Dec 2023 (2 years later) I forgot I ordered from this place and ordered again .... Big Mistake! Ordered the loaded fries no change with it being undercooked. However worst part was that we got 5 thick cut slices of potato with some minced meat for £8... like where was the rest of the fries? Bought the TGH special burger - if your on a diet and looking to slim down this might be worth a try the patties are soo small we all ended up having another meal !!!

The Lamb ‘roast’ was shocking. It took over 1 hour to receive our food, despite us being the only customers. We should have been warned that it would take that long when they took the order. When it finally arrived, the lamb shank itself was nice, and so was the gravy, but unfortunately the roast potatoes and carrots were extremely undercooked and I doubt they were even roasted in an oven, and were stone cold when served. The Yorkshire pudding was horrendous, it had no flavour, was cold and hard. We could hear the microwave being operated numerous times, leading me to believe the entire meal was microwaved. The bill came to over £100, which we told the waitress we cannot pay, as three quarters of our meal was inedible and we left 90% on the plate. She then stated we would still have to pay for our food since we had eaten “half”, which was untrue, and offered us a discount of 15%. What a joke. We paid £47.95 as we agreed to pay for the side, one drink and the lamb part of our meal (not the veg or yorkshire pudding). Today was the first time I had to leave a restaurant in the middle of a meal and refuse to pay full price. £16 for the lamb roast is extortionate, the management/ owners must be delusional charging such high prices for such poor quality food. I pity anyone who pays the unjustifiable £25 for steak frites.

I have tried being fair with my review, Staff were very nice & Polite, but the food took over an hour to make & serve, hence why I put the service as 2 stars. I had the breakfast from here before and based on that, I would happily give 4/5 stars for the food, but I tried their Sunday Roast today, and was very disappointed, the roast potatoes were not boiled inside properly, the Yorkshire Pudding was literally cardboard & had to be returned, It must have been microwaved, Lamb Shank was the only thing decent thing on the plate. I can vouch for their breakfast, but I suggest anyone considering their Sunday Roast to consider another option unless they heavily improve this menu item or remove it completely.

Chicken was tough bun was soggy, chips nice by out about 11 of them, milkshake I liked, delivery driver was rubbish, you can’t phone your client who tells you the 2nd floor then go to the 1st floor get no answer from the wrong door then leave without phoning again, if I hadn’t looked out of the window to see him leaving I wouldn’t have got my food….. unbelievable…. You need to up your game…definitely not worth the £20 I paid..

Update - food still good but I would advise not to order their offers on Ubereats, you'll have very small portions including a one third of turkey bacon which was really poor form. Always a reliable meal from here, been ordering for years, never disappoints and is always super fast via ubereats. The burgers are all tasty and chips are my fav out of any similar eateries.

The food is so delicious here. The burgers are something else! Me and my friends dined here and loved it. They do a really good English breakfast as well and muddy chips. You need to check this place out if you’re out and about in London as it never disappoints. OH and it’s halal food too! The staff are attentive and friendly & food is just amazing! 10/10 🫡

This place was a huge let down due to the attitude of the owner! Zero tolerance with staff and cannot seem to accept any sort of criticism from customers. His approach was aggressive and uncalled for. Food was actually nice (even after a 90 minute wait) but left with a bitter taste due to his behaviour!

Popped by after having a pint with a couple lads. Food was alright 5/10 at most - manager/owner i think named Juhal? was very rude to his staff which was quite upsetting to see as a customer. It’s genuinely heartbreaking to see people who are running around and trying to serve their best, be shouted at and told off while he hides in the back away from customers. Atleast thats what I could tell from what I saw. All in all, you’d rather walk another 5-10 mins and go to the nearby chicken shops. Even the bossmen there have adequate manners and know not to shout at their employees infront of customers. Ridiculous lol

Not sure why the recent bad reviews. Came in with my fiancée tonight (Monday) only a handful of people in and as I'm writing this only us. We haven't even left yet! What can I say. Such a nice, cosy atmosphere, rustic surroundings with chilled, low volume music playing in the background. Honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had and I've never been a huge fan. (Love a smashed Patty but not keen on the thick frozen rubbish you get in pubs) I had a beef patty perfectly cooked medium well with pulled beef brisket, cheese and red onion in a seeded brioche bun and my fiancée had beef patty with American cheese, cheddar, gherkin, onion and spicy burger sauce. We shared a portion of deliciously crispy fries to top it off. Food was piping hot 🔥 There's always someone who has one minor issue and decides to put it on google with a 1* review, how many people leave happy and take time out of their day to leave a 5*? Friendly attentive and welcoming service and well worth a short wait. We will be back! 5*****

The atmosphere in the restaurant was tense from the start as the owner/chef openly shouted at the staff, creating an uncomfortable environment. The main issue we had was with the service. Our food arrived 1 and half hours late and to make matters worse, the timing was completely off! We had our burgers arrive first and then had a half hour wait for the chips. We also ordered a hotdog which was allegedly sold out an hour and a half into our wait. We attempted to address these concerns with the owner who seemed to have already been frustrated. When we provided feedback about the delayed chips and no hotdog, the owner responded defensively and unprofessionally. His attitude was horrible and he kept repeating that it was ‘disrespectful’ to send back chips, even though they arrived late and well after the rest of the meal. The owner kept responding to our disappointment with "sorry, what else do you want me to do?". The combination of delayed service, poor timing of food delivery, unavailability of menu items, the owner's unprofessional reaction to customer feedback and lack of accountability, made this dining experience horrible and has definitely left a lasting negative impression!! Definitely will not be returning!
