Randomly stumbled upon this place but, my God, am I glad we did. Easily the best veggie burger I've ever had - and everyone around the table with menu selections from chicken to hamburger said the same. Don't hesitate to visit this place, asap.

We ended up here by chance on a Saturday lunchtime. One of the best burgers I've ever had, and I'm picky. My equally picky vegetarian friend said it was the best veggie burger he's ever had. I'm actually gutted I don't live near here, cos I'd eat here alllllll the time. Great stuff.

Absolute hidden gem of a burger place, superb food and friendly staff. Found it completely by chance but will be back!

What a sweet little oasis in a concrete jungle! Burgers were delicious, triple fried homemade chips lovely and staff very friendly and helpful, would highly recommend. A Fish burger with chips in the burger, tasted great.

I went their with my friend for brunch. The food quality and taste was excellent. The environment was fantastic. A nice place with good food is hard enough to find but this place is a 10 on 10💌

Today was the first time I've eaten at The Gourmet Hut after being recommended by a friend that they were doing half price burgers as my son was craving for burgers and they are halal too. The actual price is reasonable to me and can be expensive to some people. The burger was fantastic and the service was really good. We ordered TGH special X2 and Firecracker 11 with curly fries. It is actually the truth when they tell you these guys make burgers that melt in your mouth. You also need to admire the burger before you eat because of how good it looks (if you can even resist!). Great staff too! For me those two things are the most important part about eating out. I suggest you give this place a go if you like your burgers. I will definitely go back again soon and definitely when they do offers like half price 😄

Today I went with my kids unfortunately food was not good at all on top of that service charge 10% but service was not great. We left most of the food on table. Neither burger was good neither loaded chips. It was my daughter birthday she was so upset.

Food tasted good. The owner and staff were very nice. Burgers are currently on 50% but the bill still ended up being more than I thought it would. £9 for the squid for the amount you get is not worth it (although when I mentioned it the owner made a few more pieces free of charge). Would be a 5🌟 if not for the portion sizes and price.

Surprised at how tasty the food was at The Gourmet Hut - definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. However, I did benefit from a special discount of 50% and I’m not sure if I would be happy to pay full price.

Person serving me here was so rude. Started an argument when he asked me “is everything okay?”. He forgot what we ordered. He said “of course I’m arguing with you, I’m human”. Terrible service. He then was swearing at me in Bengali whilst standing a foot away from me. Poor attitude from staff. I would not recommend coming here. I won’t be surprised if this place didn’t last long. I won’t be surprised if he continued this argument in this post. We paid our meal and ate quietly in his restaurant. *edit in response to owner’s comment: 1) No plates were licked clean 2) We were not rude to staff, in fact it was the owner who served us 3) The owner/server was aggressive towards us. 4) I was raised perfectly well, unlike the owner. He clearly had no sense of taste or class.

I was craving a gourmet burger, so I thought I’ll give this place a try. I went for the classic burger and the cluckin chicken burger meal. I have to say it was delicious. I really like the atmosphere. It’s very cosy and has plenty of parking around. The only downside is I feel like management does not treat their staff properly as I heard some foul language towards staff while I was eating which I didnt appreciate it but other than that good food and good customer service. They also have 50% off all burgers the whole month of October 2024 so worth a shot trying yourself.

It has been an absolute success. The decoration is very careful in its style. Very friendly, fast and clean service. We chose some nachos to share, delicious! (Of course, be careful with the spiciness...), also a couple of hamburgers and also delicious. To repeat for sure!👌👌oh, and the best thing is super good price (for London).

We went to this restaurant in juanary 2024 and absolutely loved it ! Very tasty meal, a very kind and cute waitress introduce us to english culture. Affordable, you'll eat well for your money ! We recommand it for sure ;)

This is third time we went for breakfast but the store was closed. this time I even called Friday to find out if they will open at 11 they said yes but the restaurant was closed. This is a joke. If they don’t wanna serve breakfast then say it. 3 different occasions we went Saturday they were closed. They open the store whenever they feel like and close it whenever they want to. Is Breakfast meant to be served at 1!!! We had to wait so long and still it wasn’t open. The owner probably sleeps until late and opens the store very late or keeps it close without any prior notice

The burgers are tasty and they also have vegan option! They allowed my mum's little Yorkshire dog in as she's well behaved.

It used to be very good but the food like the hot dog and the prawns were more drizzle that substance or quality. It was also very expensive for what it was. Of the several items we had l would recommend the nachos and the prawns, everything else especially the burger and hotdogs was not worth the price.

good service, everything was explained clearly. we were checked up on regularly which was nice. interior could do with a little bit of an update.. sticky floor and it was dark inside however don’t let it put you off the food! my burger was AMAZING. the buffalo chicken was quite overwhelming I wouldn’t recommend those, however the muddy chips were INSANE. proper homemade feel I can’t recommend them enough. definitely worth a try!

This was mine and my Italian boyfriend’s first stop in London since we landed late enough - it was super quiet however we that’s not so surprising for late Monday. The food was absolutely lovely - the homemade chips were delicious (we were even given extra because they weren’t happy with the first portion size even though it was fine but you’ve got to love the extra attention) - the tempura prawns were presented beautifully and I could have definitely eaten more and finally the chicken burger was big and juicy - the staff were so attentive and friendly (Dinah - sorry about the spelling) and another man! Will definitely be back before we finish our trip

This was the best burger shop it's just a disappointment that it is no longer a hmc supplier I hope it goes back to having hmc meat supplier such a shame I would give it more than 5 stars if it starts again to buy its meat products from hmc suppliers insha Allaah

Estaba crujiente y el aceite corría de ella y llenaba el plato No te molestes en intentar comer aquí. El coche de solo come le dijeron 2 minutos y se sentó a esperar durante 30 minutos Otro cliente pidió. Cuando llegó a la mesa preguntó si estaba fresca y el chef le dijo: "¡No, las hamburguesas están congeladas! El cliente dejó tres platos de comida y se fue. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . La camarera la bendijo fue encantadora y se esforzó al máximo. Parecía estar haciendo todo menos ayudar a freír la comida. Era muy educada. La razón principal por la que nos alojamos y tratamos de comer la comida por preocupación sería culpado por el cliente que se va.

Entrance door - buckle was very difficult to open, waiter was very friendly and tried hard. Korean BBQ chicken and sweet potato fries were consumed. Chicken wings were very heavily breaded and tasted too vinegary, unfortunately sweet potato fries were added a little later. Some of the drinks were not available.

I just had the least meaty gourmet burger ive ever had! Literally could not taste the meat and the bun was waaay too sweet. What a disappointment what a waste of money!

Let me start with the service, the service is impeccable! They were so considerate, from moving tables to make us more comfortable, to being very patient whilst we order our food. Every single item we ordered came perfect. I never leave reviews but I genuinely had a lovely dinner with my family here, something different in the middle of east London. Do ask for their special menu there are hidden gems on there!! Nicest people going, wishing only success for you guys!

Me, my nan, and my daughter, come to this restaurant regularly. The staff are always extremely kind and friendly, and very good with my 3 year old. The food is outstanding and never fails to leave me feeling full and extremely satisfied. Couldn't rate it high enough.

When you walk in, this place has a greasy smell and floor is sticky. So it puts you off a bit from the outset. We wanted to try the Sunday roast but that was unavailable. The only positive was the lamb burger tasted good. Their prices, however, are utterly outrageous. £13.50 or a normal burger only without fries. In comparison, in Monster burger, New Road, you can get any burger of choice with fries and drink for £12.99. Here, a normal lamb burger is £13.50 alone. Chips £3.50 drinks a further £2/3 can't remember how much I paid. Overall, better value for money elsewhere for much cleaner environment. The full English breakfast was standard with frozen sausages. Nothing special.

Have this local place a try for breakfast, the food wasn't bad, portion size good, but for almost £15 I'd say about £5 overpriced for what it was. On the window it said freshly brewed coffee but we paid £3 for what was definitely instant coffee which was a rip. We were the only ones in there, the waitress was nice.

Positives were the food was good. Negatives were the pina calada was poor, and it took a long time for starters to come even though the restaurant was quiet. It was sad to see the man behind the counter argue and berate his colleague in the kitchen. Everyone could hear them argue which made the atmosphere awkward and it came across as very unprofessional.

Most underrated burgers in Whitechapel/LON east. LOVE their food and very accommodating to requests.

I arrived just after opening, but there was no one else there for my whole visit (and I was on my own). The waitress seemed nice, but was quite slow and disappeared for long periods of time so I couldn't get her attention to ask for Water or anything else. Another staff? member arrived, went to the back and started shouting at the others which made it very uncomfortable for me so I quickly finished my food, but of course struggled to find the waitress to pay my bill and leave. The food itself was good, I had the classic burger which was yummy, but I wouldn't bother with the sweet potato fries as they were quite undercooked.

They make a delicious, juicy, hand formed burger with tasty burger sauce, gherkins, cheese, and turkey bacon all served on a fresh poppy seed brioche roll. It’s now my burger stop in Whitechapel.

HARD PASS Didn't get as far as eating the food here as the Chef/owner was probably the worst I've ever met. Aggressive, intimidating and unprofessional are some of the more polite words I would use to describe him. Constantly swearing, complaining, his own staff were storming out of the place mid service. Kept on saying he was the only person in the kitchen but there was only one other table of 4 diners there so no excuse for the delays. There was a table next to us that hadn't been cleared and the diners had left most of their food so guessing it wasn't very good anyway. Swore repeatedly at my group (women and children) as we were leaving. Genuinely felt like I was living a scene from Gordon's Kitchen Nightmares. Unreal. I wouldn't trust all of the 5 star reviews on here are being genuine tbh. I cant see how they would be.

AVOID! I have never been to a restaurant where the chef has been verbally abusive - swearing and walking around extremely threateningly, scaring my child and making her cry. Even the waitress stormed out because of the chef's (maybe even the boss?) behaviour. We could hear him swearing in the kitchen too and complaining that all the food was ruined and then still expected us to sit and wait for food that was clearly never going to arrive. Appalling behaviour. OVERALL: Terrible service for halal food, sticky floors, awkward and unwelcoming atmosphere and clearly not well managed.

The worst experience I have ever had dining out, chef who is also the owner was swearing his staff and the whole restaurant could hear. When we approached them to explain that we also had our child with us who can hear everything, he was unapologetic and couldn’t give a toss. Horrendous experience. I had to takeaway my food because I couldn’t eat in that negative space. Never again! Felt bad for the two female staff members who were working there. I would give 0 stars if it was possible.

I’m visiting from America and I must say this is the best meal I’ve had in a long while. I ordered the steak frites and they were so so very good. It took a little long but maybe that’s just because I was tired from my trip. I will definitely come back again. The host was so incredibly nice & I even got to talk to a cook as well and he too was so incredibly nice. Nothing but good things about this restaurant. It is a must visit if you are in the area. Got introduced to this restaurant by my brother and so far with the things I have had i really enjoy. Nothing has disappointed me. The workers are very nice and make you comfortable to want to come back and revisit the restaurant. I’d recommend the classic burger

Been going to gourmet hut for years, everything I have tried on their menu is top tier, would recommend the classic burger as me and my husband travel all the way to Whitechapel for it, as well as the chilli dog and curly fries. Customer service is even better, very lovely people.

Delivery was on time although he went the wrong way at first. The food however did not live up to my expectations. The Regular Pulled Beef Fries were a really small portion, just a handful of chips, the Pulled Beef on it did taste really nice. Coco Mocktail was half filled in a small cup with ice, so definitely was not worth the price, none spilt so it was baffling to me why it was half filled. Full English was good minus the Beans (they were really salty), everything else in the Full English tasted really good, a nice portion as well. Maybe I'll give this place another go, but right now, I'm just a bit disappointed with my order

Was quite disappointed with my burger as this place has really good reviews. Firstly there isn’t a lot of meat in the burger so all you really taste is sauce and bread. What really disappointed me however was the toppings. Putting one pickle slice and a tiny square of turkey bacon is just ridiculous! Maybe better care is taken when eating in but this was such a disappointment.

Great little place few minutes walk from the royal London hospital. Highly recommended
